"The beginning of the end for NXT. A good show but the wrestling had started to feel homogenous and man was I tired of DIY by the time of the main event schtick. Positives include Poppy performing. The opener was great and the Nox/Dakota match made me a massive Dakota fan and still stands as one of my favourite matches."
[10.0] "Für mich der definitiv Beste WWE NXT Takeover Event, den es jemals gegeben hat! Perfekte Storylines, Perfekte Matches, Perfekte Stage, Perfekte Halle und Perfekte Crowd! Ein einfach ATEMBERAUBENDES Wrestling Event, was einem Wrestling Fan hier geboten wurde. Jedes Match kann man hier zum Match of the Night benennen, dann kommt es aber natürlich wieder auf den eigenen Geschmack an. In meinem Fall war es hier das NXT Championship Match zwischen Adam Cole & Tommaso Ciampa. Im Opener bekommt man ein einfach unglaublich starkes Spotfest von 2 Big Man's geboten. Dijakovic & Keith Lee sind einfach Perfekte Big Guy's und haben eine Unfassbare Chemie im Ring miteinander (****1/4). Dakota Kai vs. Tegan Knox war ein sehr sehr guter Street Fight. Mitinbegriffen das Debut Von Raquel Gonzalez (****). Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano war das Match worauf ich tatsächlich am meisten gehyped war. Das Match war einfach Bärenstark und mit knapp 30 Minuten Matchzeit, konnten beide auch gut was draus basteln. Finn Balor holt sich den Sieg gegen Johnny Takeover und wird Voraussichtlich (So wie es auch gekommen ist) zum NXT Championship gebooked (****1/2). Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair war ein Gutes NXT Women's Championship Match. Auch wenn es gut war das Schlechteste Match leider an diesem Event. Es konnte einfach nicht mit den anderen starken Matches Mithalten (***3/4). Co-Main Event ein Unfassbares NXT Tag Team Championship Match und das beste was ich jemals beim NXT Brand gesehen habe. Normalerweise stehe ich nicht darauf wenn man 2 Gestandene Singles Wrestler zu einem Tag Team Formt, aber hier bei Pete Dunne & Matt Riddle hat es einfach gepasst! The Broserweights sind schon was unterhaltendes und holen sich somit verdient die NXT Tag Team Championship's (*****). Main Event dann (Was ein Zufall) natürlich das beste Match und mein Match Of the Night, wie auch schon zu Anfang dieser Bewertung erwähnt. Einfach ein unglaubliches NXT Championship Match zwischen Ciampa und Cole und es reiht sich definitiv zu den Top 10 NXT Matches Of All-Time ein (*****). Ein Atemberaubender Abend für NXT der einfach Sterne vom Himmel Regnen lassen hat. Volle Punktzahl."
[9.0] "In my opinion one of the best Takeover of all time. Keith Lee vs Dominik Dijakovic is MOTN for me, 20 explosive and destructive minutes, I've had so much fun watching this match (****3/4). Balor vs Gargano isn't fantastic (as maybe people would expect) but it's still a very good match with an incredibile second part (****1/4). I know a lot of people didn't like it because of the unnecessary nearfalls, the lenght and the interferences, but I loved the main event. Adam Cole and Tommaso Ciampa gave us one of the best WWE matches of 2020, 30+ minutes of pure action"
[8.0] "Keith Lee (c) -vs- Dominik Dijakovic - (NXT North American Title) [** 1/2] I'm simply not feeling the chemistry between these two. It was the same with the PWG match they had a few years ago. They do some big stuff, some of it looking great, but the rest doesn't look right to me. Shame because some feel this was the best match on the show. I felt it was the worst. Dakota Kai -vs- Tegan Nox - (Street Fight) [** 3/4] This feud felt more real, and the match was surprisingly good considering these two's track-record. Pleasantly surprised. Finn Balor -vs- Johnny Gargano [*** 1/2] I was expecting miracles with Balor's NXT return, but what we got was quality enough, Built-up nicely and always had be engaged. Just wasn't anything legendary. Rhea Ripley (c) -vs- Bianca Belair - (WWE NXT Women's Title) [***] This had a good thing going. didn't get it to peak, but I was enjoying what I was seeing. Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly (c) -vs- Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne - (NXT Tag Title) [*** 1/4], Pretty awesome. Not sure they found a proper identity to the match, but it sure had a lot of cool stuff going on. Adam Cole (c) -vs- Tommaso Ciampa - (NXT Title) [*** 3/4] A little overbooked, but within the NXT "Universe" it worked nicely for a climax feel. Honestly, wasn't expecting anything else considering who these guys were and the time they were given. They closed the show in a big way!"
