[3.0] "The match quality on this show wasn't great and the antics were even worse with the lame attempts at shoot promos and the CM Punk footage that completely backfired. I want AEW to succeed, but the style of wrestling they present along with the utter nonsense on the side isn't doing it for me."

[7.0] "Great matches, good promo work, and a fun build to the 4th FTR young bucks feud. With how everyone has been talking about this show I feel like we were watching 2 completely different products. The part everyone is talking about was some true blue attitude era type shit in all of the best ways. Copeland v Penta was very good and it was cool to see adam just do lucha shit. Mariah May v Anna Jay was alright and I would've liked for it to be longer but for what it was it did basically everything u'd need it to. Joe v Dustin was top tier and genuinely had me believe that dustin was going to win the title on multiple occasions. Hope they use dustin more as every time he's had a title shot the match has been great. The promo work on this show was dinger after dinger, FTRs promo will probably go down as a all timer in there careers and ospreys shot back at you know who was fun. The main thing holding this show back was jericho being on my television screen and I do not understand the logic of getting heat for the young bucks right after airing the all out footage. Also this show has ruined wrestling twitter probably until dynasty lol."

[9.0] "A lot of people focusing on one thing in a 2 hour show that they didn't like and completely disregarding the efforts and talent involved in the other hour and 55 mins. Cope and Penta had a great match that I didn't expect to ever see, Swerve and Joe's story is fantastic and I really enjoyed seeing Swerve come out on top and having Joe's number not once but twice. Ospreay is the best wrestler in the world and can cut an fantastic promo. He's the full package. Mariah May's story is getting more compliicated and I look forward to seeing where it goes, Toni Storm is always entertaining and it still amazes me how great Dustin Rhodes is after 37 years of hard work. I think it was a good entertaining show. I'm happy to have seen the footage, theres no more speculation about it. I think nearly everyone has missed the point and think that behaviour from a top guy, at the start of their 1st "wrestlemania-like" show is acceptable when really, it's unbelievably unprofessional despite the claims of professionalism from Punk. Imagine if Reigns behaved that way backstage? Or if Hogan pull this shit before Wrestlemania 1? I'm not sure releasing it on TV was the best idea but I won't pretend that what I saw in that video was acceptable. TK has learnt a lesson, like Vince did when he ran the Katie Vick angle. Move on."

[7.0] "I was lucky enough to attend live, and as such I nerfed my ratings just a bit. AEW's live atmosphere makes everything feel incredible. Copeland/Penta was the highlight but every match hit for me. It was nice to see Shane Taylor Promotions pick up a victory. I was hoping for a longer Okada match, but it is what it is. I'm glad the main event went on after the bait and switch at the beginning, I'm a big Dustin fan so it was nice to see him shine a bit. I liked all the promo segments, even if I think there were too many. Nothing really to complain about except the damn Ticketmaster fees."

[1.0] "This episode failed professional wrestling. Not only do you are that CM Punk footage that entirely corroborates his Ariel Helwani interview, but it makes Jack look like an asshole, it takes attention away from your world champion, who was in the clip breaking up the fight, you got people talking about Chris Hero more than Mariah May and Anna Jay, WHO WERE WRESTLING ON THE ACTUAL SHOW, THE WRESTLING SHOW, ABOUT WRESTLING. It sucks! It's 2010 WWE RAW, it's 1999 WCW, it's those horrid Dixie Carter-EC3 angles they used to run, it's everything that makes this business less great. Also, that Will Osperay stuff wasn't great, but it does make sense for his character to be kind of obtuse, so I will give that a single point (plus Adam and Penta did work a soft banger, let's not be obtuse, ourselves). It was a stupid promo by Will, but one that was contextually relevant on one of the most misguided shows in professional wrestling history."

[2.0] "Absolute joke of a show that was incredibly entertaining to laugh at. Not only did you centre the enter show around a guy that is in a different company, but he hasn't been here in 8 months. They showed footage, that CM Punk already admitted to, and was 100% correct on, that the Young Bucks weren't even involved in. They tried to spin some dumb angle into this, that also just makes the Young Bucks look even more like goofs, when I didn't know that was possible. The rest of the show wasn't any better, you have the legend Katsuyori Shibata doing some ai generated translator gimmick, which was actually the only entertaining part of the show but he also ate the pin in a team with a 50+ year old and a guy who has had the same gimmick for years and says one sentence. This should open your eyes to what you're doing with your product. Will Ospreay cut a lame "shoot" promo on HHH for some reason, and everyone was assuming HHH was taking shots at him, but if the shoe fits, I guess. Jericho being absolutely insufferable and egocentric when he hasn't had a good match in years at this point. The Young Bucks getting CM Punk chants during their confrontation. A 55 year old getting a title conteder's match. Just what has happened to AEW? P.S. Every single match here fucking sucked. So much for the company that puts on "bangers" every week. Glad the Women's division is the most entertaining thing on AEW now. Good for them."

[7.0] "This was a run of the mill "bad" AEW show. Basically nothing happened after the opening match, the outcomes were predictable, but it was still a fun watch. We opened with a very good match from the Tag Team Tournament between FTR and Top Flight. PAC then continued his return from injury by squashing Encore Moore. Lion Hook took on Shane Taylor Productions to set up Lion Hook vs. Shane Taylor Productions next week. I feel like that feud isn't going anywhere. The House of Black took on the jobber squad of Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydel, and Bryan Keith in a surprisingly enjoyable match. Yuka Sakazaki returns with a good win over Trish Adora. we then get the "Dear God, Why? " Match of the Night as Claudio Castagnoli gets five minutes with the Butcher. It's better than it could have been, but anything else would still have been better. Even another Lion Hook promo. Finally, Alex Abrahantes brings us our Match of the Night, as Penta El Zero Miedo and Komander put on a lucha clinic."

[] "For the 2nd week in a row WWE has really got AEW distracted last week they had Copeland come out to make a "why can't we be friends? " While talking about how great AEW is instead of making a promo against Malaki Black to build more heat for their match, this week they did the attack on Punk, which does work as Young Bucks are known to hate Punk so turning it into a heel promo was actually kind of interesting especially with FTR being such good friends with Punk. The problem is immediately after this Ospreay threw an attack on HHH for marrying Stephanie mcMahon, which was weird as why would you attack a person for loving a person? Sure it is his boss's daughter, but love is love we can't help who we fall for. This was somehow something he had to get off his chest. Even worse Ospreay is supposed to be a face not a heel so the promo with Ospreay attacking someone not in the company yet alone as a face was really bad decision by Ospreay and his persona within AEW right now. AEW needs to get back to focusing on AEW and making their product the best it can be over letting another promotion ruin their show without them even trying to ruin their show."

[9.0] "Not sure why this episode is rating so low? I think theyve now made the conscious decision to move away from the whole shock newcadditions on the raw after mania thing. This was a solid raw, it drew lines under finished storylines and advanced some new ones. The wrestling was good and if promos are your thing there were some belters, including a 45 minute promo to open the show"

[2.0] "This was so damn bad, wow. Of course the whole CM Punk segment is what people are gonna talk about for WEEKS, but yeah, the whole show was bad. TK should have had at least one 5* dream match that he knows when to put on the show sometimes (a Danielson or Ospreay match could have done the job. A single (and bad) women's match, bad women segments (the whole mercedes thing looks a lot like they have no creative for her, how is that possible she's top5 best women wrestler on the damn planet ! ) The Jericho match was an instant 1 for me, no story, Jericho looks so bad, Hook looked uninterested, Shibata looked weaker than usual and Shane Taylor Promotions looked out of place. A whole show without BCC felt long and tbh quite uninteresting, Okada's match was pointless, Copeland looked kinda weaker than usual too ! He deserved a better opponent. And Joe's reign isn't my cup of tea AT ALL... Yeah the whole show was bad. I know Dynasty is about to be one of their best ever but yeah, this was sad."

