[10.0] "This is how you do a second night. Every match was great and the ending was satisfying. This was the best wrestling show of 2020 and NJPWs best until the end of the pandemic. The standouts being Naito vs Okada in what I consider to be the best in ring storytelling of all time. Kenta vs Goto in a banger and Ibushi vs White. A truly incredible show."
[10.0] "Für mich der Definitiv bessere Wrestle Kingdom Tag der 14. Ausgabe dieses Events. Völlig verdient räumt Wrestle Kingdom XIV - Tag 2 die volle Punktzahl ab. Es fängt an mit dem letzten Match von Jushin Thunder Liger, der einen Tag später verabschiedet werden sollte. Das Match war nicht wirklich großartig, wegen des In-Ring Geschehens (Welches vollkommen Solide gewesen ist), sondern wegen der Stimmung. Man merkt einfach wie viel den Menschen in Japan an Liger hängt und was für eine Bilderbuch Legende dieser Mann doch ist und welche Geschichte er für das Pro-Wrestling geschrieben hat (***3/4). Das IWGP Jr. Tag Team Championship Match war auch wirklich klasse und völlig verdient holen sich hier SHO & YOH die Titel. Die beste Sequenz (Und da waren Wirklich einige dabei), war die wo ElP, den Tiefschlag/Low Blow zeigen wollte und SHO genau getroffen hatte, jedoch hat dieser nicht damit gerechnet das SHO einen Weichteil-Schutz in der Hose getragen hatte, was dass Finish Einleitete. Sehr schöne Sequenz (****). Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Sanada war Inordnung. Ich weiß nicht warum, aber ich finde einfach Zack Sabre Jr. Nicht so stark wie es immer gesagt wird, oder wie ich es immer von anderen Höre. Seine Athletik und sein In-Ring Work ist einfach nicht mein Fall. Das er hier seinen RevPro Championship verteidigt ist aber natürlich zu erwarten gewesen. Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson war Gut, das Moxley auch hier seinen grade erst wieder gewonnenen IWGP United States Championship verteidigt war zu erwarten. Das Minoru Suzuki dann nach dem Match auftaucht, war richtig überraschend und das Match wird ein absolutes Dream Match sein, zwischen Suzuki & Mox (***1/2). Hirooki Goto vs. Kenta war sehr Hard. Goto war in unfassbarem Shape und holt sich hier auch verdient den Titel (****). Kota Ibushi & Jay White erzählen dann hier eine Gute Geschichte. Beide haben auch eine Gute Chemie miteinander im Ring und hätte mir dieses Match auch durch aus um einen der Titel vorstellen können. Ibushi verliert auch sein 2. Match bei Wrestle Kingdom und das gegen einen Gaijin. Schade das man Ibushi so schwach darstellt (****1/4). Chris Jericho vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi hatte dann einfach Legenden Status und es war ein wirklich gutes Match der beiden. Auch hier wieder eine Super Chemie miteinander und auch hier seht schöne Spots. Auch hier Holt sich der Gaijin den Sieg und das gegen einen Top Mann aus New Japan + auch noch dazu bei Wrestle Kingdom im Tokyo Dome. Das ist eine echt krasse Sache und damit hätte ich persönlich nie mit gerechnet. Auch wenn man sich wegen der Stipulation hätte denken können das es so kommt (****1/2). Naito & Okada schließen dann die Wrestle Kingdom Tage mit einem absoluten 5 Star Classic ab und auch hier hätte ich vollkommen mit Okada gerechnet und werde mal wieder überrascht! Naito holt sich beide Titel und ist somit der erste IWGP Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. Sehr sehr Geil! (*****). Insgesamt ein super Abschluss - Volle Punktzahl."
[9.0] "The first night as a whole was obviously better but Naito's epic win was an incredible moment. Wasn't a fan of Kenta ruining Naito's moment. I know he can get a lot of heat by doing it but Naito deserves his moment at the Tokyo Dome and should have gotten it. The undercard was also pretty fun particularly the Sanada- Sabre Jr. bout. Great show"
[8.0] "A very good second night, not as incredible in terms of the match as the 1st but damn it in terms of emotions it was incredible. I like wrestling for his, it's crazy. A good card from start to finish."
