Starts off with a forgettable tag match, Kane and Carlito looked good, Big Show and Masters not that much (5/10) MITB 2 was a fun car crash a notch below the first edition but still super fun (8/10) JBL VS benoit is a pretty solid stiff match but with a pretty deflating finish (6/10) Edge VS Foley on the other hand is an all time classic with one of the most iconic finishes and probably my favorite (10/10) Booker T/Boogeyman is mercyfully short, but awful anyways. The pre match hallway segment is kinda funny though (2/10) Mickie/Trish is not amazing but at least they gave the womens title a storyline and more than 5 minutes to work with (5/10) Taker/Henry is a really boring match that is thankfully not as bad as early Taker matches since but not good anyways, love that Dive over the coffin (4/10) Shawn/Vince drags a bit in points but is a super fun wild brawl (8/10) The WHC match is a breakneck sprint thats super entertaining (8/10). The Playboy match is one of the most skippable things on manie history (1/10) and the main Event is not bad but slightly dissapointing work, So weird hearing the crowd rooting for Triple H but thats what 2006 Cena does I guess (6/10) |

Le match de Cena et Triple H est aussi grandiose, tous le reste vaux le coup, les themes song, les scènes backsatge bref a voir ABSOLUMENT ! |

Not an essential 'Mania but a good time. |

The opener and closer were hardly good but the crowd were very hot throughout, even if they booed Rey for some stupid reason but fair play for hating Cena in the main event. Everything else was fine and not a drag so yeah, this show ends up pretty damn good overall. |

J.R. pitches a blinder in that one though, he goes completely nuclear. Everything else on this show is either boring or bad. Not a terrible watch, but definitely the worst "Ruthless Aggression" Wrestlemania. |

Edge vs. Foley was incredible however, an amazing match that you absolutely have to watch if you are a wrestling fan. The Two on One match kinda sucked, but nobody expected much from it and it didn? t go on for too long. James vs. Trish was pretty good, but not a great match and one that certainly isn? t the best match either of these two would have in their careers. The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry was pretty bad, but no-one really thought it would be good in the first place, and it was another win for the Streak, so it has historical value. Shawn Michaels vs. Vince McMahon was so much better than it had any right to be and was a great hardcore match, but not the best gimmick match of the night. The World Heavyweight Title Triple Threat Match was good, but nothing special, but Rey got his chance to shine, which was well deserved. The Pillow Fight was a waste of time and just padding before the two big title matches. And the main event was a very good match, that didn? t overstay its welcome and was very fun to watch. |

Die Card ist ziemlich voll, sodass man da schon den ein oder anderen Müll wie z. B das Handicap match mit dem Boogeyman oder auch der Playboy Pilow Figth, dabei hat. Auch Taker gegen Henry überzeugt mich nicht, was meiner Meinung nach überwiegend an Henry liegt. Der Opener geht grad noch so klar und das US Title Match ist auch höchstens Mittelmaß. Das wars aber so gut wie im negativen Bereich - die zwei Mainer sind absolut ansehbar, der Co Mainer hat blos ein kleines Zeitproblem und im Mainer steht da meiner Meinung nach der falsche Sieger, im Ring ist das aber wirklich gut. HBK gegen McMahon erfüllt seinen Zweck - nämlich die Rache des HBK. Bleibt noch die positive Überraschung des Damen Titelmatches, mit einer stark aufgelegten Mickie James. Das MITB Ladder Match und das Hardcore Match sind klar die Showstealer, wobei erstes nicht ganz an das Vorjahr herankommt. Zu Foley gegen Edge - das ist eine reine Hardcoreschlacht mit einem erinnerungswürdigen Match - klares MOTN. Ich wurde eigentlich durchgehend unterhalten, aber wie angesprochen ist da eben auch viel Mittelmaß und teilweise Müll dabei, weshalb ich bei 6 Zähler stehen bleibe, dennoch geht die Show natürlich völlig in Ordnung. |

