It's not a nonsensical farce like Heroes of Wrestling, there literally barely any enjoyment to be aside from the opener. If you're coming in thinking this will be something to riff on... you can sure try, but you're going to have to work for it and at that point is it worth it? This show is so bland. I thought Kevin Thorn was cool as hell and it isn't his fault but that mixed tag is one of the worst matches I've ever seen. Dreamer vs. Davari is the most Sunday Night Heat match of all time.. on a $60 PPV. Balls Mahoney vs. Matt Striker just sucks, people loved Balls cause he brained people and that's what we wanted.. instead he locked in a jujigatame what the hell? The Chamber match is fun except for the fact they eliminated Punk & RVD early and picking Bobby Lashley to win. I love Bobby Lashley but he's the least ECW guy of all time to win the ECW title. A poor show that deserves every bad rating it gets for being boring and basically killing the ECW brand. |

I've watched it a few times and it has a pretty good feeling of nostalgia in Penn. I like the "original" ECW, but I think the fans and Paul Hayman himself gave up on WWE ECW too soon. I think the first year of ECW was really underrated. Like NXT 2.0, they just needed more time and faith from the fans to grow the next generation of the race. It seems to me that if Paul Heyman had not left after this show. Sooner or later, he and Vince began to trust each other more and would come to a compromise. This PPV was a daring experiment that unfortunately failed. But despite this and being the WORST PPV in history, this event holds a special place in my heart. |

Admittedly, the opening tag match was pretty damn good, but you can't really go wrong with MNM and the Hardy's. Also none of the wrestlers in this match were even a part of ECW so it didn't really make sense having them on here. Nonetheless, good match. The second match was unremarkable besides the oddly large size of Matt Striker's bulge for some reason, and the fact that his face was on his ass. The next match was pretty forgettable too, besides the muscle buster from Terkay and the "TNA" chants that followed. For some reason, they decided to follow this up by having Daivari beat possibly the most beloved ECW star of all time in Tommy Dreamer via roll-up, and then have Great Khali eat him after the match. Ariel and Thorn vs Knox and Kelly was pretty bad as well, given the fact that two of the people in the match were untrained managers (one was a stripper) and the other two were people nobody gave a shit about. At least Kelly and Melina were hot. The main event Chamber match was a pretty decent idea in theory, however it was awful in execution. To have the two fan-favorites and guys that the crowd actually cares about (CM Punk and RVD) be eliminated first was just an awful move, as the crowd was checked out the rest of the match. Also, having Sabu, a guy that went through hell in the original ECW matches and still finished the matches be knocked out backstage and replaced with HARDCORE HOLLY of all people was beyond stupid. Nobody cared about him or Test and them getting eliminated were just footnotes. The payoff was a still green Bobby Lashley becoming the top dog on ECW, dethroning ECW legend The Big Show in the process. It's no wonder Bobby couldn't really ever get over with the fans in his initial WWE run. Overall this show was a complete waste of time, and I found myself more amused with making fun of Big Show than actually enjoying the action. Take advice from Paul Heyman's reaction at the end, and save yourself 2 and a half hours that could have been spent doing more productive stuff. |

Elimination Chamber match needed RVD or Punk to win and Daivari should not have defeated Dreamer. When you have a show under the Extreme Championship Wrestling brand more than one match should be extreme. Badly booked and disappointing matches outside of the opener ruined this pay per view and prevented the ECW brand from gaining any momentum. |

RVD was the most over seeing him lose relatively early was a mistake. Test looked like a beast in this. I definitely would have subbed Holly with Sabu. I think Lashley winning was the right decision he was young and needed a push, people dislike this ppv because their favourite, the most overrated wrestler I've ever seen, CM Punk didn't win. I feel like the ECW show had potential and it's a shame that the negative reception of this average ppv prevented further ecw exclusive PPVs from occurring. |