[10.0] "Amazing show that almost completely reversed all my expectations. The undercard matches I was excited for turned out to just be good instead of great and the last 4 matches, of which I was only looking forward to the main event, were all great. I don't agree with ruining Naito's crowning but this was still an overall excellent show and great Wrestle Kingdom."
[10.0] "After a show as good as night one, you'd think that NJPW would have a really hard time putting on another up to its level but somehow they managed to have an even better show for night two. Actually it was a lot better. While night one had some weak matches that got away with not bringing down the show, Night two had great matches across the board with only one weak match that like the first night it didn't weaken the show as a whole. That weak match was The IWGP United States title match. The only other match that wasn't great but was still pretty good was the NEVER openweight six man gauntlet match. That had a problem of the first two matches not being great. CHAOS was the best part of the first two. The second half of the gauntlet was really fun. The main opening tag match was really good. It had a nice story with tension. both teams were good and worked hard however Sano wasn't the greatest but he put in work and was cool to see him. The post match was very touching and this was a good send off of Jushin Thunder Liger. The Junior tag match was great. Everyone was impressive but Phantasmo and Sho were the best of their respective teams. It had lots of fun action and spots and some good comedy from Bullet Club. two thumbs up. The last match that was at the tier of those previous matches was White Vs Ibushi. It didn't start out in the most entertaining way but became really interesting by the end with lots of suspense. I thought White was really good. The rest of the matches were excellent and the very best of the night. In ascending order of quality it goes ZSJ vs SANADA, Goto vs KENTA, Jericho vs Tanahashi, and finally the best being the main event between Okada and Naito which will go down as one of the best matches to ever happen at Wrestle Kingdom. The latter two matches are some of the best matches of the whole weekend. They are definitely worth multiple watches. Fantastic event all around."

Jr Tag Title Match war recht solide(***). Sanada/ZSJ fing richtig stark an, wurde dann ein bisschen schwächer(***3/4). Mox/Juice ging ganz in Ordnung, war aber nichts besonderes(**3/4). Never Openweight Title Match ist stiff wie immer und die Performance beider war super(****). White/Ibushi ging für das Match recht lange, aber die Story gefiel mir sehr(***3/4). Jericho/Tanahashi ein absolutes Dreammatch(****). Main-Event ein weiterer MOTYC und eindeutig MotN(*****)."
[8.0] "Opener ***, Jr Tag Titles ***1/2, ZSJ/Sanada ***1/2, Mox/Robinson **1/2, Kenta/Goto ****, Ibushi/White ***1/4, Tanahashi/Jericho ****1/4, Main Event ****3/4. Auch Tag 2 von WK 14 ist gut, kommt aber nicht ganz an den ersten Tag ran. Das letzte Match von Liger ist gut und natürlich auch sehr emotional, auch die zwei Matches danach sind auf einem guten Niveau. Das US Titelmatch ist eine Enttäuschung, Juice und Moxley hatten auf jeden Fall schon bessere Matches. Darauf folgt das typische Never Titelmatch, einfach sehr cooler Strong Style. White und Ibushi liefern über weite Strecken gute Unterhaltung, aber die letzten Minuten reißen mich komplett raus. Y2J zeigt sein bestes Match seit Omega bei WK12, überraschend sehr starkes Match. Der Main Event ist dann großartig mit dem Ende einer der besten Storys des modernen Wrestlings. Tetsuya Naito ist auf dem Thron der Wrestlingwelt angekommen, nach so vielen Jahren. Das Match ist super, aber irgendwas hat mir gefehlt, dass ich die Höchstwertung gebe, ich weiß selber nicht was genau. Am Ende liefert New Japan auch mit zwei Shows im Dome eine Spitzenqualität und zeigt wieder mal, warum sie für mich und viele andere das beste Wrestling der Welt bieten."