[9.0] "It's my fifth consecutive week watching this show after coming back as a viewer. Again a very strong show. They have advanced almost all stories for next PPV. I didn't pay much attention to online outrage about All In video. It helped to make jungle boy's return possible so I am all in for it. Great promos, nice timing and great segments really. My only criticism is that Dustin Rhodes, Penta, Argento, shibata, shane taylor promotion had absolutely no business to be on this show. One or two wrestlers are fine but having so many wrestlers on a show who have no business with PPV is what drove me away as a viewer last time.. AEW should try to include only those wrestlers in the matches who have a storyline at PPV. Matches become boring and meaningless otherwise."

[3.0] "The show was deeply disappointing. Little to no actual story progression, and the matches on offer tonight were middle of the road, nothing special kind of matches. Joe and Dustin were the highlights of an otherwise forgettable night. The lowlights were obviously Young Bucks airing the All In footage as it served no purpose except put over a star who is in another company. Ospreay taking a shot at, once again, people who have nothing to do with AEW right now - with a clearly uncomfortable Renee Paquette standing right next to him wasn't needed either. He should have been promoting the match with Danielson at Dynasty. Confusing booking. Also, the booking of Mercedes Mone is laughable. She is not a great promo yet TK keeps insisting on having her talk for minutes on end every week. The promo tonight felt awkward, unnatural, and stiff. Tony, hire a booker, PLEASE!"

[2.0] "Is this worthy of being dubbed the worst Nitro ever in 2000? Honestly not really but I see why people hate this show. Firstly, they made Jeff Jarrett, THE WORLD CHAMPION, lose CLEANLY in two minutes and they made look like a complete joke as well after the match. Then you have Russo appearing to have super human leg strength to avoid tapping out to a Figure Four (as RawIsJericho mentioned, it lasted 70 seconds). And then you have whatever that main event was which still baffles me. And all of this was to build up to The Great American Bash that took place six days later? The only match I liked was Steiner vs Vampiro and I don't know why"

[3.0] "This was not very good to me, This episode just felt off. Even with the shenanigans pulled by Tony, yesterday's show felt off. The first match was ok/good, it went too long and everything else was meh to me."

[6.0] "This was not very good for Dynamite standards. It was far from awful imo, 6/10 is listed as "satisfactory and I think it's the perfect word for it, it did its job as a TV show, but without the obvious thing here it would have been very forgettable. The opener, main-event and May vs Jay were all good matches, and the six-man wasn't too bad but it's a Jericho match so my investment in it immediately dipped. The Mercedes stuff was lame though as it'll still be another month until she finally wrestles. Ospreay's promo was good, the shoot on HHH was probably unnecessary but I thought it was entertaining and it was only like 30 seconds on a promo that did its job of hyping up his match with Danielson very well. As for the footage, showing it didn't serve any purpose imo, but reading some comments and some things on twitter you'd think it was the worst thing to ever happen on a wrestling show. It was stupid to show it, I totally agree with that, and I hope they never do something similar again, but no it won't turn AEW into WCW 2000 as I've read, and no it also won't be the end of AEW. For anyone except the usual tribalists, it'll probably just be another bad angle that we'll laugh about in a few months, like there has been about a gazillion of through the history of pro wrestling."

[8.0] "good episode of dynamite. Samoa Joe vs Dustin Rhodes started things off, but was delayed to the main event becuase Joe was attacked by Swerve. Adam Copeland vs Penta was really good. Will Ospreay cut a good promo. Mariah May vs Anna Jay was decent. The young bucks vs FTR is heating up. Samoa Joe vs Dustin Rhodes was a decent match."

[1.0] "Tony Khan has officially lost the plot. In what world would airing the CM Punk/Jungle Boy altercation enhance an angle or benefit the product in any way, shape or form? All it did was prove that CM Punk was right and gave an accurate account of what happened at All In. Then they follow it up with Ospreay talking about Triple H. Who is Ospreay wrestling at Dynasty, Danielson or Triple H? Renee looked extremely uncomfortable with promo and I don't blame her. Tony Khan needs to step away for a while and let someone book the shows who is actually competent."

[2.0] "It's time for TK to pass the book to someone else. I mean, it's been time for a while but now it's *really* time. All of the All-In stuff was just so petty and bush league. What exactly were they hoping to accomplish with that footage? All they did was prove Punk right. And the meta FTR promo was just... why? Why is Tony Khan so fucking goddamn obsessed with the dirt sheets and social media nonsense? Just book your fucking live-action TEW game and *leave the shit alone*. The Ospreay promo was just as bad, reacting to Triple H (checks notes) repeating something Ospreay said first himself. The tired old "you're just BANGING THE BOSS'S DAUGHTER" chestnut should be made a felony. You're the best wrestler in the world, bruv. You should be above this petty crap. It all just reeks of WCW 2000, and coincidentally Tony "Butts in Seats" Schiavone is here for it again; his reaction after the All In stuff is equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking. As for the rest of the show? Meh? Cope vs Penta was pretty good, while the Lionhook stuff is already boring and uninteresting. I mean does anyone give a shit about Chris Jericho anymore? Also this is Ogogo's first match on AEW in 3 years and they have Shane Taylor be the guy to knock out Shibata with a right hook? Like, y'all, that's a fucking layup. Are you trying to get Ogogo over or not? Okada had an enjoyable squash and his match with PAC will undoubtedly slap. Unfortunately they're now also tied up with this Tony Khan vs CM Punk feud tough. All the women's stuff was back to back to back, which felt awkward. AEW once again falls into their old trope of "here's some random wrestler who has zero exposure on American television, now they're super important because they were a big deal somewhere else and Tony Khan likes them", only this time now there's some HLA. Mercedes Mone is about as interesting as a lecture on 13th-century agrarian economies. I genuinely don't understand how they've dropped the ball on her so hard. And it's still gonna be an entire month before her first match. Main event was a match. Cody finished his story so now Dustin needs to get his shot, except nobody on Earth or any other planet expected him to win and of course he didn't. Swerve vs Joe is progressing nicely and Swerve absolutely needs to win at Dynasty. Hopefully TK makes the right decision. Unfortunately that's not exactly been the norm recently."

[2.0] "Oh my God, that was SO bad... The entire segment with Punk and Perry's tape was used as a ratings bait that completely destroyed the company's credibility. The Young Bucks' entire promo sounded like an excuse from crybabies. The only thing that saved this segment a little was the FTR's part, but even they had to work around the idiocy of what the Young Bucks delivered, so they did the best they could. But even leaving out that whole embarrassing part - almost all of the wrestling on a show that bills itself as "good wrestling matches show" - was boring. Edge tried to show a sub-lucha style that was unusual for him and fought for 20 minutes for the secondary title. Perhaps the most terrible and ridiculous promo segment from Jericho that I have ever seen in my life. Mercedes Mone, who has become the biggest and most expensive woman in wrestling, announced that she wants a secondary women's title that no one cares about... literally the only thing I really liked about this show was the short promo by Will Ospreay, and I don't understand why was he allowed to enter the arena as a random passer-by jogging when he should be their big babyface star."
62211.04.2024

[2.0] "If you take out the footage. The only thing really carrying Dynamite this week. This episode of Dynamite was a whole bunch of nothing. Tony, Punk doesnt work for you anymore. Its time to move on and stop acting like a child. Its hard to believe he devoted tv time for something that happened months ago. Cry me a river TK."
62311.04.2024

[4.0] "This Dynamite was very weird, of course the only thing talked about was the Punk and Perry Wembley tape, a stuff that as I said before, if not made Punk look really bad, they shouldn't show, and it didn't made Punk look bad, so it was a mistake, nobody approved that, even the wrestlers felt uncomfortable, Schiavone face says it all, dumb decision. The Ospreay promo about Triple H was great, because Ospreay is great on the mic, but unfortunately suffered the hate for being right after the All In tape. The show had four matches that weren't bad, but weren't incredibly good as well, very regular, and some other awkward things too happened, a forgettable day in the office."

