A solid Hogan match, a nice squash for Ted Dibiase against Blue Blazer, and the match of the night between The Brainbusters and The Rockers. Red Rooster throws all the momentum he had from splitting from Bobby Heenan immediately with this episode, and his match against Brooklyn Brawler was my least favourite part of the show. Bobby Heenan himself was great on this show; I was even looking forward to the main event originally after a Heenan interview introducing the Brawler. |

This could have been good, but it broke down into chaos before it could get going. Next, we got Hulk hogan vs. Bad News Brown. Somehow, despite the odds, this was entertaining. Next, Ted DiBiase took on the Blue Blazer in a short match that was less of a squash than I expected. We then had the Brain Busters and the Rockers in a match that was even better than it looked on paper. The only downside was the double count out finish, but that's to be expected on Saturday Night's Main Event. Finally, in an exercise in pointlessness, the Red Rooster defeated the Brooklyn Brawler. |

The show starts off with rude vs beefer, this match is not very good and the bit with andre, jake and stud was not good either (2/10). Bad news vs hogan was a fine hogan match hurt by the finish (and also that bit with brown waking away to get a shovel), still not the worst (3.5/10). Then ted faced owen in a match that could have been very good had own been postioned higer up the card. It was very good as jober matches go tho (5/10). Then liz makes he choice as to whos cornor she is going to be in and she picks nither man. Good that means we get to see less of her. Arn&tully vs the formly midnight rockers, This match is very good wich shold come as a shock to none tho the finish and the limeted time dose bring it down a bit (7.5/10). Then we get to see roster vs brawler. I dont know why we needed this but ok (2/10). For the mvp its a choice btween the 4 man in the tag match and im gona pick arn. |

Even the Beefcake/Rude match was fine, and we got a cool visual of Andre and Studd face to face afterward too! I think this one is the best of the series, actually. |

| 14 | 17.03.2021 | Sebastian V | 7.0 | Der Opener ist in meinen Augen als Storymatch echt solide und auch vom Wrestlerischen her nicht verkehrt. Die Story um Andre und Jake Roberts finde ich durchaus interessant, wobei ich eine andere Story noch interessanter finde welche auch den roten Faden der Episode darstellt nämlich die um Miss Elizabeth und die Mega Powers. Das Segment ist durchaus überraschend und von allen Beteiligten gut geschauspielert. Zuvor begleitet Elizabeth aber Hogan noch zum Ring zu seinem Match gegen Bad News Brown, welches besser war als ich erwartet hatte. Es stellte einen anständigen Brawl dar, bei welchem zunächst Brown dominierte aber schließlich dann doch Hogan gewinnen konnte. DiBiase gegen den Blue Blazer ist ähnlich wie später der ME zwar ein Storymatch, wobei ich dieses hier besser und für die Kürze der knapp 4 Minuten auch handwerklich echt nicht schlecht fand. Das MOTN war das der Brain Busters gegen die Rockers. Der Double Count Out ist immer ein umstrittenes Finish aber hier fand ich es gar nicht so schlecht und das Match selbst war ein typisches, mehr als anständiges Tag Team Match der damaligen Zeit mit technischem Heelwork und dynamischem Underdogfacework. Insgesamt war das mit dem Aufbau für das Wrestemania ME im Mittelpunkt und noch einem mehr als anständigen, einem anständigen und einem soliden Match trotz der anderen kürzeren Matches eine in sich runde, unterhaltsame, klassische Weeklyshow, welche in meinen Augen 7 Punkte verdient. |

Hogan/Savage drama is over like crazy and I can't help but get swept up in it. Only match I didn't like was Rude/Beefcake but even there I liked the post match stuff. |

Trotzdem werden einige Storys (Roberts-Andre-Studd) gut weitergeführt. HH gegen Bad News ist jetzt nichts dolles. Geht sowieso eher darum für wenn sich Liz entscheidet. Aus heutiger Sicht war es ja klar das sie sich irgendwann HH anschließen würde. Face/Face Kombi. Zudem wollte man sein Standing bei der Crowd verbessern. DiBiase gegen Blayzer war trotz der Kürze gut. Das TT Match zw. den Busters und den Rockers endet leider im Chaos. Trotzdem auch ein gutes Match. Dann eine mehr als peinliche Promo vom Roster. Dann darf er sich noch vor WM den Brawler vorknöpfen. |

Zunächst ist da aber erst einmal ein stimmungsvolles Match zwischen Beefcake und Rude, welches doch etwas unübersichtlich endet, als Andre, Roberts und Studd ihre Auftritte haben. Bad News Brown unterliegt per unvermeidlichem Legdrop Of Doom - und Liz scheint sich entschieden zu haben, nämlich für keinen von Beiden (eine der ganz wenigen Momente in ihrer WWF Karriere, in welcher sie wirklich REDET). DiBiase gegen einen motivierten Owen Hart ist kurz knackig - und der Kandier darf als Blue Blazer stellenweise auch nett Paroli bieten. Es folgt ein gutes Match der Rockers gegen die Brain Busters - eines aus einer langen Serie der beiden Teams, heute ohne Gewinner und dennoch klar MOTN. Vor dem Mainer gibt es ein Interview mit Terry Taylor. Fazit: 'I am no nobody, I am somebody. I am the Red Rooster' - und dann kräht er wie ein Hahn. Doppel-Facepalm. Immerhin kann er den Brooklyn Brawler in wenigen Sekunden bezwingen, ohne jedoch Bobby Heenan in die Hände zu bekommen. Eine stürmische Show, nicht immer überzeugend, aber stellenweise wirklich stark. |

Das DQ Finish am Ende hat mich überhaupt nicht gestört , denn durch die Eingriffe von Andre The Giant , Big John Studd und Jake Roberts , wurde die Story von Andre und Jake fortgesetzt (8/10). Hulk Hogan gegen Bad News Brown fand ich überraschend gut. Die Crowd war sehr gut dabei und vor allem als Bad News Brown das Match dominierte war es echt gut (8/10). Das Match zwischen Ted Dibiase und dem Blue Blazer (Owen Hart) fand ich sehr gut. Owen Hart zeigt hier sehr gute High-Flying Aktionen , während Dibiase mit sehr schönem Selling überzeugt (8/10). Die darauffolgende Promo mit Randy Savage , Hulk Hogan und Miss Elizabeth fand ich ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Teg Team Match zwischen den Brain Busters und The Rockers war ein gutes und sehr Temporeiches Match (8/10). Das letzte Match ( wenn man es überhaupt ein Match nennen darf ) ist nicht der Rede wert. Insgesamt eine gute Veranstaltung, mit guten Matches und sehr guten Promos. |