[7.0] "All in all a pretty consistant and entertaining show. It's a little too much at times, though, with every match trying to steal the show. There's an art to booking a well-paced card and I think this falls a little short, especially once the main event is done and dusted. It's probably best to watch each match individually to allow yourself some breathing room, otherwise everything starts to blend."

(***) Finn Balor vs Johnny Gargano was fun to watch and both men were excellent in the match! (****1/2) Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley was good but nothing too special. Charlotte Flair appearing at the end was a nice surprise. (***1/4) Broserweights vs Undisputed Era to me is MOTN. All four men put on an intense match and I love the chemistry with Matt and Pete. (****3/4) Adam Cole vs Tommaso Ciampa was another amazing match and again the storytelling was great! The ending was bitter cause Johnny Gargano turning heel made no sense to me. (****) A great NXT Takeover and its up there as one of the best NXT Takeovers of all time."

[10.0] "NXT Takeover Portland kann man mit absoluter Sicherheit, zu den Top 5 NXT Takeover's stecken (Bis jetzt, man weiß ja nicht was NXT bei ihren Takeover Events noch alles so abreißen wird). Opener Zwischen Dominik Dijakovic und Keith Lee hat schonmal die Messlatte ganz weit oben angesetzt! Das die beiden ja eine unfassbare Chemie miteinander im Ring haben wusste man ja schon vorher, aber das die beiden hier so ein Feuerwerk an Spots auf die Beine stellen.. unfassbar krankes Match (****1/2). Tegan Nox vs. Dakota Kai im Street Fight war auch sehr gut. Den Eingriff von Reina brauchte ich zwar nicht, da ich Dakota Kai um ehrlich zusein auch einfach nicht gerne sehe, aber es ist okey, Kai eine Powerhouse Dame an die Seite zu stellen, da sie einfach nicht Charismatisch genug ist um alleine zustehen (***1/2). Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano unfassbar stark! Also was Die beiden da abgerissen haben ist einfach krank. Beides absolute Top Männer im Ring und das haben die beiden auch gezeigt (****3/4). Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair das schlechteste Match an diesem Takeover, aber nicht weil es wirklich "Schlecht" war sondern einfach weil die restliche Card an dem Abend einfach zu stark gewesen ist. Fande sogar das Street Fight Match besser. Das Rhea hier gewinnt war denke ich mal klar und das sie den Spot gegen Charlotte bekommt auch. NXT Tag Team Titel Match Zwischen der Undisputed Era (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) und den Broserweights (Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne) würde ich als eins der besten Tag Team Matches beschreiben die es in der WWE je gab! Beide Teams harmonieren einfach so gut miteinander wie auch gegeneinander und es hat einfach Spaß gemacht zu zugucken. Das einzige Problem.. es war leider etwas zu kurz (****3/4). Über Adam Cole gegen Ciampa kann man eigentlich nur das selbe sagen wie zu Gargano vs. Balor. Ciampa war drauf und dran sich Goldie wiederzuholen, scheiterte jedoch wegen Gargano was zu einem neuen Kapital in dem Geschichtsbuch Gargano vs. Ciampa führt. Match war wie gesagt sehr gut (****3/4). Fazit: Ich kann mich einfach nicht entscheiden welches Match das Match of the Night gewesen ist.. deswegen habe ich gleich 3 Matches Of The Night. Adam Cole vs. Ciampa, Gargano vs. Balor und The Undisputed Era vs. The Broserweights. Ein richtig richtig starker Takeover Event und sogar einer der bei mir unter die Top 5 Kommt."

[10.0] "Ohne Frage ist diese Takeover in den Top 6 enthalten. Der Opener war richtig gut. Diese beiden haben Chemie und das haben sie in diesem Match wieder bewiesen. Wir gaben es auch im Nachhinein öfters gesehen, aber das war das beste Match von denen in NXT. Dann ging es weiter stark weiter. Kai vs Nox war wrestlerisch nicht brilliant, aber das hat niemand erwartet denn das war ein extreme Rukes Match in dem es viele gute Momente gab. Der finish war nicht wirklich gut. Gargano vs Balor war ebenfalls richtig gut. Beide sind Top Stars und auch die Fehde dahinter war sehr gut. Ripley vs Belair war das einzige Match auf der Card was mir nicht wirklich gefallen hat. Das Tag Team match war brilliant. Das ist klar ein vorzeiger für Tag team wrestling. Cole VS Ciampa ist ein most watch. Es gab so viel Drama und auch wrestlerisch wurde hier viel le geboten."
