415.02.2024Jakob Ingold0.0Unequivocally and undeniably the worst wrestling show of all time. Nothing was even close to being OK, it was an embarrassment to the wrestlers and lacked all the energy of a typical JCW show. Every wrestler really felt like they were doing this for the easiest payday pf their lives, and I honestly still don't think any amount of money would be worth that embarrassment.

715.06.2023JamesHarro0.0Oh dear this show was awful from start to finish there was no redeeming qualities. Most matches sucked beyond beliefe but the standout was Backlund v Patera for me an easy -5 stars nothing happened most other matches for me below 0 stars honestly this may have been worst than Heroes of Wrestling. Greg Valentine v Tito Santana -1.75, Battle Royal -1, Rock 'n' Roll Express v Midnight Express -1, 7 Way DUD, Backlund v Patera -5, 5-Way -2.25, Tracy Smothers v Tommy Rich -1.5, Nash & X-Pac v New Age Outlaws -2, Orton and Piper v Funk and Foley -3.5.

913.11.2022DWhite930.0This was a terrible as everyone said it would be. Everyone looked like they wanted to be somewhere else this night. The combined age of everyone on this show is 2300! Snuka was the oldest performer at 68 while the youngest was Gowen at 28! The only highlight is the commentary. Don't watch this show unless you want to feel miserable and depressed afterwards
1015.05.2022SayamaFan71.0Tito Santana vs. Greg Valentine: -1.5* / 15 Man Battle Royal: 1* / The Midnight Express vs. The Rock 'n' Roll Express: DUD / Seven Way Match: 1.5* / Ken Patera vs. Bob Backlund: -4* / Koko B. Ware vs. Doug Gilbert vs. Dutch Mantel vs. Austin Idol vs. Brickhouse Brown: -2* / Tracy Smothers vs. Tommy Rich: DUD / Kevin Nash & X-Pac vs. The New Age Outlaws: -1.5* / Mick Foley & Terry Funk vs. Bob Orton & Roddy Piper: -3* / Exactly as terrible as you would expect. The 1 point goes solely to Mick Foley and Kevin Gill's entertaining commentary. Mick's gimmick of talking to the wrestlers at the booth just after their match is a good one. Watching this show without the commentary would be 10x worse, I'm serious. There are no highlights whatsoever here in terms of the in-ring portion of the show. Terry Funk's promo about cat poop and horse breeding is.. entertaining? Plus the stuff he said at the end about piper while talking at the booth seemed like a shoot, either that or it was very well worked from Terry.

Apropos: Was hat Terry Funk bitte intus an diesem Abend?
1414.10.2018DanTalksRasslin2.0JCW's legends show certainly had a respectful tone toward wrestling's past, and there were some fun ideas behind some of the matches - an ECW reunion match, a Memphis reunion match, an NWO vs DX "dream match, " etc. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot to most of the action, as the age and conditions of many of the competitors kept many of the matches extremely short and basic. The battle royal was kind of fun, and the ECW seven-way match was a brief taste of classic hardcore mayhem (but, with its four-minute runtime, had too many participants to really be anything great). Nash & X-Pac vs New Age Outlaws was probably the best standard match of the night, but didn't really rise up to its "dream match" billing. On the positive side, the commentary from Kevin Gill and Mick Foley was pretty entertaining. It's not "Heroes of Wrestling" bad, but there's ultimately not much to recommend here - these types of "legends" events always seem to work better on paper than in practice.
1519.12.2017IsThisWrestling1.0This show was Heroes Of Wrestling levels of bad, but I'd imagine that was somewhat anticipated going into it, but I think this was even somehow worse than expectations. Obviously The Gathering is a party atmosphere so it's not surprising to see some drunk wrestlers, but there are a staggering amount of very fucked up wrestlers on this show. A drunk Terry Funk cuts the weirdest promo of his career. Every finish to every match was bad. The only enjoying aspect of this show is the sheer absurdity of it all. It can be fun to watch if you enjoy bad wrestling, but if you want to see legends reliving their glory years, this is a HORRIBLE start.

2331.08.2011HHH Pedigree0.0Legends & Icons was a terrible PPV, the worst PPV that I ever see. OK, the legends are legends, but c'mon, they didn't try to wrestle. The battle Royal was the worst Battle Royal ever, they never move a muscle.
