[6.0] "This should not have main evented. Yeah sure it's roman and cody and there were 2 returns (one led to nothing lmao) but the opener had the better match and story. I think it's decent for what it is but eh."

[8.0] "Very fun match. Should this have main evented? Probably not but I understand why it did considering who was in this match plus when you factor in who did the promo for the event when it was announced, plus who was in the match itself (Cody and Roman, still wish Cody defended his belt here instead tho). From the mania like entrances from Cody and Roman trying to one up each other, to how electric the crowd was for both guys, especially Roman since it was his first match wrestling since wrestlemania 40. They go a little long with the heat segments to build to the dueling hot tags for both Cody and Roman but the crowds stayed engaged throughout this whole ordeal. This was incredibly heated. Solo and Jacob worked well as a team here. The Cody Roman dynamic is always a sight to behold considering the natural chemistry they have with one another. The Cody Jacob minutes were extremely fun. Loved the callback to how Jacob made his debut in the WWE when he took out Cody, Randy, and Kevin. Not to mention, he took out Cody with a splash onto the announce table, and Cody repaid the favour here by getting his lick back. The closing stretch was quite neat too when Jimmy made his return who helped play a part in how Roman wins the match. Simple tag team wrestling. After months of terrorizing smackdown for months post mania, that iteration of the bloodline at the time finally got what was coming to them. Anticipation and payoff at its finest. ***3/4"

However, the part with Cody fighting Fatu on the floor and Cody putting him through a table was great, which led to the spot where Jimmy came back to help Reigns win. I'm so glad Jimmy Uso got a huge ovation like that because it's very well deserved for a guy who's an excellent wrestler and is maybe forgotten a bit in this story. The fan reaction for Jimmy was awesome and I'm happy he got that moment. Anyway, I expected a Cody & Roman win, so the result didn't surprise me much. ***1/4"

Jacob Fatu is a beast and I loved how they kept him strong as it took everything from the WWE champion to keep him down. Also that Roman Reigns babyface hot tag was amazing. Jimmy Uso getting the biggest pop of the night was not on my bingo card but his and Roman's hug was a nice moment. Also a bit too long IMO."

[6.0] "It's a Bloodline tag main event. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. It was interesting to see Roman readjusting to being a babyface again when he was such a great heel for so many years. It was great when he worked Jacob, but trying to put Solo in his shoes is such a mismatch man. God bless Cody because he was trying his best even though he was so clearly an afterthought in this match, right down to having to come out before Roman did. But he functions best working from under and he did his job amazingly of drawing heat for Roman's hot tag. Jimmy return and reunion with Roman was nice, but the match itself isn't going to be what people care about, but The Rock is back. He didn't really give any hints on his immediate direction, but it seems he is going to be a key player again going into Mania season."

[7.0] "As usual with a Bloodline tag match, things take a little bit of time to really shift into a higher gear, but when it does, it gets pretty good, and even really good. Such is the case with this match, where the heels dominate for a bit of time until the hot tag where suddenly the momentum shifts and the crowd gets louder. Its a tried and true method that seems to work every single time, although it can drag a little. Either way, I think that the spots with Cody jumping off the post onto Jacob, and the Moonsault-Uso Splash wombo combo were great, A good Jimmy Uso return setup which further builds the storyline itself. And the best and funniest part of it all, The Rock coming back at the end for only 2 minutes at the end, staring down Cody & Roman, winning the aura off and then just dipping after a 1, 2, 3 signal. Regardless, a good match with an engaged crowd. ***1/2."

Love watching Jacob wrestle, he's an absolute beast, clearly he should have been considered for the new tribal chief role, not Solo who is boring. Jimmy Uso's return was awesome and the highlight of the match, his embrace with Roman was Brilliant, then the rare appearance from The Rock was interesting."

If The Rock didn't show up, I think it would have had a better chance of opening the show. Speaking of which, I felt like The Rock's return was kind of dumb. Not only did he just stare at everyone and not do anything, but, at the time of this writing (nearly two months after the match actually happened) he still has not showed up or even said anything since."

And, as a grown man, I'll admit I teared up a little when Roman and Jimmy hugged. Roman and Jimmy helping Cody at the end was great, too. And then The Rock returned. And did absolutely nothing."