(DUD) Ariel and Kevin Thorn vs Kelly Kelly and Mike Knox was terrible all around and had nothing of value. (DUD) The Extreme Elimination Chamber Match is an interesting concept with all competitors bringing in one weapon except only a few were actually used. CM Punk was hot with the crowd and Paul Heyman wanted him to win but Vinnie Mac loves big sweaty man so Bobby Lashley won with little to no reaction from the crowd. The match itself was a forgettable elimination chamber match but it was better than everything else minus the tag match. (**) Pretty awful show and led to the downfall of the ECW brand. The only match worth watching is the opener while everything else ruins ECW. |

Vermutlich haben sie den Teams hier so viel Zeit gegeben, da man nicht wusste wie man die Card füllen sollte, so hat der PPV insgesamt nur eine Laufzeit von ca 2 1/2 Stunden. Die 4 folgenden Matches bis zum Main Event sind allesamt grottenschlecht. In Random-Konstellationen werden hier billige Matches präsentiert, das ist nicht PPV-würdig, das wäre selbst für eine weekly ECW Show schwach gewesen. Der Main Event leidet naturgemäß unter der Auswechslung Sabus durch Hardcore Holly und den Sieg des ungeliebten Lashleys. dennoch möchte ich ein Stück weit eine Lanze für dieses Match brechen, denn so schlecht war das nicht. Die grundsätzliche Idee mit Waffen in der Elimination Chamber könnte man meinetwegen auch nochmal aufgreifen. hier macht man dann leider dennoch große Fehler, in Form von der Pause in der Mitte des Matches oder der Tatsache das nach CM Punk, der als erster geht, keiner vernünftig wrestlen kann. Insofern ist die Kritik hier also doch berechtigt. Insgesamt tatsächlich eine furchtbare Show, auch wenn der Opener ganz gut war und ich dem Main event zumindest zu Beginn noch etwas abgewinnen kann, wobei der lange Mittelteil der Show zwischen gähnend langweilig und lachhaft schlecht schwankt. |

Was zwischen Opener und ME geboten wird ist blanke Frechheit und nicht einmal auf Weekly-Niveau. MotN ist der Opener, den die bewerten Kräfte Hardys vs. MNM bestreiten, wobei sie auch kein Feuerwerk abbrennen. Das Ganze ist relativ restholdlastig und die bemitleidenswerte Crowd verschläft das Highlight der Show. Der ME ist zwar das wohl schlechteste EC-Match der WWE-Geschichte, aber immer noch ansehnlicher als der Rest. Schade, dass Punk und RVD so früh duschen gehen müssen. Der Rest ist wirklich übles Rumgemurkse. Für den ganzen PPV und eigentlich die ganze New-ECW gilt: Es wird nicht dadurch extrem, dass man jedes normale Match umbenennt und Spot-Monkeys ohne Spots wrestlen lässt. |

