Aber immerhin liefern die drei entscheidenden Matches gut ab. Bishamons erste Titelverteidigung nach dem Titelgewinn bei Wrestle Kingdom war gelungen und Goto & YOSHI-HASHI sind ein funktionierendes Babyface-Team, das man den Erfolg gönnt. Bei Zack-Ishii ist mir erst kurz nach der ersten Ringglocke wieder eingefallen, dass es sich hierbei ja um ein auf 15 Minuten beschränktes Match handelt, was mich direkt gefreut hat. Die beiden liefern dann auch einen fantastischen Sprint ab, der trotz der relativ kurzen Ringzeit alles beinhaltete, was es brauchte, um es zu einem denkwürdigen Zack- und Ishii-Match zu machen. Hiromu-YOH im Main Event war dann ein längerer Sprint. Sicherlich war es eines der besten Matches von YOH als Singles Wrestler. Am Ende schien er etwas erschöpft zu sein und lässt Red Shoes bei einem sehr schwachen Kickout nicht so gut aussehen. Aber er schafft es ins Ziel und hat trotz Niederlage einen echten Main Event Moment kreiert, was Shota Umino mit Tetsuya Naito in der Show am Abend zuvor nicht geschafft hat. Insgesamt eine gelungene Show. Wenn man die Undercard Tag Matches weglässt, ist es sogar eine richtig gute. |

Die wichtigen Matches werden weiter aufgebaut und Fehden werden fortgesetzt. Das IWGP Tag Team Championship Match stand dann genau an der selben Stelle wie das IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championship Match am Tag davor und das hier hat mir sogar noch besser gefallen, als das Jr. Tag Team Championship Match. TMDK (In Gestalt von Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls) gefallen mir immer gut und mit ihnen macht man einfach nix falsch. Das Bishamon hier verteidigt war aber zu erwarten und das war ein einfach gutes Tag Team Match (****1/4). Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Tomohiro Ishii war auch ein zu erwartendes, Stiffes Wrestling Match. ZSJ verteidigt seinen NJPW World TV Championship was auch vollkommen inordnung ist (****1/4). Main Event dann ein wirklich gutes IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship Match. Auch wenn ich von YOH als Singles Wrestler, nicht wirklich angetan bin, macht er seine Sache hier im Match gegen Takahashi wirklich sehr gut. Beide haben eine Gute Chemie miteinander, aber jedem war klar das Hiromu Takahashi hier als Sieger das Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center verlassen wird (****3/4 + MOTN). Insgesamt war es genau, die gleiche Show wie am Tag zuvor. Nur die letzten 3 Matches waren halt mal wieder interessant und wirklich anschaulich. Auch hier 6 Punkte. |

Das Tag Team Title Match war ordentlich aber schon deutlich schwächer als das Jr. Title Match. Zack vs. Ishii war dann recht gut, wie erwartet und durch das Zeitlimit von 15 Minuten kann man in die Schlussphase nochmal eine neue Dynamik reinbringen. Der Main Event ist ebenfalls gut und mir hat hier YOH ziemlich gut gefallen. Er hat deutlich mehr Charakter gezeigt, als sonst. |

IWGP Tag Team Title Match: TMDK looked great against Bishamon back and forth encounter, Bishamon proved why their the best tag team in NJPW right now (****), NJPW World Television Title Match: Great Match, Ishii looked great against ZSJ (***3/4), IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match: What a match, YOH took it to Takahashi, but ultimately Takahashi proved why he's the best junior Heavyweight in the divison (*****1/2) |

TMDK and Bishamon had a solid tag match, Bishamon are really coming into their own as a team and TMDK are generally solid, but the result was never in doubt which did kind of hurt it. The two singles title matches both were great, and well worth checking out. The 29 minutes for the main event just flew by, and the hot crowd (who were really getting behind YOH) gave it that little extra edge that has been missing in pandemic-era New Japan. |

Much like yesterday, it ran almost four hours but was an enjoyable experience that flew by. The undercard got in final build for February 11th and wrapped up the feuds that culminated yesterday. On the marquee card, Bishamon & TMDK had a banger as they look to get the IWGP Tag Titles back on track after FTRs bad run. Ishii Vs ZSJ had my heart pounding, great match and the TV Title division is going to be a highlight of NJPW this year for sure. And then in the main event, Hiromu Takahashi and YOH clashed for the billionth time and as always, they had a good match and the Jr Title is getting back on track after Taiji's bad reign. Nice show. |