The only reason they had the main event was because The Rock came out to close the show which didn't paid off at all and hasn't been mentioned since. The Jimmy return was cool but I feel like they should've done it on SmackDown so Jimmy could replace Cody and Cody could've defended the title on this show. Overall was not to happy about this match too much."

[6.0] "This match strongly lives on the one word I hate nowadays: AURA. Take that away from the match and this would've been so damn boring. One, if not the main attraction of this match was the teaming-up of Roman and Cody. How they would coexist and how they would make their relation as tag partners to take out the Bloodline work. There was no psychology behind that in the match at all, just a little bit when the bell rang and they were struggling to decide who was going to start the match. Nothing else, not any signs of tensions, no miscommunications, nothing. It was like they were two babyfaces that are teaming on a random SmackDown main event. In fact that's what summarises this match for me: a roided version of a Teddy Long-made tag team match. I didn't like how Cody felt so secondary in this match. The guy is literally the World Champion, the guy that took down the tyrannical reign of Roman and here he looked like an afterthought. His best moment, and actually the best moment in the whole match along with Jimmy's return was him saluting Roman before launching himself into Jacob Fatu (he was done really dirty by not being allowed to go full beast mode). I have the same feeling with this match I had with the Bálor vs Priest match, but on a much bigger scale. They went too superfitial and didn't capitalize on the whole potential they had. They just went with the usual Bloodline big match scheme of wrestling basic at the pace of a snail to build some epicness that finally happens when Roman gets the hot tag, but even what happened after that is nothing impressive. The post-match angle was far better than the match was, Jimmy hugging Roman while Michael Cole perfectly justified that act after the betrayals and the contempt of the past, "Blood runs ticker", then Roman struggling to save Cody from the Bloodline assault to finally agreeing with Jimmy to save him (it will be always difficult for me to buy the idea of a guy that was a heel not long ago is a good nice guy all of a sudden just because he turned face). That was the kind of tension and psychology I mentioned before this match lacked. And then, the moment that truly made this match the main event and not the Hell In A Cell like it should've been, The Rock's surprising appearance. Just judging by what happened here, it was lame AF. Just Rock appearing and doing a 3 count. The good and interesting parts happened on social media, with some fan capturing Solo saying that he was part of the plan and The Rock's promo, also Kevin Owens turning on Cody, really creative. The worse part is that they haven't mentioned that since then, so why not waiting for Crown Jewel to go for that and leave Punk and Drew war for the spot they deserved after carrying the whole company on their backs the whole year? Pure WWE conformism attacking again. Allowing the guys to go further with the in-ring work and developing an actual psychology and storytelling within Cody and Roman's team would've made this match something great, even legendary (*** 1/4)"

The amount of time it took for Roman and Cody to get their asses in the ring was insane, and with so much downtime in the match, wondering who'll tag when, it just brought down what was otherwise a pretty decent match. Punk and Drew still should've been the main event, though."

"Similar to the WrestleMania tag match of Cody and Seth vs Rock and Roman, it was a very solid bout, but was absolutely secondary to the story. How would Roman and Cody coexist? You knew there would be outside interference, but would it only come from the new Bloodline or would Kevin Owens, Randy Orton or someone else come to the aid of Roman or Cody? Jacob Fatu once again steals the show, but all four men brought main event level work. Well worth watching."

This was still good , Solo and Fatu has good double team maneuvers, it was cool seeing solo fight roman, Fatu is a beast and he is going to have a. Bright future. Cody was good . The best thing here and my favorite was Jimmy's return , I almost cried tears of joy it was done perfectly and was something I absolutely loved , the superkicks to Tama ans tonga felt good , and the hug to roman was emotional and wholesome. Welcome back Jimmy I'm so happy and excited he's back , oh and the rocks also back that's cool I guess."

Jimmy returning, setting things up for War Games, was a great touch. And just when we thought the show was over, BAM "IF YOU SMELLLLLLL". What a perfect way to end the night. Cannot wait to see how this story progresses."

