Die meisten Matches sind zwar nach wie vor nicht gut aufgebaut, man hat aber alles so gut es ging nochmal gehyped. Ohne Zweifel das Highlight der Show war das Steel Cage Match, das auch im Main Event stehen muss. Der eigentliche Main Event war ein hartes, anständiges Match, muss man aber auch nicht gesehen haben. Jericho ist noch unterhaltsam, genauso das Debüt von O-Khan, CM Punk und Adam Page holt mich nicht ab. Einzig die Damen, und zwar sowohl das Halbfinale als auch Thunder Rosa sind Lowlights. Insgesamt eine anständige Go-Home, aber verglichen mit dem, was AEW schon in der Vergangenheit gebracht hat wäre hier noch viel Luft nach oben. |

Der Opener war dann ein richtig gutes Storymatch, dass da wenig Wrestling vorhanden war, ist hier absolut Wurst, darum ging es ja gar nicht. Backstage zeigt Jericho seine Zauberkräfte und wirft nem Backstage Arbeiter nen Feuerball ins Gesicht, herrlich blöd, ich hab herzlich gelacht. Das Promoduell zwischen Punk und Hangman war fantastisch, auch wenn man mittlerweile weiß, dass das ganze wohl zu persönlich wurde. Das Hypevideo für Ana Jay vs. Cargill war dann ganz nett, aber zu wenig um wirklich als Aufbau zu gelten. Kingston/Mox vs. Private Party war dann in okay, interessanter war das Hin und Her zwischen Jericho und Regal am Kommentatorenpult. Der Brawl nach dem Match war nett, aber diese Formel nutzt sich einfach ab. Das Hypevideo für das Owen Hart Tournament war dann super. FTR vs, Roppongi Vice hat mich dann auf solidem Niveau dann doch etwas enttäuscht, dann gab es schon wieder ein Handgemenge im Aftermath. Schön, das Jeff Cobb da ist, aber muss es immer die selbe Formel sein? Immerhin gabs mal ein DQ Finish, wenn auch mau umgesetzt. Die Hardys halten dann eine recht gute Promo. Das Three Way Match war ne gute Sache, wer hier gewinnt war relativ egal. Und wieder wurde sich geprügelt nach dem Match. Schiavone interviewt Thunder Rosa auf der Bühne, die Dame ist einfach mies am Mikro und unterbietet noch Deebs schwache Promo der Vorwoche. Immerhin hat man wirklich versucht ne Story aufzubauen. Da war das Backstage Interview mit Red Velvet und Soho deutlich besser, wenn auch nichts besonderes. Baker vs. Storm war dann wirklich unangenehm anzusehen, was war da denn los? Da hat wirklich kaum was gestimmt. Das mögen nicht die besten Wrestlerinnen der Welt sein, aber besser als das sind sie alle mal. Tat schon ein bisschen weh. Da war der Main Event um Längen besser. So ist die Show in der Summe dann doch noch gerade so gut, obwohl es Abseits der Matches doch das ein oder andere schwache Segment gab und dazu noch ein schlechtes Damenmatch. |