[8.0] "Eine recht starke Show, die kein schlechtes Match hatte. Lee/Dijakovic kommt nicht an das PWG-Match ran, ist aber dennoch solide(***). Kai/Nox ist eine schöne Überraschung, denn ich habe überhaupt nicht erwartet, dass das so gut wird(***3/4). Gargano/Balor bleibt unter meinen Erwartungen. Kein schlechtes Match, aber auch kein gutes(**1/2). Ripley/Belair ist solide(***). Tag Team Match eines sehr gutes Match(****). Main Event zwischen Cole und Ciampa hatte das Zeug dazu ein MOTYC zu werden, wird aber für mich persönlich durch das Ende ruiniert. So bleibt es halt nur ein sehr gutes Match(****)."
[9.0] "Great show everything rated between 3 1/2 and 4 1/4 for me. Lee & Dijakovic had a GREAT high impact opener. Nox & Kai were having a street fight that was building to be great, but the mystery woman interference halted that. Rhea and Bianca was a good hoss battle, it needed more time and a hotter ending though. The tag match was balls-to-the-wall fun. I feel like they were teasing the Brosers losing and Pete turning, so I was definitely surprised they pulled it out. Match of the night for me. Balor/Gargano was good, but not great, I felt like the goal in getting Balor a clean win over an established NXT name didnt warrant them going nearly half an hour and while all the work was good, you couldve chopped 8 or 9 minutes off and had a quality match. Cole & Ciampa had a great performance from Ciampa, but everything after the Canadian Destroyer was overkill to me. It was still a quality match and I appreciate the effort, but they just went overboard."
[9.0] "Nahezu perfekter PPV, keine kurzen zusammengewürfelten Füller Matches, wie es im Hauptkader leider zur Normalität geworden ist. Alles ergibt Sinn und wurde gut aufgebaut. Im Ring fallen dann leider Rhea und Bianca etwas hinter dem durchweg starken Rest zurück, was aber bei der vergleichsweise kurzen Matchzeit nicht weiter ins Gewicht fällt. Der Main Event war vielleicht 5 Minuten zu lang bzw. overbooked, aber das ist Jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau und das Ende um Ciampa/Gargano reißt es wieder raus."
[10.0] "NXT liefert hier nicht die perfekte Show, aber dennoch ist die Leistungsdichte so hoch, dass es hier ins oberste Regal geht. Lee und Dijakovic haben gewiss ihre Schwächen im Aufbau, aber ist dennoch ein guter Opener. Man versucht vielleicht etwas zu verkraft, den PWG-Fight auf WWE-Verhältnisse umzuschreiben, aber das stört nur im Hinterkopf, nicht beim Sehen. Kai und Nox haben ein paar giftige Momente und füllen die Stipulation durchaus gut mit Leben. Bei einem Füll-Event kann man so ein Finish bringen. Für mich völlig legitim. Balor und Gargano liefern dann nicht das ganz typische NXT-Formular und das fühlt sich bei Gargano dann auch etwas ungewohnt an, aber das funktioniert hier dennoch einfach gut. Das zweite Damen-Match bietet dann das "Lowlight" der Show. Kurz: es ist kein Lowlight, sortiert sich mit (***½) jedoch auf Platz 6 ein, liefert aber immer noch Matchguide würdiges Material. Die Makel sind nicht zu übersehen, aber dennoch unterhält das hier gut. Das Aftermath eben auch. Und dann zeigt NXT mal wieder, dass sie wissen, wie (und dass) Tag Team-Action in der WWE funktioniert. Sehr kurzweiliger Schlagabtausch von vier begnadeten Wrestlern. Schöner Steigerung, viele gute Sequenzen und ein wirklich gutes False Finish, welches mich schon überzeugt hatte. Die Kritik am Main Event verstehe ich schon, aber dennoch zeigen beide Worker für mich ein ausgesprochen gutes Match. Gutes Storytelling, gute Action, passendes Finish. Das alles stark gesteigert und mit viel Spannung. Würdiger Abschluss eines wirklich guten Events."
[8.0] "Von A bis Z eine runde Show, gänzlich ohne Ausfall und fast durchgehend auf dem selben, überdurchschnittlichen Niveau. Man konzentriert sich wieder auf Singles-Competition und Geradlinigkeit im Konzept, ohne zu grossen Schnickschnack rund um Stipulations. Der Opener ist eine nette Impact-Story, während die Damen danach wirklich überraschen. Balor erhebt sich in NXT und der Schaden an Gargano reicht bis in den Mainer. Belair hingegen überpinselt gekonnt Ripleys leicht grüne Züge und die Tag-Teams liefern feine Kost. Das Hauptmatch ist sehr unterhaltsam und routiniert und man baut abschliessend einen Cliffhanger, der nicht jedem gefallen wird. Gute Show."
