An unfortunate announcement but an unfortunate announcement made with good delivery. I really didn't care to see a sub one-minute squash take place in a tiny window while a promo took up most of the screen."

[5.0] "This was ok but not as good as most AEW episodes for me, mostly because I didn't get into Lucha Bros vs. Bucks. The crowd loved it so I get it, just not my kind of match. I did like the women's match though and Team Taz looked amazing."

[7.0] "A good episode of Rampage. Its a shame that the episode went from 100 to 0 instead of the other way around. The Young Bucks v. Lucha Bros. was an absolute classic, and the Athena v. Hogan match was good too, but the last match was lacking compared to what it should've been. It's a terrible shame to see that CM Punk is injured and will be sidelined as a world champ, best wishes to him. 7/10 episode"

Due to the injury and such a surprise, it seems to me that the company could not build everything correctly and there were problems with time. The announcements for next week and the match for an important title were cut off and this is bad. Time is categorically short, but that's how it turned out. Otherwise, a great show with wrestling, fan energy and drama. Like!"

[8.0] "Very close to being a great episode, it was really only Keira Hogan letting the side down from a wrestling point of view. More serious was the commentary team's confused response to Punk's promo, and not bothering to call the final match due to talking about the interim title stuff. Also, Punk should have been stripped of the belt if he's going to be out long enough for an interim title to be necessary - this isn't a midcard belt that should be defended every couple of weeks. While some of the issues with AEW storytelling recently have been forced, they're doing a poor job with a few things, and this is another one. It didn't cause major problems for the episode, but they're storing issues up for later."

Poor CM Punk as he just got that title. Dante Martin made that match with Scorpio Sky decent, as Scorpio seemed injured and he sucks as TNT Champion anyway. Poor Hangman is not booked in that Battle Royal, LOL. I HOPE TO GOD that Adam Cole does not win that damn Battle Royal."

CM Punk? s promo legitimately was too vague, and they had to clarify later on in the main event that a new Interim Title was being held, something that could have been avoided if Punk clarified in his promo. Main event was just an alright match as well, really should? ve been the opener maining. Still not a bad show at all though as it was only an hour long."

[7.0] "The Young Bucks VS The Lucha Brothers: One of the best Rampage matches I've seen, as expected from this great Tag Teams, what a great showing of athleticism and wrestling. There were some new in their arsenal that were very interesting to watch, and a very cruel end that add the final cherry to the cake, awesome match. [*****]; Jordan Cruz & Ju Dizz VS Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks: Squach match that had too many botches in just one minute. They really need to keep working really hard in their performance. Even that, adequate to keep improving the tag division. [**]; Athena VS Kiera Hogan: Meh, I really don't feel this was an adequate debut for Athena. It was adequate, she looked strong since the second half of the match, and clearly make all her work to begin to pull her rivalry with Jade. The problem here was Kiera, not really selling her moves, and also botching a lot of her technique. Adequate match that had must to be better. [**]; The House of Black with a new member, let's hope this bring them new and grest things in the near future; Since Punk began to enter to the ring, this looked like really pretty bad news. Pretty emotional promo, I really felt the pain and felt so sorry for Punk. I hope him to recover pretty quickly and stronger than ever. The future for the AEW champisonship looks uncertain now. The probability of going on again to Moxley or Daniel Bryan are pretty credible, so let's see what decision AEW makes; Scorpio Sky VS Dante Martin: Some inicial promo to give some hype to this match, that really helped to put extra emotion to it. And the match responded well to that introduction, mainly thanks to Dante, who put all his skills to put over the champ. Scorpio still doesn't convice me as champion, but maybe this could really help him to improve, not as wrestler, 'cause he is fantastic, but as a champion. Satisfactory match. [***]; Satisfactory show that had some very high ups and really low downs, but as an overall grade, it was nice to watch, a really enojyable hour of wrestling. [***1/2]"

[7.0] "Going to be real generous here with the 7, owed almost entirely to yet another classic Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros. match. Two of the four best tag teams in the world just putting on a clinic. I'll give some props to Athena vs. Kiera Hogan. Decent little match, Athena's gear was cool, Hogan's ass was cooler, decent progression for the TBS title. Team Taz squash was pointless, the dudes need wins over name teams and there wasn't even a post-match angle. The biggest problem though was everything regarding Punk and the world title. Really clumsy promo from Punk leading to Jericho claiming he'd relinquished the title multiple times before Excaliber frantically and confusingly tried to explain that he was still champ and there'd be an interim championship decided by a battle royal followed by a #1 contenders match followed by a match with (presumably? ) Tana at Forbidden Door, which all distracted from the main event TNT title match. Everything about this sucked hard, just baffling incompetence at the worst possible moment. AEW's certainly not boring right now. But it's starting to make me nervous."

Everything else was kinda meh. Athena and Kiera didn't work that well together and Scorpio/Dante was surprisingly dull. I think Sky might've hurt himself in the match - which would be tragically bad luck for AEW right after the Punk injury."
