[6.0] "In hindsight, an alright show, limited by the empty Covid-era arena that deflates a lot of the energy. It's wild that we sat through like a year of these kind of shows, isn't it? But I digress. The main story of the show is that it was built around a "new era" defining main event, with a returning world champion and also the debut of the Good Brothers, which was... something, I guess. I think the Good Brothers were still thought of more fondly in mid 2020, but honestly not that fondly still, and Eric Young being treated as a returning big star was always going to fall flat. There were some decent matches - the opening tag match was really fun, and the X Division title match was my personal favorite, with some good stuff elsewhere from the North, Deonna and Jordynne working hard, and the main event at least being an entertaining clusterfuck. But all told, it was just a murky miss of middling talent with a clear ceiling, some slightly odd booking decisions, and an environment that made it hard to get invested. So, basically, a worthy TNA Anniversary show."
[5.0] "Naja, IMPACT Wrestling zeigt in der Corona Pandemie einen einfach durchweg Soliden Event. Die Comebacks / Debuts waren Inordnung, aber jetzt kein wirklicher Bamger dabei, bis auf Eric Young. Mir haben 3 Matches wirklich nur gut gefallen und das waren die MCMG vs. The Rascalz, Jordynne Grace vs. Deonna Purazzo und der Main Event. Mir fehlen hier einfach die großen Spots in den Matches und natürlich war die Stimmung einfach nicht da und es war einfach viel zu leise und ohne Emotionen. Auch wenn Josh Matthews und Don Callis versucht haben Emotionen als Kommentartoren rüber zu bringen, kam da leider einfach nix. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Rascalz (***1/2), Jordynne Grace vs. Deonna Purazzo (***1/2) und das Five Way Elimination Match (****1/4). Insgesamt kann ich hier leider nur 5 Punkte geben."
[6.0] "Mixed bag here. Some hits, misses and an atrocious match make up this show. Opening tag match was thoroughly enjoyable considering the two teams involved. Good athleticism showed, and a joy to watch the MCMG back in Impact. Moose vs Dreamer was slow, as expected, but I kinda liked bits of it. Wasn't all that great though. Gauntlet match did not live up to any expectations. Sure, some shenanigans were fun such as Bravo, but the match did not peak my interest at all. Usually I enjoy Willie Mack's matches and Chris Bey can be great in the ring. While this was enjoyable, I feel like it could have been much more. The tag titles match wasn't bad but wasn't that enjoyable either. Only served to further the issues between Shamrock and Callihan. Aftermath would have been better with a crowd, tbh. Purrazzo and Grace had one of the best penultimate matches in recent memory. There some good technical wrestling from Deonna and Grace was a physical force. Deonna wins in a vicious fashion and I loved how intense she looked. Main event was just great from all aspects. Great surprises before the match, during the match and after the match. Ace Austin was the star here but Rich Swann had me rooting for him. Awesome to see Edwards win the title. While not solid, this was a fairly enjoyable show that might have been better with a crowd, and without that gauntlet match."
[5.0] "Der Main Event war gut und sehenswert, wenn auch manchmal etwas chaotisch und choreographiert (***¼), das Knockouts Title Match solide (**¾), das Gauntlet Match eine Katastrophe und der Rest mittelmäßig (zwischen ** und **½). "Mittelmäßig" ist damit auch das Wort, das diesen PPV gut beschreibt. Das Aftermath zum ME war noch mal ein nettes kleines Highlight. 5. 10"

[8.0] "Impact was - yet again - put in a rough spot in the weeks leading up to Slammiversary, losing reigning World Champion (Blanchard) in acrimonious fashion, as well as one of the top contenders scheduled to compete for the title (Elgin) and several other prominently-featured talents to the #SpeakingOut movement, but against all odds (no pun intended) were able to turn it around and put on a very strong show. In terms of match quality, Jordynne Grace vs. Deonna Purrazzo was easily the best match of the night and probably best of the weekend, though the five-way main event for the vacated World Title, the Rascalz vs. returning Motor City Machine Guns opener were good, North vs. Shamrock/Callihan and Mack vs. Bey for the X Title were solid, and Moose vs. Dreamer was about what you'd expect, but not bad. The women's gauntlet was what it was, and featured maybe a little too much comedy, but Rae winning sets up what should be an interesting title match vs. Purrazzo. We also got a number of debuts/returns to the company that should make things interesting going forward, including the aforementioned MCMG, EC3, Good Brothers, Young (though I would've preferred him as a face) and Slater (though his debut suffered from production issues). An encouraging sign for a company I've long since learned never to bet against."