[0.0] "It's just sad, I'm not angry at this show, I'm just sad because although there was some stuff on this show that was okay, it was overshadowed by the terrible use of backstage footage at all in. If you think they didn't mess up, just watch the Okada segment when fans were chanting CM Punk. The FTR promo was forced garbage just like Adam Copeland's. I feel sad for Swerve who hopefully is about to become AEW champion, but even that will be overshadowed by this nonsense. The worst part about the footage, is they just proved CM Punk right, giving validity to any future statements he makes about the company I love. What an awful defensive decision Tony khan booked. Osperay is also fighting Bryan Danielson in 10 days, a match that I should be looking forward to with weeks of build, there was none of that tonight. Instead another defensive promo, because Will was hurt over HHH's comments. Such a petty episode, the worst episode of Dynamite I've ever witnessed, it felt like Vince."

[10.0] "Awesome show from start to finish with a large variety of European and worldwide talents. Very good opener for the hardcore match, Jack has been a tremendous champion, the dream match with Aigle Blanc and Mike Bailey is the best match I've ever had the chance to see live and the main event between MBM and Joey Janela was on another level. You can feel the hate between this two and the match was fantastic. Overall great show and a special mention for the entrance stage that was very impressive."
62611.04.2024
17:08
[6.0] "The show was decent and the in ring action was good. AEW is a company that guarantee very good wrestling. The footage of the ALL IN altercation with Punk and Perry was not worth being shown. I don't see it as an attempt to have better ratings but just Tony wanting to show how much Punk is toxic."
62711.04.2024
17:05
[1.0] "AEW has officially hit their "finger poke of doom" show. They will never recover from this, from the baffling decision to show that CM Punk described the Jack Perry incident accurately, to Will Ospreay embarrassing himself on a promo, this is the beginning of the end. Tony, I know you will read this so I am saying this directly to you: Please stop trying to be the booker. You are not good at this. You're good at booking PPV matches, but week to week you are not good at this. Please hire someone to do that for you, someone with loads of experience, like Scott D'more or someone like that. Please. AEW is good for wrestling but you've made it into a joke with last night's episode."

[9.0] "It was a good show.. People here being unfair about their rating.. Cope vs Penta was so good and might be my favorite Penta single match. I wasn't sure about showing the footage before the show but they did a good job with it.. They closed the Punk story.. Gave Jack Perry story and built his return.. Pushed FTR vs The Bucks to a new level.. We all know FTR vs The Bucks was goona be the match for the PPV but most of us want new tag teams to win the belt.. Now this story got heated and a most watch feud + To the people who complain " AEW doesn't do stories" How about this as a big story? .. Ospreay did a good promo. 6 man tag was fine. Okada in AEW still feel weird to me. May vs Jay was my highlight of the show. May is one of few wrestler who when you get a match with you shine. Jay in 2024 having her best in ring work. Mina Mina Mina! Mina in AEW is a dream come true and her feud with Storm will be so good. Mina debut is the highlight of the week to me. Joe vs Dustin wasn't a fan of it.."
62911.04.2024
16:41
[3.0] "The tape took away from the rest of the show, it just didn't make the company look good. There were Punk chants when there should be chants for wrestlers in the company. Aew needs to look inward and focus on themselves and put good matches and intriguing storylines. The matches were okay, nothing really came as a surprise."
63011.04.2024
16:35
[9.0] "The people crying about the all in footage are completely missing the point about that being used to further the storyline between FTR vs the Bucks and also seemingly completely forget that FTR cut a great rah rah forget about the past let's focus on the now speech, absolutely shocking, outside of that I felt like this was a great episode of dynamite that suffered from having a rather weak crowd, great matches great storyline progression from everyone involved and i'm happy Deonna is still in the mix with Thunder Rosa, I could have had Dustin Rhodes/Samoa Joe go a little longer as only 9 minutes with blood felt a little underwhelming, but other than that, a very good show with a great promo from both Ospreay and FTR."
63111.04.2024
16:12
[8.0] "Choosing to roll this footage only made each side dig in more and the WWE side is bigger because it's more popular. I would say that alone was probably reason enough to NOT show the tape. That said, the show had some really great moments. Swerve and Joe feel heated up now. It's cheap, but an opener like that is always fun, and the show felt messy in a good way for it. Adam Copeland is wrestling like he's in 30s. The power slam to the apron looked brutal. Great showing from Copeland and Penta for sure. The trios match was fine and hopefully this Jericho stuff gets moving. Toni is funny as always, though I do fear for the Dynasty match being boring as usual since her new character arrived. People don't want to boo Toni. She's too funny. Mariah vs. Anna was awesome, and Mina will be surely gather a large simp following. Main even was pretty good. Dustin rules as usual, but you always know he's going to lose. Also, Ospreay killed it in that promo. The Tape: Pretty much what I expected. Your interpretation of it will pretty much go along in the tribe you're in, unfortunately. Hopefully this is over now."
63211.04.2024
16:08
[4.0] "Gonna say this, the in ring product aside from the six man tag match was good, but the Lionhook match had a bullshit ending... and also... that footage that got released for no reason in a storyline that makes no sense whatsoever, that's the issue we're dealing with here. This isn't a bad dynamite in terms of in ring product, but the Young Bucks segement was terrible and might've been worse if it wasn't for FTR cutting a hell of a promo to make that entire segment passable. Ospreay's shot at Triple H was unnecessary and Tony does not look good. 4/10 show, in ring product was good, FTR is great, but AEW somehow bullshit themselves out of a decent show."
63311.04.2024
16:04
[7.0] "Pretty standard show that didn't have that top tier moment to elevate it above. All of the matches were solid, even the squash. Okada's facials when he is beating up geeks are amazing. So much personality. A solid show being review bombed for a questionable promotional tactic. I kinda like the meta angle that the Bucks are doing, where the heels are actually the faces and vice versa. It's not a good idea in practice, but in theory it's fun. Regardless, they should have known the internet would respond to footage that was exactly what everyone knew it was as a bait and switch. Dirt-bag assaults subordinate at work; why bother?"
63411.04.2024
16:03
[0.0] "A nothing tv show. From Ospreay absolutely awful promo, which they tried to hide as a promo against danielson, same for the punk footage, dude you can just show them, no need to justify it on a storyline. But everything was so low effort, everything. The start, every single promo, match, sometimes i think aew is coming back, it definetly is not. But i guess it worked the purpose they were behind, or whatever TK had in mind, which seems to please the most toxic community i have ever seen. This company makes me less proud of being a fan every day"

[6.0] "Like I said before, the concept of this is kinda cool but having it at three minutes only dont give them enough time to really get going they shouldve kept it at the original time which was five minutes. But JD McDonagh vs Axiom wasnt bad it started to pick up towards the end but JD McDonagh got the victory and advance in the tournament."
63611.04.2024

[7.0] "The in-ring work was largely solid in this episode, with Copeland vs Penta being the Match of the Night. All of the angles for Dynasty were advanced in good directions, and the card is full of matches with good builds. I especially like the inter-gender angle with HoB and Cope/Willow. Confirmation of Okada/Pac is also quite welcome. I'm a little worried about Storm/Rosa from an in-ring perspective but all the other matches should be "good" to "great." I might be in the minority, but I liked the Ospreay promo in that he's being himself and he's justified in defending himself (i.e., just because the other promotion has a lot of fans that will shout him down doesn't mean he wasn't speaking the truth). I'll reserve judgment on the Young Bucks/FTR angle until the payoff at Dynasty, but I *do* like that it added some heat to their feud beyond "Who's the best tag team? " and I'm more excited for their PPV match now."