Das MITB Match hätte für mich allerdings eher der Opener sein sollte. Jeder hat hier seine Spots, man hat die Story mit Flair und einige Situationen, in denen der Koffer fast abgehangen wird. Nicht das aller spektakulärste Laddermatch aber unterhaltsam und spannend. JBL gegen Benoit danach lebt natürlich von der Eddie Guerrero Story, die anständig umgesetzt wird. Dann kommt das MOTN. Ein richtig gutes Hardcore Match, in dem nicht nur alles ausgepackt wird, was im Mainstream geht sondern auch eine gute Geschichte um den alles gebenden Foley erzählt wird, der am Ende doch verliert. Das Two on One Handicap Match inklusive des Segments davor ist natürlich etwas albern aber als Comedy relief durchaus gut platziert. Das Women´s Title Match ist in Ordnung mit schockierendem Ausgang. Undertaker gegen Henry reiht sich in diesen etwas ruhigeren Teil der Card ein. Ist auch in Ordnung aber nichts Besonderes. Dann nimmt dieses Wrestlemania wieder Fahrt auf. Beginnend mit Michaels gegen McMahon, was natürlich overbooked ist, aber von der Story her gut gemacht, dass Michaels nicht nur alles überkommt sondern auch völlig durchdreht, was im Leiterspot mündet. Das World Heavyweight Title Match ist ein netter Sprint mit Spannung durch einige Nearfalls und dem Upset Victory für Mysterio und damit verbundenem Fell Good Moment. Der Playboy Pillow Fight muss das Lowlight des Abends sein, da ich einfach diese Art der Darstellung von Frauen im Wrestling nicht schätze, allerdings war es besser als befürchtet, da es dann doch einige Wrestlingmoves beinhaltete. Das ME lebte sehr von der Stimmung aber auch von der Schlussphase, wobei ich das Finish gut gemacht fand. Insgesamt ein Wrestlemania mit einem herausstechenden Match, vier gutem, einem Lowlight und vielem was halt solide war. Insgesamt eine durch und durch gute Veranstaltung und daher 8 Punkte. |

Der Opener ist nicht schlecht und Big Show und Kane können ihren Tag Team Title dominant verteidigen. Das MITB Ladder Match ist sehr stark und das wichtige Spotfest auf der Card. Das Teilnehmerfeld ist schon schwächer als im Vorjahr, aber dennoch gut mit RVD, Lashley, Finlay, Flair, Benjamin und Hardy, wo jedoch schon einige eher zweitklassige Wrestler dabei sind. RVD ist jedoch die richtige Wahl als Sieger. JBL vs Benoit um den US Title ist wenig spannend und leider gewinnt JBL hier den Titel. Edge vs Mick Foley ist das klare MOTN. Das Hardcore Match hat unfassbar starke Spots und beide holen das beste raus, was man in einem solchen Match machen kann. Unglaublich genial was Foley hier nochmal zeigt und besonders der Spot mit dem brennenden Tisch ist absolut legendär. Danach besiegt der Boogeyman im Handicap Match Booker T und Sharmell, was natürlich schlecht ist, besonders weil aus dem Boogeyman eh nie etwas wurde und man Booker T hier nur dumm dargestellt hat. Mickie James vs Trish Stratus ist durchaus gut und das vielleicht bis dato beste Women's Match bei Mania, das auch endlich mal Zeit bekommt. Die Fehde der beiden war gut und James kann hier gewinnen und bekommt einen sehr starken und verdienten Push. Undertaker vs Mark Henry ist wenig interessant, auch nicht durch die Stipulation. Eines der schwächeren Streak Matches. Michaels vs Vince ist nicht schlecht und Michaels holt hier vieles raus, sodass es besser ist als z. B. Vince vs Hogan. Das Threeway danach ist gut, aber leider viel zu kurz und hätte der ME sein sollen. Rey ist der Underdog und wirklich over, aber kann hier nur so unbedeutend in einem viel zu kurzen Match seinen Titel gewinnen. Der Moment mit Chavo und Vicky danach war aber schön. Das Match danach ist absoluter Trash und Cena vs HHH ist schwach und zu unrecht der ME. Besonders wenn Cena schon damals zurecht als Face ausgebuht wurde. Rey hätte im ME stehen müssen. |