[9.0] "Great show in which every match, taken on its own, delivered. Broserweights vs. reDRagon was probably the best of the night, with Cole-Ciampa, Lee-Dijakovic and Balor-Gargano not far behind. The only major nitpicks I can make is that, with every match going for the "epic" format, there can be a bit of burnout if the entire event is watched at once, and Gargano's heel turn seems too soon after his last turn-and-turn-back (and I think he excels as a face and Ciampa as a heel), but overall another excellent entry in the TakeOver series."

The opener and the tag match were the highlights of the show, although Keith and Dijakovic have had much better in the past. Both women's matches surpassed my expectations going in, with the street fight in particular being very entertaining. Elsewhere Cole Vs Ciampa started well, but became overly dramatic just like every other NXT main event has to be nowadays, whilst Gargano vs Balor started slowly, but became somewhat decent by its finish. Overall, this was a solid show, but I wouldn't mind a reshuffle within the men's singles roster, as a lot of the stuff involving Gargano, Ciampa and the UE, has grown stale with me."

[7.0] "It is a show with a great match (Lee vs Djakovic), two good matches (Tag Team and Main Event), two nice matches (women's matches) and a decent but overrated match (Balor vs Gargano). The show doesn't have a great build up, but it delivers nice wrestling stuff."
[8.0] "Opener wirkt sehr Indy, da beide mit Macht beweisen wollen, dass sie auch fliegen können. Allerdings fand ich die Sequenzen als beide Heavyweights aufeinander prallen wesentlich cooler und interessanter. Dennoch ein gutes Match, vielleicht etwas zu lang. Dakota Kai vs. Teagan Nox war für mich die positive Überraschung. Die beiden geben es sich so richtig und haben ihre Chance absolut genutzt, gutes Match. Balor vs. Gargano beginnt mit Chain Wrestling, was überhaupt nicht zur Fehde passt. Als es dann aber richtig losgeht und beide endlich die nötige Intensität transportieren, wurde es gut. Ripley vs. Belair war auch ganz gut. Tag Team Title Match ist wohl auch mein MOTN. Richtig stark fand ich hier erneut Kyle O'Reilly, der das Match ganz klar führt und eine immense Präsenz hat. Der Main Event hat etwas zu viel von allem. Zu viel Matchzeit, zu viele Highspots, zu viele Eingriffe. Trotzdem immer noch gut aber hier wäre weniger, mehr gewesen."
[9.0] "Another great Takeover, though it had a few issues. Dijakovic and Lee took each other to the limit in an absolutely fantastic opening match. I never watched their first match, but this was the ultimate indy style big man match, and I loved it. Dijakovic was the real star in this one. Kai vs Nox was a fun street fight, although just shy from a classic. Action was solid and played to the rivalry well, but you would expect something more given the story. Balor and Gargano had a great match. Story, action and intensity. Balor targeting the leg of Gargano and brutalizing him on the outside, as well as Gargano with the back to back submissions to try and win the match were some of the minor highlights. However, this was marred by the length. Did get boring and tedious at times. Belair and Ripley has a really good match, with Belair really shining in this one. I found that these two have really good chemistry with one another. Needed less Charlotte afterwards though. No need for main roster folks invading NXT again. Tag titles match... well, MOTN. Match was high energy from the start and I have say, the crowd helped a lot with this one. Reactions were off the roof. Finish was great and all four gave us a fantastic tag match. Main event had plenty of action and told a wonderful story, but it did go longer than it needed to. A lot of times I felt the match should have been over. Still, really good match with a shocking finish. In all honesty, this was a great event but 30 minute matches are overrated and took a lot of my energy out."
[9.0] "Is it possible for there to be a BAD NXT TakeOver event! ? Well, from the way this show went down, we got our answer: it is impossible. Yet another show that delivered in SPADES, especially the opening bout and the tag team match. The street fight was enjoyable and satisfying, even with the botched finish. Balor vs Gargano was yet another instant classic from Johnny Wrestling. The women? s match had a nice sprint towards the end, which ended up being better than a lot of Shayna? s matches last year. And the main event was excellent with a shocking ending that opens many doors for NXT? s future. My ratings are as followed: Lee vs Dijakovic: 9/10 Kai vs Nox: 7/10 Balor vs Gargano: 9/10 Ripley vs Belair: 7. 5/10 Broserweights vs Undisputed Era: 9. 5/10 Cole vs Ciampa: 9/10 Seriously, when four matches out of six go above the 9/10 rating, you know that this show was incredible, and ranks among some of best NXT TakeOver events ever."