No solo el nivel en el ring ayudó a éste evento, sino sus sorpresa como regresos de grandes figuras, storyline de fondo en todos los combates (incluso el gauntlet), además del debut de nuevos wrestlers que prometen dar un gran paso en la compañía, además de los segmentos fueron pocos pero efectivos. No sé uds, pero una cosa es tener opiniones subjetivas y otras es ser hater, y ya considero al WON (Meltzer) que es un hater declarado de IMPACT, luego de ver sus estrellas en los últimos shows de la compañía. Gran storytelling la que nos contaron en el main event, pero lo más reprochable del show en éste sentido es que de la nada hay nueva campeona femenina, con 0 construcción y conociendo el trabajo que hace el IMPACT de ésta época, no sé qué carajos estaban pensando. Shamrock no dejó que la lucha en parejas fuera más de lo que vimos, parecía desconcentrado y no tuvo buen selling en algunas secuencias."
[8.0] "With Impact going through a massive transitional period, i had to check this show out and im very impressed with how things are looking. The show was overall very enjoyable and despite having a dud match and a horrible Knockouts gauntlet the rest of the show was so strong and had some fantastic wrestling. The Knockouts championship match was clearly MOTN and the main event was fantastic filled with so many twists and turns it made for a good watch. Impact is in a brilliant place right now and i will be watching closely to see what theyve got planned in the future."
[9.0] "Die Show beginnt gleich mal mit einem Knall. Ich habe mich richtig gefreut, als die Motor City Machine Guns zurückkehrten und dann lieferten sie auch noch ein wirklich gutes Match mit den Rascalz. Beide Teams zeigen richtig starkes Teamwork aber auch miteinander eine starke Chemie. Dann ging es bei den Matches mit Dreamer gegen Moose weiter und auch wenn das eines der beiden schwächeren Matches war, überraschte es mich positiv. Das war ein durchaus anständiger, härterer Brawl. Das Knockouts Title Number One Contender Match danach war in meinen Augen besser als viele es machten. Natürlich war das wrestlerisch das schwächste aber dafür knüpfte es gut an dem Aufbau verschiedener Stories an. Dann wurde es mit Bey gegen Mack aber wrestlerisch wieder richtig gut in einem dynamischen, wirklich unterhaltsamen X Division Match. The North gegen Shamrock und Callihan war dann wieder was ganz Anderes aber überraschend gut. The North mit ihrem typischen Old School Stil und auch Shamrock und Callihan funktionieren als Team überraschend gut aber übermitteln gleichzeitig auch Spannungen. Dann kam das absolute Higlight. Purazzo und Grace zeigen eines der besten Frauenmatches dieses Jahres bislang. Purrazzo beginnt technisch dominant mit starkem Bodypartwork aber Jordynne kann ihre Kraft und eigenes Bodypartwork dagegen setzen aber gerade als man denkt, jetzt hat es Jordynne kommt Purrazzo und das Finish mit dem Double Fujiwara Armbar ist dann auch sehr gut sowie das gesamte Match. Beim ME beginnt es schon recht spektakulär. Mit Swann kommt die erste, mit Young die zweite Überraschung. Ein richtig gutes ME mit starker Dynamik und auch gutem Booking der Eliminierung sowie Storyaspekten. Nach dem Match gibt es noch den Beatdown gegen den absolut richtigen Sieger Edwards und wer macht den Save? Die Goodbrothers. Und als man denkt das war es: Kommt auch noch die EC3 Vignette. Vorher gab es ja noch das Slater Debüt. Insgesamt ein sehr guter PPV, der in meinen Augen 9 Punkte verdient."
