[8.0] "A great NXT return match for Finn Bálor. While this wasn't the originally planned match for the show, I'm very glad we were able to get this match one way or another. These two played well off of each other to put on a very good back-and-forth match. Riddle is always good as a face, and Bálor will just about always be better as a heel. This was the beginning of Bálor's 2021 NXT run, which has to be one of my favorite runs of his career and definitely his best run in WWE/NXT."
[8.0] "Really showed how good Heel Devitt can be after so long of seeing him gone, Matt Riddle looked like a fucking beast too, this is the type of stuff that makes professional wrestling."

I think that this match wasn't as fast-paced as I expected and that it never really reached THAT level of intensity that lots of other NXT matches reached. But still a good match, it has good moves and a not excessive lenght"
[9.0] "Outstanding match. Riddle has been such a great wrestler since his arrival to NxT (and before that too), and Balor made a spectacular aparition here. Their moves were pretty exciting and so well combined, that bring to me mind classical matches from another wrestlers. Good match. [****1/4]"
[8.0] "As a fan of finn, I am quite satisfied with the match. I feel that most people underestimated the match. Although he didn't have all kinds of move like cole versus Johnny, there were also many bright spots, worth 4. 25."
[7.0] "Not as good as it could have been with these two beasts but still a solid hard-hitting affair in which both were able to shine and show what they could do. A very technical match with a lot of strikes and brutality, and it was really cool to watch. At no time did I get bored, the crowd was really involved in the match but the only problem was that Bálor was much too cheered for me to take him as a serious heel, and Riddle didn't get the big reactions he was expecting. But the match itself is a lot of fun, which will not be to everyone's taste but that I enjoyed it quite a lot. (***½)"
[7.0] "An sich kommm das Match zwar etwas behäbig, dann aber doch intensiv in Fahrt, bevor, motiviert durch unterschiedliche attacken Riddles, der gute Finn Balor beginnt, eine Beinverletzung halbherzig zu sellen. Daraus entwickelt sich dann eine bemühte, aber irgendwie auch wenig zielführend dargebotene Finishing-Sequenz des Ober-Bro, die am Ende dazu führt, dass der Ire aus den Hauptshows den Sieg doch noch abgreifen kann. Riddle wartet somit weiter auf seinen Breakout-Erfolg. Phasenweise durchaus ansehnlich, dann nimmt sich das Match aber auch an einigen Stellen selbst nicht so richtig ernst. Aufgerundet auf sieben Punkte."
[8.0] "Tbh, Balor's early domination wasn't much exciting but once Riddle started kicking ass, it became real good. Riddle always brought the energy to the match, this was no difference. Balor then performed better selling the small ankle lock from Riddle. They worked smartly and built the near falls well. The finish was a bit sudden but at least it didn't make the match overstayed welcome. Very good by the end."
[8.0] "Plausible Rollenverteilung, die dem Match gut tut. Riddle tritt recht dominant auf und zwingt Balor immer wieder, smarte Auswege zu suchen. [6.0] "I felt like this match never hit the next level. At this point, Riddle is kind of a disappointment to me. His matches never deliver. This one was slow and too methodic, but not in a good way. Balor also felt underwhelming in this environment."
[8.0] "Das Match hier war ein interessanter Hybrid, da es einerseits natürlich workratebasiert war, ähnlich wie das Match davor und von Moves und besonders in der Schlussphase auch von der Aktionsdichte lebte, obwohl es in diesem Bereich nicht so stark war wie das Match zuvor. Dafür hatte es aber eine größere Storykomponente mit dem Anklework gegen Balor, der am Ende aber dennoch gewinnt. In Anbetracht dessen war es dann insgesamt in meinen Augen auf dem gleichen Niveau wie der Threeway und daher 8 Punkte wert."
[7.0] "On paper this is a dream match and these high expectations were probably too difficult to live up to. The start was slow and middle lacking pressure from either man. The whole contest was soured by Riddle's refusal to sell, which is usually overlooked because of the non stop action of his bouts. However, tonight in a more methodical contest he let himself and his opponent down. Balor ended well, but both men are capable of so much better. Still lots of interesting moves on display and room left for them to go again in front of a NXT crowd in Florida."
[8.0] "This was a very refreshing match. Great to see Finn back in NXT and it helped create an "Old NXT vs New NXT" feel. I loved the exchanges in the beginning and some of the stiffer parts. Good showing for both men. (****)"
[8.0] "Great match. Riddle is so consistent with his performance. Finn seem a bit ou of form early but it got better as the match rage on. Finn winning was the right decision as he can now loose to Johnny Gargano. ****"
[9.0] "In my opinion it was the absolute show-stealer. Near-perfect pacing, except for very little passages. Definitely one of the less NXT-ish matches and it felt very refreshing to see Balor in his game again. The finish sequence was great. Due to the rather forced constellation of this match, the story-telling was already limited. Maybe not a master-piece, but a great comeback for the real Rock 'n roller."

Erst die Dominanzphase des erfahreneren Balor, dann die Returnphase des grüneren Riddle, die Finn das Bein gut gehandicaped hat und schließlich eine schöne Schlussphase, bei der beide absolut ebenbürtig und gleichermaßen cm-nah am Sieg dran waren. Cool dass Balor jetzt den Reversed Bloody Sunday als Vorbereiter nutzt, um danach mit dem richtigen zu gewinnen (****1/4)."

[7.0] "This was a fun match. I liked the way these two worked with each other really well. Balor kept the same offence mostly but there was a much needed edge and driven focus behind everything. Balor didn? t even need to cheat, despite being a heel, but he went a more nuanced approach. Riddle catching the Pele kick was awesome. Riddle pulled off some great moves but sold well too. I wish they didn? t drop the leg story they were going for though. ***1/2"

Matt Riddle's focus on Balor's leg was the cherry on the cake of the match, it really brought something more to it, especially the Coup de Grace/Bromission part, that was absolutely great and impressive.