War sicherlich auch kein besonders denkwürdiges Match da doch besonders Mercury sehr blass wirkte und insgesamt fand ich es auch etwas lang, da es sich dann doch etwas wiederholte und nicht so viel zu erzählen hatte aber gerade die Hardys zeigen gute Doubleteammoves und Nitro ist ein guter Heel und der Eingriff von Melina passt da auch gut rein. Und danach hätte man eigentlich ausmachen können. Striker geht mir einfach nur auf die Nerven und das Match gegen Balls ist ein siebenminütiges Nichts. Bei den beiden hatte ich aber nichts anderes erwartet. Beim Tag Match danach eigentlich schon und es ist ein genauso unbedeutendes Nichts, wenn auch nicht so nervend und unsauber wie das Match davor. Und genau das gleiche Bild zieht sich auch bei Daivari gegen Dreamer durch. Was dann kommt ist für mich aber zusammen mit Striker gegen Balls der absolute TIefpunkt. Kelly Kelly und Ariel zicken sich an und zeigen etwas, dass nur mit viel Fantasie etwas mit Wrestling zu tun. Die "Matchstory" ist billigstes Soap Opera Material. Einfach nur schrecklich. Der ME kann dann leider auch nicht mehr viel retten mit hauptsächlich belanglosem Rumgebrawle, spürbaren Pausen in der Aktionen und seltsamen Abgestoppe wie bei Lashley, weil Heyman ja "der Böse" war, was bei einem Special, wo es um ECW Nostalgie gehen sollte genauso sinnlos ist wie die Sabu Geschichte. Insgesamt ein Booking das nichts mit ECW zu tun. Außer ein bisschen im ME ist hier nichts extreme und das ist wirklich das Schlimme an diesem PPV: Er ist komplett am Thema vorbei. Wenn das irgendwas mit ECW zu tun hätte, hätte zum Beispiel Balls per Stuhl Kleinholz aus Striker gemacht. Dazu kommt ein Kommentar, bei dem mir vor Allem Tazz mit immer wieder der gleichen Leier auf die Nerven geht. Bei aller Liebe aber mehr als einen Punkt kann ich nicht geben. The tag team match between Team Extreme and M&M is okay, but nothing really epic as it could have been with these two teams (just think of the spots between Jeff Hardy and Nitro). Also it's really short, just a few minutes over the two hour mark. It goes against everything the fans wanted to see and this is why I give such a low rating. Still we have to admit the hate on Big Show was not justified, he did a great job. Historically bad because there were no more ECW events, not even One Night Stand after this one. |

The opening tag match between the Hardyz and MNM was quite good, and the Extreme Elimination Chamber, while not all that well booked (popular upstart CM Punk and even more popular ECW Original RVD both being eliminated unceremoniously), did provide some good action. Most of the rest was total filler. The big issues were that the audience was very burned out on the brand-specific PPV events and had already largely soured on the ECW revival concept, and the ECW brand at this time just didn't have the amount of star power necessary to carry a full PPV on its own. |

Wenn man irgendwas gutes an diesem PPV finden will, dann muss man schon sehr großzügig sein, den das einzige was dafür in Frage kommt ist der Opener, welcher mit genügend Zeit ganz ordentlich ist und die richtigen Sieger hat. Die anderen Matches sind bis auf den Mainer völliger Müll, welchen man nicht braucht. Der Mainer ist dann auch nicht unbedingt empfehlenswert, Vorallem wenn Punk als erstes eliminiert wird? Was soll das denn? Das Holly den Platz von Sabu einnimmt ist relativ egal, denn eine große Rolle spielt er eh nicht. Auch Van Dam wird zu bald eliminiert. Lashley ist der falsche Sieger, Punk wäre mein Favorit gewesen. Tja, das wars für Paul Heyman und das völlig zurecht. Grausamer PPV, wo man sich nur das erste Match ansehen kann und dafür gibt es hier einen Punkt. |

Mercury machte kurz vor dem PPV eine Rückkehr nach Monaten ohne Lebenszeichen. Striker vs Mahoney war sehr schlecht. Also ich finde Matt Striker sehr unterhaltend aber bei einem ECW PPV zu sagen es soll ein Anti-extremes Match geben ist nicht gerade eine kluge Idee und dann war das Match auch elendig langweilig. FBI vs Burke und Terkay war schlecht. Mamaluke konnte man auch lange nicht mehr sehen und natürlich verliert das Jobber Team auch sehr langweilig. Dreamer vs Daivari war schlecht. Warum lässt man ein ECW Original wie Dreamer nicht gewinnen und stattdessen Nichtsnutz Khali und Großmaul Daivari einen Sieg gönnt? Danach ist man so dreist und zerstört man Dreamer durch Khali. Das Mixed Tag-Team Match war schlecht. Knox haut von Kelly ab und das war irgendwann zu erwarten. Außerdem hat Ariel wohl keine Ahnung vom Wrestling. Dann versucht man irgendwie Sandman zwei Minuten im PPV zu geben indem man Thorn verprügelt. Der Main-Event war schlecht. Sabu wurde aus dem Match entfernt und tut Holly rein nachdem er gegen Lashley ein paar Wochen vor dem PPV verlor. Nachdem CM Punk eliminiert wurde verlor ich mächtig Interesse an dem Match. Warum erledigt man den Mann der am meisten bejubelt wurde zuerst? RVD der zweite den ich gewinnen sehen wollte wurde auch zügig eliminiert. Lashley kümmert sich um Test und kann auf Big Show warten welcher ebenfalls richtig schnell eliminiert wurde. Kein Wunder das Paul Heyman nach dem PPV gehen musste. Das war ein abnormal furchtbarer PPV vielleicht sogar der schlechteste WWE PPV überhaupt. |