[8.0] "Not as amazing as the first night at the Dome, but still great! Gauntlet Match [**] So-so warm-up with filler guys. Hiromu Takahashi & Ryu Lee -vs- Jushin Thunder Liger & Naoki Sano - (Liger's Retirement Match) [** 1/2] Liger's final match of a 36 year long successful and influential career! Not prime Liger, but efficient enough for it to be a nice send-off while unselfishly putting the current generation over. El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori (c) -vs- SHO & YOH - (IWGP Junior Tag Title) [***] Good action, good pace, good fun. Nothing insane, but it did the trick. Zack Sabre Jr. (c) -vs- SANADA - (RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Title) [*** 1/4] I was liking this so much, but it ended prematurely. Given this the treatment the main event matches got, this could have been one of the best matches of the night. Instead a good short-ish thrill. Jon Moxley (c) -vs- Juice Robinson - (IWGP United States Title; Texas Death Match) [**] Struggled to click. KENTA (c) -vs- Hirooki Goto - (NEVER Openweight Title) [** 1/2] Solid, but no life. Goto continues where he stagnated 10 years ago and KENTA wasn't able to use his new-found momentum to get anything more out of him. Had its moments, but that was all it had. Jay White -vs- Kota Ibushi [** 3/4] Had some incredible moments, but what a ugly flow. The White dilemma. Ibushi deserved better after his efforts the day before and so for his efforts here. Chris Jericho -vs- Hiroshi Tanahashi [*** 1/2] While it was clear both have seen better times, they still managed to put a exiting match together. Hard-fought with a very hot-dad vibe. A real cool veterans battle. Kazuchika Okada (IWGP c) -vs- Tetsuya Naito (Intercontinental c) - (IWGP Title vs IWGP Intercontinental Title) [****] Apart from some slow spots, this was all it needed to be. Break-through for Naito after years of disappointments at Tokyo Dome. Nothing revolutionary from their usual formula, but with the emotional aura hanging over this they delivered to f"
[8.0] "Ich fand den zweiten Abend von Wrestle Kingdom insgesamt eher etwas schwächer als den ersten, aber auch er hatte einige starke Momente, auf die man jedoch etwas warten muss. Bis zur Konfrontation zwischen Suzuki und Moxley nach dessen Titelverteidigung plätschert die Show so etwas dahin. Dieser Moment ist dann jedoch der Wendepunkt und der Startschuss in einer starke zweite Hälfte. In dieser ist das einzige Match, was mich weniger überzeugt hat, das zwischen White und Ibushi gewesen, da es augenscheinlich keinem Zweck dient, außer Ibushi für irgendeine Art von Wiedergutmachungs-Storyline für das nächste Jahr in Position zu bringen. Dagegen sind die Matches zwischen Goto und Kenta bzw. Jericho und Tanahashi richtig gut. Speziell Jericho und Tanahashi sind sehr interessant. Einerseits, weil man sie noch nie in einem Match gegeneinander gesehen hat und andererseits, weil sie beide Performer sind, die mit zunehmendem Alter ihre Moves sehr dosieren müssen, um dennoch ein gutes Match auf die Beine zu stellen und beide diesen Balanceakt stets sehr gut meistern. Der Main Event bewegt sich dann nochmal auf einem anderen Level, als der Rest der Show. Wie man als Naito oder Okada ein solches Match auf die Beine stellen kann, wenn man in der Nacht davor gerade jeweils mehr als 30 Minuten in harten Matches stand, ist mir rätselhaft und vielleicht will ich es auch gar nicht wissen. Ich kann jedoch nicht bestreiten, dass dieses Match heute richtig stark war und die Storyline um Naito zu einem guten Ende kommen lassen hat. Mit ein wenig Abstand sehe ich den Angle mit Kenta am Ende eher kritisch, denn er ist zwar ein kleiner Schocker, aber wenn ich jetzt so über die Show nachdenke, dann habe ich ihn schon fast verdrängt, weil der Moment des Sieges von Naito so groß wirkt, dass der Angle danach deutlich in seinem Schatten steht. Vielleicht wäre er bei New Year Dash besser aufgehoben gewesen. Insgesamt eine gute Show, von der man aber nur die zweite Hälfte sehen muss."
[9.0] "A much more consistent night than night one, although the main event was the only thing here that is truly must see. Elsewhere the semi main was the best Jericho match since his match at the dome last year, whilst Ibushi vs White was good and could have been great if it weren't for the constant interference, which I wasn't the biggest fan of. The last 5 minutes of Goto vs KENTA were also very good, as was SANADA vs ZSJ, although it didn't quite reach the heights of some of their earlier bouts. On the other hand, Moxley vs Juice was a huge disappointment, but we at least got an entertaining segment following it."
