Most of the times it feels like the bad TNA days (2010) and the bad years of WCW. Definetly it is better than any WWE Product since 2010, but that isnÄt that hard to accomplish. You can skip this whole episide, unless you want to see a solid Six Man Tag Team Match between FTR and Jurassic Express, that was entertaining enough. All over matches were forgettable, like the Women's Tournament Finale, or the TNT Qualifiying match. There was also an unnecessary squash match as an opener..dafaq. As for promos, I was surprised that the Inner Cirlce Press Conference was quite entertaining - mostly because of the insults MJF delivered, but now I am kinda sold on the Tag Team Title match between the Bucks and MJF/Y2J. I did not give a shit about Eric Bischoffs cameo. F*ck off Bishoff! |

| 13 | 27.08.2021 | DarkPrince | 6.0 | AEW Dynamite in dieser Woche fängt direkt mit dem Mixed Tag Team Match zwischen Cody & Red Velvet vs. Shaq & Jade Cargill an. Shaq hat sich als "Nicht" Wrestler echt gut geschlagen und man hat ihn mit dem Table Spot von ihm und Cody gut aus dem Match genommen. Jade Cargill holt dann trotzdem den Sieg für ihr Team und geht damit Over. Ein Solides Match (***). In-Ring Promo von Chris Jericho, MJF und den restlichen Inner Circle Jungs im Background gut umgesetzt. Nach den "Presse Fragen" (Wo unter anderem auch Eric Bischoff mit dabei war) kamen die Young Bucks heraus und hielten auch noch eine Kleine sehr gute Promo gegen MJF/Jericho, woraus ein Brawl entsteht und Nick und Matt Jackson noch einen Table Spot gegen Ortiz und Santana zeigen. Six Man Tag Team Match auch sehr unterhaltend. Trotz seines Hohen Alters, sah Tully Blanchard bei seinen Bump's sehr Fit aus und hat sich gut geschlagen. Aber das man ihn hier Luchasaurus hat Pinnen lassen finde ich ist vom Booking her nicht grade wirklich Schlau, da ihm der Sieg einfach garnix bringt. Match war jedoch sehr gut (***3/4). Die Promo Von Tony Schiavone und Paul Wight war ganz inordnung um die neue "AEW Dark: Elevation" Show zu hypen. Und zugleich kündigte Wight noch einen "Hall Of Fame Worthy Talent" an der sich beim PPV erkennbar zeigen wird und das Roster von AEW verstärken wird. Das Finale im No. 1 Contendership AEW Women's Titel Eliminator Tournament war dann absolut garnicht mein Fall. Also ich persönlich kann absolut garnicht verstehen warum das Match so gut bewertet wurde. Jeder Move wurde meiner Meinung nach nicht sauber ausgeführt und hatte 0 Impact dahinter. Knapp 13 Minuten hab ich mich komplett gelangweilt. Das letzte Qualifying Match für das Face of the Revolution Ladder Match war Schwach. Main Event jedoch inordnung. Insgesamt aber eine Solide Dynamite Ausgabe. |
| 14 | 08.08.2021 | Telecine | 8.0 | Eine Dynamite Ausgabe auf dem üblichen starken Niveau. Shaq hat im Opener viel mehr gemacht und sah viel besser aus, als ich vorher gedacht hätte. Das Match ist sicher kein Match of the Year Anwärter, aber ein spaßiges Tag Team Match mit Shaq, der einen großen Table Bump einsteckt. Das In Ring Comeback von Tully Blanchard geht in eine ähnliche Richtung. Im Six Man Tag ist er beschützt genug, dass er seine paar Spots zeigen kann und am Ende sogar Luchasaurus pinnt. Das Finale des Women's Eliminator Tournaments war gut und für mich ist Mizunami-Shida auch die interessantere der beiden möglichen Paarungen. Page & Silver gegen Hardy & Quen war in Ordnung, der wilde Brawl danach ein wenig übertrieben, aber auch OK für eine Go Home Show. Außerhalb des Rings war die Jericho-MJF-Pressekonferenz mit zahlreichen Cameos von Wrestling-Journalisten und -Podcastern eine gut inszenierte Szene, wenn auch das Format so ähnlich schon einmal zu sehen gewesen ist. Insgesamt eine gute Go Home Show für Revolution. |