[8.0] "This one is a blast from the past. I searched for this show not expecting to find it. The main draw for this show was actually the unlisted "Master". He was a regular guest on the local cable access show Talking Wrestling at the time. He was just a local kid trying to do an over the top karate fighter/ mystery man character. The show was traditionally your standard wrestling discussion/ call-in show, but at the peak of the Monday Night Wars it became popular for local high-schoolers to go on the show and act out characters. The master was the most successful of these gimmicks, and eventually they built to a match on this show. The show was ostensibly a fundraiser for a proposed skate park at Library Plaza in Marshfield, that I believe was eventually built. I'm sure the work on this show was passable to bad, but it was a super fun night for all of us that went. I believe the Master won with a move onto a skateboard that popped the crowd pretty hard."

[4.0] "Although this Dynamite felt like a fever dream, it was far from justifying a 0-point rating. Cope-Penta, May-Jay and Joe-Rhodes were all good matches. I also liked the build-up with Swerve, who took several chances to soften up the champion before the big title match. The rest of it though? Good lord. The Rated Chicken Hawks segment was a mess, albeit in a rather funny way. What happened after the women's match, on the other hand, just seemed weird. The audience was dead because nobody understood what was going on. Mercedes was even worse. I get that she has her own writer, but if this is what they come up with, I can do without. Nothing she said felt in any way honest or believable. She's a disingenuous sports entertainment character, and a shitty one at that. Not sure I even want to address the Bucks and Ospreay segments as they were as bush league as it gets. I'm fine with having fun at the expense of the competition, but this felt rather insecure and desperate. Pro-wrestlers and promoters are manipulative numskulls who talk shit, lie and act like children. So what? Do Ospreay and FTR come off like bigger faces now? No. Are the Bucks better off now that they aired their grievances? I don't know, maybe. The heat, however, is with AEW as Tony should have known better."

[3.0] "Let's get this out of the way first. 'Rolling the tape' was a questionable promotion tactic that I personally was hesitant on from the get-go. It's a lose-lose situation there, AEW had zero control over the narrative for everything that happened with a former wrestler and a fight at All In. I understand why they aired it, but I don't think anything good came out of it, and maybe even hindered the company's perspective. It isn't about being morally right at this point, especially when people already gravitated to the people that they liked, cemented with a recent interview. The current hegemonic wrestling company has been able to transform itself and use its media ties to bolster the former talent. In some ways, this is just giving them more ammo. It's incredibly frustrating to me that this was seen as the solution. It's not even that the content of what they did was wrong, rather, the CONTEXT of how it arose was wrong. Feels like a misstep. Alright. Nevertheless, AEW is still a promotion with more than just one segment, no matter how influential that segment may be to the current understanding of the company. And frankly, it isn't a show worth watching. Opening to the show fell flat, opening contest was bloated and uninteresting, Jericho falls into the same content versus context problem, Okada squash, Mina Shirakawa kisses her former stablemate, etc. Mercedes Mone has been a huge disappointment. I have no idea why AEW's gravitated towards storyline styles I'd see in the other major U.S. company, it continues to highlight the worst aspect of herself as a wrestler. Ospreay had much better jabs at the hegemon, because AEW's actually able to control the story there! How about that! Decent main event, unfortunately getting completely overshadowed by everything before."

I don't think the crowd helped much either, but I couldn't really blame them. None of the matches really warranted any real excitement. I feel like if it were up to Tony, he probably would have just cancelled the show this week. As a result it basically became a nothing show that will end up being completely forgotten about in a month. **"

[7.0] "This was a pretty good episode from TNA. The opener between 3LK and The Disciples Of The New Church was far from great. Then we saw Sonny Siaki defeating D-Lo Brown, which is a smart choice to get over Siaki. He has been a really good character. The X Division title match between Jerry Lynn and Michael Shane was very good, intense and fast paced. I like Lynn's aggressiveness. I'm invested on his feud with Don Callis. Then Mike Tenay interviews Raven on a great segment. Abyss vs Sandman was bad, but we see some problems between the monster and Kid Kash. Swinger and Diamong win the tag team titles after a very good match with AMW. This feud has been really good and I think it's a great choice to have the heels win. Their job has been pretty good this last month. On the other hand, Dusty vs Gilberti was horrible. The Mad Mikey segment was as fun as the others. And finally the main event. It was a good match, but harmed by the overbooking. Raven was so over. Good nearfalls and exchanges. But AJ wins thanks to the Disciples Of The New Church. After the match Harris, D-Lo and Dusty come to the ring and Harris cuts one of his angry promos about being screwed by the heels. There's a little brawl and Erik Watts cames to the ring and announces a f'n War Games for next weeks show. That should be great. I'm really invested on next weeks shoe because of the Super X Cup and the war games. TNA has been doing a good job promoting their following events lately."

People getting worked up over the controversial... *checks notes* 5 minutes of the show only reinforces my conviction that even reading discussions about dirtsheet type of stuff ahead of a show is detrimental to one's enjoyment thereof. So, I'm rating this 8/10 for the quality of provided entertainment instead of using my rating to send a message to Tony Khan, even though that approach is also valid since, he cares if shows do well on Cagematch."

[4.0] "The opening match between Penta and Adam copeland was fine, nothing fancy and a little slow but it wasn't bad. The trios tag was fine, not good but fine - we all know Jericho is turning on HOOK and they advanced the story (I don't really care about the feud though but compared to couple of past weeks, they at least did something instead of a stupid 'I have a proposion/Jericho calls HOOK out'). Mariah May vs Anna Jay was fine as was Samoa Joe vs Dustin Rhodes. Ospreay promo was fine (if somewhat stupid, why would you fire shots at HHH/WWE when they are on fire and you are on TNA-mode? ). The Toni Storm/Thunder Rosa toast was a big nothing. FTR cut a good promo. The Young Bucks somehow managed to weave the footage in-to storyline but it was a big nothing. Nothing was particularily bad on it's own but when you have a show full of stuff that is 'fine' or 'stupid' it's not a good episode."

I love all forms of professional wrestling, I'm neither a WWE or AEW fanboy, but having the entire premise of your show being built around a guy who ISN'T EVEN IN YOUR COMPANY ANYMORE is just absolutely awful! The only way this would be somewhat acceptable is if the footage of Punk/Perry ended up with Perry getting the upperhand on Punk. The incident went exactly the way CM Punk said it did, so airing it did... nothing? Aside from prove CM Punk right about everything that happened. And why did they think this would be good for Jack Perry? I'm not his biggest fan, but c'mon... you don't want to actively bury somebody who is on your roster. Unless this is some weird fetish Tony has and likes to embarrass people who wronged him, then it just doesn't make any sense."

THE ATTITUDE ERA IS BACK.

This episode proved one thing to me and its that Tony Khan has an unhealthy obsession with WWE, the video of the Punk altercation at All In and the Ospreay comments were not needed but he felt they were. Hopefully this is just one of those bad episodes and the rest of 2024 goes well we really need it to."

The mediocre (in a good way) part is the spoken one, the less of the show. Matches are boring and random in some case, the better you get is the Copeland match, not more than merely sufficient. Not okay even with the main event, that's why: put the brother of the other Rhodes in an eliminator bout I know he would have lose. Under basic "workrate" then. Maybe the worst Dynamite ever."

