218.12.2019boymeetsworld8.0These two Shin-Kiba 1st RING shows were preceeding 'Big Summer' series of shows: three big shows in biggest venues for Stardom: Tokyo (Korakuen Hall), Osaka (Edion Arena #2) and Nagoya (International Conference Hall). /// Even though, this show didn't have the most exciting card on paper, every match was fun. The Main Event saw Jamie Hayter's first match on a third (already) tour, and she was so fired up, that my god she was dropping those elbows on Saya Iida like she wanted her dead. Speaking of Saya, it was her first main event ever. As for the match, it really felt like the big tag match 'of old', it flowed very well, everyone shined, the crowd was into it, just a fun match - Stars got their team combo, then Oedo Tai were throwing them around on the outside and made fun of their pose. Tora/Nakano sequence was fiery, Kid/Miyagi was surprisingly fun, all those Iida's pinfall attempts at the end got huge reactions, but holy shit THOSE FUCKING superkick+single-leg dropkick from Mayu to Miyagi were money. Looking back on all these tag matches, it makes me interested to see Iwatani in a singles match for the Red Belt against everyone. Kyona and Tyler actually teamed up against Onozaki, and Tyler never tried to break Kyona's pinfall attempts. Respect is real, I guess. Three-way was the MOTN, **** range, awesome match, just go watch it. It was kind of a preview for Hoshiki/Hazuki's match in Korakuen for the White Belt, but after the match wanted to see Konami in a singles match against both of them down the road. It's sad that a match against Hazuki will never happen, but I'm very excited for Hoshiki/Konami on the next Korakuen show. QQ/TCS was a good match, and Zoe Lucas was the focus, but I'm sure you have noticed a pattern - if there is two 'faction wars' matches on the card, first one match becomes kind of a warm-up for the second one.