[6.0] "That was a decent match to close the show, as I expected: Jacob is a beast in the ring, Cody and Roman are fine, and Solo is the worst wrestler to get a big push in WWE since Jinder Mahal winning the WWE Championship. The first half of the match was basically Cody being beated by Solo and Jacob (again, as expected); then Roman came in for a huge pop. It was really cool the way Cody took Jacob and himself from the match, allowing Roman and Solo to be 1x1... except for the fact that the whole Bloodline gang showed up literally 1 minute later... and that is where I kinda stop caring; of the 5 matches in this PPV, 4 had some kind of interference. As I stated in the beginning, it was a decent match, which is likely what they intended to do. (***1/4)."

This is the main event of a PLE, there's no way this should be this weak. Okay so Jimmy came back, that's a real important beat to Roman's story, but this match didn't do anything to earn that beat. Cody shouldn't be anywhere near this story any more, why is he here instead of defending his belt? He took away from this match showboating and playing up to the crowd, and none of this lived up to the epic story they set it up as."

Jimmy Uso's return was timely But Tama and Loa's involvement was boring and repetitive And also the repetitive story of this match made it more boring"

[6.0] "This match was completely ok. It was cool to see the two biggest faces of the company in the last decade come together in a tag match where they are forced to coexist, but the actual in-ring work was slow, and it felt like they took way too long building up to Reigns offense, with Solo getting a lot of offense that felt like it wasn't good heat, but heat based on the fact we were watching the worst worker in the match get the most offense. The four men work well together, but it just put Solo in a place where his weaknesses began to glare BAD comparing him next to a guy like Jacob Fatu. For example, there was a spot where Solo hit one of his little running turnbuckle hip smashes, and it looked fine. But then Jacob does the same move... and it just FEELS different. The energy from Fatu makes Solo look like a bodyguard. They somehow need to turn the clock back for Solo to his NXT days and his early Bloodline days, cause now he just feels... out of place?"

[5.0] "This match was really just kinda boring. There were some good moments here and there and the team of Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns certainly makes a lot of sense to be in a main event spot, but this was at best a Smackdown main event quality match. The faux Bloodline just isn't there in terms of starpower, so it always makes these matches feel kinda one-sided. It really is a shame that this main-evented over the fantastic opener though, probably due to the Rock making a 5 second appearance at the end more than anything else."

[4.0] "I don't really watch WWE but I watch the big shows and I do follow up on what happens. In my head, one of the advantages of Cody winning was that you longer have to sit through a "Bloodline Style" match. A match where it's just listless heat until whatever spot or interference happens. Cody and Roman teaming up is an interesting idea but doesn't work in a match without stakes/drama worked like a Smackdown main event. The idea of watching a match and just waiting for whatever interference spot happening in the end has been beaten to death and proven to be ineffective and just plain BORING. I'd rather see this match with the chaotic "hyena" nature of the new bloodline"

[5.0] "After the horrible MITB 6 man tag a few months earlier, I wasnt really in any mood to see another one of these SUPER IMPORTANT BLOODLINE TAG MATCH MAIN EVENT RAAAAAAAA matches, especially considering theyve gotten incredibly stale. This match had potential though, but it needed a stipulation. Again, these guys were killing each other every week. Just make it a tornado tag team match or a street fight, because look at how good Tonga and Sikoa vs Orton and Owens at Backlash earlier this year was. then you can have all your chaotic spots and returns and people coming out to help, and that wouldve made for a fun and entertaining (but still undeserving, because punk/mcintyre happened) main event. But no, we just got a boring and slow smackdown-grade tag match that made every party involved look weak as hell. the match also backed itself into a corner by consisting of 4 men who all shouldnt be pinned by each other. They went with Roman pinning solo, a safe and predictable outcome that clearly tried to play it safe, but also extinguished solo as an actual threat after WWE had tried to build him up as one. Now, this may age poorly. Maybe solo ends up being some facade tribal chief because tHe RoCk wAs tHe ReAl TrIbaL chIEF aLL aLoNg! but i still wont bump it up because it just wasnt good. also, codys entrance was botched horribly. who thought it was a good idea to have the university of arkansas play codys theme in his hometown of georgia?"

High quality stuff from all men involved."

