| 4 | 12.10.2023 | greaterdale | 6.0 | Well the three matches that were longer than 5 minutes were all above average to satisfactory for me, so that's pretty decent by early 2000s WWF/WWE standards. Strangely enough the world title match was the weakest of the three to me, which I did not expect going in. I can't believe what little reaction Triple H winning the title got. Definitely an oof moment. I also thought the opening tag team match was pretty good, I wish it had gone longer though. Story wise this show was fine. The segments shitting on Mankind were kind of funny in a depressing way, but at least Mankind got revenge at the end of the show when he helped The Rock overcome the odds which was my favorite part of the show by far. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have great chemistry in their segments which as an IRL couple I suppose that makes sense, but isn't always the case with all IRL couples in wrestling so it's worth noting. 6/10. |

(1/4*) Acolytes vs Mean Street Posse: Third DQ match. (DUD) Jeff Hardy vs AI Snow: Snow was a terribly dull heel and it made for a dull cage match. (*1/2) The Rock vs X-Pac & New Age: I enjoyed the story of Rock overcoming the odds and getting one over on a show long dominate DX. (**1/4) |

Zu beginn gibts eine starke Promo von The Rock und HHH, dann ein paar kurze Matches die verschiedene Storys voran bringen. Chyna und Chris Jericho werden zu Co-Intercontinental-Champions erklärt, und HHH gewinnt den WWE-Titel von Big Show. Bis da hin fand ich die Show wirklich gut. Danach fiel es etwas ab, aber es passte alles zum Thema der Show, HHH und Stephanie spielen ihre Macht aus. Die Have a bad Day-Filme fand ich witzig, den Bronco Buster von Mae Yound nicht. Alles in allem eine schöne Show bei der ich gut unterhalten wurde. |

Blackman's Standpunkt, ein durch Tori manipulierter Kane, der unbesiegte Angle, sowie Spannungen zwischen Too Cool, den Dudleys, der APA und der Posse, zudem die Demütigung Test's - alles Dinge die in Rekordzeit weitergestrickt werden. Mehr Zeit nimmt man sich für das IC-Debakel mit Chyna. Der WWF-Titelwechsel bereitet ebenfalls das Match zum Rumble vor. 'Have A Bad Day' mit Dennis Knight ist leidlich amüsant. Bei aller Liebe zur damaligen Zeit - das Cagematch mit Snow und Hardy ist das erste wirklich ansehbare Match der gesamten Show - wobei der MainEvent da zumindest von der Spannung her mithalten kann. Ich persönlich empfinde Foley's Rückkehr für ein wenig verfrüht, aber hier das Zünglein an der Waage zu spielen, gibt Miami zumindest einen kleinen Mark-Out Moment. Trotz allem eine irgendwie anständige Episode. |
