Rhea Ripley has all of the tools to be the future face of women's wrestling. The explosive nature of this match lived up to the In Your House show title, as it delivered in the way that so many classics before it managed to. Flair and Ripley have a compelling dynamic on their own, but Shirai fighting to prove that it is she, not them, who is the best in the world was a captivating story. The dive near the end remains one of the craziest spots in NXT history. 4 stars, 8 out of 10. A hell of a match!"

I'm not saying it's bad, just disappointing. I thought the match lacked intensity, was pretty slow, and there was almost nothing of note. I say "almost" because Io Shirai's spot towards the end of the match was cool, and she clearly deserved that title that Charlotte did not. [**1/2]"

The finish was good with Io landing the moonsault on Rhea while Charlotte had Rhea locked in the figure 8. My only complaint was that it failed to make Io look strong. Still a wonderful winner booking choice. I liked the aerial offense of Shirai. Very good match . **** . It was however missing the takeover main event feel and the quality according to takeover main events was lower."

While Charlotte was clearly a step behind regarding the in-ring action compared to the other two, it was never enough to take you out of the match. This whole match was put together in a way to make Io Shirai look like an absolute star and it succeeded on that front. Rhea looked strong throughout but risks losing momentum given the finish. A fun match though, and worth a watch. 4 stars."

It's true, not every move was crisp, but there's an overabundance of incredibly crisp moves these days, sometimes I prefer it to look rougher and a bit more authentic. All three women ruled here and showed they are among the best wrestlers in all of WWE. Popped particularly for the use of the set, and I was very happy with the winner."

Io's quite possibly the best women's wrestler in the world while Rhea is a star. The finish was a bit off but still a memorable mainevent."

[5.0] "An okay main event. It never seemed to have much of a flow, an issue that can plague triple threats, as they paired off for exchanges. The brawling between Charlotte and Ripley was the only time the intensity really seemed to pick up and then led to a memorable spot from Shirai. Some of the work was awkward and the finish was clever but looked botched. Beyond the star power of the 3 involved (Charlotte was an excellent heel throughout) I don't think there was much that stood out here. This isn't a Takeover main event that will be revisited that often."

I jumped with joy when Io won. She deserves to be the NXT women's Champion. Charlotte despite not winning and losing to Bayley a few weeks ago maintained a dominant image as she clawed through both Io and Rhea despite not winning. The WWE Women's division is on fire. And this was one of the best WWE match i saw this year and one of the best womens match I have ever seen. It was even better than Riho Vs Rose at AEW. ****1/4."

The whole thing just felt clunky w/ its flow, and the action just wasn't very compelling at any point. I guess I could say that there were a few pretty nice moments here & there if I wanted to be nice, but in reality I am struggling to name anything I liked about this, other than that outcome."

[7.0] "Before Shirai decided to take some risks and put some spectacular into a main event title match, this was flopping big time. Charlotte had no rhythm, this sort of match doesn't suit her wrestling style at all as she is unable to link her moves together. Shirai stayed out of the way for large parts and was rather anonymous until the closing stages. Ripley was very poor. Her striking is so unconvincing and in this sort of match, where strikes are going to make up the bulk, she looked amateurish at best. This is nothing new on her part and has been obvious since her debut, but should be covered up, not highlighted. For me this ruined most of the match. Shirai saved the contest and added some respectability to the whole show with her spectacular risk taking. The finish was another flop and a poor end, no wrestling logic again as Charlotte could easily reach Shirai to stop the pin. Somehow despite the many flaws the match still flowed nicely and was exciting and unpredicatable and I'm sure NXT fanboys will have pleasured themselves numb seeing Shirai finally holding that belt."

Ripley was aggressive as she needed to be. The brawl between Flair/Ripley was great. Shirai added a lot to it with her usual signature moves. Match flew smoothly from the start to the finish. With the noise from other chosen audience. The main event overall was a huge thumb up. Wayyyyy better than any main events involving Ciampa/Gargano/Cole."

[6.0] "A fun match between three excellent performers that was let down by a poor finish, and arguably never reached the full intensity that it could have. The opening worked well enough, with Charlotte ducking out of the fight so she can pick her moments to attack from the sidelines, although it's nothing we haven't seen before in a triple threat. At times, the action falls into that other familiar triple threat habit of having one person frequently taken out so only two competitors need to be in the ring at a time. That being said, all three women are excellent athletes so it was never dull. The match really started to build towards the end with Io's dive off the top of the set, and Charlotte's vicious Tree Of Woe kick to Rhea. The finish, unfortunately, definitely soured me on this match - this is at least the fourth time in the past year we have watched Charlotte lose a multi-person match due to a top rope move while she's applying the Figure Eight. It's getting stale and very unimaginative, especially for a large-scale main event to be ending the same as several matches from Raw. Io's moonsault was below the usual standard she hits it with, and having Rhea take the pin is also a frustrating factor - the last few months have deeply damaged Rhea's aura, and Io not winning the belt by pinning the champion is an inauspicious beginning to her reign."

[6.0] "Match was fine, a perfectly serviceable mainevent to cap-off what was, in my opinion, an otherwise mediocre show. The manufactured "fan" reaction kind of annoyed me, but it is what it is in this empty arena era of pro-wrestling. I felt that the match lacked any kind of grander direction or flow, relying heavily on spectacular sequencing and exciting spots until one of the competitors scored a three-count; little drama in my perception. While Shirai's win did resonate with me as a longtime fan of her work, it makes little sense based on recent booking. Criticisms aside though, this was a decently entertaining watch. ***¼"

That looked bad, and must have hurt even worse. Otherwise this was probably the MOTN, getting a strong competition from Balor/Priest."

With the double spear as well, there were only 4 spots involving all four women that I recall. With a few more creative spots I'd have given this match a higher rating. Still a pretty good match, just not in the 4 star range for me. *** 1/2."

[9.0] "A great match with some real fun action. It got sloppy at times, especially between Charlotte and Rhea, but the stiff strikes helped add intensity as well. I do think the one negative to the match was Charlotte and her no selling a fair amount of damage and offense. However, they kept the action moving with a lot of great spots and Io getting the win was real nice. Hard disagree though on "one of the best women's matches ever" ****1/4"

The finish, combined with the closing moment and the overall quality of the match is enough for me to give it an 8/10. A nine is a bit much, but that's okay."
