[6.0] "This was pretty long and almost entirely based around ground-based grappling, so I was a bit bored at times but still mostly appreciated the work. Thatcher's grappling was all really good and realistic, with him showing a lot of aggression whenever he got into a dominant position. His offence outside of that wasn't the best, as I've often found, but he was still mostly good. Walter was the opposite, as he wasn't super interesting when working his holds, and he looked far too weak when selling the holds of Irie and Ishikawa, but he looked great whenever he brought out his strikes and power moves. This was one of those lucky matches where his famed offence actually held up to its reputation, which is why it was a shame that he didn't get to show it off as much. Ishikawa got a lot of time to show off his grappling, and I guess I was expected to really appreciate and respect his work because of his reputation as an ex-shoot-wrestler, but I honestly thought he looked quite sloppy at moments, and his holds didn't look as painful as Thatcher's or even Irie's. That's probably unfair, given that Ishikawa is far older, but yeah, I have no nostalgia for him and I simply don't think he looked great, though obviously he was not at all bad either. Irie was a nice mix of everything, as he showed decent power and heart while also having some heavy, painful-looking holds. The match briefly picked up at the end, but prior to that it was just long grappling exchanges without much development. Fine stuff, but nothing I'd watch again. ***"

[7.0] "4 guys who can go doing their thing for 24 minutes in a garage. Obviously getting to see Ishikawa in a lengthy match in 2019 is great, but the main reason I liked this is that everyone was pretty vicious. Ishikawa clogged Thatcher in the jaw during their first exchange, no real friendy grappling, lots of punches are thrown on the ground, Ringkampf would work over their opponents with nasty stomps and knees etc. Walter seems to understand how to not get stale as he hitting these Tenryu punts and busted out an awesome uranage. I haven't seen Irie in a while but his matwork was fun and he had these cool swinging Vader Hammers. Ishikawa was pretty much the star of the show always doing something interesting and not only grappling it out but also acting really smart. For example, he would get mount and work over Walters kidneys with glee only to get raddled by that big bear paw like austrian hand. This didn't build to something great but the action was very good throughout and there were a few highlights and smooth Ishikawa submissions to keep you happy."

[9.0] "Pretty sure I wrote my review about this already. Anyway, I'll start again. This is an a very good match. Not so much a tag match, as there was no real tag wrestling as such as there it was singles interactions in a tag setting. WALTER vs Irie and Ishikawa vs Thatcher. The portions of either side of the match were really good, Ishikawa/Thatcher especially. It says alot that WALTER was the weakest of the match, and I don't think that's a bad thing at all. Everyone had an excellently strong performance throughout and the layout of the match worked so well in the close, intimate setting. ****1/4"

[6.0] "Decent combination of grappling and strong style, but the entire match never seemed to move out of 2nd gear. It was solid throughout but it never hit the sort of peak you'd expect from a great match. It didn't bring anything to make it truly memorable or distinguishable."

[8.0] "The grappling between Thatcher & Ishikawa is definitely the highlight of the match for me; great teaser for the singles match that happened a few days later & overall just great, great stuff. Thatcher puts all of Ishikawa's holds over big time with his fantastic facial expressions, and Ishikawa of course looks like a killer just schooling both Thatcher & WALTER on the mat. And just when I was thinking that Irie had been left kind of in the background of the match, out he comes & does some real compelling work on the mat against the Ringkampf lads. A really good match; maybe a bit too lengthy, but they filled like 99% of it with some real good wrestling. ***1/2"

[10.0] "So there I was a few days ago thinking Yuji Nagata was the only one who I thought could be 50 years old and still put on a MOTYC, and then I watched this match. Yuki FUCKING Ishikawa man. This dude took Ringkampf to fucking SCHOOL with his grappling and technical skills. Irie was such a god damn beast here too. He didn't let himself get out-wrestled or out-brawled and really gave it his all until the end. It's hard to say anything else 16 Carat weekend beats this match, ****3/4."
