106.09.2023Scott Bailey6.0There's some clever booking here on the main event side of things, but the problem with this show as a go home show to No Way Out was that the mid card feuds are so threadbare that besides a good double main event for the show, there wasn't much to care about anywhere else. The main event is good, but frustratingly booked with the referee somehow not calling a DQ when Angle shows up. It's not that I want to see lame finishes like that in a main event match at all, but I do want to see consistency with the rules! The Mysterio/Tajiri match is insultingly short although it does have a fun Paez knockout post match. The main story of the show is Kurt Angle getting attacked and taken out with three superstars named as suspects. I remember suspecting he completely faked the attack because of his suspicious actions when Eddie was attacked a few weeks before, and I loved how his interference in the match was consistent with that theory. Brock Lesnar coming out to a mariachi band was one of the funniest things he ever did in the WWE and I loved how that segment went from a light and comedic tone to a fiery Eddie Guerrero moment. There sadly wasn't much to this show with a lot of feuds just thrown together at the last minute and also Michael Cole being completely overbearing about Goldberg attacking Heyman on Raw and buzz killing the Lesnar segment on commentary. No Way Out should have been a duel branded show in my opinion.
220.06.2023flightaker3216.0Rey vs Tajiri getting only three minutes considering their previous matches should be a criminal offense. The story of who attacked Kurt Angle throughout the show was an interesting one, and came back into play in the main event. Eddie/Brock had two weeks to build up their feud, but the brief interactions they had were fantastic and this was no different. I also enjoyed the main event as a match, this was a solid show but doesnt exactly sell you on No Way Out.
Besonders Eddie brachte seine Promo so gut rüber was schon Lust auf den Main-Event von No Way Out macht. Dafür sprang Cena ein was offensichtlich ergibt.

524.01.2019Mizzle Assault Ant6.0Alright Smackdown, mixed bag. Mysterio/Tajiri was good for the criminally short time it got, and Bradshaw/Benjamin was actually good. I liked the main event but the end made no sense, Angle attacks Cena and Show in front of the ref and he just gapes at them stupidly. Really liked the Angle attacked storyline though, and the Lesnar/Eddie promo is legendarily great. No Way Out wasn't built up that well but still some good stuff here.
