128.03.2024jjcharg772.0this is just a. glorified house show with awful awful results. this did not need to be advertised as a wwe ppv. wwe does not need to be doing shows and having them be ppvs here if to is going to dampen the product. I wonder why anyone was watching back then cause this would have pissed me off even more espically with the political climate at the time that still lingers to today

2116.07.2023NickJammer22214.0Ok it's not the worst PPV of all time but that seems to be influenced by Goldberg winning the Title. There was no outright terrible matches but there was no particularly good ones either it was just a bunch of bland matches

3630.08.2022sbg20220.0Terrible show. Plain and simple. If we ignore the fact that it was held in a country with a rough political climate, it was still a terrible show. If it was held in a different arena anywhere else, it would raise the score a little.
3719.08.2022DarkPrince0.0Gauntlet Match schlecht. Dirt Sheet vs. New Day ein Schwaches Wrestling Match. Den Titelwechsel finde ich jedoch gut. Angel Garza vs. Humberto Carrillo Schlecht.

4304.01.2022AstanaNor1.0As a big WWE fan, I must say, that was the worst WWE show I've ever seen! The only good thing about it was the two matches between Miz & Morrison & New Day and Garza & Carrillo, but the rest was really bad, especially the main event. The Gaunlet Match wasn't good, but yeah The Undertaker was a surprise. Murphy & Rollins vs. Street Profits was a little disappointing. Mansoor vs. Ziggler was only bad for Ziggler. Lesnar vs. Ricochet... Reigns vs. Corbin was boring. Nobody cares about a match between the two. Bayley vs. Naomi was okay, but the main event was the worst I've ever seen. I hope I don't must say anything about it. Hope I will forget that PPV...
4431.12.2021MilkDDTea0.0
4518.12.2021LivingLegend2.0One of the worst WWE shows ever. The trophy match wasn't bad but it didn't feel important. Truth's underdog performance was the only fun part of the match. SmackDown tag title match was really solid and match of the night for sure, topped off with a welcome title change. Garza/Humberto was alright but the crowd was dead silent, as they were for most of this show. Raw tag title was decent. Mansoor/Ziggler wasn't technically bad but they didn't click at all and there were a number of minor botches. Brock/Ricochet was the final nail in the coffin of Ricochet's WWE career. The video package was longer than the match. Roman and Corbin had a lifeless steel cage match when their feud should have ended a month prior. Women's title match was decent enough with a really creative and memorable finish. Main event was a disgrace to wrestling and the beginning of the end of Bray's career in WWE. I knew from the moment the ref hit three that Wyatt would never recover from this, and sure enough, despite another world title win, he never did. Awful show overall but I can't give it a zero because a lot of the matches weren't that bad.

4730.08.2021CeroMiedo3130.0This ppv made my wife leave me because of how terrible it was. She was so disappointed in it that she made me choose to either switch Over to aew or stay with her. I decided to leave her but since then I noticed that aew was not a bunch of midgets and was in fact the greatest wrestling promotion of all time run by a wrestling genius. I am now an aew fanboy and I wear kenny omega underwear while I imagine my ex wife getting railed by her new husband. Thanks vince for ruining my marriage and life

5926.10.2020Dennisiztheman022.0This show isn't the worst Saudi Arabia show but its still bad. The gauntlet match had some decent action but questionable booking decisions (**) Dirt Sheet vs New Day was decent (***) Angel Garza vs Humberto Carillo felt like a match you would watch on Raw rather than a PPV (**) Seth Rollins and his Buddy, Murphy vs Street Profits was good but, again felt like a TV match instead of a PPV one (***1/4) The scheming midget Mansoor vs Dolph Ziggler was surprisingly boring and had another pointless promo for Mansoor. (**) Brock Lesnar vs Ricochet was awful and it completely ruined Ricochet's momentum by having him squashed. (DUD) King Corbin vs Roman Reigns was boring as hell and it didn't help that the feud was getting stale (*3/4) Bayley vs Naomi was ok and I liked the finish. (**3/4) The main event was a complete disaster, Sure Bray Wyatt recovered but it was frustrating that Goldberg can beat the unstoppable Fiend with a botched Jackhammer (DUD)

