| 1 | 29.04.2020 | Acetylsalicilique | 7.0 | Ok... What happened with Gabby Gilbert ? She was always crap, I thought she was the worst wrestler I knew. I have never seen done anything right. I have said on this site on multiple occasions that her holding a championship was a disgrace for Shine. And suddenly, in this long match... she was consistently ok ! It's insane, she showed a large and diverse moveset and hit most of these moves really well, she used her weight cleverly and hit a few very effective-looking shoulder blocks and corner smashes. She showed good ring positioning at moments... I mean she wasn't the best ever either of course. Her selling is still awkward, her strikes weak, her acting bad... but I've had ten times more nice things to say about her in that match than I've had in her entire Shine career, I'm even starting to think that she's better than Latasha, who I considered the competent one of the team. I'm confused. Okay, this tangent is over, I can talk about the rest of the show. And it was a really nice show. Taylor/Lauren was nothing special but served to establish the new Lauren/Markova alliance. Seeing Lindsay Snow was nice and she was really good against Vaughan. Triple Aye vs BTY was short and effective. Holidead/Rose was a nice powerhouse clash that makes you want more. Rose countering the chair shot with her ass was fun. Blackheart/Markova was fine too, Markova's overselling and attitude are hillarious. She is becoming a caricature of herself and I'm not sure but I think I like it. The Main Event was a little disapointing considering the line-up. It was a good match with good action and good interaction. |
| 2 | 26.08.2019 | Sebastian V | 6.0 | Ich fand den Opener jetzt nicht besonders aber auf jeden Fall solide, besonders vom Characterwork her. Ähnliches gilt für Snow gegen Vaughan, was aber auch vor Allem als Storymatch für die Reunion einer Gruppierung diente, die ich zwar nicht kenne, die sich aber als Story über das gesamte Event zieht und es ist immer gut, wenn man so einen roten Faden hat. Das Tag Match danach war ebenfalls solide, wobei besonders Aerial Monroe rausstach. Rose gegen Holidead war auch wieder vom Characterwork und dem hier stattfindenen Styles Clash her interessant aber hier gefiel mir das Double DQ Finish nicht. Im Nova Title Match sieht man in meinen Augen klar den Unterschied zwischen den beiden und Shotzi müht sich ab Markova zu einem soliden Match zu ziehen. Das Tag Team Title Match gefiel mir dann bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt der Veranstaltung am besten besonders aufgrund der guten Zusammenarbeit und Tag Team Offensive der Sea Stars, aber auch hier störte mich dann wieder das Finish. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war die Show in meinen Augen echt durchschnittlich aber das ME zog sie dann noch auf anständig und war für mich das MOTN. Die drei zeigen hier einiges an Technik und nehmen vor Allem verschiedene Rollen ein und gehen - auch vor der Hintergrund gemeinsamer Geschichte - Allianzen ein. Kay setzt sich am Ende mit ihrer Cleverness durch. Durch diesen gelungenen Schluss sind 6 Punkte für mich dann doch noch vertretbar. Insgesamt einfach ein Event, dass bis zum ME weder Höhe noch Tiefpunkte sondern sehr viel Durchschnittlichkeit zu bieten hat. |