| 9 | 15.05.2023 | Telecine | 5.0 | Ich fand diese Ausgabe von Dynamite nicht uneingeschränkt gut. Das Cage Match hätte man auf wesentlich kreativere Weise gestalten können. Wie cool wäre es zum Beispiel gewesen, wenn Wardlow Shawn Spears so dermaßen fertig gemacht hätte, dass MJF fast gezwungen gewesen wäre, den Three Count zu zählen, um Spears weitere Qualen zu ersparen. Stattdessen zeigt man mit einem Ref Bump ziemlich viel Klischee-Wrestling. Zudem dann auch noch mit einem ungeschützten Chairshot. Man muss sich irgendwann die Frage stellen, wie weit zurück in der Zeit AEW noch reisen will. Nachdem die Bladejobs schon ihre glorreiche Rückkehr gefeiert haben, sind nun anscheinend auch solche Chairshots zurück. Das Segment zwischen Punk und Hangman Page war gut, wobei ich unsicher bin, worüber Page hier gesprochen hat als er von Punks Unterstützung für Arbeiterrechte spricht, aber man kann AEW mittlerweile wirklich kaum noch folgen, ohne jeder Story auf Reddit oder Twitter gefolgt zu sein. Das Match zwischen Storm und Baker fand ich OK, aber stimme nicht so ganz damit überein, wieder Baker ins Finale zu pushen. Auch die Frauen-Division braucht mal einen neuen Star und das Match zwischen Baker und wem auch immer ist im Finale keine wirklich spannende Paarung. Das Main Event zwischen Joe und O'Reilly war dann gut. Dass Joe und Cole beim PPV first time ever ist, war mir gar nicht klar. Sicherlich wird das Match sehr gut. Überraschend war das DQ Finish im ROH Tag Title Match, aber der Run-In von Cobb und O-Khan macht das vielleicht wieder gut. Leider botchen die beiden gleich mal ihren ersten Double Team Move, aber naja, sowas passiert eben mal. |

Quasi die Kopie der Cody Storyline und das entscheidene Match wieder im Steel Cage. MJF als Referee macht natürlich viel aus und so attackiert er Wardlow direkt. Das Match ging dann ein wenig hin und her bis Spears aus Versehen MJF mit dem Stuhl ausschaltet. Gut gelöst und schön die Story weitergeführt. Insgesamt mehr Angle als Match aber sehr unterhaltsam. Das Tag Team Match darauf fand ich ganz gut. Schönes TV Match. Das ROH Tag Team Titel Match war auch richtig gut. Das Ende war natürlich etwas doof, aber für den Aufbau von Forbidden Door war das ok. Schön Cobb wieder zu sehen. Great OKhan machte auch einen gute Eindruck. Gut gemacht alles. Mein MOTN ist dann der Three Way. Der war richtig stark. Alle 3 können glänzen und ihre Stärken gut ausspielen. Da freut man sich doch auf den Tag Team Three Way. Im ersten Halbfinale des Owen Hart Turniers gab es ein schwaches Match zwischen Baker und Storm. Baker wird für mich mittlerweile wirklich zu einem Problem der Division, da sie im Ring leider so gar nicht mehr abliefert. Storm läßt sich davon auch runterziehen und so kommt dann dieses Match dabei raus. Schade. Der Main Event war dann aber nochmal ganz gut. Ordentliches Match zwischen Joe und KOR. Hat mir gefallen. Gerne wieder. |

Also alles das was man schon gesehen hat nur mit einer anderen Stipulation. Das Wardlow natürlich auch das Match hier gewinnt war natürlich klar. Das Face-Off zwischen CM Punk und Adam Page war sehr stark und gut gemacht. Hyped mich extremst auf ihr World Championship Match bei Double Or Nothing. Auch bei Eddie Kingston + Jon Moxley vs. Private Party, geht's mal wieder natürlich um den Aufbau zu Double Or Nothing. Natürlich beschäftigt sich die gesamte Episode mit Double Or Nothing. Nach dem Tag Team Match, bricht dann ein großer Brawl zwischen den beiden Teams aus die beim "Anarchy In The Arena" Match mit involviert sind aus, der mich wirklich sehr auf das Match Hyped. FTR vs. Roppongi Vice, war dann bis zum Eingriff des United Empires, ein wirklich gutes Tag Team Title Match. Mit dem Eingriff, grade vom United Empire, hätte ich wirklich überhaupt nicht mit gerechnet. Fand ich aber dann sehr sehr Gut, grade zum Aufbau des 1 Monatigen Späteren "Forbidden Door" PPV's in Gemeinsamkeit mit New Japan Pro Wrestling. Das Three Way Match zwischen Jungle Boy, Swerve Strickland und Ricky Starks war sehr Gut. Ganz klar das Match of the Night dieser Dynamite Episode (****). Auch hier hyped es mich wieder extremst auf Double Or Nothing. Das schafft AEW wirklich immer wieder, mich auf Ihre PPV's gut einzustimmen. Toni Storm vs. Britt Baker war dann absolut garnix und Britt Baker Qualifiziert sich halt einfach für das Finale des Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament. Mehr nicht. Samoa Joe vs. Kyle O'Reilly im Main Event war dann tatsächlich meiner Meinung nach nicht so gut. Wirkte an manchen Stellen einfach sehr Schleppend und zog halt wirklich erst in der Finish Phase wirklich an (***1/4). Insgesamt eine Solide Dynamite Episode in Richtung Double Or Nothing. |