[6.0] "Am Ende befriedigt mich das Wrestling im Opener und in den letzten beiden Matches. Impact Wrestling ist und bleibt Impact Wrestling und so gibt es Tonprobleme, das Licht ist ziemlich furchtbar und in der Battle Royal werden gleich zwei Eliminierungen nicht eingefangen. Opener fand ich nett und flott. Einfach Wrestling hin und her und viel Konversation zwischen den Teilnehmern. Ging vielleicht etwas zu lang (**3/4). Moose hat immer noch diesen geilen Großkotz-Charakter, Dreamer ist seit 25 Jahre der gleiche Akt. Cooler Dropkick Spot und dann springt Moose vom Toprope in den Cutter und landet hart auf einer Mülltonne. Das war nice, der Rest ist allenfalls OK (**1/4). Das Gauntlet Match hat zu Beginn zwei gute Minuten, wird dann von Minute zu Minute furchtbarer und trauriger. Da passte weder die Leistung noch die Idee fand ich (-***). Chris Bey ist viel zu grün und verkauft halt gar nix, was so mein größtes Problem mit ihm ist. Die Moves haben am Anfang wenig bis gar keinen Flow, dann spielt es sich ein und man macht einfach Moves und Moves bis ein Move das Ende bedeutet (**1/2). Shamrock hat Luft für 10 Minuten und wird von The North ganz gut getragen. Dann steht er einfach nur die ganze Zeit im Ring, atmet schwer und wartet darauf, abgeholt zu werden. Heels bearbeiten erste Sami, dann Shamrock, dann noch mal Sami und der macht zwei Mal den Hot-Tag und Shamrock "running mild" wirkt traurig (**1/4). Mein MOTN mit weitem Abstand Grace vs. Purrazzo - kein Spot-Gedöhns sondern Pro Wrestling hin und her und das einzige, was ich doof fand, war, dass Grace nach den Arm-Attacken den Arm halt so gar nicht sellt. Davon abgesehen sehr gut fand ich (***1/2). Main Event pures unterhaltsame Spotfest. Man hat nicht die Eier, Austin zum Champion zu machen, sondern wählt lieber Edwards, der von PPV zu PPV mehr aussieht wie ein gut gekleideter Wohnungsloser. Nicht mein Ding. Swann nervig wie immer, aber macht seine Spots und Young wirkt recht motiviert (***1/4)."
[8.0] "Starker PPV mit konstanter Card und vielen Highlights. Der Opener war absolut perfekt gemacht, jeder hat mit den Good Brothers gerechnet, aber die MCMG waren eine sehr gute Überraschung, die die Tag Team Division ungemein bereichern. Tolles Tag Team wrestling und als Opener perfekt. Moose gegen Dreamer war ganz gut aufgebaut, das Match wie erwartet kein highlight, es stand nichts auf dem Spiel und daher war es wenig spannend. Das Knockouts Gauntlet Match war ein typischer Fall von weniger ist mehr und zwar besonders weniger John E Bravo. Die Division ist eigentlich zu gut um so ein Match zu haben und gegen Ende hin wurde es auch besser, mit Kylie hat man die richtige Siegerin. Chris Bey gegen Willie Mack war absolut solide, hatte sehr gute Action teilweise und damit als X Division Match absolut in Ordnung. Bey hat man nun sehr konstant aufgebaut, wie Austin letztes Jahr, aber schade um Mack, der man ist so gut und könnte World Champion sein. North gegen Shamrock und Callihan war ziemlich gut, anders als der Opener, aber genauso sehr gutes Tag Team Wrestling. Wie erwartet funktionieren Ken und Sami nicht so gut zusammen und dennoch hat man viel Spannung zum Ende hin reingebracht. The North sind zum Glück weiterhin Champions und bekommen mit MCMG jetzt eine super Herausforderung. Das Heath Segment war nett, die Reunion mit Rhino ebenso. Das Knockouts Titlematch vermutlich wirklich das MOTN, aber auf dieser Card nicht mit viel Abstand. Technisch war es aber definitiv das beste und auch Deonna hat man absolut konstant aufgebaut, sie konnte hier auch endlich mal zeigen was sie kann, auch wenn ich lieber Jordynne weiter gesehen hätte. Der ME war gut, mit Swann eine netter Überraschung und mit Eric Young dann die richtige Überraschung, der in seiner Rolle wirklich gut war. Eddie Edwards als Sieger finde ich gut, als Übergangschamp ist er perfekt gewählt und verdient hat er das auch. Die Good Brothers und EC3 am Ende hypen für mehr und turnen evtl bald gegen Eddie?"