[10.0] "Das Takeover beginnt und das gleich mal mit meinem MOTN. Ich hatte eigentlich gedacht, ich will die Paarung der beiden nicht mehr sehen - und dann belehren sie mich eines besseren. Sie zeigen eine richtig gut erzählten und gepaceten Hybriden aus Strong Style Match und Big Man Spotfest mit gutem Selling, der zu keinem Zeitpunkt zu lang oder gar langweilig aber auch nicht spotty wirkt mit Nonstop Action und vielen tollen Aktionen. Das zweite Match macht gut weiter, da Dakota und Tegan von Anfang an intensiv zur Sache gehen und ich finde auch, dass das Ende zu Dakotas Charakter passt und noch mehr Sympathie für einen potentiellen Pay Off aufbaut. Balor und Gargano ist dann wieder eine ganz andere Art von Match: Methodisch, technisch versiert, aber auch klimatisch aufgebaut und spannend - und genau wie der Opener sehr gut. Das Ripley gegen Belair danach das "schwächste Match" ist, sagt eine Menge über die Qualitätsdichte der Show aus, da es ein unterhaltsames Match mit durchgängiger. flüssiger Action hat, nachdem die ganze Geschichte mit Charlotte gut weiter geführt wurde. Danach gab es dann für mich sehr unterhaltsame Comedy mit Riddle und Dunne, bevor die beiden ein Match gegen UE zeigten, dass an DIY oder Revival Classics erinnert. Zuerst dominieren die Heels diabolisch und versiert ( vor Allem technisch) bevor sich die Underdogs perfekt zurückkämpfen. Hier hat so viel gestimmt in Sachen Timing, Psychologie und Spots. Auch im ME stimmte einiges da es zum Abschluss ein Match gab, welches sich gar nicht so lang anfühlte wie es war und eine unglaublich gute Charakterdynamik transportierte, welche in diesem Heelturn von Gargano kulminierte, der einfach perfekt reinpasste. Diese Show war eines der besten Takeovers und das auch, weil es mehr als die Summe seiner Teile war. Die Cardplatzierungen waren on point, das Booking, der Abwechslungsreichtum - ich habe wirklich nichts zu kritisieren und gebe deswegen 10 Punkte. Das war auf einem Niveau mit New Orleans und N"
[10.0] "So ein geiler TakeOver war das am Sonntag Nacht! Es fing an mit Keith Lee vs. Dominik Dijakovic um den North American Title. Das Match war richtig krass. Das zeigt wieder, dass wuchtige und kräftige Menschen auch echt beweglich sein können. Keith Lee gewinnt hier, was auch völlig in Ordnung ist. Dakota Kai vs. Tegan Nox war ein gutes und extremes Match. Ein Überraschungsauftritt gab's auch. Raquel Gonzalez, die Dakota Kai zum Sieg verhalf. Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano war anfangs ein bisschen langweilig, aber im Laufe des Matches wurde es immer besser und besser. Ein ordentliches und gutes Match. Dass Balor gewinnt war schon etwas klar. Ripley vs. Belair war im Gegensatz zu den anderen Matches deutlich schwächer. Es war nicht schlecht, aber man hätte noch mehr rausholen können. BroserWeights vs. Undisputed Era war mega gut. Ein richtig gutes Match! Und es gibt endlich neue Tag Team Champions! Der Main-Event war ebenso mega gut. Ich hätte zwar Ciampa gerne als Champion gesehen, aber naja, was will man machen? Die Attacke von Gargano gegen Ciampa war mega überraschend! Fazit: In diesem PPV gab's viele Überraschungen und viele gute Matches, deswegen auch die volle Punktzahl."
[8.0] "Lee and Dijak had a very good and fun to watch opening match, even though I've already seen them fight on NXT at least 5 times in the last several months. Dakota and Tegan followed with a street fight that was good until it was interrupted by some random girl nobody in the building knew or cared about, which ruined the finish. Balor and Gargano started slow but ended up having a decent match. They both had much better matches in the past with other people, which made this one a bit underwhelming considering the standard Gargano set for his TakeOver matches. Rhea vs Bianca felt like a TV match to me, not PPV caliber, but it wasn't bad. BroserWeights and Undisputed Era could have easily headlined the show, as it was arguably the best match on the card. In my opinion, changing the titles was a good decision, because if you exclude those couple of short reigns by other teams, the UE have been the champions since late 2017, and the team of Dunne and Riddle seems to be really getting over. The main event was Cole vs Ciampa, which wasn't at the level of matches Cole had with Gargano last year, but it was very good nonetheless."