Hangman-Punk face-to-face was good as well, real impassioned promo from Hangman which was subtle in its messaging but got across to me at least that he sees Punk as a fake bitch who's come in to take the top spot from the workers of the new generation who built AEW, who plays nice but is ultimately all about himself. After that? Ehhhhhhhhhhhh... Eddie & Mox predictably beat up Private Party in a pseudo-squash before a brawl with JAS. I'll be real: I hate JAS but not in the way they want me to. I just think the group and the idea sucks and it's a bummer BCC have to deal with them. FTR vs. Roppongi Vice was pretty great until the no contest and no, I don't think a Great O-Khan botch was worth ruining FTR's likely only match of what's effectively AEW's Mania week. Three-way match was good, definitely the bright spot of the second half of the show and got me excited for the tag title match this weekend. The Owen semifinals... yeesh. Britt goes over Toni in a clunker and her little group is at this point way too close to House of Torture vibes right now. Same dumb sketch finishes over and over and her work is just not good right now. She's been top of the card since day one in AEW and this was a good opportunity for fresh blood in Toni, but they blew it. Awful match and awful booking. The men's semifinal fared a bit better but Joe is just noticably slow at this point. Kyle more or less carried a decent match that led to a Joe win which means Joe vs. Cole in the finals. The AEW story between the two is practically nonexistent and going O'Reilly vs. Cole and Joe vs. Lethal in a non-tournament match at the PPV would've made leagues more sense, but again, rough booking. I love AEW. I really do. But the build for this DON has been rough and this, by and large, didn't make it any smoother. |

What followed those great opening segments were three uninteresting, heatless matches, which is a shame as I like some of the wrestlers involved in those matches. Then came the shitshow between Toni Storm and Britt Baker that culminated in me having no interest whatsoever in the women's Owen Cup final. The main event was a good match but by the time it started I'd completely lost interest. Outside of the ring there was some brief Jericho wizardry that was entertaining, a brief Jade/Anna Jay hype package that was just there, a brief backstage segment with Red Velvet and Ruby where Red showed charisma and finally, a thunder Rosa promo that was her best promo to date, but calling it good would be a stretch and they started playing her music before she'd finished. So, outside of Wardlow vs MJF and Punk vs Page this episode didn't do a good job of hyping the PPV for me, in fact, with Baker winning I'm now looking forward to it less. My big hope is that Miro returns in some capacity and puts a rocket up AEW, he has been badly missed. |

Wie kann man nur so einen Müll booken, mit so einem grotten schlechten Darsteller wie Wardlow. Der Typ kann nichts im Ring und auch nichts am Mic. Jetzt ist er nicht nur Goldberg 3.0, sondern auch noch der Berufscousin 2.0 aus der WWE in einer Person. Superwardlow zerreißt die Handschellen, dass ist Booking zum fremdschämen. Im Segment zwischen Page und Punk wurde krampfhaft versucht irgendeine "Heat" zu erzeugen, dass hat auch nicht wirklich funktioniert. Das erscheinen von Cobb hat mich jetzt auch nicht vom Hocker gerißen. Das Three Way Match war dann das erste Highlight der Show. Sehr ordentliches Match. Danach kam allerdings der nächste Schlag ins Zuschauer Gemächt. Sowas als Co-Mainer anzubieten ist schon fast eine Frechheit. Der Mainer selbst konnte letztendlich doch wieder etwas versöhnen. Fazit: Magere Ausgabe mit wenigen Highlights und zwei völligen Tiefpunkten die einfach nur Panne sind. |