[7.0] "Solidly good enough. The opener was pretty great, the MCMG are always such a treat to see and the Rascalz were great opponents for them. Moose vs Dreamer was ok, i mean, Tommy is not even walking amazingly anymore but they made it work. Moose looks great too, by the way. The Knockouts Gauntlet Match was... embarassing, most of the time. The good point of it was that they knew it and the weak links were eliminated quickly and, when it mattered, the better workers had some time to show themselves. Also, Kylie Rae is damn gold! Bay vs Mack was pretty good, Willie Mack is impressive but the ending was too quick, this one needed three more minutes or so. The North vs Shamrock and Callihan was ok, Ken shouldn't be fighting anymore for more than 5 minutes, he was so exhausted that it kind of hurt the story of the match. Post match challenge by the MCMG was pretty good too, might make me watch next episode just for that. Purrazzo vs Grace was good at times, freaking boring at others with the worst wrestling gear choice of the year award to Grace, decent match, i guess. The Main event was a tad too long for me and it too ranged from pretty good to damn boring because of that. Rich Swann stuff was the best thing on the match, Eric Young was an underwhelming as hell reveal for a 4th man but the ending was pretty cool. Overall, 6/10 show that goes up one point for the reveals and decisions they made."
[7.0] "Es war ja nicht unbedingt der Buildup, sondern die dennoch relativ gute Card und vor allen Dingen die geteasten Überraschungen, die Slammiversary einen veritablen Hype gegeben hatten. Zwei offene Spots auf der Card helfen da natürlich auch. Den ersten füllen die "gerüchteten" Motor City Machine Guns. Ein Opener, wie er im Buche steht. (***½) Guter Flow, gute Action. Moose und Dreamer können damit natürlich nicht mithalten, sollen sie aber auch nicht. Das ist dann halbwegs passende Nischenaction, aber Dreamer, der den Veteran spielt, der sich nicht vom Business verabschieden kann, zieht irgendwann nicht mehr. Gimmick genutzt, Moose aufgebaut, Zweck erfüllt, schnell vergessen. (**½) Die Damen bekommen für ihre Gauntlet-Variation dann ordentlich Zeit, aber leider so gar keine Stories dazu, dabei ist die Mischung doch wirklich gut. Ganz zähes Ding, bei dem immerhin die Gewinnerin passt. (*¾) Mack und Bey liefern plausible X-Division-Action und erinnern an gute alte Zeiten. Guter Titelwechsel! (***¼+) Das World Tag Team Title Match hätte gut abliefern können, aber dann vergisst Shamrock den Plot und die bis dahin guten Sequenzen funktionieren nicht mehr so. Der doppelte Ankle Lock-Spot ist halt Bullshit und kein guter Finish-Tease. Dazu gesellte sich zu viel Augenrollpotential, um hier wirklich abzuliefern. (**½) Die Damen Grace und Purrazzo hauen dann das MOTN raus. Guter Schlagabtausch, die gezielten Bearbeitungen sitzen und münden in einer knackigen Schlussphase. (***¾+) Die Überraschungsteilnehmer Swann und Young sind natürlich Letdowns, wenn man sich erinnert, wen Impact alles in den Spot gepackt hatte. Generell sind die Comebacks natürlich gut und die Action lässt schnell vergessen, dass ich hier auf Bully Ray oder EC3 gehofft hatte. Vor den Eliminierungen gibt es viele passende Sequenzen und das fügt sich auch insgesamt sehenswert zusammen. Das abschließende One-on-One klappt natürlich auch. (***½) Passender Sieger, dessen Run wohl nicht ewig gehen dürfte. Das Segment von Heath, das Abschlusssegment und die kurze Vignette am Ende bringen dann nochmal Extrapunkte, sodass sich die 18. Ausgabe von Slammiversary mit 7, 44P fast in den guten Bereich vorkämpfen kann. Unterhaltsam und ein guter Fingerzeig ist die Show ja in jedem Fall."
