[7.0] "Even though there is a lack of length to most of these matches, this is actually a really fun Clash, and a relatively easy watch. The highlight of this Clash is absolutely the surprise return of Ricky Steamboat, and his tag match with Dustin Rhodes vs The Enforcers. My least favourite part of this show was Z-Man vs Diamond Studd; only going 1:24 it was pretty much a waste of time that could've gone somewhere else. I will also say that I really didn't like Firebreaker Chip on this show either; I haven't liked The Patriots team. I liked how many titles were defended on this show."

[7.0] "The Steamboat/Rhodes Vs. Enforcers match alone was well worth your time But also, the Sting/Luger/Madusa segment was iconic, so this was one of the more memorable clashes in quite a while. Steiner and Luger had a decent match and the overall program was very entertaining."

[7.0] "A good Clash with one must-see match in the awesome Dustin/Steamboat vs. Arn/Larry Z Tag Title match. The Luger-R. Steiner main event was also pretty good, the Sting story that was ongoing throughout the show got the crowd hot and was good build in the rivalry with Rude, and we see the early formation of what would become the Dangerous Alliance. The undercard matches were also mostly pretty solid as short TV matches go, with Big Josh vs Tommy Rich standing out, and it's kind of funny in retrospect to see Austin give up so much offense to PN News. A solid watch."

[8.0] "A very solid Clash, easily the best one they did all year. The storyline with Sting/Luger and whether Sting could make it to the arena on time to defend his US Belt is thrilling. Also throw in Ricky Steamboat's awesome return in a great tag team match that had the crowd popping throughout."

[6.0] "Pretty good Clash here, easily the best one in FOREVER. Sure, the typical skippable WCW Clash squashes were still present, and seeing Steve Austin get absolutely dominated by PN News for 99.9% of the match (Austin did like 5 or 6 moves, if that) didn't exactly set the world on fire either, but otherwise it was pretty good. The World Tag Team Title match was easily one of the best wrestling matches of that year, and a pretty damn great moment to boot. The whole storyline between Sting/Rude was very interesting as well, and the main-event (while not as good as the matches just mentioned), was pretty solid as well. Good show."

[7.0] "Thought this was a very good show, carried by the fantastic tag title match and the brilliant US title change. The rest was your average Clash squashes, but Austin/PN was pretty enjoyable for the time given. The main event was underwhelming."

[5.0] "Eher mäßige Show: Lumberjack-Matches stehen eigentlich nie für gute Matches, aber wenigstens passt es hier zum Gimmick von Big Josh, ansonsten eher durchschnittlich (*3/4). Eaton/Chip ist halt auch nur da, ohne Eaton wäre es wohl noch schlimmer geworden (*1/2). Z-Man/Studd hätte schneller vorbei sein müssen, dann hätte das wenigstens Hall was gebracht, aber so war das sinnlos und schlecht (-). Mit Austin/News wird die Card dann langsam besser, wenn auch hier weiterhin auf Standard-Niveau, auch von der Zeit her haben beide keine Chance ein gutes Match zu zeigen (**). Cactus/Hammer auf ähnlichem Niveau, Foley seh ich ja immer ganz gerne mal zu der Zeit, aber Hammer ist echt grausam, hier aber immer ein passendes Match der beiden (**). World TT Match mit Abstand das Match des Abends und eigentlich auch das einzige gute Match, schöne Überraschung mit Steamboat, grundsolide Heelwork und gute Publikumsreaktionen dazu (***1/2). Von Pillman/Badd hätte ich mir mehr erwartet, aber auch hier wird wieder die mangelnde Zeit eine große Rolle spielen, wenige gute Aktionen im Match, irgendwas fehlt mir hier einfach (**), immerhin das Nachspiel mit Long ist interessant. Sting/Rude ist das Match mit dem größten Fokus der Show, Sting musste hier verlieren, um Rude nicht komplett dämlich aussehen zu lassen, trotz dessen und auch der hier wieder knappen Zeit legen beide doch ein nettes Match hin, was Stings Verletzung immer wieder gut in Szene setzt und trotzdem nicht zu einseitig rüberkommt (**1/2). Heavyweight Title Match startet sehr langsam, was aber unter den gegebenen Bedingungen auch Sinn macht (TV Time als Time Limit), trotzdem dauert das ganze etwas zu lange, bis es wirklich in Fahrt kommt und dann ist es auch sehr schnell überladen durch die ganzen Eingriffe, macht zwar im Hinblick auf die entstehende Dangerous Alliance auch Sinn, ist dann aber doch zu schnell vorbei (**1/2)"

[6.0] "1. Josh darf im Opener Rich besiegen. (1 1/2*) 2. Beautiful Bobby gegen Firebreaker Chip war eine Spur besser als der Opener. (2 1/4*) 3. Austin gegen PN News war jetzt nichts besonderes. (1 1/2*) 4. Cactus Jack gegen Van Hammer auf ähnlichem Niveau des Openers. (1 3/4*) 5. TT Championship Match war dann das MotN. (3 3/4*) 6. Pillman gegen B. Bad war in Ordnung. Hätte aber ruhig etwas länger gehen können. 7. Ähnliches trifft auf das US Championship Match zu. Aber die ganze Geschichte um das Match wertet es doch noch auf. Diese zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch den ganzen Abend. 8. ME war okay. Rick Steiner konnte ich sowieso nicht als WHC vorstellen."

[7.0] "I like the main event, Lex Luger vs Rick Steiner, another opportunity for something different. Sting vs Rude was a heated feud, it was build perfectly. The tag team match for the titles is a great match. The rest are short matches, Austin vs PN News was particularly bad. It's easy to see Cactus Jack improvements from his early appearances."

[9.0] "I thought this event was great! Fantastic tag team match, really good main event, and a super hot US title match (even if Sting's selling was atrocious! ). The rest of the card is solid too, even when you wouldn't expect it to be, Austin & Foley showed early brilliance by pulling pretty decent work out of guys like PN News and Van Hammer. Just a load of fun to watch, I really enjoyed it."

[7.0] "Das Lumberjack-Match ist grundsolide (6/10). Beautiful Bobby holt selbst aus einem mäßig talentierten Worker noch ein ordentliches Match heraus (6/10). Der Diamond Studd muss sogar gegen den Z-Man jobben (o. W. ). Auch das TV-Title-Match kommt über Mittelmaß nicht hinaus (6/10). Der ganz brauchbare Brawl zwischen Cactus Jack und Van Hammer bietet eine willkommene Abwechslung (6/10). An das gut inszenierte Comeback von Ricky Steamboat schließt sich ein fantastisches Match an, das die Crowd so richtig zum Kochen bringt (11/10). Auch Flyin Brian und Johnny B. Badd zeigen ein starkes Match, wenngleich das Finish etwas missglückt (8/10). Sting wird bis zum Gehtnichtmehr geschützt, was dem Titelgewinn Rick Rudes einen sehr faden Beigeschmack beschert (5/10). Der Main Event braucht ein wenig um in die Gänge zu kommen, entwickelt sich dann aber zu einer richtigen Schlacht mit packendem Finish (9/10). Gesamt: 7, 125."