I was taken by surprise by the quality of the 6 man tag match and the opening tag match and it delivered luckily for them but miracles don? t always work . The rest of the show kind of collapsed as far as in ring quality is concerned . Ryo/Nyla was the only exception being the MOTN . Other than that , a mediocre main event , a below average ladder match qualifier and a squash that was good but does not do a lot . The extras however were really interesting except for the ending which was very WWE like . Scorpio? s heel turn on commentary was interesting , Sting/Allin vs Taz and co. was very enjoyable and so was the Shida/Ryo confrontation . Caster referencing to Lady Gaga? s dog walker was insensitive and although I was not initially a fan of the Inner circle press conference , it turned out to be pretty fun with Eric B showing up as well. This would then end with YB creating a awesome visual with Matt doing the diving elbow off the stage while Nick does a senton through the table on Snatana off the entrance tunnel. A mixed bag , had it not been for the marvelously executed angle advancements , this show would have been a disaster . It fortunately is not and really hyped for the exploding barbed wire death match and also liked seeing Paul Wight.. Overall , a good show but a poor go home show. |

Also I am getting a little tired of Team Taz feud with Allin. Its gone way too long. The only good build tonight would be for the Women's Championship but Mizunami is relatively untested in AEW so I don't think she is gonna pry the Title away from Shida. At least Shida showed her face in Dynamite in God knows how long. Fenix and pac are amazing and should be pushed more than they are. They have never won a Championship in AEW despite their early push and their incredible talents. Mixed feelings about Bucks Vs Inner Circle. I really think Ortiz and Santana would have been a better choice. The mixed tag team match would have been way better in Revolution considering the huge build but kudos to Shaquille O Neal for selflessly putting the other three over just by being in the match and taking a huge dive for the company. Good show but as a go home show, it could have been better. |

Man schweift für mich zu sehr in den Mainstream ab. Viele sagen das der Opener nicht schlecht war aber ich habe daran gar keinen Gefallen gefunden. Ich fand es in Ordnung wenn Velvet im Ring stand. Cargill kann leider aus Tritten auch nocht nicht viel. Das war nix für mich. Dafür konnten danach PAC und Fenix in einer Minute zeigen wie man mit Jobbern umgeht. Brutal zerstören. Genau richtig nach dem Opener. Ich fand auch das Six Man Tag Team Match gut. Tully fügte sich da gut ein und ich fand es wirklich nicht schlimm das er hier den Pin geholt hat. Er wird ja nicht öfter in den Ring steigen und dem Express schadet die Niederlage auch nicht. Das war schon ganz gut so. MOTN ist sicherlich das Frauenmatch. Mizunami und Rose hauen sich ordentlich was vor den Kopf und fighten sich quer durch den Ring. Ich fand das gut gemacht und der Sieg von Mizunai war schon überraschend aber mir hat es gefallen. Ten gegen Caster fand ich auch nicht so schlecht wie es gemacht wird. Ten hat sich in den letzten Wochen wirklich gemacht meiner Meinung nach und Caster weiß im Ring mittlerweile auch zu gefallen. Der Main Event war dann noch ein solides Tag Team Match. Vor einer vollen Halle hätte das sicherlich besser gewirkt als hier. War aber durchaus in Ordnung. Ansonsten gab es noch Zeug mit Sting und Paul Wight den kein Mensch braucht. Solide Folge heute. |

His fake out when teasing the suicide dive was fantastic. It was also great to see JJ Dillon again and everyone on FTR's side were heels and it was great. They didn't let Marco Stunt or Luchasaurus ruin the match. The opening match was a bad dance routine with three inexperienced wrestlers and Cody. I understand why they did the table spot but they didn't make the effort for us to believe there was a reason it should have been done and the girls couldn't set the tables up. Just a disaster of a match! And Shaq just disappears while Tony Schiavone by himself just opens up a back of an ambulance like that's something he'd be allowed to do. PAC and Fenix don't know how to do a squash match, they hit the jobber team with all these moves before they can put them away. Ryo Mizunami sucks as a wrestler, I'm not a fan of her at all. Max Caster vs. Ten was there and someone had to explain to me why Jack Evens was getting paid by Matt Hardy to interfere in the match. And the main event just made me so sad that Page went from being a main event guy in this promotion to being involved with The Dork Order. And of course the show ended with a giant brawl between guys in a match nobody cares about. This show deserves a lower rating than 2 but I enjoyed the six man tag team match so much I'll give team two points for that. |

