115.03.2024Burning V Sternness10.0This match is fantastic. Lots of exciting action, an all-time legendary hot crowd, a good story being told throughout the bout, and they did an excellent job of setting up some of the big issues for SummerSlam. The match was an unequivocal success and I dont see how it possibly could have been better, so for that reason it gets the perfect score!

2123.12.2023Wieczus8.0Phenomenal main event with a one of a kind atmosphere. Some great action mixed with good improvising from ten great workers at the time, thanks to which it felt like a genuine fight. The crowd was obviously incredibly hot for the whole Hart Foundation and the pops for every single thing made by them were one of the loudest I have ever heard. A lot of fantastic performances, from Pillman finally having a PPV debut, through Bulldog showing some convincingly looking aggression, to Owen being the MVP of the whole contest. Not often do you see a match like this and it most certainly was a must see experience.

6325.03.2023Wrasslinfan61910.0Awesome match, the crowd turned A good match into A great one. This crowd is actually wild and I love it. This entire show is an all-timer because the crowd. The Hart Foundation winning was the right choice due to how over they were in Canada.

7227.01.2023bigsubwoofer9.0A great moment in wrestling history. The action was brilliant and showed how capable some of these blokes really are. Everyone got to shine, nobody looked out of place, and even Avil and The Road Warriors looked good here. This was no doubt one of the finest performances of both Bret and Austin's careers.

8603.09.2022flightaker3219.0The energy for this match was insane and you can feel it as soon as every single member of the Hart Foundation comes out. The crowd somehow even gets louder when Bret is winning the opening brawl exchange against Austin, the camera even starts shaking. Everything they did feels electric, it helps with the fact that this was simply one hell of a brawl. The finish was anti climatic as hell but it still doesn't take away from this match and the atmosphere behind it.****1/2

9424.07.2022cactus10.025 years on and I don't think I've seen a more intense crowd than the one we got during this match. These fans would have died for the Hart Foundation! Austin has the crowd wanting his head, and he didn't even need to change his act up much from his usual babyface persona. All he had to was flip the crowd off once and they wanted him dead! Austin and Bret open and they bring the hate as they trade punches. I liked the little nod to their Survivor Series '96 match as Bret gets a nearfall by countering Austin's submission into a pinning attempt. It's bizarre seeing the babyface maul a heel like a pack of dogs, but it made sense as these guys would still be villains to the US crowd watching at home and they were still the heels in the grand scheme of things, even if they were idolized by the Calgary crowd. Both Austin and Owen are removed from the match due to injury, but they come back and the hatred picked right where they left off. Austin can't help himself from fighting with the Hart family in the crowd and he even put his hands on Stu Hart! The other family members spill over and it's all out carnage. Owen is able to roll up Austin during the commotion and get the victory. The victors fight off Team USA and the PPV goes off the air with a feel-good ending, with all the family celebrating in the ring. One of my all-time favorite matches. Over half the participants in this match were way past their sell-by dates and even they couldn't have brought this one down for me!

9726.06.2022Giantfan19808.0Possibly the most intense crowd for any WWF main event of the 97 season. Calgary boos the Americans obviously but Austin gets the loudest chorus. Bret and Austin to start. JR makes a comment that some guys at ringside are making a documentary for Bret Hart, that would turn out to be Wrestling With Shadows. Bret stomps a mud hole on Austin in the corner and the crowd is deafening. Austin fights back and almost gets booed out of the building. Shamrock and Pillman get in and the crowd cheers every time a new Hart member debuts in the ring. Pillman with a pendulum backbreaker. Shamrock hits a belly to belly and Owen tags in and so does Goldust. Plenty of negative USA signs in the crowd. Bulldog and Hawk are in next and Daveyboy hits the running powerslam early but GD breaks up the pin. Animal and Bret are back in and this is just warmups to get each guy in the ring. Goldust in with Bret and they go for a test of strength but Bret kicks him then GD gets the tree of woe in the "heels" corner and gets beat stupid. Crowd craps itself in the process. owen in and he hits a missile dropkick on Animal then tries a hurricinrana but gets powerbombed. LOD hit the doom device of destruction and all hell breaks loose. Austin whacks Owen's leg against the ringpost and smacks it with a chair. Owen gets sent to the back to a huge Austin sucks chant. Austin grabs a hold of Pillman who acts like a pus. Bret drags Austin into the corner and does to him what he did to Owen. Bret smacks the knee with a fire extinguisher then slaps on the figure four poster. Hawk busts up the move. Austin gets carried out and were back to 4 on 4. Animal plays "heel" in peril then Bret gets himself in trouble and Shamrock stands there gawking at Pillman who drops him with a clothesline. Bulldog and Shamrock are up next and Bulldog mud hole stomps him in the corner and flips him off to the crowds delight. Bulldog hits a superduperplex on Goldust then Austin hobbles back out. Austin and Bret back in and Bret catches him with a swinging neckbreaker then the Russian leg sweep. It's moves of doom time! Bret with a sleeper that is broken by a jawbreaker. Bret goes to the sharpshooter and Hawk breaks it up. Austin goes for the move but Owen hobbles down to break it up. Austin ends up outside and fights with the Hart family at ringside and in the commotion Owen gets a rollup for the win. Shamrock attacks Bruce Hart at ringside and the whole place goes nuts. Team USA loses control of the ring and the Harts celebrate. Austin makes a run in with a chair and blasts Neidhart then gets pummeled by the Hart family and is cuffed and taken out to close the show. Super hot main event.
