The way Archer dominanted Dustin really helped with Archer's presentation as a monster and might have helped even more if Archer beat Cody. 8/10"

The storytelling also couldn't be any better, with the old vet going against a raging monster. Very good stuff, and would've paid off even better if Lance went on to win at Double or Nothing. [***3/4]"

Archer laid into Dustin impressively, and the blood helped increase the danger further. The finish was my favorite part, Cody kept his brother in the match only to see him get his brains pounded into the mat. Archer didn't even need his finishing move to end the match, you gotta appreciated that."

There was no flippy shit, hardly any technical holds or even speed, but somehow it was impossible to take eyes of this match. Archer is a beast and worked Dustin over so convincingly. I had a feeling Dustin would bleed and was delighted when he did, contests like this need blood to enforce the brutality of the monster heel. Dustin's limitations are now so obvious but he worked off the counter well, before succumbing to savage combination after savage combination from Archer. This ending was oh so clever, but would not have worked if not for the horrific way Archer put Dustin out. This was fun and really reminded me of the glory days of the early 90s."

Eventually, when Dustin was able to mount some offense it got pretty great. The ending minutes perfectly concluded the match and story. The head bashing into the turnbuckle and then smash on the canvas was brutal and sold Lance like death. As good as this could be and I felt got everyone and every story over ***3/4"

[4.0] "Archer is a dominant monster of a man & Dustin is an older babyface looking to show that the veteran still has a few tricks up his sleeve to go and get that victory. On paper, that dynamic sounds SO GOOD, and I was genuinely excited to see how the match went, and while by the end it was solid, I was disappointed in it. I really wanted to LOVE it, but the reality is that it just wasn't that interesting. Was it bad? No, not even close, but it also wasn't anything to write home about, really. Archer wasn't at his most compelling form, doing slow, methodical work on top for most of the match, and I really didn't care for most of Dustin's comebacks either. It felt like they were trying to go for the narrative of Archer being a real vicious monster, but most of his work left me cold, as it felt like generic TV-heelwork rather than the Mark Henry 2011 hype he was given by the commentary. Even the blood didn't really add anything either, at least not until the last few minutes w/ Archer exposing that turnbuckle & smashing Dustin's face. Everything after that ruled -- looooved the drama increasing when QT, Cody & Arn came out, but that's only a few minutes of a 20-something minute match."

Archer looked like a beast and beating such an established name was key to his development and his presentation and an undeniable threat that belong sin the upper midcard/ main event scene."