[9.0] "Der Opener war natürlich der große Abschied einer wahren Legende, auch wenn der Legenden-Begriff im Wrestling eher leicht rumgeworfen wird. Mit Hiromu hatte man hier auch wunderbar seinen Nachfolger gefunden und es war am Ende ein schöner Moment und ein toller Abschied. Danke Jushin Liger! Das Match, welches darauf folgte war dann im westlerischen Sinne sogar noch einen Tick besser und im Anschluss bekam man mit Zack Sabre Jr. und Sanada den ersten Schmankerl an diesem Abend. Moxley vs. Robinson war nach dem ganzen Aufbau eher eine Enttäuschung und Robinson konnte in diesem Match nicht überzeugen. Die Herausforderung von Minoru Suzuki war dann schon eher ein Highlight dieses Matches. Goto vs. Kenta war das brutalste Match an diesem Abend und herrlich intensiv. White vs. Ibushi war auf einem sehr ähnlichen Niveau und hätte mit einem anderen Finish sogar noch besser sein können als das Match zuvor. Dann bekam man mit Jericho vs. Tanahashi natürlich die große Besonderheit an diesem Wrestle Kingdom Wochenende. Das Match war großartig und Jericho als auch Tanahashi bewiesen erneut, dass sie es noch drauf haben. Der Main Event war natürlich das große Drama an diesem Abend, mit den verrücktesten Kickouts an diesem Wochenende. Das Publikum feierte Naito als Sieger, bis Kenta diese Feier zunichte machte. Damit hat sich Kenta auch wunderbar als Top-Heel der Promotion ausgezeichnet. Eine sehr zufriedenstellende Veranstaltung, die noch mehr Lust auf 2020 macht. Auf gleichem Niveau wie Tag 1 für mich."
[8.0] "Liger bekommt auch hier einen passenden Abschied. Das hat Charme, ist qualitativ aber auch nicht empfehlenswert. Die Jr. Heavyweights liefern kurzweilige Action mit dem üblichen Moves und Sequenzen. Geht durch. ZSJ und SANADA legen dann eine deutliche Schippe drauf und ich hoffe, dass ZSJ da bald mal für belohnt wird. Er liefert auch hier wieder gut ab. Moxley und Juice beenden ihre Fehde mit einem lahmen Match und dem Lowlight des Tages. Für Jon waren das zwei eher schwache Tage, auch wenn er als Champ den Dome verlässt. KENTA und Goto rufen meines Erachtens nicht ihr ganzes Potential. Unterhaltsame Phasen reichen nicht um ein gutes Match auf die Beine zu stellen. Nachvollziehbar, dass man die Card vollbekommen muss, aber ich hätte White und Ibushi Ruhe gegönnt und stattdessen auf Leute gesetzt, die in PreShows oder Multimen-Langeweile verbraten werden oder etwas Richtungsweisendes. Mit Ibushis No-Sell-Mimik und -Gestik kann ich an Tag 2 noch weniger anfangen. Dem stecken binnen kürzester Zeit zig Minuten Wrestling in den Knochen, er ist sich selbst auf den Kopf gesprungen und hat von Okada einiges kassiert. Ich bin da inhaltlich irgendwie raus. Immerhin verliert er, auch wenn es nur mit dem klassischen Heel-Kasperkram klappt. Das hätte es nicht gebraucht. Jericho und Tanahashi liefern sich dann aber ein feines Duell. Mir fehlt es da etwas an Tiefe, da Jericho einfach seine größten New Japan-Hits spiel und Tana die Niederlage weggrinst. Main Event ist auch an Tag 2 das MOTN und liefert beachtlich ab. Beide füllen ihre Rollen aus und erzeugen so einige Highlight-Sequenzen. Schlussphase sitzt und setzt Naito gut in Szene. Das Abschlusssegment ist okay, aber Bonuspunkte verteile ich hier nur für das Moxley/Suzuki-Aftermath, welches wirklich gut sitzt. Guter zweiter Tag, der spielerisch hätte noch besser sein können."
