1923.01.2024Jeaver10.0A very solid Mania as a whole, while the last 3 matches didn't impress me much the Angle Michaels match and the Money in the Bank match did. Some really great stuff from this Mania and easily one of the best of all time. 9.5/10

2504.12.2023crs28510.0This was the first Wrestlemania I watched as a kid, and I loved it then and rewatching it I still loved it. Every pro wrestling match (not Sumo) was good. Angle v Michaels edges out MITB for the MOTN honors. Crowned two new star babyfaces for the company. This was an amazing Wrestlemania.

2716.11.2023Scott Bailey10.0Another outstanding Ruthless Aggression era Mania. While its not quite the show where every match is a classic, neither is 17 or 19. Out side of those two shows I this is a strong contender for me as one of the all time great Manias. It had an all time mat classic in Michaels vs Angle, a fantastic high workrate Money in the Bank Ladder Match with an all time great performance from Shelton Benjamin, an awesome Wrestlemania streak match where Randy Orton becomes the Undertaker's latest victim, a very good Eddie vs Mysterio match which began one of the most memorable feuds of the year! There's a lot of great wrestling matches here and it's also remembered for being the show where John Cena and Batista took their place at the top of the mountain. Both title matches served their purpose, but Batista vs Triple H was the much stronger match of the two and was the correct match to have as the main event in my opinion. I thought the nostalgia stuff was decent here where Hogan returns and ends up taking out Mohammad Hassan and the Stone Cold/Piper's Pit segment was a lot of fun and a nice breather for the crowd after that epic Angle/HBK match. I have to appreciate that on the Hall of Fame ceremony everyone inducted got a proper enterance instead of just the main guy like they do now. Trish vs Christy was an okay match considering Cristy had very little in ring experience, and they used that in the story as well. Big Show vs Akebono..... yeah just skip it. It was a terrible idea. On the whole though, I thought this was a very well rounded Mania that had a bit of everything. Awesome show.

3422.08.2023lukerocker98.0Really good Mania, mostly on the strenght of its undercard. Eddie and Rey had a fun fast paced opener (8/10) The first Money in the Bank match set the bar on what a good iteration of the match is like with memorable spots (8/10) Undertaker VS Orton was fun sports entertainment and the best Streak match up until that point (8/10) and Angle/Michaels was a wrestling all time classic(10/10). The other half of the show is what stops this from being rated 9 or 10. Trish vs Hemme is short and forgettable (4/10) and the Sumo match is a boring waste of time even if its short (0/10). The two main events had the right results but weren't amazing Cena/JBL is just a middle of the road bout (5/10) while Batista/Triple H is more heated bout but longer than it needed to be (6/10). The Pipers Pit and Eugene segments are completely skippable as well. The Good Stuff in this card outweights the bad by quite a lot and this is one of the better Manias there is

5516.03.2023GMS187.0This show was on pace to be fantastic but has some things dragging it down - namely, you've gotta get your big title matches right but Batista/HHH was meh and Cena/JBL outright bad, admirable as it is to pass the torch to the two young stars. The sumo match was also pretty pointless, just compounding what a chore the latter half of this show becomes. No complaints through the first five matches though, Eddie/Rey and MITB are great, Undertaker/Orton was quite good, the women's title match was an inoffensive retain for Trish, and HBK/Angle was good too. Will have to give that another shot sometime as I thought it was "only" pretty good when it's supposedly an all-time great match. All in all, a strange 'Mania in that you should watch most of the undercard and then not bother with the world titles.
5616.03.2023AG327.0Certainly a show of two halves here, the first half being full of great matches from Rey/Eddie to the MITB ladder match to Taker/Orton. The women's match was once again given no time and a rough build and Eugene happened but Angle/HBK ended things on an incredible high with an all-time Mania match. Unfortunately, the show continues from there with Piper's Pit which I've never enjoyed, a dumb Sumo match and two bad title matches. That being said, they crowned two new champions and made some stars even if both matches felt never-ending, identical in formula and ridden by unmotivated champions having to lead the newer stars to their crowning moments. Still, 4 great matches on this show makes this worth the watch.