[9.0] "Das war mein das ich ein Takeover gesehen habe und muss sagen WOW. Es war einfach nur Phenomenal. Die Show beginnt stark mit Lee gegen Dominik (****1/4). Wir hatten schon viele Matches von den beiden gesehen aber das war mit Abtsand das beste. Für zwei Heavyweights gab es sehr viel High Spots, was ziemlich beachtlich ist. Das Street Fight Match hat mich positiv überrascht. Ich ging mit der Erwartung rein das dies das schlechteste Match auf der Card wird, jedoch war es tatsächlich eins der besseren. Man hat die Agressivität und Hass im Match gespürt. Ebenfalls gab es viele "extreme" Spots. Der Finish hat für mich das ganze Match in einem verschlechtert. Es war enttäuschend das es so geendet ist. Balor gegen Gargano war wie erwartet großartig(****1/4). Die beiden haben Chemie und im Match gab es gutes Storytelling. Belair gegen Ripley war naja nicht wirklich gut. Es war zu kurz und zu langsam. Definitiv das Low in diesem Even (***1/4). Charlotte gegen Ripley kann ein gutes Match werden. Das MOTN war definitiv das Tag Team Match(****1/2). Ich bin ein absoluter Broserweight Fan jedes Match was sie hatten war richtig gut, dieses Match war keine Ausnahme. Es gab soviele Spots und so viele Nearfalls. Die Krönung war hier das die Broserweights tatsächlich neue Champs wurden. Der Main Event war auch sehr sehr gut(****1/2). Am meisten haben mir hier das Storytelling gefallen. Es wurde duetlich gezeigt das Ciampa den Titel gewinnen muss und will. Auch das Ending mit dem Turn von Gargano war exzellent. Alles in einem ein unglaubliches Takeover."
[10.0] "This was top to bottom an incredible show. Even the worst match on the card was still good. //// The opening match was a battle of giants so it was a lot of attempts to gain power which was great. It wasn't an overly flashy match so when they did their big spots it really had a bigger impact. Both men did moves no men their sizes should be able to do. (****1/4) //// Kai vs Nox was high intensity right from the beginning. Surprisingly stiff match with good intensity by both. The ending did kill it a bit BUT that final table spot to Teagan was nasty. (****) //// Gargano vs Balor was fantastic but perhaps a little underwhelming from what I was expecting. It went on for 27 minutes and did not need to go nearly that long so it did drag. I am a big fan of heel Balor and the crowd was really into it. Both men wanted to tear each other apart. (****1/4) ////Ripley vs Belair started off a bit sloppy but quickly gained its footing. They honestly had me convinced at some parts that Bianca was going to win. Speaking of Bianca, she is insanely athletic and really showcased that here. (***1/2) //// Tag match was 100% MOTN. There are not enough characters to describe it. Just tag team wrestling at its best. (*****) //// I felt the main event suffered the same fate as the Gargano/Balor match in that it went far longer then it needed to. Overall it was a great match with Ciampatrying with everything in him to get back the title. The UE run-in is very tiresome by now but the Gargano twist was good. (****1/2)"
[9.0] "Amazing event! The matches were well-placed and pretty good, we had the predictable Charlotte Flair apparition, but it was cool anyway. NXT always delivers good shows with good matches, and this one is no exception, it's just f'n good, you spend three hours of your life and don't notice, because things happens just too fast. Congratulations, Triple H, this was awesome."
[9.0] "Richtig starker PPV! Habe in den letzten Wochen eigentlich kein NXT geschaut und trotzdem haben mich die Matches in ihren Bann gezogen, weil sie größtenteils richtig gut waren. "Lowlight" der Show war das Women's Championship Match, aber auch dies war noch solide bis gut. Dennoch denke ich, dass die Paarung ein wenig mehr hätte zeigen können. Der Main Event war mein MotN. Ein toll aufgebauter Kampf, auch wenn die zahlreichen Eingriffe das Gesamtbild ein wenig getrübt haben. Kleinen Abzug gibt es für Beth Phoenix, die mir am Kommentar nicht wirklich gefallen hat. Lee vs. Dijakovic (*** 1/2), Kai vs. Nox (*** 1/2), Balor vs. Gargano (*** 3/4), Ripley vs. Belair (***), The Undisputed ERA vs. The BroserWeights (****), Cole vs. Ciampa (**** 1/2)."
