[5.0] "Ich weiß nicht so Recht, was ich von dieser Show halten soll. Die Undercard ist zwar von den Paarungen her nichts Besonderes, hat aber einige gute Leistungen zu bieten. Dagegen sind die Paarungen im hinteren Teil der Card schon etwas Besonderes, aber sind Matches, die einen doch auf eine harte Geduldsprobe stellen. Von den letzten drei Matches hat mir keins gefallen. White-Tanahashi und auch das Ladder Match zwischen Taichi und Tama Tonga hatten ihre Momente, aber sind beide viel zu lang und fühlen sich mehr an, als hätten die Performer hier irgendwie kein Ende gefunden, fast so wie in einem Wrestlingvideospiel, wenn man seine Finisher schon dreimal gemacht hat, aber das Match immer noch weitergeht. Dass Jay White am Ende den Titel gewinnt, lässt mich auch kalt. Der Never Title war auf Tanahashi ein wenig wertvoller als sonst meistens. Auf Jay White wird er einfach nur wieder eine Film-Requisite sein, die er durch die Gegend trägt, um Heat zu erzeugen. Alles in allem fand ich diese Show nicht überzeugend. Wiegesagt, die Show hatte einzelne Momente und auch die Matches, die mich nicht überzeugt haben, hatten gute Momente, aber wenn ich an die Show zurückdenke und die Matchcard durchlese, kommen keine guten Erinnerungen mehr hoch."
[7.0] "A decent show with a solid opening tag team match . A very good Chaos/Suzuki-Gun 6 man tag match and LIJ/United Empire tag match as well. They hyped for the match with the post match with Ospreay and Shingo. ZSJ/Loa was not on the Dontaku event level and was average . The ladder match was way too long and not so good . One of the worst ladder matches I have ever seen . The main event was superb and fantastic and without a doubt MOTN . A good card mainly brought down by the GoD and Dangerous Tekkers stuff . I blame the Guerilla? s for that mainly as they are mid card at best . 7 it is for me . Putting them into a ladder match is absurd and abysmal."
[6.0] "Final three matches were the main draw of this show. ZSJ vs Tanga Loa was pretty good and the ladder match was only ok. The main event was good, although it was too long and dragged a little in my opinion."
[6.0] "Opener **1/2, Chaos/Suzuki-Gun **3/4, LIJ/UE ***, ZSJ/Tanga Loa ***1/4, Taichi/Tama **1/2, Main Event ****1/4. Double Header zum Abschluss der Dontaku Tour und wie bei den letzten großen Shows von New Japan gilt: Zaghafter Anfang, dann wurde es ein wenig besser. Zack gegen Loa hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Die Stile haben sich sehr gut ergänzt und so kamen einige schöne Sequenzen bei raus. Das Ladder Match war ein bisschen komisch: Auf der einen Seite viel zu lang, in keiner Welt darf das Ding annähernd an die halbe Stunde gehen. Auf der anderen Seite war es ein halbwegs unterhaltsamer Clusterf*ck, der doch erstaunlich wenig Längen hatte. Kein MOTY, aber auch nicht annähernd so schlecht wie beispielsweise Yano gegen Evil. Der Main Event war richtig stark, ich würde nach ein bisschen Überlegen sogar sagen, dass es das bis dato beste Match der zwei war. Ich fahr halt voll auf diesen methodischen Stil ab, weswegen mich das Match an keiner Stelle gelangweilt hat. Nach der Bearbeitung vom Bein habe ich mir jedoch gewünscht, dass das fürs Finish nochmal eine Rolle spielt und nicht einfach nur Bladerunner Ende. Finlay als erster Challenger für Jay White geht in Ordnung, bei der Background Story der zwei kommt da immer wieder unterhaltsames bei raus. Ordentliche Show, die aber mal wieder erst ab der zweiten Hälfte der Card Fahrt aufnimmt."
[6.0] "One of the weakest "big shows" in a long time. All matches were pretty much the same average quality. None of them felt special. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Jay White is worth watchning."
[6.0] "Solid show. It wasn't spectacular and wasn't all good but it produced one good match and one great match. Although the tag team matches weren't spectacular I did like the interactions of the wrestlers. Unfortunately no MOTYC although the main event was great."