[10.0] "Auch Tag 2 war ganz großes Kino und ich war überrascht, dass es hier sogar mehr Singles Matches gab, als am Vortag. Dark Match war okay, Gauntled Match eben. Der Opener war wrestlerisch natürlich das bessere der beiden Retirement Matches und die Sequenz mit Liger und Hiromu am Ende war schon echt cool. Roppongi 3K vs. Bullet Club und Sanada vs. ZSJ waren beides sehr ordentliche Matches, Moxley vs. Juice entfaltet aber leider nicht si Magie ihrer vorherigen beiden Matches. Sehr schade, da die Matches der beiden immer gut waren. Das hier auch auch ganz nett und natürlich alles andere als schlecht aber leider nicht mehr. Das Beatdown von Suzuki war aber irgendwie verdammt cool. Das Match will ich sehen. Goto vs. KENTA war wieder gut, Kenta als Heel ist hier absolut klasse und die beiden finden genau den richtigen Stil für ihre Fehde. Jay White vs. Kota Ibushi ist vielleicht sogar das zweitbeste Match des Tages. Richtig stark vor allem auch wegen der Charakterdarstellung von Ibushi, der deutlich ernter und finsterer schaut und generell deutlich härter zur Sache geht. Tanahashi vs. Jericho war auch gut und etwas überraschend gewinnt Jericho hier clean. Der Main Event ist absolut weltklasse und die Krönung für Tetsuya Naito an der Spitze von New Japan. Wunderschön. Weiter geht es mit New Year Dash."
[10.0] "NEVER Gauntlet: Ok. Happy with the result. Liger tag: **1/2. Pretty emotional at the end of this. Jr tag title match: ***1/3. Alot of action. ZSJ/SANADA: ***1/2. Pretty good match. This could have used more time. Juice/Mox: ***1/2. Very good. KENTA/Goto: ****. Great closing stretch. KENTA looked great. Jay/Ibushi: ****. Great stuff. Would have been a much higher rating without the BS. Jericho/Tana: ****1/4. Jericho looked aesthetically terrible, but was great. Tana looked great too. Main Event: *****. The culmination of a lifetime. Naito finally gets his moment, By the very end, this was 5 stars. Great show."
[8.0] "WK part 2. Way too much wrestling for 24 hours. Pre-show match was alright but did little to keep me invested. Liger's final match was pretty solid and a good way for the legend to go out. The opposing team were pretty vicious at times. Jr. tag titles match was enjoyable and had some fun action, especially from the champs who were great here, but the winners needed the moment. British title match was exactly what I wanted it to be. A true wrestling match without all the high impact spots and bombs. I loved this one. Two guys going hold for hold, trying to one-up the other. Moxley vs Robinson was quite the brawl and both men did well, but given the story, it felt lacking. Just two guys brawling for the most part. Kenta and Goto did great with the time given. Stiff match that looked painful at times. It did seem like Kenta controlled most of the match, though. Not sure how others perceived it. White vs Ibushi, while just as good as the previous match, felt bland at times and the Super Ibushi thing... well, it stinks. Won't sugarcoat it. Also went longer than it needed to. Jericho vs Tanahashi was great and I liked how they took a different approach, a slower pace if you will. Jericho looked great in this style of match, and Tanahashi carried the match well. Surprised Tanahashi tapped but it is what it is. The main event was amazing storytelling. Okada targeting Naito's knee, Naito working Okada with high impact moves such as the poisonrana and getting the Destino reversed, not to mention the announcers being a focal point of the atmosphere. So much went on in this one that it's impossible not to call it the match of the night, and rightfully so. Great event and definitely the best of the two WK shows."
[10.0] "Liger retirement match 2 - While night 1 had more of an emotional impact for me, this match was better wrestled due to the younger guys - (***). Junior tag titles - What a fun match! This was an absolute blast to watch - (****), Rev Pro title - this match was advertised as a technical classic and what we got was a great display of technical wrestling from two of the best technicians in New Japan - (****), US title - Mox vs. Juice is now a feud that joins the rare list of taking place in Sumo Hall, Budokan and Tokyo Dome, although no where close to their first match this was still very good, the obvious highlight was Suzuki's post match challenge to Mox - (***1/2), NEVER title - continuing the theme of the night at delivering different kinds of matches this was an awesome stiff brawl as per usual for these two and this title - (****1/4); Losers match - Good match but honestly a little disappointing, these guys relied on too much bullshit when the truth is that they didn't need it to have a good match - (***); Tana vs. Jericho - This was A LOT better than I thought it was going to be, thankfully Tanahashi was able to drag this match out of Jericho - (***1/4), IWGP title vs. IC title - And we end off night 2 of WK 14 with an emotional bout that culminated Naito's years long journey to winning a main event at Tokyo Dome, our early contender for MOTY - (*****) Although a weird choice to end the night with the sour note of KENTA attacking Naito this was still a fantastic night of pro wrestling. Although a better card top to bottom, I still slightly prefer Night 1."