[0.0] "It was a disastrous show. The CM Punk/Jack Perry footage being the major factor but not the only one. The idea to show this footage was surprising but I thought they must have a reason for it but no. It was just a cynical ratings ploy. The footage was very similar to Punk's version of events and lends him credibility. And even got him cheers and chants on the show. I hope this isn't something that carries on through future weeks. FTR tried to save it with a decent promo but it was a tough task. They then even followed this straight up with a shoot promo aimed at Triple H by Will Ospreay. They don't need to do this. It reeks of desperation. As does the forced sexual content with the Toni/Mariah/Mina kissing and the strange Mercedes angle. They need a big reset of the show. Go back to basics next week. Cut out the cheapness. I feel like I missed a few weeks of TV with the abrupt Jericho change of character."

[1.0] "[0.50/5.00]: It's hard to mention "rivals" while writing about this review, considering how much of a portion is dedicated to ex-workers than building upon their own. Now I don't mean to sound as a hypocrite while writing this, my thoughts on the Ariel Helwani podcast and Triple H's interview with Pat McAfee is somewhat similar but to a lesser degree considering they were just answering questions, with Triple H "fumbling" on free agents and, the majority of, CM Punk's view on the Brawl In matter at Wembley. But were those jabs taken at the expense of AEW, not sure, but don't come nearly enough as petty as what transpired today on this card. Seeing Tony Schiavone's reaction to it all being unfolded, reliving the booking days of Vince Russo and WCW in 2000 is genuinely sad, over a segment that made an ex-worker more over and a fanbase more obnoxious by the end of it, Tony Khan pretty much confirmed two things at the expense of it: CM Punk didn't lie about what he said, and that Tony Khan himself is not a real boss. None of it helped in expanding upon AEW's programming, except for burying its own talents. And even if that wasn't enough, Will Ospreay took a very "not-subtle" jab at Triple H over grinding the boss' daughter, which comes out as unprofessional, artificial, and corporate, something that Ospreay has fought against for the majority of his career. AND Even if that wasn't enough, the main event is a Rhodes vs a Samoan, living in the coattails of what happened a few days prior, to show how average that match would be without added interferences that made it special (STILL NOT FUCKING SURE HOW Samoa Joe is in AEW Title Eliminator while being an AEW champion, wtf? ) This episode was designed for those specific internet niche crowd diehards that would go to any lengths to defend it and hate on the competitor, this episode was designed for grabbing attention by a worker who doesn't work there anymore but tried making him needlessly the bad guy out of this, this episode is the living embodiment of a child wailing on "I'm number one, the other guys are bad, please pick me, why don't you love me." For a show taglined as "Where the Best Wrestle, " where none showed their best tonight. Again, I'm not in any way, shape or form conforming to Tribalism, but this episode reveled on that concept. Fuck tribalism. Fuck this show."

[8.0] "Two fantastic matches (Copeland/Miedo and Joe/Rhodes), plus a handful of entertaining backstage segments (Shibata, Copeland), Ospreay shooting on Trips, a kinda meh interview with Mercedes (but continues her story, at least), and Toni Storm just being Toni Storm (spectacular). Then there's the central talking point, which was just kind of okay. I'm not taking a side as to whether or not they "should have" aired the footage. It's their decision and I respect it. I think the only person coming out of it looking bad is indeed the target, so mission accomplished indeed. They tried to tie it to the tag team tournament, but even FTR came out straight afterwards and questioned its true relevancy. That was the weak part. Perhaps it would have been more appropriate to release the footage elsewhere as a standalone thing, but I can understand wanting to get some ratings out of it and new eyes on the show, so they had to kind of "justify" its airing. However, with that said, the whole thing lasted around 10 minutes. The rest of the show was much better. It's a shame people are bemoaning 2 hours of TV because of the most controversial 10 minutes. Plus, perhaps the receipt Ospreay gave to Paul, but I personally enjoyed that. I mean, you'd think Punk fans would too, but hey. Different times we've living in. Special shout out to Mina's contribution, also. A very entertaining show."

[4.0] "Tbh a bit of a disappointing show. The All In footage was pretty much what CM Punk had said, which while it does show him striking first, it's hardly news and just doesn't really serve AEW in any meaningful way, especially when the crowd starts chanting CM Punk. Ospreay gave a quick kind of awkward promo with more wwe clapbacks, which was fine, but underwhelming when he has a match to build with Bryan and the 2 have barely interacted at all (I'm sure the match will still be very good tho). Opening match kinda killed my hype with how long and slow it was. The 6 man tag match was pretty short and I dont think really did anyone any favours. Okada feels like he could be doing more than being saddled with a past their prime young bucks, but im glad hes heading for a match with Pac. Womens match was just your typical aew women's match. Main event didnt really get me hyped, Dustin hasn't been relevant in a long time and I get AEW wants to capalitise on Cody finishing his story, but it just didn't work for me because its very obvious who would win (match was decent tho). Overall this could be AEWs worst show this year and really highlights some of its weakest points. AEW has really good ppvs, but their tv build is always a bit lacklustre and it's been like that since TK completely took over creative."

[] "Solid AEW Dynamite episode. 1. The opening segment with Swerve attacking Joe, helps elevate the title match at Dynasty. 2. Adam Copeland pulling out moves that we didn't expect to see, was great, it was good to see Copeland do something different, something that I don't think we would have seen him do in other companies. 3. Six Man tag is now setting Jericho up to become a heel, something I think the fans have been wanting to happen - he's booed all the time, so why not make him constant heel? 4. Okada and Pac is going to be a great match come Dynasty, and having the fight break out with FTR and Punk selecting there sides has elevated both matches/feuds. 5. Mariah May and Anna Jay's match was good, but as someone who hasn't watched Supercard of Honor, or knows Stardom, I don't know the significance of Mina coming in to save Mariah. 6. Main event was a great match, proving that Dustin can still go, whilst also allowing Joe to take out his frustrations."

Shingo and EVIL was awful, as most House of Torture matches tend to be. Main event was good but extremely predictable as they already announced Naito vs. Mox for the belt before the show started. [7.0] "Yeah, they shouldn't have aired that footage on tv, the perfect moment was after All In to justify the Punk firing, which he deserved as he clearly assaulted Jack Perry who didn't even seemed to be problematic here. I'm glad that I saw that as a fan, like we always want to see more of what happens backstage. As expected they turned this into a storyline between Young Bucks vs FTR, their segments and in ring promo were entertaining but this did not put enough spice on the feud imo. Elite fans or CM Punk fans : No one will change their minds after seeing that. Jack Perry is wrestling in Chicago this week-end and he's probably gonna be involved in this feud, that's cool. The rest of the show was actually good tho, except, once again, for the f*ckin Jerich-vortex, but this time it get's worse as Shibata is used to take the pin... I didn't really liked the Mercedes Moné interview too. Reminds me of the worst of TNA. The rest was cool, Edge is wrestling a great luchador in Penta, good match and the feud against House of Black gets more interesting, very funny backstage promo with Stokely trying to book Willow into a TNT championship against Copeland. The Ospreay promo was excellent, a great shot fired back at Hunter and still managed to hype up the match with Danielson even more. Good segment between Toni Storm and Thunder Rosa too, followed by a good showing of Marah May and Anna Jay, Mina Shirakawa came to save her friend after the match and she looked gorgeous! The main event was really good, Dustin still got it man, and they did a great job at building the big championship match for Dynasty, Swerve HAS to win!"