Cool, dass Max Caster sich qualifiziert hat, auch wenn das Match nichts besonderes war. Page und Silver als Team war auch nice, FTR vs. Jurrassic Express und das Nyla vs. Ryo waren ebenfalls gut. Definitiv erwähnen sollte man auch den Opener, der in vielen Aspekten overdelivered hat. Shaq wurde sehr gut in Szene gesetzt, die Chops, die Powerbomb, der Bump am Ende, hat man ziemlich gut umgesetzt, wie ich finde. Auch Jade machte eine gute Figur und darf am Ende auch den Sieg einfahren. Gute Show. |

Everyone had a nice showing, not much to say, I think Jade has a future and I loved Velvets Moonsault. ***. Death triangle had a squash. You can? t have a bad squash and you also can? t have a good one, I don? t really have any thoughts on this but I? ll give it *3/4, that seems fair. FTR put on a thrilling match with J Express. That match was really over and had some nice spots, the bit where Tully almost went for a plancha and the bit with the shoe are probably two of my favourite moments of the night. Great good feel tag team action ****. Mizunami and Nyla put on a good showing, she threw some nice forearms and I love the rope hung diving knee from Nyla. There were some great sequences in this match. That superplex felt more like an avalanche brainbuster! I do feel that Nyla could have gotten up from the leg drop but it was still a nice match ***3/4. 10 vs Caster wasn? t anything special, a nice sheer drop brainbuster, that? s all really, ten was pretty slow when running the ropes and a pretty poor match overall *1/2. The main event didn? t feel like a main event, I? d of swapped it round with the Shaq match. It was pretty generic and lacklustre **. Overall it was a good show but had its flaws and I think they should have done a promo with Omega to just cap off the build up, but it was good overall. ****1/4 |

Das war ein solides Sports Entertainment Match aber mehr nicht in meinen Augen. Das Death Triangle folgt danach mit einem Squash, bevor das nächste Match folgte, dass ich etwas kontrovers sehe ehrlich gesagt. Das Match an sich war nicht schlecht aber ich finde Tully Blanchard hat es aktiv runtergezogen und dazu kommt eben auch noch, dass ich es schwierig finde wenn Leute wie er jüngeres Talent pinnen. Das Match war dennoch solide aber generell hat mich an dieser Ausgabe etwas gestört, dass es sich teilweise so WWEig angefühlt hat und das nicht im guten Sinne, sprich das man eher ein Sports Entertainment Fokus inklusive Celebrity Match sowie Altstars im Vordergrund hatte, auch wenn die Promo von Big Show nicht schlecht war. Mal schauen wer da kommt bei einer solchen Ankündigung. Das Match der Damen fand ich allerdings wirklich mehr als anständig. Ein unterhaltsamer Brawl mit überraschendem Ende. Das war für mich auch das MOTN. Das Co ME hingegen gab mir ehrlich gesagt gar nichts. Ich fand das Match absolut belanglos. Das ME war dann noch mal ein anständiger Abschluss. Abseits des In Ring Geschehens gab es dann noch zum tausendsten mal das quasi gleiche Segment mit Sting und ich muss leider sagen: So sehr ich Sting als Wrestler besonders in seiner NWA Zeit mochte ich kann ihn jetzt schon nicht mehr sehen und bin froh wenn die Fehde vorbei ist. Insgesamt muss ich auch generell sagen, dass es für mich aus den erwähnten Gründen eine der schwächeren Dynamite Ausgaben überhaupt war, allerdings immer noch solide, sodass ich 5 Punkte für angemessen halte. Es gab halt hier einige Dinge, die nicht meinen Geschmack getroffen haben. |