[10.0] "While night 1 had my favorite match of the weekend (Okada vs Ibsuhi), night 2 felt like it had no fillers. /// Ligers retirement match was fun for what it was. 2 teams of 2 rivals going and Liger putting over two future stars in his farewell match. A bit confusing at times when Hiromu and Lee would seemingly go heel and viciously beat down Liger and then go right back to being respectful challengers. (**1/4) //// Junior tag match was so much fun all throughout. The cup spot was funny and ELP really shined. (***3/4) //// Sabre and Sanada was an incredible technical showing for both men. Zack playing the pompous smart ass who thinks he's better than everyone else and getting mad when Sanada would match him in technical skills. A really great match. (****1/4) //// Moxley and Juice was fine, I think their first match was better but this was still ok. The post-match interaction was so good and I cannot wait for what it leads to. (**3/4) //// Kenta vs Goto was great, Kenta is one of the best heels NJ has right now and this match proved it. Just an absolute slugfest. (***3/4) //// White vs Ibushi was pretty damn good. Even though this was technically the battle of two losers it still had the important energy to it. Again, I loved Ibushi snapping and just beating the ever-loving shit out of Jay and Gedo. That one chair shot to the head was frightening. At this point, I'm too scared to even ask about the status of Ibushis neck. (****1/4) //// Jericho vs Tanahashi was good. Jericho played the invading heel from America and Tanahashi tried defending New Japan proudly all while trying to win a title shot. Some brutal shots even though the audio was cut for 80% of the match. (****1/2) //// The Double Title match was a formulaic Okada match yet still great. (****3/4) since I'm running out of characters."
[10.0] "The crown jewel to end a year of amazing NJPW storylines. This show was extra special with the double gold dash. The second night was also a lot better than the first. No filler."
[10.0] "Ein Event, der in seiner Gesamtheit seines gleichen sucht. In der Gesamtheit stellt das sogar noch die Tokyo Dome Shows aus den Vorjahren in den Schatten. Das Retirementmatch von Liger war hochemotional. Das Tag Team Match war das einzige, was mich nicht abgeholthat. ZSJ und Sanada haben danach einen schönen Kampf, Moxley und Robinson einen tollen Brawl, Goto und Kenta ist ein richtiger geiler Puroresu Slobfigth, Jay White und Ibushi legen eine klassische Babyface-Heel-Dynamik hin, die auch perfekt zündet. Danach folgten zwei Matches, auf die ich richtig heiß war. Die alten Hasen Jericho und Tanahashi zeigen nochmal, dass sie ihr Handwerk immernoch aus dem Effeff beherrschen und legen ein tolles Match hin. Der Main Event schließlich ist an Dramatik und Symbolik kaum zu überbieten. Alles andere als "sehr gut" wird diesem Event nicht gerecht."
[10.0] "Selbst beim Dark Match ging es schon gut los. Besonders die Hard Hitting Passagen mit Evil, Takagi oder Ishii haben mir gefallen aber auch das gute Showing von Taguchi. Die eigentliche Show beginnt dann mit Ligers letztem Match und das war echt gut, weil es nicht nur Liger und Sano nochmal einiges zeigen lässt, sondern sich auch wie eine Staffelübergabe anfühlt und sowohl wegen Liger aber auch wegen diesem Hammer Return WE von Hiromu sehr emotional ist. Im Tag Title Match danach spielen beide Teams ihre Heel bzw. Face sowie Champ bzw. Underdog Rollen richtig gut. ZSJ gegen Sanada ist danach zwar nicht ganz so emotional für mich aber technisch gibt es hier natürlich nichts dran auszusetzen. Moxley und Juice zeigen danach einen ansprechenden Brawl, in dem Juice mal wieder in der Underdogrolle aufgeht, ohne zu gewinnen. Goto und Kenta zeigen dann ein Match, in dem Kenta wieder wunderbar den Heel raushängen lässt aber Goto glaubwürdig zurückkommen kann und dann auch mit passendem Finish gewinnt. Auch White mit richtig gutem Heelwork gegen einen guten Underdog Ibushi in einem vielleicht nicht alles überragenden aber durch und durch guten Match. Jericho und Tanahashi zeigten danach im Co ME das für mich zweitbeste Match des Abends. Jericho wirkte so sadistisch wie sonst nur Suzuki, Tanahashi wiederum zeigte Characterdevelopment, was zu sehr gut inszenierten Turning Points führte. Dann kam das ME, das MOTN und das potenzielle MOTY. Die beiden zeigen hier ein Match, dass sich nicht mal ansatzweise so lange anfühlt wie es ist, dass super strukturiert und erzählt ist mit Rückbezügen im Match aber auch eben ohne eine langweilige Minute und mit einer irren, finalen Phase. Nach dem ME gab es dann auch noch die Attacke von KENTA, der sich wohl anschickt der Herausforderer zu sein. Alles in Allem war das eine Show, nahe an der Perfektion, dass von Anfang an durchgehend Unterhaltsam ist und dann mit einem Match für die Ewigkeit endet. Ich kann nicht anders, als 10 Punkte zu geben."