A shockingly high amount of awful things - the bucks promo, the ospreay promo, the Sasha angle (a fake awkward backstage beatdown on a show centered around a real one), the tacky lesbian angle , the idea of the Rhodes main event. It kills you inside. Hurray! 2 womens matches and 3 minutes combined. It's been the main attraction to RAW after all. Roxanne is a nice surprise alright but what about the Cargill squash? Made me wonder how many more will get until we saw a proper Cargill match without the 'moves of doom'. I hope it's sooner than later. Awesome Truth - Judgement Day match was not working until Cena arrived (and it appears to be staged just for the sake of it) and then it was fun-ish in the context of history between all three guys. Gable & Zayn against Imperium was a fun bout. Gable is a reliable worker with a high work rate so I pray for WWE to finally pull the trigger on him and crown him once he gets over again. Main event was a good match but I have 0 interest in the Main Event Jey even if we consider WHC an upper-card belt. A Ricochet win would have been a pleasant change of scenery. 45 minutes promo thrice in a row is jarring but yeah, it was expected for a RAW after Mania. Not the best RAW after Mania and lacked surprises but it's worth to keep an eye out for a while."

[] "I won't rate this or any of the Speed matches as it appears. First and foremost: The match is ineligible for the matchguide and this is a single match show. What's the point? And then, I don't know what there is deserving more than a 2 or 3. Imho, it's hard to buy Axiom losing only in 2:26 to JD. You could sell the angle over something like 'JD has more in-ring experience yada yada' (if you find enough time to narrate it) but then Axiom is your newly crowned champion. A tournament that is exclusive to X sounds off to begin with but I can admit the idea is somewhat unique and fresh, 3 minutes is just not enough. What is this? Wrestling for adhd youth who zaps between X-Tiktok and Youtube? You can justify some of the squash matches with more dominant forces like Bronson Reed and it could be interesting to see a clash of styles but these type of cruiserweight matches don't click with me. It's high octane but ends up being a spotfest and the mistakes the performers do are just the usual stuff that would have been kicked out on any show other than Speed. Match length leaves little room to be creative about it and honestly, I feel negative about crowning a champion too. Feels like a prop. Make it 5 min for a regular match and 7 min for the finals and then we might talk. Time limit is good when you know how to work around it."

[8.0] "The online hypocrisy surrounding the current situation, particularly on twitter and in these comments, is quite amusing. Regarding WWE taking shots at AEW, the double standard is evident. If one company takes jabs, the other should be allowed to shoot back without it being labeled as petty. While one may not necessarily approve of such actions, the integration of these shots with the upcoming FTR match and jack perry's recent character development was well executed and sets the stage for an exciting comeback storyline for jack and an amazing tag match at dynasty. As a pro wrestling fan, todays episode of dynamite delivered just that, with addition of great storyline continuations. Additionally, the Mariah May vs Anna Jay match was fantastic, with an even better follow-up. The womens wrestling all over AEW shows has been excellent the last months, (particularly on ROH) while there is still some room for improvement. Overall, it was a great show, though not the absolute best in recent weeks. Regarding some stating AEW will be out of business in the next year after the all in tape; (weve had this annoying discussion since they started in 2019)Well, i think theyre just fine with already having sold over 40k for wembley without any matches announced and still 4 months to go, 100 k + ppv buys for every PPV, a new tv deal AND employing 4 of the hottest free agents in the business recently. And if a sex trafficking lawsuit didnt kill a company, im sure a 1 minute video wont do any harm :)"

Showing this footage (whilst there were at least attempts to integrate it into some sort of angle) was a massive own goal. I felt so bad for Tony Schiavone. His face said it all. All anyone is talking about is how much of a joke AEW is and how petty Tony Khan is right now. I hope they can turn things around because AEW's existence is a great thing for pro-wrestling... but Tony is going to have to take a serious look at the way he does things if that is going to happen."

[6.0] "Giving this is a format of very short matches, I think it would be good if they can do at least 2 or 3 matches per week instead of just 1, but maybe they want to make the tournament last for a month or so. But after the tournament is finished, they should consider do more matches and increase the time limit to at least 5 minutes. Also, entrances and a more elaborated presentation would be great. Speaking about the match, since both JD and Axiom are cruiserweights the match was more on the line of the inaugural Dragon Lee vs Ricochet, with both wrestlers going from 0 to 100 since the very beginning and looking for big moves at any chance they got, which is the logical thing to do with the time given. Nice detail to increase the sense of urgency that the matches that end in a draw mean both wrestlers are eliminated from the tournament. Only thing I didn't like about the match was JD winning with the headbutt and not his finisher. I think that makes Axiom look bad. I also find so funny how JD is basically a jobber in the main roster and here he was able to beat in less than 3 minutes the new NXT Tag Team Champion, but that's just a matter of hierarchy. *** for the match."

The Mega Powers versus Twin Towers match isn't that good in itself, though I did enjoy the Hercules versus Ted Dibiase match. Randy was awesome on this show, and looking back kinda justified; it's funny how many feuds back in the day that if you really think about it Hulk was kinda the bad guy. Akeem was the shits here. Solid show overall; big for historical factor."

[5.0] "This was weak for a 1997 episode of Raw. This does have a good Bret Hart promo as usual and the main event was fun because of the upset win The Patriot gets on Bret Hart because of Shawn Michaels distracting him. With the big PPV stipulation, this was a good way to make Bret look vulnerable with it also potentially being his last match on Raw in the US. This does a decent job with the hype for the main event at Summerslam, but it feels like it's more because of Shawn Michaels involvement than it was about the Undertaker. For a PPV go home show, there was just way too many filler matches for my liking, especially having Steve Austin and Dude Love defend the titles against the Godwinns! There was a few highlights but it's completely skippable."

[8.0] "The US vs Canada feud in the WWF made for some really good and chaotic TV and it's another entertaining Raw in Canada because of it. I'm not a big fan of the flag match stipulation, but the main event was still fun and well built throughout the show and this had some great moments with Bret and HBK's long running feud taking centre stage again with Austin now moving on to his brother Owen. This had some great promos with the Pro-Canada one from Bret continuing to get him support in these shows and the HBK later coming in and pretty much pushing the envelope and disrespecting the Canadian fans while also an he was made guest referee for Bret v Undertaker with it spilling into the next match where Bret interrupted it and attacks Vince McMahon in a pretty wild and chaotic moment. The matches are mostly okay, but the triple threat tag wasn't very good and Goldust v Faarooq had a strange ending, but they did use that as a filler match to give the fans a breather after the chaos that just went down with Bret and Vince! Very memorable episode overall."

[7.0] "Though this show was an average Dynamite which is still very high quality for weekly pro wrestling TV. The opening angle with Swerve and Joe set the pace for what would be a very chaotic show. The new opener was very fun with Cope and Penta having a great match. This is a combo I would have never thought to do but the end result was extremely fluid and they had much better chemistry than I would have guessed. Willow got involved after Julia and Brody attacked Adam which set a mixed "We didn't have time to hydrate or even pray" The All In footage was show and pretty much what I thought it would be "a high school scrap." They got eyes on the product and used it to build for their match with FTR. Then FTR got to use the segment as a way to cut a great babyface promo. If you're gonna use this as a ratings ploy this was the best way they could have done it. BIG BRUV defended himself because honestly who tf encompasses the grind in pro wrestling more than Ospreay? He then built for his match with Bryan who have a good video before this. STP got a nice win which you like to see while Jericho is very clearly being painted as the heel. Squash from Okada followed by him accepting the Pac challenge, also getting more heat on the Bucks which you love to see. Mariah may has shown to be such a good signing for AEW. She can go out there and have a good match with anyone on the roster and never detract from her story or "bury" her opponent. Then MINA GOT HER AEW DEBUT. Which a certain portion of the audience will go crazy for. Mone got attacked in the dark to the delight of that same portion lol. The main was fun and somehow Dustin makes every match feel way more intense even when the result is never in question."