6414.07.2020IcehandGino3.0No intensity in most of the matches, dead crowd, awful booking decision for the main event. It's a huge disappointment after such a strong Royal Rumble. 3 points for the nice tag team matches which were the only saving grace of the show, which is already better than the awful 2019 iteration of Super ShowDown, not exactly a high bar.
6514.07.2020bbisawesome2.0
6607.07.2020JJB8882.0As fun as it was seeing Undertaker (in a very oddly booked win) and as fun as Miz/Morrison vs. New Day was (match of the night in fact), Super Showdown 2020 really was a pretty disastrous event. The Trophy Gauntlet match had its moments (Truth's uphill battle) but never felt prestigious. The aforementioned SD Tag Title match was the most enjoyable match on the card, with a good and welcome result. Garza and Carillo was disappointingly tame, compared to a far superior Raw encounter. Rollins and Murphy vs. The Street Profits for the Raw Tag Titles was fine but they would have infinitely better matches together with more energy. Mansoor and Ziggler was shockingly dull (save for that cool DDT by Mansoor) and the hometown hero schtick was done one time too many. Lesnar vs. Ricochet was an insult to Ricochet's talent and considering the build, this was a slap in the face that did nobody any good. Reigns and Corbin's godawful feud continued with an uneventful cage match. Bayley vs. Naomi had historical value (first women's title match in Saudi Arabia) but was only ok and seemed to drag a lot longer than its actual duration. However, the main event was really what added the final tap to this quickly cracking card, Goldberg vs. Fiend was a complete fiasco. Nothing about it worked. What could have been a cool clash of the titans was booked as a head shaking squash that could have killed Bray's incredible (the best WWE has seen in years) character (were it not for WrestleMania 36's awesome Firefly Funhouse match weeks later), the decision to build to Goldberg/Reigns ended up not happening due to COVID rendering this result all the more pointless and Goldberg's ego speared any creative decision that could have made this interesting. Why not use Funhouse Bray even, if this is what you were doing? ! A rancid ending to one of the most problematic WWE PPV's since, well, Crown Jewel 2018.

Danach kam ein kleiner Lichtblick mit The New Day vs. Morrison & Miz was ein wirklich Gutes Wrestling Match war. Was ein Zufall.

7626.04.2020Damian0.0One of the worst PPVs of all time. Most of the time I enjoy the Saudi shows, they have a fun atmosphere due to a good crowd and some wacky gimmicky tournament or cup, and I always loved shit like that. This show was just an embarrassment. WWE was on a good streak of shows before this one, but shit the bed hard with this. Literally the only match above *** was New Day vs The Dirt Sheet at ***1/4 and nothing else was even close to a **3/4 rating, let alone *** or above. Also there was no good segment/promo in the whole card. Pure shit.
7822.03.2020DanTalksRasslin1.0On the positive side, the two Tag Title matches were fine (Miz/Morrison vs New Day being especially worth looking up), but overall this one was something of a booking disaster. Goldberg vs. Fiend essentially buried one of the more popular acts in the company in favor of a part-time talent, and could have easily been avoided by simply not putting the belt on the Fiend in the first place as he never needed it. Similarly, Lesnar vs. Ricochet accomplished nothing other than making Ricochet look bad. Mansoor vs. Ziggler wasn't a bad match, but Mansoor desperately needs TV exposure outside of the Saudi specials to make his continued victories worthwhile. And the opening gauntlet match with Taker winning actually could have sort-of worked as a setup for the Taker-Styles Mania match, though Taker posing next to the Nickelodeon GUTS trophy was a rather silly payoff. Aside from matches not involving part-time talent, we also got yet another over-long chapter in the boring Reigns-Corbin feud, which hopefully is now finally over. Still not the worst of the Saudi specials - that would probably still go to Crown Jewel '18 - but there's still not a whole lot to recommend here.

8403.03.2020GBoone0.0So far, no event is more deserving of a 0 in 2020 than Super Showdown 2020. In addition to being yet another event in WWE? s blood money deal with the authoritarian regime of Saudi Arabia, Super Showdown again points to a big problem with WWE today: shoving potential new stars by the wayside in favor the aging old guard. The Undertaker case is marginally forgivable, as it simply setting the possibility of a feud at Mania, be it with Styles or someone else. In the Lesnar and Goldberg matches however, the WWE decides to book a squash that pisses on any credibility Ricochet had left, and put a 53-year old man over one of the most over acts in the WWE. Absolutely sickening.

9629.02.2020Abaddon2.0Match for the WWE and Universal Championships - bottom. Otherwise, it was relatively good. Obviously, Miz and Morrison's match against New Day is the best on the show. Pyrotechnics-tower. Only for it already one point. The second is for all other matches. The show was pulled only by Naomi and Bayley, well, team matches a little. A couple more wins for Mansour in Arabia and they'll start hating him, I guarantee. The Fiend was killed. Ricochet was killed. Thanks for the show!

9929.02.2020Alex Sutcliffe0.0The part timers look strong in their respective matches making the full time talent inferior. The Fiend character is dead, Ricochet didn't even get offense in his match against Brock, Goldberg winning the Universal title was a complete joke, he's past his prime. This ppv shows that WWE doesn't want to make fans happy and they're not thinking about their future because they will have no stars when the part timers are all gone. Also Goldberg vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36 is going to be shit.
10029.02.2020kidkash1.0There are 2 reasons I gave it a one. Reason #1: I liked the fireworks. Reason #2: I laughed out so hard seeing Goldberg winning the title and winning it this way that I almost fell out of the armchair. I know I should have cried but this happened.
