[5.0] "It is my very first whole AEW show, that I just have watched. And man what a bummer. It really is a WCW/TNA mix with all of its atrocities. I hoped it would really be an alternative to WWE and going more like NJPW and other puroresu Brands displaying wrestling as a true sport. Now that would be a revolution for the US teritory, but NAH NAH. It is just the same ENTERTAINMENT BS we are used to from the US. Everyhing was forgettable. MOX vs Omega was certainly the highlight and a quite entertaining bout. Sting's entrance was epic but damn guy, just hang up your boots and give somebody else the spotlight. The commentary is bad as hell, too much guys there. You only need 2 at the announcing table. JR needs also to retire (and I say that as a huge fan of him). Chris Jericho needs to cut his belly weight. My personal highlight was first time seeing Orange Cassidy's Superman..äh I mein Orange punch which is obviously a skit against Roman Reigns stupid move. More funny than that is, that the Orange Punch acutally looks good rather than Roman Reigns punching some holes into the air. Skippable event."

The whole basis of the 'PPV esque episode' was the main event, which was only kept interesting as everyone and their dog saw the title change coming. Omega and Mox didn't show much chemistry and Omega tried to spice things up with a 'I'll see you on Impact' surprise ending, unfortunately there is very little that can make me even consider watching Impact and Omega showing up with his newly-won title is not one of them."

[8.0] "A good show but overrated by the people who rated this episode and in general as well. the main highlight of the show was the debut of Sting and the crowning of a new AEW world champion in Kenny Omega and the start of a working relationship between AEW and Impact. Don Callis aiding Omega and in the process turned heel and were able to pull out the screwjob of the year . The battle royale was very good where almost everybody got to shine and had fun moments and a very entertaining finish. Baker/Hirsch was highly average but was expected considering the current condition of their women's division. Jericho/Kaz was solid and escalated the tension between MJF and Sammy. The tag match was a short fun one but the main event was without a doubt MOTN . A banger of a main event. This week had its lows but was covered by the main event , its outcome and the debut of the icon STING. 8 it is."

The heater's spot was ridiculously bad and "What happened to the gentleman's agreement they talked about? " The promos were hit or miss and the women are nevertheless going down the drain. Nice to see String is still healthy, but where is Shaq and Brodie Lee? and "What happened to the gentleman's agreement they talked about?

[8.0] "Super hyped, well-advertised show featuring Kenny Omega challenging Mox for the AEW title. Easily the most anticipated episode since Dynamite #1. Opening battle royal was outstanding - AEW's Battle Royals are always excellent with a great mix of comedy, furthering story-lines, showcasing talent and there are always big implications for the winner. Jericho / Kazarian was decent and setup what should be a great Inner Circle segment next week. Rhodes / Allin vs Team Taz dragged, waited forever for a hot tag. And then the big reveal that broke the Internet - STING! Sting signed to a multi-year deal. This is incredibly concerning because: 1) Sting isn't going to wrestle. 2) Sting playing GM at TNA for years didn't work. 3) What else is Sting going to do - manage talent? It means less wrestling and more talk, long ring entrances and interference. Speaking of interference, now we get to the main event between the supposed two greatest wrestlers in North America. It's a 30 minute match with some good wrestling for sure, but we were sold short on actual wrestling for a gimmick "screwjob" finish with Don Callis. Very interested to see the "impact" of these strategic moves over the next few weeks. Exciting stuff, hope it works out for the best. Final score 8/10 - it doesn't really get much better than this for a cable TV wrestling show, but the finish of the main event loses a couple points."

[6.0] "The show was alright. The battle royal wasn't that great along with the thing where someone gets to win by being out of the match forever... I'm not a fan of that. Jericho really should adjust his wrestling style so he isn't heaving during a match. The woman's match was good. The tag team match was the highlight of the show and it was cool to see Sting even though what they did with him was weird. Omega and Moxley almost had a good match, I wasn't a fan of Moxley getting to throw chairs into the ring and the two guys deciding to have a slap fight. The match should have ended after Kenny was knocked out and death match wrestler Jon Moxley was knocked out after getting hit with a microphone. The only thing interesting that makes me want to see what happens next is Cody's storyline with Taz."