Hangman & Punk had a really intense face-off that shelved the full version of Hangman becoming a rebel here. Moxley & Kingston had a nice sparring match while FTR vs. RPG Vice was a great seat-edge thriller with an intriguing finish. The three way gave a fantastic preview of the Tag Title match ahead of Sunday as all three men stole the show in a sensational sprint. Thunder Rosa brought back the fire she hid so far with a packed promo while Storm vs. Baker was underwhelmingly decent. The main event was a great physical war between two absolute gems of wrestlers & Joe winning brings to what's ought to be a great final showdown between him and Cole. This episode had all the tools of a "go-home show" and served its purpose almost perfect and we still have little of the hype left on Rampage and the week of Double or Nothing is getting its final mould in a fascinating way. 8.5 out of 10 points! |

I like the men's part of the tournament in honor of Owen Hart more than the women's, as the girls mostly did not impress me, unfortunately. Adam Page read out a great promo in the face of Punk and I'm charged for their match, it's worth praising Adam for the work done. Chris Jericho is now a wizard, it's really funny and original, it's clear who they're making fun of. Samoa Joe is in the final and it's really unexpected, I wonder what they will show with Adam Cole on ppv. A great show where the pros overlap the cons with a vengeance. |

They just met expectations, pretty much. I liked the show and was always going to buy DoN no matter what, but this didn't make me ~more~ hyped to buy it. |

Wardlow und MJF machen das gut, wenngleich Spears als Gatekeeper natürlich einfach eine Lachnummer ist. Punk vs. Page war unterhaltsam und hat durchaus Wege geöffnet, u.a. auch einen Heel-Turn Punks. Damit ist es aber auch die einzige Paarung, bei der mich der Ausgang wirklich interessiert. Die Titelmatches Damen werden via Promo-Video (Jay vs. Cargill, 47 Sekunden) und abgehackter On-Stage-Promo (Rosa vs. Deeb, 2:57) aufgebaut. Das ist dünn. Das einzige Damen-Match des Tages war zudem noch das Lowlight, wobei ich das Booking daber eher okay finde, da Toni Storm mittlerweile beweist, dass sie nicht ins obere Regal der Damen gehört. Match #2 war auch einfach nur da und war der Rahmen für Regal/Jericho-Kommentare und ein eher überschaubares Aftermath ohne Heat. Das schlimmste Aftermath des Tages liefern aber die NJPW-Gesandten mit ihrem komplett verbotchten Auftritt. Lowlight der Show. Auch Post-Match-Heat #2 liefert dann den nächsten Beleg für das sinnentleerte Heel-Booking. Three Way-Match ohne DQ und Hobbs greift erst ein, nachdem sein Kollege gepinnt wurde. Ehrenmann, aber so viel Quatsch ist eigentlich nur noch nervig, besonders mit der Vehemenz, wie solche Segmente ihren Weg in die Show finden. Absolut lahm und mau für die Heels. Die Turniere haben eine Relevanz-Problem und so war das gepriesene Doppel-Main Event kein Hit und Joe pumpt hier und da ganz schön. Da bin ich gespannt, was er beim PPV liefern kann. Als Show war das okay, da die erste halbe Stunde durchaus funktioniert hat und auch das Main Event einiges richtig macht. Dazwischen blieb nicht so viel, außer man steht auf Spotfests oder ein paar kurze Promo-Segmente und "Nicht-Interviews". |
| 72 | 26.05.2022 | Wishmaster | 6.0 | Die Go-Home Dynamite Ausgabe war leider nicht so der erhoffte Bringer. Geradezu wenn dies auch noch das groß angekündigte 3 Year Anniversary war. Das Three Way Match & Joe vs. O'Reilly waren gute Matches aber Rest war ein wenig belanglos und Britt Baker vs. Storm war eine Enttäuschung auf Grund Baker's Abbau im Ring und der Entscheidung sie ins Finale einziehen zu lassen. Und jetzt fällt mir gerade auf, dass sowohl Cole als auch Baker im Finale stehen und somit beide das Ding wahrscheinlich gewinnen. Storytechnisch vielleicht ganz interessant aber doch sehr auffällig. Auf das Match Hangman vs. Punk freue ich mich aber der Aufbau dahin ist irgendwie strange & fast schon geheimnisvoll. Warum ist Hangman so hasserfüllt gegen Punk? Es kommt mir so vor, dass da noch mehr kommt weil irgendwie will ich da eine plausible Erklärung (hat ja Page selbst gesagt, dass er eine Pipe-Bomb gegen Punk machen will aber er sich fürchtet, dass dies Konsequenzen für ihn haben wird). Der Rest war ein solider Aufbau für den PPV mit einer kleinen Überraschung durch den Run-In von Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb im ROH-Tag Title Match. Die letzten beiden Wochen waren bedeutend besser aber dennoch bin ich auf DoN gehypt. |

