Das bedeutet aber in keinem Falle, dass diese Fortsetzung hier eine schlechte Show ist, sondern ganz im Gegenteil. Auch hier haben wir es mit einer Ansammlung vorzeigbarer Begegnungen zu tun, von denen das Tag-Match der Damen noch den gewöhnlichsten Eindruck hinterlässt. Devlin und Escobar machen es recht anständig, aber irgendwie klickt das bei mir nicht so ganz. Gargano und Reed bringen ebenfalls eine ziemlich vorzeigbare Partie, wobei Reed bei diesem Tempo etwas unwirklich rüberkommt. Das Match zwischen Kross und Balor hingegen beschäftigt sich fast ausschliesslich mit dem Titelwechsel an sich, so dass die Qualität im Ring zwar passabel, aber auch nicht ausserordentlich ausfällt. Der Mainer hingegen ist wieder richtig gut, wenngleich auch etwas arg lang. Eine runde Show, tatsächlich etwas schwächer als am Vorabend. |

| 39 | 09.06.2021 | DarkPrince | 6.0 | Tag Zwei von NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver beginnt mit einem Auftritt von Poppy, wo ich gestehen muss das es absolut nicht meine Musik ist und es daher auch direkt weiter geschaltet hab zum Ladder Match. Das Match war leider mir etwas zu wenig. Natürlich waren schöne und gute Spots dabei, aber mir kamen alles Spots auch sehr unsicher und vorallem schlecht ausgeführt vor. Ich mag beide und sehe auch beide gerne im Ring. Aber das hier war für mich gar nix. Das Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde eingreifen war von auszugehen. NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Match war das Schlechteste Match von beiden Tagen. Schade eigentlich da alle 4 wirklich was im Ring drauf haben. Davor möchte Ich aber noch das Interview mit MSK loben, was vor dem NXT Women's Tag Team Match gewesen ist. Carter und Lee sind beide sehr unterhaltsam. Das NXT North American Championship Match dann sehr mein Ding und beide haben extrem gut miteinander gearbeitet! Bronson Reed geht trotzdem over und wird seit Monaten (Grade auch mit seinem Finisher "Tsunami") extrem gut aufgebaut. Wäre mir kein Wunder gewesen wenn er Gargano schon hier den North American Championship abgenommen hätte (****1/4). Und dann kam das 1 von 2 Matches Worauf ich mich unnormal gefreut hatte. Balor und auch Kross waren beide unglaublich gut in Shap. Beide arbeiten sehr gut miteinander im Ring. Balor Hat genau das versucht durchzusetzen was er am Anfang der Storyline zu Kross gesagt hat. Und zwar wenn er "Emotional" wird macht er Fehler, und genau das ist auch eingetroffen am Anfang des Matches. Nur leider finde Ich hätte man damit mehr spielen können. Nach der einen Situation wo Kross in den Ring Pfosten gelaufen ist war dieser Gute Match Faden wieder weg und man hat eigentlich "leider" nur ein gutes Match gesehen (****). Cole vs. O'Reilly! Unsanctioned Match! Einfach Gut! Grade wenn man ihre Vorgeschichte aus den Indy's kennt, ABER ich hatte mir viel mehr erwartet. Ach es ist sehr schwer dieses Match zu bewerten. Das ist genau so ein Match wo man "Blut" und "Härte" hätte rein bringen müssen. Hart war es keine Frage, ABER es war diese Typische WWE härte. So war es halt einfach nur sehr gut (****1/2). Insgesamt ein Solider 2. Tag von Takeover Stand & Deliver, wo ich mir aber viel mehr von erwartet hätte. |

Unfortunately, they have ran that match a few times now and they haven't had one that I thought even came close to the work between Shotzi & Ember/Dakota & Raquel. Bronson/Gargano had a good match. Great showing for Bronson between Night 1 and 2 and part of me wishes he won here if only because Lumis/Gargano continuing potentially isn't the most enticing. Kross and Balor had an interesting match and I'd say Kross's best in NXT now above the Street Fight with Escobar. I'm not the biggest Kross fan but they are clearly high on him and hopefully when the time comes, he can step up to defend. Kyle and Cole worked very hard. I don't think the match needed the runtime that it had but they did a lot to warrant a watch. Both worked very hard and I hope this is a sign for things to come with Kyle in NXT. |

It still had some typical ladder-match absurdities, but also features strong athleticism, some impressive ladder spots, and some truly impressive big-move exchanges (which made me wish that this was a normal singles match). ***1/4 - ***1/2. Moon & Shotzi vs Candice & Indi had generic 1-on-1 spots and generic multi-man spots. I didn't care for this at all. **1/2. Gargano vs Reed saw Gargano finally go back to what I best know him for: having bad matches. To be fair, I can't say Gargano was the one actually at fault here. His offence was pretty weak, but he was at least his usually athletic self, and he would have had an alright match against anyone else in this spot. Reed, however, just looked like a total amateur attempting to actively sabotage the match. He just couldn't keep up with Gargano, looking like he was moving underwater due to how slow and cautious he was, thus also making Gargano's performance look notably off-step. The match was also just too unrealistic considering Gargano was somehow dominant against a guy so much larger and stronger than him. I don't like Gargano, but he was 10x better than Reed. **1/4. Balor was Kross was the other good match on the show. It told the story of the quick and intelligent champ against the powerful but reckless challenger. Kross' acting was melodramatic, but his selling was decent, putting over Balor's arm work. Balor showed good aggression during this arm work, and I liked his arrogant displays. Kross' offence was pretty good, though at times it looked like he was obviously holding back his full power for whatever reason, leaving a few of his attacks to look a bit underwhelming. Some of their big-move trades in the second half were quite creative and really well performed, but the lack of selling held those sequences back from feeling more significant. Kross' complete dominance at the end was pretty cool but didn't fit the epic finish suitable for an NXT Title change. ***1/4. Cole vs O'Reilly had some good intensity, plus a good story coming in, but it became a pretty generic walk-and-brawl before transitioning to a try-hard epic with heaps of near falls, minimal long-term selling, and an overabundance of mindlessly "brutal" moves and spots. It still had some cool moments, but it far too often just dragged to the point of monotony. *** |