Mehr dazu im Guide (*¼). D3 & Skylar werden von PAC & Fenix gesquasht. Dominant wie es sein sollte. Dann folgen starke Promos von Jericho & MJF und ein überraschender Auftritt von Eric Bischoff, bis die Young Bucks die PK unterbrechen. Anstatt wütend zu sein und auf Rache aus zu sein, reden sie wie toll ihr Vater war. Die Heels lassen sie auch brav ausreden, bis sie gesuperkicked werden und die Heels die Überhand gewinnen. Dann kommen die Refs und die Bucks cleanen den Ring. Hat das Segment kaputt gemacht. Ganz wichtig ist natürlich, dass sie dann noch das AEW-Synchronturmspringen machen dürfen. Das Videopaket danach bringt das Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch gut over. 6 Man Tag Match. JJ Dillon hat mich gehypt. Mehr zum Match im Guide (**½). Dann kommt Big Show mit einem "No More BS" T-Shirt. Müssen diese Fronts gegen WWE eigentlich immer sein? Und warum macht Show dabei mit? Was ist da vorgefallen? Dann kommt mit Rose/Mizunami das Finale, das entscheiden wird, wer gegen Shida antreten wird. Es hat mir nicht gefallen. Mehr dazu im Guide (*¾). Sting fertigt dann Starks ab, dann fertigen die Heels Sting ab und dann kommt Darby mit Musik und Sting & Darby fertigen die Heels ab. Unnötig, hat nichts gebracht. Verschwendung von TV-Zeit meiner Meinung nach. Dann gibt es Max Caster vs. Ten. Negative One möchte ich bei allem Respekt nicht mehr im TV sehen. Das ist nicht schön anzusehen. Platinum Max Caster gefällt mir zumindest beim Einzug. Das Match war leider nichts. Mehr dazu im Guide (¾*). Es folgt eine schwache Promo von Miro. Aber dann ist endlich Main Event Time. Main Event Material war das in meinen Augen nicht. Man gibt Hardy & Page jeweils einen schlechten Tag Partner und das ganze plätschert unbeeindruckend vor sich hin, weil man auch nicht zu viel zeigen sollen. Matts Heelwork war nicht schlecht und Page ist sowieso gut, aber ich frage mich immer wieder, warum man ihn als ME Talent in solchen Sachen verschwendet. Die Interaktionen zwischen Matt & Page waren solide und intensiv. Ich kann leider John Silver genauso wenig wie Marko Stunt als Wettkämpfer ernst nehmen, wenn er Matt Hardy Brainbuster o. ä. verteilt. Das wirkt auf mich äußerst unauthentisch und damit unglaubwürdig. Nach dem Match greift Hardy Page mit dem Mikrophon an und Dark Order fertigen ihn ab. Um Himmels Willen. Dann kommen noch 5000 Leute und Chaos und alle schlagen sich im Ring, weil man ja irgendwie die Battle Royale hypen möchte. Ich hasse sowas. Dann war die Show endlich zu Ende. | 43 | 05.03.2021 | marexcel | 3.0 | Weiß ja nicht erst seit gestern, dass ich nicht in der AEW-Zielgruppe bin, aber Crossorads als Go Home-Show hat mich doch wirklich irritiert. Sicherlich ist Shaq cooler als gedacht, aber das hatte für mich keinerlei Mehrwert. Im Gegenteil. Ein paar Spots hat man sich überlegt, Jade bekommt viel Zeit, zu zeigen, dass sie doch eher grün ist und in meinen Augen auch kein Charisma hat. Der Look ist weiterhin einzigartig, aber Ausstrahlung, die hier im Match helfen können, sah ich da nicht. Im Match passieren viele Dinge, die ich so nicht sehen möchte und es in Summe wirklich schwer erträglich gemacht haben für mich. Aftermath ist ja cool gedacht, aber der anwesende EMT ist leider taubstumm. Die Unlogik killt auch das Segment für mich. Fenix und PAC mit einem guten Showing in einem unnötigen Match. Die PK vom Inner Circle war schon irgendwie okay, aber mehr auch nicht. Schlimm wurde es dann mit dem Eintreffen der Gebrüder Jackson. Ganz wichtig, wenn man seinen Vater rächt ist, dass man es synchron und choreographiert macht und nicht intuitiv und brutal. Das muss sich auf dem Papier immer super lesen, aber wenn man es dann sieht, fühlt sich das so fake an, wie es nur geht. Das nimmt dem Angle fast jede Intensität. Der Moment für Tully ist cooler als gedacht, aber Jurassic Express kommt hier unter die Räder und am Ende ist es Shawn Spears, der dann bisschen 4 Horsemen 2021 teast. Timing komplett verpasst, aber passt schon. No More BS. Lustiges Shirt. Aber das mit dem PPV-Namen übt er dann nochmal. Die Ankündigung hilft mir jedenfalls (neben dem Omega vs. Mox-Match) etwas Hype für Revolution zu generieren. Das Finale der Damen gibt mir nicht viel. Man hat es verpasst, Ryo irgendwie zu erklären. Die perlt so an mir ab. Im Match klappt dann auch nicht alles. Aftermath obligatorisch, aber okay. Der Aufbau für den Tag Team Street Fight ist dann halt auch egal nach Wochen des Stallings. Wie Sting beim Hold letztendlich zusammensackt, sieht auch nicht so dolle aus und macht mir etwas Sorgen für das Match. Paar sehr freshe Zeilen von Max. Hätte er nur Flow. Im Match läuft fast nichts zusammen bis Evans das Heel-Finish einleitet. Die Story Matt vs. Dark Order ist okay, aber auch so ist das nicht viel. Miro versucht etwas Relevanz in die Story zu bekommen, die fühlt sich aber weiterhin sehr leer an, aber die Ankündigung, dass wir nun den bösen Miro sehen, geht schon in die richtige Richtung. Das Main Event ist als solches eher fehlplatziert mit der durchschnittlichen TV-Action. Im Anschluss ein unnötiger Brawl, um auch noch die Casino BR der Teams aufzubauen. Von Mox vs. Omega gibt es nur ein passables Hype-Video. Ich fand das in Summe ziemlich schwach und auch letztendlich wirklich unter dem Strich. |