[2.0] "Were they dedicated to producing the worst Dynamite episode possible? Putting over your rival company's 2nd-best babyface and then following it up with that Ospreay promo reminds me of the Billionaire Ted skits WWF had during the genesis of the Monday Night Wars (which didn't do any favours for them). The opener feels like a remedy for insomnia barring some moves Copeland pulled out. Why is Chris Jericho still on television? Honestly, thank goodness for this main event as this felt like a prize for sitting through almost 2 hours of an underwhelming pro-wrestling show."

[7.0] "This was a really good episode of early Dynamite here, and the penultimate of 2019. Jon Moxley squashes Alex Reynolds to open the show and then we get a lengthy segment where he talks to Mox about how he doesn't want to mess with the Inner Circle, but instead should join them. Speaking of Jericho (my MVP of this show) he also comes out after the Luchasaurus vs Sammy Guevara match and we end up with a match set between Jericho and Jungle Boy for the next week. My favourite mtch of the night was the Street Fight main event between Young Bucks and Proud 'N Powerful, while my least favourite was Big Swole vs Emi Sakura. My favourite segment of this show was MJF running down Cody, as my least favourite was the Brandi pre-tape. Some pretty good angles going on here."

I was straight up feeling second hand embarrassment watching that. I don't understand what Tony is thinking. I wished it never would have happened because it just makes the product feel so uncool. If only they would have had some fantastic matches to compensate for this, but no, the only match I had any interest in watching was Copeland vs Penta, and that wasn't exactly a barn burner. Same goes for interesting in-ring or backstage segments, it was just a boring show outside of the terrible Punk vs Bucks segment. They don't really have any storyline that is capturing my imagination. The main event was bad both theoretically and practically. I would have turned this episode off if I watched it live, it made me reconsidered my future as a fan of AEW. Weekly episodic television is supposed to make you want to watch the next episode, this one made me want to catch up with the next one online."

[8.0] "This was a genuinely very enjoyable episode. No matter your gripes with 1 particular angle it shouldn't overshadow how fun this show was. All the matches hit, although my only issue is the sudden end to Jericho/Hook/Shibata vs STP whilst the camera wasn't even on them and a lack of reaction for Lee Moriarty pinning Katsuyori Shibata. The opening angle was hot and brought the Joe/Dustin match into question but still allowed it to proceed in the main event. Dustin is still a great worker and Joe matched his style perfectly, though even those two couldn't compare to the opener between Copeland and Penta. Whilst it may have been a tad too long (still not enough to really hurt it), I never expected the chemistry we got between Cope and Penta in that match. Mariah is also an obvious win for the company as she's improved massively over the years and the Stardom relationship with AEW is looking very promising."

At the very least, Ospreay taking a shot at Hunter for the other day - sure, that's fair. But, what in the wide, wide world of sports was the point of airing that All In footage? CM Punk looks like a god coming out of that, Tony a liar for the "scared for my life" BS and Jack Perry can never be taken seriously on American television ever, ever again. Copeland/Penta, sure, fine enough, but tonight was one step to WCW 2000 and after a record-setting WWE weekend, this is the worst case scenario for Khan and crew. When 'Moaning' Mercedes Mone (I love her, but seriously what the HELL was that segment) can't save the show, you know you're in deep shit. And this may seem like sour grapes, but the fact that Tony is taking a legitimate second option for talent and turning it into the Clown Show from Jacksonville starring Matt and Nick makes me sick. And since the man himself is probably reading this - Mr. Khan. There was a time before Punk you did good television, please move on from the Second City Saint, put the Bucks lower on the card and get Okada as far away from them as humanly possible and get MJF back on national television soon before your company becomes the subject of a Peacock documentary."

[2.0] "In this world there are two types of persons: Chris Hero(s) who are intense and worried and Malakai Black(s) who mind their own business and don't give a damn, be chill about it. I'll be a Hero today. Not that I sincerely think this destroyed or would destroy AEW (that's at least not going to happen in one day) but this is a bad pattern of behaviour that would cost them a lot long term. Just focus on your ratings and keep your WB/TNT tv deal huh? This is a type of TV that could have been honored with a 0 for various reasons but AEW have still some credits left in me. I wouldn't be so entitled to call myself an AEW mark but I really do prioritize their shows over anything (unless it's a WM weekend whatsoever). To me, that footage came out of nowhere. I don't think many people watched the last edition of Collision (it was taped due to NBA/NHL playoffs and then you know, a busy weekend due to WM XL). I saw the tweets of Waller, Dijak et al's tweets earlier and got confused, later on learned more about one of the absolute most horrific decisions AEW could have ever carry on. MOTN: Mariah vs Jay. Mina kissing Mariah is cheap but fine for what it's worth. I imagine why it would be confusing for the people who's not acquinted with Mina. It was a fine debut nevertheless. The promo between Toni/Rosa/Purazzo was perhaps the only saving grace. I don't mind Dustin wrestling for a title opportunity after Cody's big win, if anything we could say he tries to honour his brother in his way. It was an alright match. Penta and Cope overstayed their welcome a bit but pace started to pick up after a little white from the start. STP went home with an upset and the reintroduction of Ogogo is slightly interesting to say the least (if Keith Lee gets his health back they seriously need to consider making him a heel and run STP alongside Taylor. It'd be interesting to see him in the world title picture against Swerve but this time in reversed roles). Promos were sluggish because they were inevitably too self conscious (even Ospreay did it, yikes but I can rationalize it as PapaH sounded like he was rejected by two of the hottest girl in school and was ruminating about it). The footage (from pirated or legit sources) is being actively copyrighted and destroyed. Talk about a backpedalling. I'd understand if they didn't have a week to bitch about it but they totally did. Jack Perry is not a present force in AEW. They just buried a guy in NJPW. Unbelievable. Schivaone apparently didn't know what was the exact footage meant to be shown and he was objectively embarrassed (probably had some WCW flashbacks in the meantime). Tony Khan, himself, claimed he feared for his life for the FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE. You expect a full MMA brawl and Phil casually puts JP in a headlock, smirking during his entrance at All-In and now looks like a complete badass. To be frank, he should have been at the point of his career where he had known better and went to business post-match but at least he worked the match and he was decently honest about the events if not completely. It was brought up by Helwani during a podcast and didn't eat up the rival's TV time. So, what's next? Taking shots at the podcaster? CM Punk chants echoed throughout the segment and even the night. He got over again in the company (after 10 MONTHS) he does not exist anymore. JP earned nothing from this as well as the YB. In kayfabe, neither of the teams needed that. Even your pre (og) talent (which is Spears) is mocking you online. Drew is ironically the only winner there and he didn't even try. You confuse the people who didn't follow this and embarrass the ones who did. We can't mention the rival here but they live rent-free in AEW's mind. The company you want to root for is the one who actively opens the gates that allows for tribalism. What a sick joke that is. TBS/TNT picked it up for sports aspect and my darling AEW barely had wrestling compared to promos today and those promos achieved nothing for Dynasty. In 2018 they were having backyard fun with bunch of indie wrestlers, 6 years later they can't move on without Punk even if indirectly. All this happens following the competition's best week ever in the recent years. Terrible look and seriously: fuck off. I am glad it received backlash and the promo being disliked to hell meanwhile all conscious fans mock the segment, bringing up valid points. This is how you move on and thrive, you cannot clash with your own consumer base. I'll be looking forward Dynasty but I don't know man, this sucked a lot of hype out of me. How could I possibly give a high score with a clear conscience? Cagematch essentially allows us to reflect our own experience and mine was inadequate (toned down version), I couldn't care less about the technicality this night (and well yeah it was a weak show all around anyway, as much as filler compared the past Collision and it's inexcusable). This went on way too long probably the longest review I put here ever but I am genuinely heartbroken and decided to be mad about it. AEW acts like a toxic ex and nobody should allow them to suck out the enjoyment while we try to move forward. Not everything does need to have a closure and even if they did, this ain't it."