December to dismember war ein weiterer (und vor allem gnadenloser) Todesstoß für den "Extreme Brand". Bis auf das Opener Match konnte man sich keinen einzigen Kampf ansehen. Die Fans waren nach einer gewissen Zeit wie tod und auch die Atmosphäre war mehr als schlecht. Hinzu kam die Tatsache dass man mit viel zu hohen Erwartungen an den Main Event ranging (bei dem nicht mal ein Tisch zebrach). Resultat war, dass man nicht nur vom Main Event sondern auch vom PPV enttäuscht worden ist. Man hat einfach von vorne bis hinten alles falsch gemacht. Ich mag Lashley sehr aber den Titel hätte CM Punk gewinnen sollen. Außerdem waren, wie bereits erwähnt, alle Matches (abgesehen von Hardys vs MNM) schlecht. Dazu kommt noch der Ausfall Sabu's, welcher einige Fans vor Ort verärgerte. Große Enttäuschung und der endgültige Todesstoß für ECW. |

The build-up was terrible, it was the 3rd PPV within a month, the card was small, the show was short, the match quality was lacklustre at best, and it contained some of the worst decisions that Vince McMahon ever made. ECW fans were left alienated and soiled, and wrestling fans knew what was best for business, but they didn't get anything they wanted. It's a black spot that will never wash out, and an enormous "screw you" to the paying customers. |

Kann zwar mit Dreamer nichts anfangen, aber hier hätte man ihn gewinnen lassen müssen. (3/4*)5. Mixed Tag Team Match war schlecht. Wenigstens haben die besseren Worker gewonnen. (1/4*)6. Die Extreme Elimination Chamber war solide. Test war meiner Meinung nach der MVP. Sein Elbow war klasse. Leider hat hier Lashley gewonnen. (2 3/4*). Fazit:Ganz schwache Show. Über die Hälfte der Card war ein Totalausfall. Es waren ja nur zwei Matches angekündigt. Hätte ich die ganze Card gesehen hätte ich keine 15€ dafür bezahlt. Opener war gut und die Chamber war solide, aber mit dem falschen Sieger. Definitiv einer der fünf schwächsten WWE PPVs aller Zeiten. |