For a Tournament Final, it was nothing special, Ryo Mizunami a fitting winner, although think her ceiling in the US is fairly low. Nyla has improved a decent amount and deserves credit. Sting/Darby vs Team Taz a bore again. Caster vs 10 was average. Main event acceptable, but expect more days away from a big ppv. |

Der Opener war solide, lebt aber doch sehr stark von dem einen großen Spot, der auch richtig gut war. Ansonsten gibt es sowohl bei Shaq vs Cody als auch bei Jade vs Velvet eine typische Big Man vs Underdog Story. Etwas provokant würde ich es als AEW Version von HHH und Steph gegen Angle und Ronda Rousey beschreiben und war damit bei Dynamie richtig aufgehoben. Was das Segment mit Shaq und dem Krankenwagen sollte, wird sich zeigen. PAC und Fenix bekommen danach ein Squash Match und qualifizieren sich praktisch für das Casino Tag Team Match. Das Inner Circle Segment war ganz gut, Eric Bischoff ist ein netter Running Gag und Jericho und MJF am MIc liefern einfach geniales Heel-Work. Die Young Bucks greifen danach mit der Hilfe von Gallows und Anderson an, das gibt der Paarung nochmal etwas Heat. Danach gab es ein tolles Hype Video für den Revolution ME mit Atsushi Onita höchstperönlich. Cooler Moment, schade, dass zum ME nicht mehr kam diese Woche. FTR und Tully Blanchard vs Jurrassic Express war gut. Sie haben es geschafft Tully Blanchard 2021 wrestlen zu lassen und das ganz gut hinbekommen. Das Match hat durchaus spaß gemacht und die Szene danch mit Arn Anderson war auch sehr cool. Paul Wight gibt sein Debut, hält eine Promo und kündigt gleich großes an. Abwarten wer es wird, ich hoffe aber jemand, der dem Produkt hilft, aber nach Wights Debut ist da fast jede Überraschung möglich. Das Women's Tournament Finale war gut, nicht das beste Turniermatch, aber ein guter Brawl, in dem man Mizunami over bringen konnte. Shida gratuliert mit der Trophäe, aber Mizunami greift diese gleich mal an als kleine Preview auf das Match. Auch Sting hält wieder eine Promo, wieder nichts allzu neues in der Fehde, aber Sting und Darby haben noch einmal die Überhand. Max Caster gegen Ten war nichts besonderes und ich finde Caster auch wenig interessant als Teilnehmer des Ladder-MAtches, da hätte ich The Acclaimed doch lieber im Casino Match gesehen. Aber mal sehen, auch hier wird ja noch ein Surprise Entrant angekündigt. Der Main Event war in Ordnung, auch die Story hat mittlerweile Hand und Fuß und wurde passend aufgebaut. Es endet in einem großen Brawl der Tag Teams für die Battle Royale, nicht unbedingt das, womit ich die Go-Home Show beendet hätte, aber kann man machen. |

