We get some good matches and then we get some underwhelming or flat out bad matches on this show. We get 3 great matches but everything else ranges from bad to decent and the whole show has a quality control issue and the 1st half was better than the second half and the main event. It is such a weird historical anomaly that it is worth watching for that alone. The first half is considerably stronger than the second half which is a bit of a slog at times. The main event is a shoot style contest. A few of the matches I could not track down. |

Almost everybody on this card is a legend of some description and most of the matches deliver what you would expect from such talent. It's a good crowd overall (although the fancam I viewed of Wright/Benoit had the most annoying, obnoxious & unfunny fan of all time constantly yelling all over it - fuck that guy) who seem to be familiar with most, if not all of the talent on the show. I did not get to see Pittman/KGB or Saito/Luger unfortunately but everything I did see ranged from decent to great. The best stuff overall was probably the lucha stuff; the Misterio tag is just brilliant, great Casas/Saito sprint, the Silver King and the Parka tags are both tons of fun. You also get a great women's tag, Liger/Sasuke and a nice little shooty main. Would recommend to any fan of 90's wrestling. |

| 7 | 05.02.2017 | Fountain of Misinformation | 7.0 | Hier muss man die professionelle Aufnahme mit den Fan-Aufnahmen (es gibt zwei) kombinieren um die ganze Show zu sehen, weil die reinen WCW-Matches bei der zuerstgenannten Aufnahme fehlen, vermutlich aufgrund irgendwelcher Exklusiv-Vermarkungsrechte. Aber zur Sache: Eine abwechslungsreiche Show durch den Mix der US-Amerikaner, Japaner und Mexikaner. Wright gegen Benoit war das erste Highlight des Abend, das Match mit Ultimo Dragon und Rey Misterio Jr. sollte man gesehen haben. Den Kampf mit Dos Caras, Atlantis, Dr. Wagner Jr. und Co. fand ich auch super, auch wenn El Gran Markus Jr. hier irgendwie "unnötigen Ballast" im Match dargestellte und nicht so richtig mitgehen konnte. La Parka und Aguayo gegen Pierroth Jr. und Cibernetico war der erste und einzige richtige "Ausfall" der Show. Bis auf Cibernetico, der hier nicht reingepasst hat, waren alle total von der Rolle und zusammen mit den Comedy-Elementen ergab das ein mieses Match. Liger gegen Great Sasuke war bemerkenswert gut. Alle anderen Matches waren gut bis okay, sogar das kurze Sting gegen The Giant-Match wusste zu gefallen. Taktarov gegen Severn war nach ihren beiden UFC-Kämpfen natürlich ein heißes Match-Up und auch Fujiwara und vor allem Inoki (Inoki-Chants vor dem Match! ) scheinen hier nicht unbekannt gewesen zu sein. Leider gab es Taktarov gegen Inoki nur sehr kurz und das Match endet etwas abrupt und auch zu früh. Generell aber eine sehr coole Show. |
