Schöner Start in die Show. Das Backstage Segment mit Josh Alexander und Frau war okay, erhöht den Hype für den Main Event aber nicht. Nach einem ordentlichen Hypevideo für das AAA Reina de Reinas Title geht es auch sofort zum Match. Das war passabel, hab aber gerade von Valkyrie etwas mehr erwartet. Backstage gibt es ein Interview mit Tasha Steelz, hat mich nur halbwegs überzeugt und hyped zumindest ein bisschen das später kommende Titelmatch. Das X-Division Title Three Way Match war richtig stark. 3 fantastische Wrestler hauen sich in 10 Minuten alles um die Ohren, herrlich. Dann gibt es ne nette Backstage Promo von Honor No More.

The other bouts delivered, even if I've skipped the one for the Tag titles, no way I would have watched an almost 35-minute bout whose rating is barely above average."

[8.0] "Attended live. The main event was fantastic stuff; a great match with Alexander winning the big one to blow off what had been a hot feud with Moose. Both three-way matches were very good too, both featuring unpredictable results as well as good action. Ishii vs. JONAH was interesting as a battle of "immovable object vs. even more immovable object" (and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to see Ishii live), and on the pre-show Edwards vs. Bey was a really solid opener. Purrazzo vs. Valkyrie was fine but not as strong as one would hope, while the other women's matches were average but well-placed to serve as cool-downs. The tag gauntlet was the only real letdown, as it went on too long for its own good, but might have been better if not placed after several hot matches. My first Impact live event since before the name change (I believe my last was the One Night Only: #Old School show, still under the TNA banner), and it didn't disappoint."

[5.0] "Honestly this top to bottom was almost terrible. With the exception of the fantastic main event no other match felt even slightly important. Many people think Impact's recent turn to being something like a super-indy is good, but to me it just lost what made it special. Impact was the company that balanced WWE-like Sports Entertainment with Indie-like X Division spotfests. Now it's ROH 2.0. Thankfully Josh Alexander & Moose saved this from being a total trainwreck, delivering an amazing main event full of emotions and rich in its storytelling."

[7.0] "Some good stuff, a few disappointments, and the feeling that once again an Impact PPV lost some steam somewhere around the 3/4 mark. Impact may over-do it a bit with the three-ways but you can count on them to deliver more often than not. I liked both of those, with the X-Division match being a very entertaining spot-fest of a sprint. Things weren't so interesting for me after that until the main event which I did like as well. There was one issue I noticed throughout most of this show and that was that the mics around the ring were picking up the communication fairly often, more than you would usually hear. Something like that is unfortunate and not the fault of the wrestlers but I do think it affects a match. On the plus side, I learned how "Poughkeepsie" is pronounced. Faults aside, I do think this show is worthwhile if you're an Impact fan and follow the stories. Otherwise, I'd say cherry-pick the main event and the two three-ways."

Ishii vs Jonah slapped and the three way X-division title match was high octane fun. Everything else was just there though. I'd love to see Impact offer a greater standard across the board."

[7.0] "A fun show overall. The X Division Three Way was MOTN with the opener coming in second. Josh winning back the belt was a great moment to close off the show, the rest of undercard was between decent and good but not as remarkable, still an enjoyable night"

[7.0] "The popcorn is finished and I was satisfied with the result. The personal confrontation between Moose and Josh Alexander ended in a good match, maybe not as epic as I expected, but still cool and tough, which we like. Ace Austin stole the show with his victory and in general, the match itself turned out to be mega cool for me, Impact X-Division is now in perfect order. Such fighters will not let the division get bored. Taya Valkyrie stopped the hegemony of Deonna Purrazzo and left her with only one title, welcome back.Steve Maclin looked brutal with makeup, I hope he will always paint his face like that in important matches. Tomohiro Ishii always raises the mood as a guest, already in the USA his visit turned out to be more successful than last time. As a result, there were weak matches on the show, but I don't want to discuss them. I'll just say that the show turned out to be great for recreation."

[9.0] "The main show opened with a great three way that cemented Maclin as one of the possible prospects of the X-Division or possibly on the World Title scene. Deonna vs. Taya was a pretty good physical bout that entertained the crowd well with good amount of action. The X-Division title match was a rad sprint which reminded of the classic X-Division matches - short time spent with scintillating action. All three done their work exceptionally. Mike Bailey, in particular, stole the show with his performance while Austin & Miguel did their usual work. Austin winning opens up a new set of challenges which might begin with Bailey. Ishii vs. JONAH was an enjoyable dog fight as billed where both men dominated each other with a winner of right choice. The tag title challenge heavily relied on one section of it i.e. Swann & Mack vs. Good Brothers while the other sections were decent at best. The Knockouts title match unfortunately became a cooldown match which maintained the rough start of Tasha as the champion. The main event was a great textbook match which had all the elements of a long-term rivalry. Moose did a fantastic work as a heel bringing the best out of Josh and putting him over as the new mainstay of Impact. Had the pacing and the selling longevity been a bit polished, the match could've been even more outstanding. The show had more ups than downs and made the whole show exceptional in overall. 8.5 out of 10 points!"

[10.0] "What an Incredible Show! All the matches ranged from Good - Great. The standouts were the opening triple threat match between White, Maclin & Sabin(with a big win for Maclin, beating 2 former World Champions), the X-Division Championship Match & my pick for MOTN, Moose vs. Josh Alexander! Just an amazing match, with great storytelling by both guys & a very hot crowd(who were hot all night, but nowhere moreso, than in the main event), as well as a great ending! So glad to see Josh Alexander finally cement his place as "The Face of Impact Wrestling"! Guy's been killing it the last year+, and he's earned every accolade he's gotten. Impact continues to knock it out of the park on their PPVs! Once again, just an Incredible overall show!"

[9.0] "Impact is quietly have a very good year so far and Rebellion built off the impressive run of PPVs and specials from previous months. An outstanding main event, one of the best in recent memory for Impact, rightly cementing Josh Alexander as the standard bearer of the company. Two very good triple threats, an entertainnig strong style match and a really satisfying AAA Reina de Reinas match. The tag team gauntlet started well but lost steam. Disagree with the decision not to elevate the OGK, instead having the boring Rhino/Heath team getting to the last two. VBD retaining was an alright outcome but the Briscoes couldn't return sooner (they were working the GCW show last night so couldn't be here). The KO title match was fine but was clearly a cool down match. It's time to pull the trigger on Masha Slamovich and maybe add Jordynne Grace back into the title hunt. All in all I came out feeling more than satisfied. I thought Hard To Kill was great, this was even better. Worth every penny ordering this!"

[9.0] "The highs were the highest, with Ace Austin stealing the show against a red-hot Speedball and awesome champ Trey Miguel, and of course the crowning of Josh Alexander as the Ace of Impact Wrestling. I think I'm not alone in hoping that this is the start of a Bret Hart-type run where Alexander takes on all comers from all over but remains himself while wrestling any style. His son coming out in his mini gear was too cute, and his wife has done so much heavy lifting in the build up, along with Moose, who's been an excellent obsessive creep (over the title, not the wife). The lows were long as opposed to low; the tag gauntlet went too long and the Knockouts match suffered following it, but that's all I can really complain about. Like usual, Impact's quarterly PPVs are an easy watch that more often than not gives you a real great moment, this one being Josh Alexander: Impact's Ace."