Der Opener war doch mal recht unterhaltsam, zumal hier die Technik und Highflyer-Freaks doch auf die Kosten gekommen sein sollten. Unterhaltsam allemal (***1/2). Mahoney vs. Striker (*) und Daivari vs. Dreamer (*1/2) waren in diesem Falle wirklich nur Füller-Matches, wer Kritik hier anbringt, den kann ich verstehen. Interessant war dann Prollis gegen FBI. Solides Wrestling des FBIs, jedoch mit den falschen Siegern (**3/4) Das Mixed Tag Team Match war dann ja... ähm... so gesehen der Storyline wichtig. Wrestlerisch ne Null, aber vo der Entwicklung der Story mehr als nur passend. Soap Opera meets Bad Comedy (*3/4). Und was den Main Event angeht: es war schon recht düster und deathmäßig ausstaffiert, aber wirklich extrem war es nicht. Wa in der Kammer aber für Spots gezeigt wurde und mit welcher Aggressivität da hantiert wurde, war sehr authentisch. Punk, RVD und Lashley sehr unterhaltsam, Test mit Abstrichen und Big Show und Holly so schwach dargestellt, wie es sein sollte (***1/2) |
| 94 | 26.02.2012 | downtown2 | 2.0 | Keineswegs eine gute Veranstaltung, aber das waren auch sehr viele glorifizierte Events der originalen ECW nicht, die im Vergleich jedoch viel besser wegkommen, gar verehrt werden. Der Opener war zumindest ansehnlich, was bei einem kleineren PPV auf jeden Fall reichen muss, um wenigstens die Einstufung mangelhaft zu erhalten, denn dadurch war es schlicht kein Totalausfall. Die Midcard Matches waren danach tatsächlich völliger Quatsch, wofür es keine Punkte geben dürfte. Der ME war ebenfalls eine Enttäuschung, für machen Wrestler wie CM Punk oder Van Dam wohl ebenfalls eine grausige Erfahrung, aber stellenweise ertragbar anzusehen. Unter dem Strich alles andere als eine Show die man gesehen haben sollte, wenn dem aber so ist, mindestens die Bewertung im Verhältnis sehen. |

Nach dem starken, aber zu langen Opener, der nichts mit der ECW zu tun hatte, kam bis zum Mainer nur noch Müll. Bei diesem war die Krönung, dass der aufstrebende Wrestler CM Punk als Erster ausschied. Big Show, als angeschlagener Champ, kam als Letzter rein und verlor deshalb das Match in kürzester Zeit. Paul Heyman durfte kurz danach seine Koffer packen und Vince hatte seinen Sündenbock. Der Kader war viel zu schwach, um einen PPV zu veranstalten. Dazu passte es, dass er glücklicherweise nach etwas mehr als 2 Stunden endete. Dies ahnten schon viele Fans, die dafür sorgten, dass die Buyrate so niedrig ausfiel, wie lange nicht mehr. Die Show anzusehen, ist verschwendete Zeit! |

Das ME war zwar in Ordnung aber als PPV ME unwürdig und auch in der Reihe der E-C Matche geht das Match unter **1/2. Alles in Allem einer der schlechtesten PPVs aller Zeiten und eine Frechheit für den zahlenden Kunden. |

MNM und die Hardys erinnern ein wenig an die gute alte Tag Team Division zwischen 1999 und 2001. Leider grenzt das, was nach diesem Tag Team Match kommt schon sehr nahe an Körperverletzung. Balls Mahoney gegen Striker? Sylverster Terkay auf einer PPV Card? Thorn und Knox, zwei Heels werden unmotiviert in ein Mixed Tag Team Match gegeinander gesteckt? Also bitte - die Matches waren damit nicht nur schlecht, sondern auch noch vollkommen belanglos! Dreamer gegen Daivari mit dem Ansatz einer Story sticht da ja fast schon positiv hervor (und wenn man das über einen Kampf von Daivari und Dreamer mit der Beteiligung von Khali sagt, verdeutlicht dies schon die Qualität des Events). Auch der Sandman kann nicht wirklich die Stimmung anheben, hat er ohne sein altbekanntes Entrance Theme und die verrückten Fans aus Philly den Glanz alter Tage gänzlich verloren. Der Main Event hebt die Qualität wieder ein wenig an (was nach dem Desaster zuvor aber nicht sonderlich schwer ist), ist aber weder spannend noch wirklich gut. Test und Hardcore Holly sind nicht over, werden also als Main Eventer nicht akzeptiert und wirken völlig deplaziert. RVD und Punk ziehen zwar Reaktionen, werden aber völlig unspektakulär im Match eingesetzt. Bleiben nur noch Lashley und The Big Show. Während letztere sichtlich mit einer Verletzung zu kämpfen hatte und daher alles andere |