Irgendwann wurde es dann doch recht albern fand ich, vor allem, weil es nur einen lahmen Elbow gegen den Ref brauchte um diesen minutenlang auszuknocken, während absolut alles an O'Reilly abprallt. Klar, kann man komplett feiern aber mir war das dann einfach zu doof und eher zum Schmunzeln als zum mitfiebern. Ladder Match hingegen war ja ähnlich im Grunde, gefiel mit aber sehr viel besser. Frauen-Tag Title Match geskippt, da da zwei dabei waren, die ich echt nicht gerne sehe. Gargano sehr mühevoll gegen Reed und während seine Comedy Skits als Heel ganz lustig sind, bin ich kein Fan von Gargano als Heel. Reed macht sein Ding ganz gut. Gar nicht fühle ich die Nummer von Kross. Ich verstehe das Gimmick nicht, ich verstehe die Rollenverteilung nicht und dann wurde es halt für die Fehde mir zu egal. Glaub hab noch kein NXT Match von Devlin gesehen wo er so kalt und irgendwie belanglos für mich rüber kam. Warum rennt Kross jetzt eigentlich mit Lenden-Schurz rum? Mir fehlte hier leider einfach komplett der Zugang muss ich gestehen. |

Zum einen nicht so kompakt wie Tag 1 (was besonders beim Main Event geschadet hat), zum anderen Matchqualitativ auch eine Stufe schwächer. Fängt aber gut an mit dem Cruiserweight Titelmatch, da habe ich nichts auszusetzen. Ein gutes Laddermatch, ohne die Stipulation auszureizen. Mir hat vor allem der Endspot sehr gut gefallen und Escobar ist als Champion die vollkommen richtige Wahl. Das Women's Tag Team Titelmatch war nicht mehr als solide, was ich aber gar nicht zu sehr kritisieren will, denn ein so deutlicher Sieg ist für die neuen Champions auch hilfreich. Da wären vielleicht noch 1-2 Level mehr drin gewesen, aber ich kann damit leben und insgesamt ist dieser Titel jetzt schon besser und gefühlt relevanter als der Women's Tag Titel im Main Roster. Gargano gegen Bronson Reed war auch solide. Das typische Gargano Match zum Großteil und man hatte halt einfach nciht das Gefühl, dass Reed gewinnen könnte. Solides Midcard Match, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Das NXT Titlematch war gut. Für mich das wohl beste Kross Match ever. Finn Balor kann jeden Move von Kross kontern und dann doch geil aussehen lassen. Mir gefällt der Titelwechsel trotzdem nicht. Es ist halt immer noch Killer Kross, der nicht mehr als das hier zeigen kann und außerdem waren wir an diesem Punkt ja schon, jetzt hätte man ihn auch verlieren lassen können. Dazu ist es einfach auch enttäuschend, dass Balor's Titelrun so endet, er hätte eher jemand neues over bringen sollen. Aber man sieht in Kross wohl einiges, mal sehen wie der Run wird, auch wenn ich skeptisch bin. Mit dem Main Event kann ich leider wenig anfangen. Ich kann völlig verstehen, wenn Leute, die voll in der Story drin sind das abfeiern, aber ich kann damit gar nichts anfangen. Mir war von Anfang an Klar, welches Match das wird und habe gehofft, dass es nciht dieses Match wird. Das ist halt die Gargano vs Ciampa Matchformel, die man damals schon mehr als ausgereizt hat und die damals schon anstrengend war. Hier kommt dazu, dass es sich nun nochmal mehr formularisch an, forced epicness beschreibt das schon sehr gut. Es muss 40 Minuten gehen, damit es ach so emotional wird, aber das ist die völlig falsche herangehensweise. 20 Minuten hätten mehr als gelangt, so war es ab der Hälfte einfach langweilig. Technisch ist es sicherlich gut und ich fand die Kettenspots auch wirklich kreativ, aber insgesamt war mir das zu langsam geworkt und zu forciert auf 40 Minuten gestreckt. Ohne richtige Crowd funktioniert sowas dann halt noch 10 mal schlechter und dann haben wir einen ME, der hätte super werden können, der so aber die Show doch runterzieht. |

Same with Balor vs Kross, which was another good match for Kross since returning from injury, even if the ending was a disappointment. Heading into the main event, this was a 7, maybe a 7 and a half show. The main event took it a step above. KOR vs Cole was an epic battle of sheer brutality for 40 minutes, with brutal spots and a great finish. I'll give it a ****1/4, but it would've benefited quite a bit if it had been a bit shorter. Not as good as night 1, but still a fantastic show. 8/10 |