I'm not that much of a mark. " That's how I feel when every episode of Dynamite is flooded with 10/10 scores as soon as it enters the database here, especially an episode like this which took me three sittings to get through. At least we got our weekly segment of Sting getting interrupted. I'm going to miss this feud when it's over. Sting has shown that he can still move and bump a bit but it's all for nothing if the street fight is cinematic. We'll see how it goes. Jericho segment was long and boring. If Papa Buck is in any way involved at Revolution that match loses about 5 points instantly. Why would I not be surpised to see Papa Buck get into a fight with Jericho's dad? That's my level of expectation with current AEW. This episode is currently the 5th ranked show of the past four weeks. The ratings don't differentiate between PPVs and television shows, so it's my opinion that it's up to reviewers to judge those things accordingly. I don't feel that these two hours of bad TV and constant ad breaks were better than Castle Attack day 2, for example, but the ratings disagree. Highlight of the night, surprisingly, was the Shaq match. |

Everything flowed so well and most of their top guys were not even active. It shows how deep the roster is and how over everyone is that the show still worked great and I was invested from top to bottom. Looking forward to Monday, when I can watch Sunday's show. Like last year, AEW is hitting their stride ahead of Evolution. |

The women's tournament finals were nicely physical, Page & Hardy continued their superlative storytelling, and it was nice to see Caster and 10 get such a spotlight on them. Not a great episode in its biggest moments, but the surrounding elements were strong enough when standing on their own. |

Auch Props für Shaq der hier durch den Tisch geht. Das Ende mit dem leeren Krankenwagen war aber sehr seltsam. Ich vermute es läuft auf Cody vs. Shaq heraus. Nachdem sich Shaq hier gut angestellt hat, bin ich dem gar nicht so sehr abgeneigt. Nur sollte sich Shaq dann vielleicht auf ein oder zweimal vor dem Match blicken lassen. Ansonsten hat mir noch das Segment mit dem Inner Circle gefallen. Es ist einfach schön, dass AEW nicht alles immer nach dem Shema F löst, sondern auch mal kreativ wird. Die Matches ansonsten waren durch die Bank weg ordentlich bis gut. Bis auf das Squash Match des Death Triangle, das hätte ich nicht gebraucht. Paul Wight kündigt zudem ein riesiges Debüt an. Die Erwartungen an die Neuverpflichtung sind bei mir nun extrem hoch, ich hoffe man hat sich hier nicht ins Bein geschossen. Verwunderlich ist, dass man bis auf das Video Paket nichts mehr für den ME von Revolution aufgebaut hat. Das ist auch gleichzeitig mein Größter Kritikpunkt an der Show. Habe hier fest damit gerechnet, dass es am Ende noch einen Staredown zwischen Mox und Omega gibt, wo man vielleicht schonmal was mit Barbed Wire anteast. Dafür hätte man ruhig das hundertste Interview mit Sting rausnehmen können, das wurde für mich in der letzten Woche perfekt zum Höhepunkt gebracht. |

Tony Khan could take a shit in the middle of the ring reading the phone book backwards for two hours and some of y'all would throw a ten at it. This was an incredibly OK show. The Shaq match was fun and put a smile on my face more than once, and it was probably the best thing about tonight's episode for the sheer novelty of it and how well it was executed all things considered. The six-man was nice for the nostalgia factor of a 67 year old man wrestle and a 30-year-old stable ostensibly reforming. Speaking of which, we got the exact same Sting/Team Taz promo we've gotten for the last, what, ten weeks? and I cannot wait for them to move on from this shit. The Onita cameo was neat if you're into that but I think AEW keeps forgetting they're on national cable television and the vast majority of people aren't going to know who he is. Please just give us a slice of context. Speaking of which, Ryo Mizunami, whose entire screentime on AEW television has been the same still image of her for the last few weeks, is now going on to the pay-per-view for a women's title match after a decent match with Nyla Rose, because AEW still has absolutely no idea how to make a meaningful storyline with the belt. God forbid we get literally any actual exposure to her on TV prior to this rather than, say, Taz having another myocardial infarction over Darby Allin. Literally nothing to say about the Death Triangle squash match, as if 17 matches a week on Dark isn't enough squash matches for AEW. Last two matches were also barely worth mentioning, completely inoffensive yet unremarkable wrestling. Choosing to end your go-home show hyping up a tag team battle royal instead of, I dunno, the EXPLODING BARBED WIRE DEATHMATCH is an interesting choice. 10/10 is supposed to mean that a show is perfect, that there are so few, if any, flaws that they're completely overshadowed by the overwhelming majority of the show being amazing. How can you possibly sit there and tell the world that ten minutes of Max Caster versus Ten is part of a perfect show? |

