Soma Takao & Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani -vs- Masahiro Takanashi & Mizuki Watase & Keigo Nakamura [* 1/2], MAO & Hiroshi Yamato -vs- Toru Owashi & Super Sasadango Machine [* 3/4], Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai -vs- Konosuke Takeshita & Akito & Shunma Katsumata [**], Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Time Difference 8-Man Battle Royal [* 1/2], Naomichi Marufuji -vs- Kazuki Hirata [** 1/4], Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura (c) -vs- Chihiro Hashimoto & Yuki Iino - (KO-D Tag Title) [** 3/4] Iino & Hashimoto, male and female versions of each other, totally crushed the champs down. It was lovely! Weirdly it ended way too soon, but what went on was good. HARASHIMA (c) -vs- Masato Tanaka - (KO-D Openweight Title) [*** 1/2] Pure Tanaka set-up! And that's not a bad thing for main events like this. Definitely added a lot more ruthless aggression to a DDT match. Tanaka went all in on the exchanges. The guy it careless and goes the extra mile for big matches. Not that HARASHIMA can't go, for he did hang with the aggressive one in a impressive manner. And Sliding D's look murderous! The big show-ended they needed. |

| 7 | 16.04.2020 | Sebastian V | 6.0 | Der Opener ist halt so ein Standard Multi Man Undercard Match. Das Tag Match danach hat dann schon etwas typischen DDT Humor, ist allerdings auch nicht übermäßig bemerkenswert. Das Six Man Tag Match ist in Ordnung, die folgende Battle Royal auch, obwohl diese natürlich auch sehr vom Humor und insbesondere von den Shenannigans von Dino lebt. Das sehr kurze Match zwischen Sasaki und Urano ist als Angle nicht schlecht, hätte aber vielleicht auch lieber als solcher durchgeführt werden sollen. Bis hier hin schleppt sich die Show, aber dann kommt die Steigerung beginnend mit Marufuji gegen Hirata. Dieses Match ist eine sehr gute Mischung aus wrestlerischem Niveau und dem typischen DDT Humor und ich finde es gut, wie man das Gimmick von Hirata mit seiner Brille hier in die Matchstory einwebt. Auch das KO-D Tag Team Title Match gefällt mir gut. Ino und Hashimoto arbeiten als Team wirklich gut zusammen und insgesamt lebt das Match vor Allem von seiner Härte, Intensität und Schlagzahl. Das ME ist dann das MOTN und ein wirklich gutes Match, in dem es erstmal um die methodische Bearbeitung des Gegners geht. Schon da erweist sich Tanaka als zäh und das bleibt auch so bei den folgenden, stiffen Exchanges zwischen den beiden. Aufgrund der Darstellung ist es dann auch überraschend aber durchaus nachvollziehbar, dass Tanaka gewinnt. Es gab insgesamt zwar kein echtes Lowlight aber bis zu den letzten drei Matches plätscherte es so dahin. Diese zogen das Event dann für mich aber noch höher sodass es am Ende eine anständige Show war, welche in meinen Augen 6 Punkte verdient. |

Marufuji ist leider auch nur für etwas Quatsch da. Der Semi Main Event ist ein gutes solides Match. Harashima gegen Masato Tanaka ist dann aber zumindest richtig stark ***3/4. |

Nautilus looked rather strong in their match and the Masato Tanaka vs Harashima was a proper banger. With rest of the Korakuen being quite standard, the last two matches don't elevate the rating higher. |

The comedy hit, the serious tag team wrestling was a hit. They set the foundations of the coming months with the AT/AW title gauntlets. The main event was good with Tanaka showing he still can go and HARASHIMA matching him. Nautilus stepped up as a tag team and Ino and Hashimoto was super fun. |

| 14 | 26.01.2020 | steviecw | 7.0 | This was my first DDT show (I? m a huge Tanaka fan) and I have to admit that I had no idea what was happening for at least 70% of the show but it wasn? t altogether unentertaining. Lots of gifted wrestlers working in a very peculiar style, a bizarre variety show of sorts. The main event however was tremendous and helped me to better understand why so many people are such big supporters of this unique promotion. Long live Masato Tanaka. |
