[7.0] "The tournament action didn't get off to a good start, as Bad Luck Fale and Togi Makabe had dire match, mostly for the obvious reasons. Thankfully everyone else carried the load in terms of match quality, and the night was capped off with Okada and Elgin having an excellent match."

[5.0] "Das Vorspiel zu Ishii/Tama und Kenny/ZSJ war halbwegs genießbar, aber verlief auch ohne Highlights. Bad Luck Fale und Makabe schaffen es dann aber, das Niveau der Undercard noch zu unterbieten. Ausgesprochen mieses Match. Page und White bekommen ausgesprochen viel Zeit und füllen diese in Teilen mit genießbaren Sequenzen. Das Pacing ist kein Hit, aber da haben Beide selten ein Gefühl für. Das Finish ist leider wieder daneben. (**Ÿ) Suzuki und EVIL geben sich gut auf die Mütze, kontern die Trademark-Manöver ehe Suzuki dann mit seinem typischen Finish durchzieht. Kurzweiliges Match ohne große Spektakel. (***Œ) Mit zwei Face-Charakteren muss ein Match auch erstmal funktionieren, aber Ace gegen Underdog ist natürlich auch ein passendes Szenario, welches die Herren auch entsprechend mit Leben füllen. Kleines, kompaktes Match auf den Punkt serviert. (***Œ) Ist es Okada ein Leichtes, große Matches aufzuziehen hat Elgin damit seine Schwierigkeiten und das sieht man hier eindrucksvoll. Die anfängliche Story verpufft und erst mit dem Austausch von (High)-Impact-Moves zieht die Dynamik des Duells an. Die Konter sind okay, der Fluss passabel. (***Œ) Der A-Block kommt nicht wirklich in die Gänge. Tana führt das Table an, aber insgesamt ist es zu oft eine zähe Veranstaltung und das ohne BULLET CLUB-Finishes oder Yano-Klamauk. Maximal solide."

[6.0] "Insgesamt ein ordentlicher Tag. Makabe vs. Fale kann man wohl überspringen, kurz und weider mit Eingriffen. Jay White vs. Hangman hat mir bis auf das Finish mit dem erneuten Low Blow ganz gut gefallen. Ähnlich wie bei Fale und Tama Tomga, es ist immer dasselbe und es nervt. Evil vs. Suzuki war genau das, was ich mir erhofft hatte, gutes Match. Tanahashi vs. YH hat fand ich auch sehr ordentlich und der Main Event ist gut mit spannendem Finish."

[7.0] "Another lukewarm A-block show with my personal favorite match of the entire block so far in the main event. Fale vs Makabe was painfully bad but thankfully short, *. Jay and Page had a good match, but something wasn't really clicking like they did in Long Beach, ***3/4. Suzuki vs EVIL was a nice brawl but a little underwhelming compared to their match last year, ***1/2. YOSHI and Tanahashi had another decently good match with a weird finish, ***3/4. Main event was awesome as Elgin and Okada went to war once again in another G1 match, ****1/2."

[10.0] "A-Block's best show. Fale/Makabe is the worst match of the G1 so far (*1/2), White/Page was a fantastic contest getting a quiet crowd loud by the end (****1/4), Suzuki/EVIL was a great back and forth brawl (****1/4), Tanahashi/YOSHI-HASHI is YOSHI's best so far, YOSHI is having a hell of a tournament (****1/4), Okada/Elgin was A-Block's best match so far, just fantastic (****1/2). Overall a fantastic show."

[7.0] "Fale/Makabe was exactly what it should've been - an ugly fight between the two (***), Hangman/Switchblade surprised me; what a damn good, psychologically sound match! Definitely MOTN (***3/4), EVIL/MiSu was really damn good, too - a wonderful babyface performance by EVIL (***3/4), Tana/YOSHI-HASHI is one of the best matches in the career of YOSHI-HASHI - a very charming babyface vs. babyface bout, with Tana selling just the right amount for YH (***1/2), Okada/Elgin was an absolute bore, and really drags down the overall rating for the tournament action on day 11 for me (*). Everything was from good to very good except for the main event."

[7.0] "Fale vs Makabe war super lahm und das Schwächste Match im Turnier **. White vs Hangman war gut, aber hinter den Erwartungen mit einem sehr lahmen Finish. Das White gegen Okada oder Tana Cheatet ist okay, aber gegen Hangman? Really? *** 3/4. MiSu vs EVIL war in Ordnung *** 1/2. Tana vs YH war gut. Tana wertet durch seine Aura schon jedes Match auf und lässt es groß wirken *** 3/4. Okada vs Elgin war klares MOTN. Nicht so gut wie ihr großartiges Match im letzten Jahr, aber dennoch sehr gut **** 1/2."

[8.0] "Fale/Makabe: DUD. After the Finishes in this tournament so far, this was Bull. Fans were not happy wit this. They weren't mad at Fale, they were angry at the promotion. This is not good heat. Terrible. Page/Jay White: ***3/4. very good, bad ending. Page really is starting to remind me of Steve Austin. He's continuing to improve. EVIL/Suzuki: ***3/4. Very good match. Very good. This is a good match up for both. Tana/YH: ****. Probably Yoshi-Hashi's best match in the G1. Great battle. Okada/Elgin: ****1/2. These 2 always have incredible matches and this was no different. Very hard match. This show got better as it went on. I liked this show."

[6.0] "Zeitweise dachte ich die Show fährt direkt gegen den Baum, aber die letzten beiden Matches retten dann doch noch einiges."

[9.0] "Definitely a stronger showing for A-block compared to the rest of the G1, I felt there were 3 4 star matches on this card. Nothing felt like a waste here, each match was at least interesting in some regard/"

[2.0] "Disappointed at how so many are overrating this event. Probably one of the worst G1 nights in recent memory. Nothing over ***1/2 and if you give anything on this show over **** you obviously can't differentiate between the high and low end stuff in this tournament."

[9.0] "Great Show especially White vs Page and Okada vs Elgin ans Suzuki vs Evil was good, glad Tana showed he still has it and if he wins the G1 he will have a 5* match with Omega"

[8.0] "Good but not great show. Every match was at least good but the main event was the only standout Fale/Makabe was pretty good ***1/4. Page/White was really good ***3/4. EVIL/Suzuki was good ***1/2. Tana/Hashi was really good ***3/4. Elgin/Okada was a fantastic main event but a but under last year's match ****1/4"
