[5.0] "This show was fine. This was a little better than the last one. I wouldn't really recommend this show if it wasn't for the buildup to WrestleMania 3 done here. Anytime Macho Man speaks it is a highlight on this show. The battle royal is the best match on the show. I wasn't into Ricky Steamboat vs Iron Sheik being a match. We get match two in a row for the trilogy of terrible from Savage and Steel on this show; it's not very good, but at least it's short, and has an interesting gimmick with Liz in a neutral corner."

[6.0] "This event led up to Wrestlemania 3 rather well, having the first in-ring confrontation of Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant during the excellent battle royal. Randy Savage and George Steele shockingly had a decent short match. Jake and Bundy wasn't very good, but the tag match was decent thanks to Tito Santana. Steambot and Sheik was filler, but Randy Savage talking shit on on commentary was fun."

So the battel royal happend and it was mostly there to set up andre v hogan abd it was ok at that. No clue why hecules won but k (5/10) Bunddy faced jake in a match that was ditrmend to waste our time (2.5/10) The tag match was a a thing that hapend(i think). (4/10) And last but somehow not least the main even was just borimg bad (3/10) Overall this show is a low 3 an the 2nd worst snme behide the 1st one. Mvp was hogan for some good work on the mic and binge ok in the br (twas slim pickings)"

Hercules even got the victory here which made for a pretty good night for the Heenan Family! Maybe Hercs biggest singles victory amongst the ppv/SNME era. There was some usual junk filler here but it's one of the better SNME's. Maybe in the top 5 they put on."

Insgesamt ausreichend.

Also really liked Savage and Steele, they are always great fun together, and the tag title match was very solid as well. Strong build to a strong Wrestlemania, just a very short while later!"

ME war dann wieder kurz gehalten. Steamboat darf den Sheik besiegen. War richtig so."

[6.0] "This was the last major TV event prior to WMIII; I thought the company and especially the production did a good job of promoting the casual fan's desire to see Hogan upend this monumental 'undefeated streak' of this nasty looking Giant. Nasty, as the credits montage ended with this ugly scowl on the freak's face as he so easily tossed the beloved champion out-of-the-ring like he was yesterday's garbage. So now it's Hogan revenge time. The booking within the match was keen as well - it was a Battle Royal, H just threw Orndorff, his previous nemesis, out-of-the-ring, turned right around into A... it wasn't as if Hogan lost a mano-a-mano... it was just bad timing. By now the fans of early '87 had seen H vanquish every other challenger/heel, it's only natural that for this third of Wrestlemanias he would take-on this gigantic challenge. Overall, a good use of B Royal here as it also served to create two other matches for the Silverdome: Butch/Koko, Hercules (biggest win of his career? )/Billy Jack. In other action, the Hart's and their D Davis gimmick, Roberts/Bundy was there, and at house shows during this brief bit of time, to get Jake over as a face... why else script him to DDT (bald heads are tought to grip... eh Jake? ) the stock oversized villain? For the umpteenth time ntl TV played the same Savage-Steele schtick, a Piper tribute... but who stole the show? That would be L Poffo who took a wicked headbutt from Andre and was hardway busted open so bad he was stretchered out. 5. 5"

The tag team match has a great team and one acceptable but a terrible end. The main event is one sided. Okay but the hype is all on Wrestlemania."

Ansonsten - solide Show."
