[4.0] "A decent episode but one on the weaker side of what I've seen. The Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan pairing was iconic. Adrian Adonis gets my MVP award for having to work George Steele and making the match not completely unwatchable. King Kong Bundy vs Tony Atlas was my favourite match on this show while Tony Parisi vs Steve Lombardi was my least. The Andre the Giant vs Alexis Smirnoff flashback match was fun to see; Bobby Heenan swearing Andre would never be seen again would be fun. I found the pairing of SD Jones and Paul Roma to be interesting."

[4.0] "It was the previous week 'The Brain' started to deem himself the true host; he's no longer a king of cool reserve as those anxious mannerisms and tongue-twisting oft flummoxes belie the Heenan I fondly remember. Matches were in this order: Adonis/Steele: Unlike today in which I easily spot oodles of make-up on men, not many in the 80s had to spend loads of time applying base/rouge/mascara/eye-liner, the works. And AA's hair was also pressed to resemble an Avon saleslady. It's a G Steele match so the entertainment factor depended on the opponent's willingness to sell & bump hard. GS had AA taping-out from his 'flying hammerlock' submission but the ref was knocked down from an 'inadvertent' AA back elbow. AA rolls-up GS when the latter was trying to awaken the ref and is instead pinned. Eh end, ok match. 2 Parisi/Lombardy: Is this all-Italian match-up a favor for Morella? These guys look too-much alike. Steve-o may have been a good boy for Mr. Patterson, but at this point his pro-wres arsenal (ie his lariat/long restholds) is poor. TP won w/ his 'Cannonball, ' 2nd rope sit-down splash from the SE. 1 3/4 Resnick interviews an inebriated Muraco/Fuji. From TNT J Roberts showed-off his snake collection; never has a man & animal been better matched. Hercules-Gibbs/Rougeau's: I was never excited to get me some Herc, but I will offer that here he approached this contest w/ the instincts of an entertainer willing to provide levity despite his overblown roided physique & character. Jacq pinned the psychopathic-looking TG after a 2nd SW rope missle dropkick. 2 1/4 Resnick w/ Billy Jack - here, too muted and modest for his own good. 2 Squashes from '84 w/ the Mdogs & Andre knocking-off the Vachon lookalike A Smirnoff. 1 from '86 w/ P Roma & SD Jones tagging w/ the former getting a powerslam pin. Bundy/Atlas: A little long but w/ decent heat and TA had his moments but KKB reversed an Irish whip SW->NE, Avalanche, elbow and the 3, not 5-count, pin. 2 1/4"