6113.02.2023Dcarter11538.0Stronger undercard than anything. Only two matches didn't belong at wrestlemania, even then tho I understand why they were on the show (Women's Title and sumo). Both main events kinda shit the bed compared to the earlier half of the show
6209.02.2023arrancar5.0A mediocre show where the somewhat good 1st half was let down by a very weak 2nd half. Eddie vs Mysterio was pretty good. Eddie was nicely aggressive with his submissions and power moves, while Mysterio was great with his agile movements and flawless high-flying. They had great chemistry, especially with the timing of their counters/evasions. Definitely deserved longer. ***1/4 - ***1/2. The MITB match was also pretty good -- total spotfest with the usual limitations that come with multi-man/ladder matches, but undeniable creative. Everyone got time to show off. Some ladder spots were definitely overly choreographed but some were also very impressive, most notably Shelton's stunts. A shame it ended rather anti-climactically as Edge won without much tension, but it was still a fun car crash overall. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Undertaker vs Orton was quite good. Orton did well with his cowardly yet intelligent strategy, showing good sadism and rabidness when finally in control. Taker's usual cold attitude was fun, though him surviving and no-selling so much of Orton's bigger offence was disappointing. They had good chemistry as they traded/attempted their signature moves and finishers, and Orton got some pretty convincing near falls towards the end. ***1/4. Trish vs Christy was worthless but quick and inoffensive. Christy was pretty sloppy but not awful, and Trish's heel work was mostly fine. TS;NR (too short, no rating). Angle vs HBK was a generic and extremely overrated WWE-style forced 'epic'. They began at a painfully boring pace with a nonsensical story of HBK somehow outwrestling Angle. Angle then began targeting HBK's back, but HBK basically never sold it. They both eventually spammed finishers and kick-outs, with HBK surviving a ridiculous amount of offence before finally being put away. I enjoyed their athleticism enough to still enjoy this on a low level, but it was mostly really disappointing. ***. Show vs Akebono was pretty bad, taking ages to start and then just being a hokey worked sumo match once it finally began. TS;NR. JBL vs Cena was monumentally uneventful for a major title match on the biggest show of the year, plus as Cena's crowning moment. JBL was decently aggressive but not very interesting as he dominated at least 90% of the match. Cena sold unremarkably for ages and hit a few brief attacks in response before finally getting a super generic and Hogan-esque forced comeback featuring all his big moves, gifting him the win in less than 2 minutes despite having been dominated for about 5x as long. **1/4. HHH vs Batista was fine. They had decent impact in most of their various exchanges, though there was really nothing else of interest about the match. It was somewhat fun watching Batista get to brutalise and bloody HHH after all he'd put him through, but it's not like he did anything especially exciting in pursuit of that end. Pretty standard formula as Batista fought off HHH's cheap tricks to ultimately win. **1/2

6504.12.2022zachattack202310.0This is one of the best wrestlemania of all time. You have a great opener in eddie vs rey then you have a two instant classic matches in shawn vs kurt and the ladder match. You have the undertaker vs orton and two solid championship matches . This would be the best mania if the championship matches were a little better but this was the mania that set up for the future with orton, cena, batista, and edge all getting a time to shine.

8013.03.2022flightaker3218.0If the two world title matches could have even reached ***1/2 level I think this could actually be up there for best Mania ever. The piper's pit segment was good, the Hogan segment was just there. We also see Orton, Cena, Edge, and Batista stamped into the main event scene Matches from best to worst.: Michaels/Angle ****1/2, MITB ladder match ****1/4, Orton/Taker ***3/4, Mysterio/Guerrero ***1/2, Batista Triple ***1/4, Cena JBL **3/4, Trish vs Hemme *1/2, Show vs Akebono DUD.
8107.03.2022DecentWrestling10.0Best Wrestlemania of all time. Angle/HBK is MOTN and a masterpiece, Eddie/Rey and the MITB were insanely good. Orton/Undertaker was a terrific underrated encounter. Main Event was very well done and a great match. Trish/Hemme was actually good, Trish is a miracle worker. JBL/Cena was underwhelming but still good. Piper Pit and stuff with Hogan was fun. Only down point is Show vs Akebono. 2 Stars Cemented, terrific and important show.
8220.01.2022mbernstein23 While I do think X-Seven is a superior show all around, this is (in my opinion) the most ENJOYABLE Wrestlemania ever... Eddie and Rey is a fun opener, I would give it 3.25/5 just because it is a bit repetitive (and they also have MUCH better matches this year, also Rey keeps fixing his mask). The Money in the Bank hits so hard, IMO it's a 4.5/5, Shelton is just the best and I'm on the edge of my seat every time I watch it... I also think that it is the PERFECT length for this match... Taker and Orton is solid, not spectacular, but the build and the storytelling carries it very well... I still get hooked by that Tombstone near-fall... I'd give it 3.75/5... The women's match is a bathroom break, unfortunately, but following that is MY FAVORITE Wrestlemania match in the modern era (2000-)... HBK and Angle just tear the freakin' house down in every way... the match builds perfectly, and the ending is just brilliant... SO many near falls, SO many false finishes, it's a masterpiece by two of the best to ever do it, easily a 5/5 match... don't care about the Sumo thingy... the unfortunate thing is both main events fall a bit short, with JBL and Cena having a blurgh match that's a 2.5/5, and HHH/Batista being WAY too complicated, so I give that a 3/5... however, no show is perfect, and this one is just so much fun to watch.
8319.01.2022Bluelegend209.0This is probably my favorite Wrestlemania of all time, almost every match was at least good except for the women's match. It created two stars in Cena and Batista and we had the first MITB match which set a high bar for future ones. Angle vs HBK was MOTN.

8916.11.2021Mahrsbars7.0Alot of this show was very in the middle, some bad and some good but alot of in the middle stuff. For the bad, we got Trish and Christy in a laughably short match for the only womens match of the night, Big show and akebono wasting time before the main and Undertaker Orton feeling like an hour despite only going 15 minutes. In the good, we got a good opener from Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. a classic match with Angle and HBK and the first Money in the Bank. Add in the crowning of 2 new babyface champions and you've got a fun show, albiet a little lacking in the match quality house as the show went on. A good watch, but not as much of a hoot retrospectively. Also this is the worst HHH has ever looked imo