[9.0] "Sehr gute Ausgabe von NXT Takeover. Der Opener war sehr gut. Noch vor dem Match zeigt Poppy eine tolle Performance. Fantastischer Beginn zwei eigentlichen Powerhouses die jedoch sehr viel geflogen sind. Alleine durch diese Performance hat es Dijakovic verdient den NXT North American Titel halten zu dürfen. Die Women waren solide. An sich war der Street Fight glaubhaft vorgeführt worden nur das Ende war ein richtiger Abfuck. NIEMAND wusste wer Raquel Gonzalez ist. Anschließend gelang der Schubser durch den Tisch nicht und somit gewann Dakota. Dakota musste eigentlich alleine gewinnen und das Debut von Raquel hätte bei einer NXT Show stattfinden sollen. Für mich ein großes Minuspunkt. Gargano vs Balor war gut. Es war abzusehen das Balor siegen wird. Starkes Match. Die Women #2 waren in Ordnung. Das ging klar. Nach dem Match attackiert Charlotte beide und verkündet das die Rhea bei Wrestlemania herausfordert. Undisputed Ära vs Broserweights war exzellent. Was für ein geiles Match. Riddle und Dunne harmonieren so fantastisch das der Titelwechsel einfach sein musste. Der Main-Event war exzellent. Ich hatte gehofft das Ciampa sich den Titel holt. Der Wheelbarrow Suplex gegen den Kommentatorentisch war übel und sonst gab es viele harte Moves. Man wagt es erneut Gargano zum Heel zu machen da er sich den Titel vor Ciampas Augen schnappt und zuschlägt."
[8.0] "Lee VS Dijakovic: pretty average considering what I was expecting for, even if the crowd were chanting with every single move they did it didn't impress me, in fact, made it annoying. Very slow with some good stops in the middle that rise the quality of the fight. But even, I was expecting so much more of this [***]; Nox VS Kai: In fact this was very good, very high intensity since the beggining; Dakota's heel gimmick is impressive, I love her, and tegan giving perfectly well the underdog role. The final was a bit nosense, and by that reason this match doesn't get a higher score [****]; Balor VS Gargano: the best Finn balor's match in a long time, how much he needed to be here in NXT. I loved how the match was getting more and more intensity with each move from Balor, and how at the middle Gargano reincarnates and gets a hell of a fight. Very very good. The best i've seen in WWE for Balor. [*****]; Ripley VS Belair: Also very intense match, Belair is one of the best female wrestlers of all three brand of WWE. Since Ripley is champion, had put very good matches, including this one. The only bad thing was the tme, if the time they were given had been longer, it would be perfect. [****1/4]; Undisputed Era VS The Broserweights: Almost like all they fights in the tag team classic, good match. It's pretty interesting how it combines the Riddle's wrestlin style with the british strong style from Dunne. [****1/4]; Cole VS Ciampa: sadly i wasn't to much into this match, despite the fact they are two great wrestlers and their rivalry have been very impressive. They told a good story in the ring, but did not as much to get the MOTN. [****1/4] Began with an average match, and ended with a better fight. Was a good event, even not as good as another Takeovers"
[10.0] "NXT does it again. The standards of Takeovers New Orleans and New York seem impossible to reach, but this was another great card where every match delivered"
[9.0] "Ich muss sagen, es war von Anfang bis zum Ende ein wirkliches Spektakel wie man es ja inzwischen in der Vergangenheit schon von NXT Takeover gewohnt ist. Der Opener war grandios, was diese beiden wieder einmal ablieferten ist einzigartig und sorgte für einige OMG Momente. Tegan Nox vs. Dakota Kai war ebenfalls ein mit viel Intensität und Härte ausgeführtes Street Fight Match. Das Ende und der Auftritt von Reina Gonzalez war leider ein wirklicher Stimmungskiller. Gargano und Balor liefern ein nettes technisches Strong Style Match ab. Das Womans Title Match war unterhaltsam und das vielleicht beste Singles Match von Bianca Belair. Der Co-Main Event war mein absolutes MotN. Der Main Event, war mir leider etwas zu overbooked, aber schlussendlich war das wieder einmal ein grandioser Takeover und es lohnte sich bis 04:00 Uhr morgens aufzubleiben."