[4.0] "Das übliche NJPW Mittelmaß, wiedermal die typische Undercard und dann drei Matches, von denen nur eines wirklich interessant ist. Zack Sabre Jr. gegen Tanga Loa geht um die zukünftige Möglichkeit Titelmatches zu bestreiten und man hofft fast, dass ZSJ verliert in Anbetracht dessen wie oft wir diese Paarung schon gesehen haben. Auch dass man die Fehde künstlich zieht und nun in Singles Matches ausfechtet, nur weil man sonst keine Teams hat ist einfach lame. Das gilt dann genauso für Taichi gegen Tama Tonga. Das war das typische lame NJPW Ladder Match, das hat noch nie funktioniert und funktioniert auch hier nicht, auch wenn es immerhin einen Sinn hatte, da die Iron Fingers from Hell auf dem Spiel standen. Viel zu lange und wirklich kein erwähnenswerter Spot und das in einem Laddermatch. Man versucht irgendwie Overbooking zu bringen, indem man zig Wrestler eingreifen lässt, aber auch das macht es nicht besser. Der Main Event war gut, aber nichts was man noch nie gesehen hat. Das war unnötig lang gezogen und hatte nicht die große Spannungskurve. Man wollte den typischen NJPW Main Event bringen, der hier aber vollkommen unnötig war. Keiner von beiden durfte eigentlich verlieren, White noch weniger also gewinnt er. Nach WK hätte man ihn viel wärmer halten sollen, so steht er nun in der Midcard und hat noch nicht einmal mehr den Top Gaijin Spot inne. Verschwendetes Potential, genau wie auch der Tanahashi NEVER Titelrun, mit dem man noch viel bessere Dream-Matchups hätte kreieren können."
[6.0] "Your enjoyment of this one is largely going to come down to the final three matches as the tag matches weren't anything really new, though they were as watchable and pleasant as ever with that easy-going Saturday morning wrestling kind of vibe they carry. The main event was quite good and felt like a battle but it was just a little much for me and that's what stops this from being a '7' in my view, but all in all a satisfactory enough event."
[6.0] "The tag matches were pretty solid for what they were. Nothing special but they were entertaining. Sabre vs Loa was ok but Loa is tough to get a good match out of. I really like ladder matches but Taichi vs Toma Tonga was not good. Thankfully the main event really came through, which is not a surprise. Pleasant show overall though having Tonga and Loa in singles matches dragged it some but the main even brought this back up. Bullet Club vs Tenzan, Wato, Taguchi & Yano **3/4 Chaos vs Suzuki-Gun ***1/4 LIJ vs United Empire ***1/2 Sabre vs Loa **1/2 Taichi vs Tonga **3/4 White vs Tanahashi ****1/4"
[7.0] "- Bullet Club vs good guys *** or 6. 5/10 : solid opener tag that puts Ishimori over and gives BC a win after the many losses of the tour. - CHAOS vs Suzuki-gun *** 1/4 or 7/10 : a good showcase before the Junior title match and a good war between Okada and Suzuki. - LIJ vs United Empire *** or 6. 5/10 : a good tag match cause they never disappoint, and surprising ending, I expected BUSHI eating the pin like in the 57284 matches of the tour. - ZSJ vs Tanga Loa ** or 5/10 : nor even Zack can lead to Tanga Loa working an interesting match, he has the size and strength but the rest is lacking. - Taichi vs Tama Tonga ** 3/4 or 6/10 : slightly better but too damn long, Tama is not much better than his brother and he even has less size and power, but talks very well, sadly he lacks in the rest, which is why he will never be a top player. - White vs Tanahashi **** 1/4 or 8/10 : now this was the perfect main event. A great story, another chapter on their rivalry with great leg work and selling by both, Tana almost had it but Jay is too strong (he inflicted too much damafe to Tana) and too smart (Gedo's interference), they never disappoint in their matches together, which is funny if we consider that their first one at WK 12 was considered disappointing by most. - SHOW 7/10 : a solid show with good tag team matches (which is not always the case), penalized by having Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa in singles matches. The main event is, as often in NJPW, above the 4 stars rank."