Unterhaltsames Match und wenn Jade noch an ihrem Micwork arbeitet, weniger Posen und sich auch weiterhin im Ring verbessert, dann könnte sie eine gute Rolle in der Women's Divsion spielen. Den Look zum Star hat sie zumindest und für einen grünen Rookie war ihr Match Debüt völlig ok. Die Geschichte mit den neuen (? ) 4-Horsemen ist interessant. Shawn Spears passt da gut rein und JJ Dillon war ein unerwarteter Besuch. Die Fragerunde mit Jericho und MJF war besser als erwartet. Auch hier waren wieder gern gesehene Gesichter dabei wie Eric Bischoff und Conrad. Mit Papa Buck hat die Fehde einen guten Aufhänger und die Bucks können agressiver agieren. Paul Wight mit witzigen Shirt und er kündigt gleich mal eine weitere große Überraschung an. So hyped man einen PPV und man hat was zum Spekulieren bis Sonntag. Ryo Mizunami vs. Nyla Rose war ordentlich und mit der richtigen Siegerin des Turniers für eine frische Paarung gegen Shida. Das Turnier hat Spaß gemacht, vorallem die Matches mit Beteiligung der Japanerinnen, die deutlich die besseren Matches hatten, als die US Seite des Brackets. Hier glänzten eigentlich nur Deeb vs. Riho und eben das Finale mit Nyla und Ryo, halt eben auch wieder mit Joshi Beteiligung. Aber das war zu erwarten. Hangman vs. Hardy Fehde gefällt soweit als Midcard Fehde. Das Match hätte aber etwas kürzer sein können und das PAC/Fenix Match hätte man auch ganz bleiben lassen sollen. Die kurzen Matches sind unnötig. Lieber einer knackige Promo halten lassen. Sting hinterlässt einen guten und fitten Eindruck für sein Alter. Ein Krtikpunkt geht an den finalen Aufbau zu Omega/Moxley. Hier hätte ich mir zum Ende der Show einen letzten größeren Showdown der beiden gewünscht. Ein gute wenn auch keine perfekte Go Home Show. |

The opener was extremely fun and unironically my match of the night (***1/2), Shaq disappearing was dumb but can lead to interesting outcomes, the squash was ok and then things started going sour. MJF & Jericho's Press Conference was extremely bad. Especially after The Young Bucks came out. The whole segment made no fucking sense. The Inner Circle left their dad for dead the week prior, and instead of rushing down the ring to kick some ass, the Bucks came down after like 5 minutes, insulted their enemies and THEN THEY FIGHT? Wtf. Why not start brawling from the start. It would have saved us from a trashcan segment. And then we had a "kid" wrestle someone that retired in 1994. The match could have been watchable, but I couldn't take it seriously. Women's match, I'm sorry, I didn't watch the qualifiers so I don't really know who Mizunami is so I couldn't get invested. It was an ok match tho. Caster vs Ten was bad, but the diss was great. Main event was ok-ish, the ending brawl was fun. Edit: Also, were the fuck were Kenny and Mox lol. |

Felt like one of the best promos of the Young Bucks career. The Woman? s match was very good. Ryo showed great personality in a nice reintroduction to the AEW audience. The Tully match was all sorts of nostalgia fun mixed in with future stars. Max Caster continued to show his superstar potential on the mic. And the main event was very good action leading into the matches on Sunday. Overall something exciting was always happening. Such a step up from what anyone else is doing right now. |
