[4.0] "This show is a perfect reflection of RAW in 2003, many big names and star power but generally poor (sometimes average) in-ring quality. The best match here is Kane vs Shane which is crazy when you see the names in the triple threat or Orton vs Michaels... The awful storylines between Test, Steiner and Stacy and with the commentators don't help the show to be better. I didn't have any expectations on the main event so I wasn't disappointed to see how bad it was. Goldberg winning the title is not a bad choice because he was really over at that time."

[3.0] "Unforgiven 2003 was the site of Goldberg's big World title victory. In a pretty boring main event match against HHH, WWE finally made up for the horrid finish of Summerslam, but it all felt a bit too little too late. Unforgiven 2003 continues to show Raw's bad showing on PPVs in a pretty underwhelming show. The two highlights were a good but not quite great Orton/HBK match and a fun if a bit too long last man standing match between Kane and Shane O' Mac. The rest of the show ranged from disappointing (Christian/Jericho/RVD) to crap (Test/Steiner) to outright horrific (Snow & Coachman/Ross & Lawler). Overall, Unforgiven 2003 was a pretty trite show that certainly didn't help dispel the idea that Raw was the inferior of WWE's two flagship shows."

[3.0] "Opener is yet another tables match, a stipulation that's getting a bit old by this point. Test and Steiner are still feuding, to the enjoyment of almost no one. Orton and Michaels have an OK match which is a bit slow, it does have its moments, but it's otherwise pretty bland, it also features a screwy finish (get used to that tonight! ). The Diva's tag match was a pleasant surprise, with all women getting their stuff all while the match was wrestled at a decently fast pace. The last man standing match was very good, but not flawless, a slow start, a pretty weak feud and a very choregraphed ending didn't help, but the creativity and trainwreck like quality the match had made up for it. The Triple Threat is very disappointing, a bit too long yet again, and a bizarre moment featuring Nick Patrick do a double ten count for Christian and Jericho, only for RVD to pin Christian at 9...and get a two, even JR seems confused by this. The announcers match is awful, in hindsight they should have just had Snow face King and keep the other two on the commentary desk, another screwy finish. The main event was really poor, boring, slow, once again cases of in the ring/out the ring, a lot of repetitive moves from both men, and it just seems to drag. These brand exclusive PPVs never really worked, this show was crying out for an extra match to shave some time off some of the other matches."

[5.0] "It was a better event than I expected given how terrible Raw has been upto this point, but it's still very hit and miss and unfortunately it ended with a really dull Triple H vs Goldberg main event. At least Goldberg finally went over, which is what should have happened at SummerSlam. There's also an infamously bad commentator match with JR and Lawler losing to Coach and Snow, and that horrific Test vs Stiener feud CONTINUES and is as bad as expected. There is a decent stretch of undercard matches here though that in my opinion are worth a watch with a solid Orton vs HBK match as well as a good women's tag match which had Lita's first match in more than a year. Kane vs Shane is surprisingly excellent car crash spectacle in their Last Man Standing Match, and the Intercontinental Title match also has some fun moments."

[4.0] "Bad show, considering some of the matches here I'm surprised this is above a 6 on consensus. Show's opening is pretty unmoving and there's not much to harp about towards the end either. The best matches exist in the middle of this show, specifically the only two matches I would call good or even decent - HBK vs. Orton and Kane vs. Shane LMS. The IC triple threat is very disappointing to me and although I don't think the main event is as bad as rating suggests it's not a mat classic by any means. The announcers match was a joke but at least it was funny I guess. Overall a show with a couple good matches and not much else."

[3.0] "I gave nothing on this show above a 6.0 and honestly all 3 of those matches were on the lower end of a 6. The middle of the show held things together just a little bit but the beginning and end were genuinely horrendous. The main event was about as uninspiring as it gets and the commentary tag match was dreadful. The two opening matches were super boring as well. HBK vs Orton was probably match of the night and was actually pretty good, it just went on way too long. And then the triple threat for the IC title was very appealing but they took such a strange direction with it. All in all, the two Raw PPVs in 2003 have been downright horrible and it's no wonder my family stopped watching regularly around this time. Makes my complaints toward modern WWE feel so petty by comparison."

[3.0] "RAW is awful. Compared to SmackDown it's almost unwatchable and irritating with how much emphasis is put on the authority and backstage figures feuding with each other instead on conflicts between the actual wrestlers. There is one good match being Michaels vs Orton and the rest is mid at best, but mostly bad. Dudley and La Resistance suck, Test vs Steiner has to be a rib at this point and the fight for the announcers' desk was the final straw for me. There are some not too bad, but also not that exciting matches like women's match, Kane vs Shane or the Triple Threat Match, but then again the main event pulls the whole thing down. Instead of putting the title on Goldberg at SummerSlam which was the perfect time to do it they decided to prolong it and make him the champion in a not nearly as hot bout as the Elimination Chamber one. Bill wins, but after a cold match with fans getting bored midway through and that sums up RAW in 2003 perfectly."

[6.0] "The problem with this show is, there's very little middle ground. The great matches from this event are honestly some of the best matches of the entire year. When it delivers, it delivers big! But the matches that don't deliver are amazingly forgettable at best, and bad at worst. Honestly, you can turn this show off after the IC title match, and you're not really missing anything. The fact that the show closed with what are probably the two weakest matches of the entire night is a bad sign. The good does outweigh the bad, though. As an entire watch, this is still a fun and enjoyable show. But I suspect most people will have memories of a handful of individual matches rather than this card as an entire event."

[5.0] "I reviewed all of the matches individually, that's the better way to read about this PPV I feel. Here I will say very little, as there is little to say due to the overcast of underwhelming that plagues most of this event. Tag title match: 5, Steiner vs Test: 4, Michaels vs Orton: 5, Ladies tag: 5, Kane vs Shane-O-Mac: Was a whole different beast entirely and I couldn't help but give it a 10. The Intercontinental triple threat worked for me as well, 7. AVOID JR & King vs Coachman & Snow (zero). Main Event finished with a 2.5. The average is a 4.81 rounded up and I can't say I am going to recommend this. The Kane/Shane Last Man Standing car crash is a wild ride though, check that contest out. The Intercontinental triple threat isn't too shabby either."

[3.0] "The only actually good match on this card is Shane McMahon vs Kane of all things LMAO. If the show had more average matches I probably would have given it a 4, but there's an alarming number of bad matches on this show. Such a shame that Goldberg's big title win was so bad because Triple H world title matches must go long no matter the circumstances."
