To be honest, I was sincerely disappointed on the first day of the league when I found out that Zayne's partner was Taguchi, but this match changed my opinion of him. I think it was more exciting than the two semi-final and main event matches that followed."

[8.0] "This match was so fun for so little reasons. The comedy was mostly fun but the point here was the wrestling which was good itself and featured some nice false finishes in the second half. One of the biggest surprises of the League up to this point. ****"

[8.0] "Watching Taguchi step up to the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and hold his own even for a short while was just fascinating - it also inspired Zayne to bring his best and made the crowd pay full attention, which made this a really fun tournament match. It could've been the Main Event, but imo the fact that it was lower on the card only got the crowd more involved. ***3/4"