Spears and Wardlow opened the show up with a very good match, not sure it really needed the cage stipulation honestly but it was good for a watch, Wardlow is over as hell and has great potential and momentum right now. Punk and Hangman's promo was very odd, Hangman had moments of greatness especially in his aggression but also felt like there was no reason for him to be aggressive, and it was also brought down by Punk who just kept saying repeatedly that it wasn't personal as if he had no real investment in the match. Mox and Eddie beat Private Party and then a brawl insued between BCC and JAS, fine segment that was more about the post-match but worth a watch for Regal calling 2.0 tosspots on commentary. Roppongi Vice and FTR had a serviceable match, obviously both could do better and I hope they get the chance to retry down the road, again this was more about United Empire coming down to ruin the match which was cool and surprised me quite a bit, looking forward to seeing where it goes (probably Forbidden Door). Rosa cut probably the best promo of her run so far, making up for Deeb's intriguing but flat efforts last week in my opinion, and the match will be strong I imagine. Starks, Swerve and Jungle Boy's triple threat was very entertaining, love all these guys and they went at a quick pace to help build to what I feel will be a very good match. Britt and Toni had a pretty rubbish match honestly, clunky and with a terrible weak looking finish, unnecessary relatively useless interference and just generally not great charisma or an off-night for both, heavily disappointing. Finally, O'Reilly and Samoa Joe had a great match together with what I felt was the wrong winner, really haven't agreed with a lot of the booking of these tournaments so far. Overall a good show, could have been better though. Match Ratings: Spears vs. Wardlow - 7/10, Mox & Eddie vs. Private Party - 6/10, Roppongi Vice vs. FTR - 6/10, Starks vs. Swerve vs. Jungle Boy - 7/10, Britt vs. Toni - 3/10, O'Reilly vs. Joe - 7/10. |

The high points were the opening cage match which was perfectly booked, and Hangman's promo on Punk, which clearly laid out why he needs to retain the title - and setting up the possibility for either man to turn heel. |

Der Matchausgang ist für mich nach wie vor offen. Bei Wardlow/MJF sieht es ähnlich aus. Konsequenter und guter Aufbau. Hier macht vieles Sinn und von Beginn an der Fehde war ein klares Ziel zu erkennen. Überraschend der Ausgang bei Baker vs. Storm für mich. Ich war fest davon überzeugt, dass man es mit Storm durchzieht bis zum Finale. Jeff Cobb und The Great O-Khan tauchen übrraschend bei Dynamite auf. Mit einem Forbidden Door Aufbau hab ich erst nach DoN gerechnet. Kyle vs. Joe war ein gutes Match. Joe vs. Cole klingt namhaft als Finale im Owen Cup. MOTN war das 3-Way. Swerve ist so gut. Lee sieht fitter aus und zeigt auch wieder vermehrt Dives. Gute letzte Dynamite Ausgabe vor Double or Nothing. |
