| 1 | 27.05.2021 | HudE | 6.0 | Ich bin alles andere als ein Death Match Fan, weswegen ich auch nur sehr selten eine BJW Veranstaltung im gesamten anschaue, aber die Sumo Hall Show gebe ich mir jedes Jahr, da man auch wenn mein kein großer Fan von dieser Match Art ist immer wieder überrascht wird und es sonst auch oft gutes Wrestling zu sehen gibt. So war es auch dieses Jahr wieder eine Veranstaltung mit einigen Höhepunkten die für ein solides Gesamtpaket sorgten, aber auch mit vielen Matches die nicht von Belang waren. Das Highlight war für mich hier mit großem Abstand das Tag Team Match mit Sekimoto und Walter gegen Hino und Okabayashi, aber auch der Main Event hat mit phasenweise sehr gefallen und war eine tolle Vorstellung. Größte Enttäuschung war für mich das BJW Strong World Heavyweight Title Match zwischen Sato und Hashimoto. Hashimoto entwickelt sich leider nicht zu dem Wrestler, den man sich erhofft hat und Sato finde ich außerhalb von Tag Team Matches auch etwas überbewertet. Da war der Main Event zurecht wieder das Death Match. |

The first half moved at a good pace with none of the matches going longer than they needed to. The tack strip deathmatch and the Strong BJ vs Stronghearts matches were standouts. As for the second half, the two anniversary tags stole the show, with the Strong tag being a contender for my favorite match of the year. Hashimoto vs Sato was what it was; it was overlong but the story behind the match at least seemed interesting. Whether Daichi does better this run will be anyone's guess. The main was a great contest between friends. Overall, good stuff. Looks like the Kobayashi Corps is next in line for some title defenses which will be fun to see. |