[3.0] "Perfect example of why I don't like American TV Wrestling. To start with, there is the obsession with shoot drama over actual storylines. Not just the CM Punk stuff, but the shots taken at Triple H by Ospreay in his promo. And speaking of which. Way. Too. Many. Promos. Why not cut the amount down and give us another women's match? Or do you refuse to exceed your contractually mandated 1 women's match per show? Far too little actual wrestling went on in this WRESTLING show. Even then, aside from the opener, all the wrestling was mediocre with far too much standing around and playing to the crowd. The storytelling was pretty poor as well, with constant overuse of the same spot. The winner is attacked after the match, then someone runs in to save them. Every. Single. Time. Sometimes the lights go out before hand. This same formula is even used in the Mercedes Mone promo. Very little character nuance is shown with this, it's just good guy and bad guy. Even throwing in my favourite tag team of Rose Gold isn't enough to salvage it. Regarding some of the matches themselves, lets start with the opener of Copeland vs Penta. I did like this match overall, but it was seriously marred by the fact that this is a TV title defense. The vast majority of the time, the title isn't going to change hands at a non-PPV event. Knowing how it's going to end takes away from the experience, and I don't see why they keep insisting on doing it. Not every match needs to have big stakes, sometimes just treating it like the sport it is and having a solid match is enough. And as for the Okada match. Why. What is this achieving. You think you need to build up Okada? OKADA? Or are you trying to show those who don't know about him how great he is? Either way, this is rubbish. If it's to build him up, you don't need to. Stop. And if it's to show how strong he is, do you really think watching Johnny Jobber get beat in 1 minute will have any sort of lasting impression on the viewer? Why not show him in a match against someone established, and let his performance speak for itself? The characters are shallow, the storylines are shallow, and theres not enough focus on actual solid wrestling."

[0.0] "Adam Copeland and Penta was decent but random and heatless. Everything Jericho is involved in is poison. The Punk video was a huge bust. Not sure they can ever run Chicago again without the shows getting highjacked by CM Punk chants. That whole fiasco could potentially do real long term damage. Okada in a nothing squash in another heatless feud with PAC. Mercedes and the Marvez interview was terrible. She has not moved the needle at all and is not expected to wrestle for almost 2 months. Great. Toni Storm and Thunder Rosa in a feud with no story despite the fact that the two were a tag team for like a year. Mariah May is a star. Mina's debut in West Virginia of all places was bizarre. Giving May a huge kiss at the end to a confused reaction. Imagine if Dustin Rhodes had mentioned going for the title months ago and they built a story around his struggle to rise up the rankings. Instead, we get a one off promo on a Saturday night, playing off the fact that Cody was about to win the WWE title. And literally 3 days later he gets this match. All in all, this was top to bottom the worst Dynamite of all time. I genuinely feel like nothing in this company has heat right now. 90 percent of the champions defend the titles in a seemingly endless stream of open challenges completely devoid of any emotion. I feel like Tony is wasting the careers of some of the best wrestlers of all time. What a shame. Something needs to change."

It was a detriment to the rest of the show and the talent. And just to make it worse, they have one of the best wrestlers in the world come out on live tv and take a shot at the other company too. I walked away from this episode tonight embarrassed. Instead of focusing on improving their product, they are choosing to be reactionary and putting focus on things they shouldn't. Pathetic."

The rock came out to drag the show and take some spotlight. I loved the surprises of ilja and Roxy coming out. Jade seems to be raw bound in the draft. Jade vs Rhea? Sign me up. Miz ruined raw for me. I like truth tho. Imperium deserve more respect in the WWE, they are legitimate A class tag team wrestling champs worthy. Main event was ok. All I'll really say about it is that the promos surrounding it were good, but it also encapsulates my issues with AEW as a whole right now. AEW was recently on a roll with back to back huge debuts of some of the best wrestlers in the world after a hot PPV that saw the extremely emotional retirement of one of the biggest stars in the history of wrestling. Then the owner couldn't keep his mouth shut and his ego in check and now they're back to being the same laughing stock they were last year. That segment and the sour taste it left in my mouth are obviously my reasons for leaving a low rating, but the rest of the show as a whole was just mediocre, which made my disdain for this episode all that much worse. The rest of the card was good but all three matches had a very similar formula with matches building slowing before climaxing with good action but nothing mind blowing. Perhaps it would be fair to say that getting somebody like PAC to exchange side headlocks with his opponent is not the best use of his talent and this is a criticism I would have for all three of the top matches here. Good matches but sadly no great ones and this to me is not because of the wrestlers but the way the wrestlers were used and the promotion they were working in."

[2.0] "A week after starting the "AEW: Where the Best Wrestle" tagline and repeating that at least half a dozen times on last week's show, they had exactly one match in the first hour this week. I genuinely can't understand what the point in airing the All In footage was. Nobody in AEW looks better from that footage having aired. I actually like the fact the Bucks are using the incident as an explanation for losing at All In, that's a good touch and it also makes sense, but they could do that without the footage. The footage itself didn't disprove a single thing Punk said, and the person who looks worst coming out of it is TK himself after repeatedly saying the "I feared for my life" line. Punk stepped towards him while being held back by two people, and that's what TK "feared for his life" about? Then Ospreay comes out and takes the absolute most unoriginal shot one can take in pro wrestling, which also doesn't make sense because he's the one who originally said, "I picked AEW for the lighter schedule." It'd be one thing if Will had said, "I made the best choice for myself and my family, " left it at that, and then the other side takes a shot and says, "Well he didn't want the grind." If that had happened, Will's promo here would have made sense. But when Will himself says, "I didn't want the grind, " the other side just acknowledges that he said that, and then Will complains about it? That makes no sense. I want AEW to succeed so badly, but when they (and by "they" I mean TK, to be clear) just constantly prove that the other side lives rent-free in their heads, when they're actually dedicating TV time to respond to stuff that happened on the other side when that time could be used for, y'know, WRESTLING, it's just sad. Mercedes talked again, which is the thing she's worst at, and they continue to prove each and every week that their rankings system is useless considering she gets a title shot in her very first match after having been in the company for 2+ months without wrestling. I love watching Copeland in action so it doesn't matter to me that the match may have been unnecessarily long and gotten sluggish, it was still a good match. Am I imagining things or did Ogogo do literally nothing in the 6-man tag? After technically being legal for the first few seconds after the bell rang before tagging out, I don't remember him ever getting in the match again, which is strange. The match was fine though, and I've been a Shane Taylor fan for close to 8 years now so it's great to see him getting some recognition. May-Jay was your standard decent Dynamite women's match, which set up the debut of someone nobody there live seemed to know. Maybe put someone's name on the tron when you debut them, boss? Round 2 of Rhodes vs. Samoan named Joe was perfectly fine. After the Swerve attack that opened the show, I actually thought they might have Swerve cost Joe this match to get Dustin a win and a title shot, but they went with Joe heeling his way to a win, which is good too. Overall, I'd give a 6/10 to the wrestling on this show and a massive 0/10 to everything non-wrestling on this show. Since the footage was such a big selling point only to end up being a complete nothing-burger and potentially detrimental to AEW, it's a final 2/10 from me."