[8.0] "Indipendently from the point of views and the opinions about what happened this is for sure the most relevant and historic AEW Dynamite ever. As a pure raw emotions point of view it can easly be one of the best weekly shows I have ever seen: watching Sting coming down the aisle gave me goosebumps and only at this point I understood what "Winter is coming" really meant. I think it will go down in history as one of the best moments ever even if We have to consider what Sting will do and how they will use him. AEW was born to give the young wrestlers in the " indy" or "Non WWE" scene the stage to perform in front of a live TV audience and resurrecting a TNT Wrestling Legend (and I am italian and I can barely understand what is like for an American watching the man that made Wrestling great on TNT returning on this channel to perform) could be a double edged weapon. This is a great moment but at 50 plus years old waht can Sting do? Considering the fact that the last time he wrestled he injured himself so bad to force him to retirement (back in Night of Champions 2015 against Seth Rollins)and considering the fact that AEW Fans were the one that called Undertaker "old" and that were sick and tired about WWE always calling back old legends to do great shows like WrestleMania or Saudi Arabia's shows. I don't know if he will only be a vigilante and a pivotal figure in AEW or if he will compete in the ring, of course watching him against Darby Allin (who many times was compared to Sting) would be awesome "MR TNT Wrestling vs TNT champion" but he have to understand what he can really do in the ring. About Kenny Omega winning AEW World Championship I think a sign in Daily's place explained perfectly the concept "Resume Responsability" because, to be clear, AEW was originally created around Kenny Omega, around his legacy made in New Japan, around The Elite and with Kenny as the chief cornerstone this did not happened until last wednesday. Jon Moxley had one of the best title reings in the last few years, and I think it was right time for him to lose the belt and the match itself with Kenny was pretty awesome, but personally I would have preferred a clear victory for Kenny rather than a Heel turning with Don Callis to push Impact Wrestling, because Kenny for all his status and legacy needed to remind the world who the f**k he is... the best bout machine and the Cleaner. Anyway I am happy to see him with the belt after a two year journey. Rating: 8+"

Gute Ausgabe!"

[9.0] "Great storyline building through the battle royale through strengthening Miro, building Sammy vs MJF, making Hardy more evil by having eliminate Isaiah Kassidy, showcasing the Sky-Spears rivalry and having Hangman saved from elimination. Jericho vs Kazarian was just a good solid match, the post-match angle sets up the Inner Circle Ultimatum nicely. Baker vs Hirsch was very average but built-up the Baker and Rosa threat. Cody and Darby vs Team Taz was a good tag team match, however had a poor finish when Starks shoulder was clearly off the mat. Sting's debut was done perfectly created an aura of mystery around his intentions and why he came. The Main-Event was a superb match making Omega look like he is complete pro wrestler while still maintaining Moxley strength. The announcement of the worker relationship between Impact and AEW is massive and hopefully it will lead to a coalition between AEW, Impact, NJPW, ROH et cetera creating loads of new and fresh match-ups."

[10.0] "Pretty much all the matches were solid, the dynamite battle royal set up a lot of storylines made miro look like a monster gave orange cassidy a rub, progressed adam page's angle with the dark order, and the decay of the inner circle. That further carried on too chris jercho vs kazarian which was a good match in itself. Britt baker vs leyla hirsch was good but had an obvious winner. The good thing about it though is that they are building up storylines in the womens division between brott baker and thunder rosa plus the skit between abadon and hikaru shida something that has been a weakpoint for them. The next match was also very good I think that that team Taz should have won but it isn't a momentum ruining loss. While i have seen some people questioning why people are excited for sting he can't wrestle at this point even if he could he shouldn't, I would argue those people are missingbthe point, that is not how aew uses it's legends look at arn, jake the snake, and taz they have been used to elevate young stars. They are their to be mouthpieces or teachers for the newer generations of wrestlers, whether this will work for darby has yet to be seen but based on how they have done it so far, I have faith in aew in this. Plus I think there is a good bit of symbolism there sting has kind of been the face for wwes competition for decades first with wcw then impact. Impact wasn't successful and wcw ended with a huge amount of problems at the end but it the meaning of the statement is clear. Moxley vs omega was a really good match maybe not a match of the year but the strength of the match plus the finish establishing aews and impacts relationship is something that won't be forgotten anytime soon."