[8.0] "Weaker than night 1 in my opinion but not by much. The main event is perhaps one of the greatest matches ever with a satisfying conclusion to a 7 year old tale with a major shock afterwards to portray the ever changing style of the business. Tanahashi Vs Jericho(****1/4) was better than anything I expected and though Ibushi Vs White didn't make much sense as a match, was still serviceable. Overall an above average show until the main event, which takes it to the next level."
[8.0] "Considering most people came from a very physically intensive first night, match quality ranged from very good to excellent, apart from that awful transition from a Hi Fly Flow into a Liontamer. Sorry Jericho, you know I love you but it really looked like junk. Match results were pretty much what everybody expected, but Gedo and Jado surely love their referee bumps and low blows. Very good night of wrestling but night one was better."
[10.0] "Tricky to choose but I personally will go for Night 2 as the better of the pair. Night 1 did have some of the best matches overall but it terms of consistent quantity of quality matches push Night 2 up one more notch as the better overall show, in addition to the extra layer of emotion throughout. Liger's last match was a fitting send off with the next generation in the mix. Roppongi 3K vs BULLET CLUB has a crispy and varied match, with the latter in particularly impressing with tag offence. Zack Sabre Jr. vs SANADA brought out a more dynamic and different SANADA and Zack is always a mat wizard. Jon Moxley vs Juice Robinson was probably the weakest of the night, not bad but a step down from the brutal spectacle of the previous night vs Archer, while Moxely Suzuki is what I've been waiting for! Hirooki Goto vs KENTA was what I would have hoped, a solid hard hitting affair, great stuff! Jay White vs Kota Ibushi was a welcomed change of pace, with a clearer old school face vs heel dynamic with the surprise win for me in White, I'm still not sold on White as their next top foreign star ut him and Gedo are delightful heel pairing. Chris Jericho vs Hiroshi Tanahashi was interesting since I was sure of a latter win but Jericho pulled it off and in convincing fashion, tied to AEW up in the air still, a good very fun brawl with the bountiful of charisma of both Tanahashi and Jericho carrying the match as much as the action. Finally Tetsuya Naito vs Kazuchika Okada was excellent, a worthy end to the two nights of quality action, Naito being the right choice to go over, he is a top tier worker and is the most over man in the country. KENTA coming back after the celebration was also fun cherry on top that hopefully together with White reestablishes BULLET CLUB as a major heel force. While not the best Wrestle Kingdom, the bar for those can be 11 out of 10 high so I'm comfortable giving this show high praise."
[10.0] "A great night of wrestling. Naito vs Okada was ***** at least, and Goto vs KENTA and Jericho vs Tanahashi were ****1/2 for me. An incredible event."
