508.09.2022XXDoubleHHXX10.02 weeks of awesome wrestling and not annoying storylines, maybe it's the lack of Dungeon of Doom but I'm loving it. WCW knows what they're doing with Benoit and Guerrero, Alex Wright and Regal are moving on slowly but they're getting more slowly.

816.04.2022arrancar5.0Not without low points, but probably the best Nitro thus far due to its record of TWO genuinely decent/good matches! Benoit vs Wright was quite a good little opener. Standard great, no-nonsense aggression from Benoit, and nice agility and high-flying from Wright. The unhinged Pillman was very entertaining with his heel work on the outside, too. Good pacing of the action, and strong chemistry all throughout. A shame this didn't get longer. ***. Eddie vs Regal was really good for its time, and the best Nitro match in months. Regal was great with his gritty grappling and physical striking, plus his subtle yet wonderfully slimy and villainous heel work. Eddie was mostly dominated but still got to show off his impressive agility and high-flying. Both men bumped and sold very well for each other. A thoroughly enjoyable 8 minutes. ***1/4. Sting and Luger's interview with Mean Gene saw Sting finally question Luger about costing him his title shot at Starrcade. Luger's total BS excuse for preventing Sting breaking the 10-count by explaining he injured his knee and was simply "reaching out" to Sting for assistance was pretty funny for how stupidly deceitful it was. A shame Luger's promo delivery wasn't more natural. Sting remained a dumb, oblivious babyface by taking Luger at his word and then agreeing to officially tag with him. Sting vs DDP wasn't too interesting but still okay. Sting had decent energy in the opening, but a leapfrog botch placed DDP in control, allowing him to show off his decent arrogant heel work. Sting's comeback was again energetic but still pretty generic in terms of athleticism and physicality. **1/4. Hogan & Savage vs Arn & Flair had 3 of WCW's biggest stars and 1 of WCW's best workers, so it should have been good at the very least. Sadly, one of those stars was Hulk Hogan. Hogan's usual routine of being booked extremely dominantly (making his opponents look like jokes in the process) and constantly appealing to the crowd with his cheesy babyface work was very off-putting. Savage's offence wasn't much better or more creative than Hogan's, but at least he didn't make Flair and Arn look incompetent like Hogan was doing so successfully, plus I believe Savage's arm was still IRL injured at this point, so he was probably limited in what he could do. Flair and Arn were always good whenever they were in control, with enjoyably impactful attacks and entertaining heel tactics. Arn, Flair, and Savage produced some enjoyable exchanges of varying styles, and Savage was naturally a much more sympathetic babyface than Hogan because he actually sold somewhat decently. Hogan stunk things up again as he got his hot tag, no-sold a bunch, and hit his lame signature moves for the win. This was decent whenever Hogan wasn't involved, but just forgettable overall. **1/4. The Giant's post-match attack was a sad reminder that the Dungeon of Doom still exists, but at least Hogan was cathartically laid out.

1305.01.2021Johnny Takeover7.0Sehr ordentliche Nitro-Ausgabe.
1503.10.2020CallsRevenge7.0Really good little show, pretty much all the action holds up today. Guerrero vs. Regal is a really solid match, told the story it needed two, and both guys obviously ridiculously talented even back then. Tag team main event was nothing spectacular, but all 4 guys are masters at working the crowd. Only negatives would really be Sting and Luger's dull promo in the middle of the show, and the fact that Steve McMichael was on commentary. He's not overly terrible, but Schiavone and Heenan were solid enough that it was distracting.
1617.11.2019Mizzle Assault Ant9.0Great episode, Benoit/Wright and Guerrero/Regal were both great quick hit TV matches and the main event was super fun, even with Hogan's act being tired at this point it was still quite good.

2429.01.2017jackleone8.0This episode works fine, there are three strong matches and an acceptable one (Sting vs DDP). The show does not have anything really important but it entertains with good Wrestling in the first two matches and the top stars in the main event. Also, Lex Luger and Sting have a nice 'it is okay between us' moment. More of a 7. 5 than a full 8.

2729.07.2015Shentenza8.0Eine großartige Nitro-Show, out of nowhwere!