[8.0] "Didn't reach the highs of last years Slammiversary but nevertheless this card was the definition of solid. -Opener MCMG vs Rascals was a perfect way to kick off a PPV and in an industry where surprises are few and far between, (people knew Sabin would show up but no one expected Shelley) ***3/4 -Moose vs Dreamer was just a very much by the numbers hardcore match. Both these guys have great presence though ** - Knockouts Gauntlet match , which was actually a battle royal was messy * - Chris Bey vs Willie Mack- great little X Division match from two very talented wrestlers. ***1/2 - The North vs Shamrock and Callihan. Classic old school tag team match. The North have really come into their own as confident and dominant in world tag scene. Callihan is always fun to watch and Shamrock has still pretty much got it. ***1/2 - Jordynne Grace vs Deonna Purrazzo. I would say the MOTN. Great mix of heavy hitting moves and mat grappling and reversals. they built it up and tore it down. *****1/4 -Ace Austin vs Eddie Edwards vs Trey Miguel vs Rich Swann vs Eric Young. I think for a lot of people the whole surprise entrant thing might have overshadowed the actual match but this was a great mainevent with lots of nice interactions between everyone. EY once again showed why he is a top class talent and why other companies were crazy not to utilise him. Edwards is Impact's rock these days and deserves to be at the pinnacle of the company. Going to be interesting to see where this all goes."

[9.0] "Total nonstop action. Fantastische Show, großartiges Pacing. Vom Opener bis zum Closing Moment eine durchweg unterhaltsame Show. Tolle In-Ring Action, kein Durchhänger, wobei das "Gauntlet" und Moose vs Dreamer als Lowlights, das TT-Titel und der Main Event die Highlights waren, mehr dazu im Matchguide. Eine Show, die Interesse an der Promotion wiederbelebt und einfach abliefert. Well done."

MCMG vs Rascalz was a very entertaining way to start off *** Moose vs Dreamer was ok, nothing special ** 1/2 Knockouts Gauntlet was better than it needed to be, some great comedy moments and a true iron woman ** 3/4 Chris Bey vs Willie Mack was great but i feel it could have been a little longer *** North vs Shamrock & Callihan was also a surprise, Shamrock is very slow and sluggish in the ring now a days but the 3 guys made sure to carry the match and it was quite entertaining *** 1/4 The Knockouts title match was great, once again needed to be slightly longer. *** 1/4 The World title match was MOTN for me, the double swerve on the mystery was great and the action was superb. *** 1/2"

IMPACT Wrestling wird dem Hype gerecht und nutzt die Debuts/Returns, um auf ihr Produkt aufmerksam zu machen und stellt abseits davon aber auch gekonnt die Weichen für die nächsten Monaten. Das alles fühlt sich wie der Start eines neuen Kapitels an. Bin mir noch nicht sicher, ob ich dafür Eddie Edwards als World Champion sehen will, aber ich warte erst einmal ab. Das Knockouts Title Match ist meiner Meinung nach ganz klar das MOTN, doch auch die anderen Title Matches konnten alle überzeugen. Moose vs. Dreamer ist viel besser als es hätte sein dürfen. The North verteidigen ihre Titel in einem wirklich guten Match und Chris Bey gewinnt eher überraschend den X-Division Title. Einzig und allein das Gauntlet Match fand ich eher schwach. Die Motor City Machine Guns, Eric Young, Good Brothers, Heath Slater und EC3 sind alles mindestens sinnvolle Neuzugänge! Insgesamt bin ich mehr als zufrieden mit dieser Show. Die nächste IMPACT Wrestling Ausgabe kann nicht früh genug kommen."