[9.0] "Die Nieveu in der Undercard war bei Tag 2 doch bei Tag 1 hatten wir auch in der Spitze die Qualitativ besseren Matches mit zwei MOTYC. Deshalb komm ich auf die gleiche Punktzahl wie am Tag 1 Bis auf Moxley vs Juice war hier kein Match schlecht. Und selbst dieses Match hatte ein gutes und zwar das ertönen von KAZE NI NARE alle Befürchtungen war Anscheind umsonst Suzuki wird nach dem Teaser mit Moxley noch erhalten bleiben und man kann sich auf ein Slugfestparty freuen der beiden Pre Show Gauntlet Match (**3/4), Ligers Retrement Match (***1/4), JR Tag Match(***3/4), ZSJ vs SANADA(***3/4), Moxley vs Juice(**), Goto vs KENTA (****1/4), Ibushi vs White (****), Tanahasi vs Jericho (****), Okada vs Naito (****3/4) Den KENTA Angle am Ende hab ich gefeiert"
[8.0] "Nicht ganz so stark wie der erste Tag, da dieser größere Ausreißer nach oben hatte, aber vermutlich die konstantere Card. Der Opener war solide, ein schönes Abschiedsmatch für eine der größten Puro Legenden. Mir persönlich hat das Match am Vortag sogar besser gefallen, aber das war ähnlich gut. Das Junior Tag Team Titelmatch war ziemlich stark. Ein sehr schnelles Match mit tollen spots, wie zu erwarten und auch wie zu erwarten gewinnen Roppongi 3k die Titel. ZSJ vs Sanada war ebenfalls grundsolide, ist dann aber auch schnell wieder vorbei ohne groß herauszustechen, es war das technische Match der Card und damit eine nette Abwechslung, nicht mehr. Moxley vs Juice war in Anbetracht ihrer Matches letztes Jahr enttäuschend, aber das habe ich hier auch nicht erwartet, es hat gut so auf die Card gepasst. Das Highlight war Suzukis Herausforderung danach, was super gemacht war und ich freue mich, dass er bei NJPW bleibt. Goto vs Kenta war ein tolles Strong-Style Match, was auch hätte noch etwas länger gehen können. Goto gewinnt, bleibt daher wie erwartet auch dieses Jahr in der Midcard. White vs Kota Ibushi war lediglich solide. Es hatte seine Längen mit Jay's Heelwork und die Spannung war lange nicht so krass wie gegen Naito. Ibushi wurde krass dargestellt, musste aber leider dennoch verlieren. Jericho vs Tanahashi war die größte Überraschung. Das beste NJPW Match von Jericho neben dem Omega Match. Die beiden haben sowohl was die Story als auch was das In Ring Work angeht sehr gut harmoniert und eine perfekte Heel Face Dynamik entwickelt. Leider gewinnt Jericho und es gibt erstmal kein Tanahashi AEW Titlematch. Naito vs Okada war das MOTN, für mich aber schwächer als Okada vs Ibushi. Dennoch war es unfassbar spannend und die Story von Naito wurde so großartig erzählt. Es war das ultimative Finale einer Story, die vor 7 Jahren gestartet wurde und fühlte sich episch an. Naito als Sieger ist einfach perfekt. Kenta greift danach an und wird zum neuen Topheel. Gefällt mir sehr."
[6.0] "Etwas schwächer als der Vortag, obwohl die Matches auf die beiden Tage durchaus gut aufgeteilt waren. White gegen Ibushi fand ich nicht so stark. Jericho, der jedes Jahr mehr wie ein abgehalfterter alter Pseudo-Rockstar aussieht, hat es nicht mehr so drauf, ist irgendwie jedes Jahr die gleiche Nummer mit. Okada gegen Naito lieferte zum Abschluss richtig gut ab."
[6.0] "Wie schon an Tag 1 lies sich die schau über weite Teile gut weggucken. Ligers letzte Match war stark und die nächsten beiden Matches wirklich gut. Das Moxley Match war dann wiedereinmal an DOWN am Abend, das was nach dem MAtch passiert ist war besser als das Match. Während Goto und Kenta ein Wirklich gutes Never Titel Match gezeigt haben. Jay white war wiederholt langweilig und Jericho beinahe eine Beleidigung für eine Wrestle Kingdom Card. Der Mainer hat dann einiges wieder gut gemacht und war auch das Match of the night. Naito beende seine Story und ist somit der erste und hoffentlich einzige Doppelchamp. Nach dem Match noch mal Kenta als nächster herausforder."
[8.0] "Night 1 was the stronger overall show, but the main event alone makes this one, if not the best weekend events of this past decade plus of wrestling."
[7.0] "Yeah it was pretty good. Better than the last night on the back of more consistent singles matches overall, even if it went lower and didn't peak quite as high as night 1. If these were your first NJPW shows, you chose wisely."