[7.0] "Good match, even if stretched thin, as is tradition. The crowd is with this though, exploding for Reigns' eventual comeback and the brief shootout that follows. For the most part, it's a house show main event with WrestleMania main event packaging and production, but the novelty of Reigns' return is enough to bring those two things closer together. The work is pretty good also, even if somewhat frustrating. Fatu's noticeably reined in usage in these matches is the obvious example, but it isn't a particularly flattering presentation for Sikoa either. Ideally, they'd be given a little more room to be dynamic on offence, even if that'd reveal itself in comically contrasting fashion. As is, more of the same and yet, this formula works well enough for me that warts and all, I still enjoyed the match. ***1/4"

[7.0] "Despite the circumstances behind why this is main eventing, the match turned out to be all right in the end. I can definitely understand why people did not like this, as Romans Bloodline Tag matches have an agenda, and follow a formula. Personally, I enjoy this formula. It elevates the most important aspect of the theatre of wrestling. Its story. You will not find a better story in professional wrestlings history, than that of The Bloodlines. Even with the story being elevated due to its build, the match itself is actually enjoyable. It takes quite a few minutes to get to its zenith, but it exceeds at the very atavistic and somewhat boring narrative of CAN THEY COEXIST? . Jacob Fatu is a star, and the sooner he can get away from Solo, the better he will be. Jimmy returning was great, and I loved the callbacks with Roman near the end as well. The Rock coming out is cool and all, but it is incredibly frustrating that Punk and Drew did not main event after having by far the best feud in the company this year, and arguably the last few years. Triple H is by no means a bad booker, but he makes so many boneheaded decisions that can be easily avoided or misconstrued so many times. He literally just came out, reminded Cody he pinned him at Wrestlemania, and left. Hes probably not even going to come back until the first epsiode of Raw on Netflix in January, and be like THIS IS WHY I SHOWED UP AT BAD BLOOD. I just hope they actually incorporate this into the storyline, instead of using The Rock being in Atlanta for a weekend, as an excuse to show up for a cheap pop. ***3/4"

From a wrestling standpoint, we got a very formulaic face vs heel tag match with all the hot tags and typical heel actions. It was slightly elevated by Roman's fantastic facial expressions and Cody sacrificing himself to take out Jacob was a cool spot. What elevates this match from a 5 to a 7 for me is the return of Jimmy Uso. Many might disagree with me being so hyped about it but guess what, opinions differ and as a huge OG Bloodline fan, this return made me so happy. It was very well executed and worked perfectly. I am not including it in this rating, but the post-match stuff was well executed too. Seeing how Roman has changed, with Jimmy advising him to help Cody and him actually listening is cool sublime character development which has always been a strong suit of the Bloodline story. Rocky's return creates some interesting options and I am interested to see where this is heading."

The spots were great yes but the technical wrestling is exactly what you expect it to be. Cody takes a beating and makes a comeback, Roman looks to be dominated but goes he usually out of no where superman punches and spears. Jacob no sells shots to the head and Solo, well Solo is Solo. This match has great returns, star power, and spots but because the technical portion left a bit more to be desired, it is received worse by me."

It's nice seeing Reigns back in the ring and the story told of him and Cody working together was a nice little tale to unwind during the match but man I'm getting tired of every Reigns match being the same thing where it's solid uneventful offense for 15-20 minutes then a few minutes of wild stuff, then a random Ucey Boi showing up to screw someone over. The Rock intrigues me as to what's next there, but this is clearly building towards A: Reigns vs Rock at Mania, and B: Cody, Reigns, and the Usos vs Solo, GoD, and Fatu at WarGames, which that'll be...something?"

Jimmy Uso's return was genuinely heartwarming. Yet, it was nowhere close to the level of the HIAC match. Bad decision on WWE's part. The Rock walked out for five seconds with nothing of note happening. And, this was one of Solo's worst performances in recent memory. It wasn't overwhelming great, but the whole reason was to move the Bloodline storyline forward towards Survivor Series and potential War Games. Jimmy Uso returning in favor of Roman was good, needed and the correct call... still think the Bloodline needed to win this match. They've lost pretty much every time and don't seem "strong" or feared at all... the match itself wasn't anything to write home about, but it did it's job. Nothing too special. No great spots or memorable moments... then afterwards The Rock returning was good too. Helps move everything along to The Rock's Bloodline/family versus Roman's Bloodline/family."

While it did do that, I don't think the story allowed to be invested in the slow portion, and the ending flash wasn't cool enough to justify the delay. That's not to say that it was bad, but it definitely wasn't PPV main event worthy. Props to Jacob though, for fitting right in the main event scene so quickly"