[8.0] "Nachdem die letzten paar Takeovers alle doch recht enttäuschend waren und mit Wargames 3 der absolute Tiefpunkt erreicht war hat man hier wieder eine absolut hervorragende Show abgeliefert, womit ich überhaupt nicht gerechnet hätte. Keith Lee vs Dominik Dijacovic im Opener war schon gleich das erste Highlight und imo das zweitbeste Match am Abend. Die beiden haben einfach eine so geniale Chemie und hauen hier gleich einen weiteren Klassiker raus. Tegan Nox vs Dakota Kai war underwhelming. Ich habe mir mehr erwartet, aber wirklich flüssig wurde es nie. Das Finish war absoluter Bullshit. So ein Eingriff hat in solch einer persönlichen Fehde nichts zu suchen. Wow Reina Gonzalez ist back und damit noch dazu die denkbar langweiligste Person, die diesen Spot bekommen konnte. Finn Balor vs Johnny Gargano war gut, aber in etwa 10 Minuten zu lang. Es war ein typisches Finn Balor Match und bei aller sympathie schafft Balor es dennoch sehr selten über dieses Niveau hinauszugehen und hier eben auch nicht. Rhea Rhipley vs Bianca Belair war, was es war. Wohl das beste Match von Bianca Belair, aber mit jeder anderen gegnerin wäre das Match besser gewesen und es ist ja nicht so als hätte man bei NXT niemand anderes. Dadurch dass beide aber sehr wenig technisch agieren, passen sie im Ring aber trotzdem sehr gut zusammen. Tag Team Titelmatch war gut, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Matches auf diesem Niveau hatten wir jetzt auch schon zig mal bei Takeover. Dass die Broserweights gewinnen war abzusehen. Der ME war das MOTN überraschenderweise. Das beste Match von Adam Coles Titelrun. Das Showing von Ciampa war sicherlich overpowered, aber nie unpassend. Es brachte eine tolle Dynamik in das Match und machte es zu einem wirklich harten Fight. Auch hier aber war das Finish lame. Ich will Gargano vs Ciampa nicht noch einmal sehen, was will man da noch hinzufügen? Gute Matches, schlechte Finishes, wenig Überraschungen aber auch kein wirkliches Lowlight."
[10.0] "SPOILER: Ach, das macht doch keinen Spaß mehr, wenn die Erwartungen immer erfüllt oder übertroffen werden. NXT hat für mich, nach den "nur guten" Wrestle Kingdoms, sogar den Platz 1 in Sachen Wrestling weltweit inne, was sich die WrestlerInnen auch schlichtweg über Monate hinweg verdient haben. Das muss man mal schaffen, dass man allen sechs von sechs Matches auf einer Card so entgegenfiebert wie hier! Keine "Piss Break", keine Langeweile, nur pures Wrestling par excellence. Man könnte das hier noch ausweiten, aber ich will ja auch nicht als Mark dastehen. Um meine credibility hier zu unterstreichen, würde ich gerne auch was negatives anmerken, aber das ist bei diesem Takeover einfach nicht möglich (man muss erstmal sehen, wohin der Turn von Gargano führt, deswegen würde ich das nicht, wie einige andere hier und in diversen Wrestlingforen, direkt vorverurteilen). Alle Matches bewegen sich zwischen ***1/2 und *****, alle WrestlerInnen verdienten es auf der Card zu stehen, und eines der "most anticipated matches" zwischen Strong und Dream hatte hier nicht mal mehr Platz und findet Mittwochabend statt. Man denkt, irgendwann muss das doch mal ein Ende haben mit den starken Takeovers, und dann bekommen wir hier eines der besten aller Zeiten geboten. Für die Zukunft von NXT und Wrestling als Ganzes ist gesorgt!"

[5.0] "Tag Title match was really great, Lee/Dijak good enough, and I was partial to women's street fight. The biggest takeaway for me, personally, is this bizarre bastardisation of NXT as a product. Bryan Alvarez, for as resistant as I was to his claims initially, is absolutely correct in his assertion of NXT being a big-budget indy; as crystalised by tonight's TakeOver event, with the Gargano and Cole matches serving as specific nails in the coffin, NXT has become s super-indy showcase with strong funding and public following. If that's what you're after, kudos. But after 20 years of watching the US indy style, and having grown complacent with it years ago, this is not what I want to see by any means. Decent show, to be fair, but emblematic of my growing concerns for the brand."
[8.0] "If I could give this like an 8. 5, I would. Thought Lee vs Dijakovic and Riddle/Dunne vs UE were awesome. Bianca/Rhea was pretty good too, as was Tegan/Dakota. I wasn't into Balor/Gargano at first but it picked up toward the end. And Ciampa vs Cole was okay but like a lot of Adam Cole matches, it seems to just be finisher kickout heavy without much story to it. The Gargano twist made it worth it though. But still can't get over Lee vs Dijak. What a match!"