I think for the most part it was a typically good episode of Dynamite, but with so much hype on it I'm not sure they delivered the way they wanted to, though admittedly they pulled a good number of viewers so perhaps it's just me. Personally I must say I wasn't very excited for Sting coming in, they got a nice nostalgic moment but what can he do? He can't wrestle and he was never a good promo, and despite some superficial similarities Darby is the last person who needs to be linked with Sting. I was also unhappy with how the main event went, the match didn't grab me like most Moxley defenses, the ending seemed very awkward, and I'm still scratching my head at the last second announcement that they are teaming up with the least popular brand in American wrestling. I suppose we'll see what happens."

The main event as a match was good, but fell well short of my expectations. The opening battle royal did its job in continuing angles, which was the theme throughout the night, with all matches on the show accomplishing something. Overall, though, I don't think this was as good as I have seen others claim, as although there were a few cool moments, outside of the main event the wrestling on this show was really mediocre."

[5.0] "I don't like to rate TV episodes of anything but this had so much hype going into it and I even bought into some of it so here we are. At the time of writing, this is rated at 9. 07. If that's what this episode really was, I don't ever want to see a 6 or lower. There was a kind of nice debut (if not a bit of a dead-end), the battle royal wasn't terrible, and the tag match was okay. The main event was okay in parts too but didn't live up to the hype in the slightest. Kazarian vs Jericho and Baker vs Hirsch were a complete waste of time. The show even ended with "If you want the full story, go out of your way and watch this other thing! ". That's just not being respectful of my time. Too many ad-breaks and pauses in action to facilitate them, which makes it almost impossible to present a good match. I understand why but it doesn't make watching any more enjoyable. I'm at the point now where I don't think this is worth following on a weekly basis. My fallback plan would be to come on here and see which episodes get good ratings and just watch those, but that seems impossible with ratings like these. No offence to anybody. I'm just not liking AEW as much as you guys."

The Jericho/Kazarian match was great in its post-match angle furthering the Inner Circle angle. The Baker vs. Hirsch match was solid and the way it set up Baker vs Thunder Rosa was very good. Sting's debut was epic and he looks great but still including a lot of questions to be asked regarding what he is doing here and the match preceding it was solid as well. Omega vs. Moxley was about as good of a match as you can have on TV and the angle launching the AEW vs. Impact war was a masterstroke of booking. Really really good episode top to bottom."

[8.0] "I don't even know how to rate this one. For most of the night this was a snoozefest. The battle royal was shite, Jericho and Kazarian didn't clash, the almost-break-up of the Inner Circle makes no sense, Baker and Hirsch did not click, the rap by the Acclaimed was awful, the tag team match was filler and then ... what, Sting? What the hell? Why? I mean, it's cool and all, I love seeing the legends, but I have seen Sting for 30 years. At least he gave the rub to Darby Allin, as no other person in the ring needed it. The main event was good and got great late, although you could tell the awful cold was giving everyone trouble. The commentary was all over the place and I thought, man, four people with a microphone is not good at all. Then the quasi interference by Callis. Nobody knew what was going on. Then the title change. I though, man, kinda anticlimactic despite being a great match. Then the revelation: It's a f'n screwjob, Kenny and Callis are fleeing and heading to F'N IMPACT Wrestling on Tuesday? Now that's money and the show did a 180 as far as memorableness goes. I hated most of the night, but I cannot wait to see what comes next."

Solide TV-Action in Match #4. Herrlich."

[10.0] "There's two ways to look at this show. Taken by itself, it's a winner and one of the best shows they've ever done. The battle royal was so much better than it had any right to be; the booking was exceptional throughout and the final few minutes, featuring the best stretch of Miro's AEW run, a fantastic Jungle Boy/Sammy Guevara sequence and a great ending to set up Cassidy vs. MJF was fantastic. Jericho vs. Kazarian was okay (Kaz was way better than Jericho here I thought) with a strong angle coming out due to the Inner Circle tension. Britt Baker vs. Leyla Hirsch was really good; strong technical wrestling between the two and, yet again, a hot angle afterwards in Thunder Rosa coming out, while Hirsch got to take out Rebel afterwards to keep her heat. The Cody/Darby vs. Team Taz match was good, but the big story is obviously the debut of Sting. Going forward there's definitely a chance that AEW uses Sting far too much (especially in situations he shouldn't be in) but this moment, by itself, was bone chilling, between the presentation, Sting's natural charisma and Tony Schiavone's amazing call. That brings us to Moxley vs. Omega, which was off the charts. Completely different than the Full Gear match last year. The ending works for me because Callis helping Omega makes total sense (separate from the Impact stuff) and Omega's heel turn was a matter of when, not if, and cementing it here by having him go back on the Gentlemen's Agreement (that he came up with) was brilliant. The connection with Impact is... something. I'm not particularly moved by it positively or negatively; it gives AEW access to some new talent and some potentially cool angles, but either way I don't really see it making or breaking AEW. But that's something we'll find out going forward. On it's own, this show was exactly what it promised."

And for a better match with no sections where nothing happens due to commercial breaks. In addition, the thing with possible injury was too fake, considering that Omega didn't even bleed, was conscious all this time and didn't even hit his head on the asphalt. I mean, when the match accelerated, it was great, but the commercial breaks and the final swerve looked very cheap. I was completely disappointed with this match. Nothing else on this show came out of the standard TV format of optional feud-building matches. Even Sting's appearance is unexpected and delightful, but I don't understand why the fans are so happy. I? d worked myself into thinking this was going to happen before and it didn? t. I? m 100% here for Sting, mentor to Darby Allin. Just look at that crowd tonight. So long as you treat him right? and I want to see him wrestle a match about as much as I want to see Arn or Tully or Jake wrestle? there? s absolutely a place for Sting in today? s wrestling landscape. Battle royales are always a semi-unwatchable mess but I enjoyed a lot of the story beats, specifically Miro looking strong before facing off with Wardlow, a happy Hangman finding friendship in the Dark Order? give me a showdown between Brodie and Page? and the crowd legitimately booing Matt Hardy when he eliminated John Silver. Silver? s been a huge part of BTE but without a normal crowd at live events, it? s been tough to gauge the reaction. I took tonight as a good sign that Silver? s getting over. I thought Mox/Omega absolutely delivered, and the aftermath opens up all kinds of wild possibilities for the world of wrestling. I? m legitimately excited to see where this leads for all involved."

An invigorating and exciting night of wrestling featuring the shocking return of Sting to TNT after 18, and capped off by a tremendous match and a twist courtesy of Impact Wrestling's Don Callis; everything came together beautifully. The undercard held it's own as well, featuring a fun and story-centric battle royal and very competent matches such as Britt Baker vs. Leyla Hirsch and Chris Jericho vs. Frankie Kazarian. One of the better episodes of Dynamite in AEW's short history. It's one that won't be soon forgotten."

[10.0] "Overall just an incredible TV episode and the most notable so far from AEW. You can certainly argue there have been better shows from an overall quality standpoint, but the moments this had and just overall good quality was fantastic. The battle royal was really fun and put over Miro huge and gave us a terrific Jungle Boy/Sammy sequence. Jericho vs Kaz was really good and a fun TV match ***1/4. Britt vs Hirsch was also a fun TV match to put them both over, Britt vs Rosa should be good ***1/2. Cody/Darby vs Hobbs/Starks was good to continue their story ***. But of course, the Sting debut is the big story and was just an awesome and cool moment. Then Omega vs Mox was a terrific main event. Maybe under par from the huge expectations, but that still means a fantastic match with a wild end ****1/2."

[9.0] "Great show with a really good opening battle royal showcasing a lot of possible fueds for the future. Jericho and Kaz was by the numbers and Britt and Layla was good. Really seeing slow improvements in the women? s division. The tag match was fantastic and the debut of Sting was a genuine surprise, really cool! The main event was good but you can feel that they were holding things back. The end of the match kind of was like ? meh? but I? m excited for AEW/Impact invasion style story. Both rosters are killer and can benefit from each other. Especially the women? s division on AEWs side and the lack of true heavyweights on impact. Overall a fun show !"

[10.0] "This show is the best Dynamite show I've ever seen. Good battle royal match at the beginning, nice encounter between Kaz and Jericho, great tag team match and then Sting's debut! After all of these, really good match between Omega and Moxley, finally a title change. And most importantly, AEW had and agreement with Impact. Wow, what a night, I'm glad that I've witnessed this show live."
