209.02.2020Paul Allain6.0Ace/Silver was a very solid opener, but the result was counterintuitive and deflating, as the Silver/Reynolds feud seems to be holding back John Silver more than helping him. Bunny/Leyla was a bit too ambitious and rushed, feeling clunky and not well executed. The 4-Way Singles Match was decently dynamic, but not memorable and again featured a screwy ending. Swann/Oliver was overbooked to death, but a great source of entertainment and a pleasant way to give a chance for a rookie to develop his potential. The 4-Way Tag Team Match was athletic and fun, a very fun midcard offering to continue to bolsters the champion? . Office/Shook was quite bad, never gelling or settling between silliness and fake bravado, a very bad match indeed. Briggs/Klinger was hard-hitting and a good way to put the show back on tracks. The Hardcore Trios Match was decent in his genre, even if the ending left to be desired. The main event was terrible, putting together two awful pretentious wrestlers and making for a dull match that killed the good vibe of the night. Despite the awful ending and a few duds along the way, this show was fun and good enough to be watched, but would have been so much better with better care and the fat trimmed off.
306.07.2019OutsideTrack427.0Honestly enjoyed this event quite a bit. Ace Austin vs John Silver is a great little match and a bit of a hidden gem here while progressing Silver vs Reynolds storyline. Leyla Hirsch vs C-Bunny happened. Not much here except Leyla is a young kid who looks great. A very fun four-way here with Anthony Greene being over than a rover. The birth of Jordan Oliver as he picks up what is probably the biggest win in his career. He is here with YDNB and he's here to stay! Shook Crew vs Kirk DJ and Kasey was fine, with the moment being Kris Statlander putting the Deej on her shoulders. Briggs and Bad Bones puts on quite a match as two big boys hitting each other really hard. A fun little four-way tag and my first time witnessing the yam opener. What a maneuver! A six-man hardcore match is just kinda there and a main event with two of the company's pillars at the moment. A very good bout with Gangone interrupting to continue his feud w Gacy. Overall a fun show with a fun environment.

722.07.2018Reptilian6.0This show had some "OK" matches, but the overall composition was a bit boring in some aspects. Too much meaningless multi man matches. When it got to the tag title match, i was just full of those and had to skip several minutes. Slightly better than the last Asbury show IMO. When you have a routine show and not any big names to carry the uppercard(real draws), it always leaves the same bland taste in your mouth and leaves you waiting for something "big" to happen. These days CZW never books the matches the people actually wanted to see, and the ones that do get booked are always 12min exhibition matches. This alone doesn´t make the matches or the show bad, but it makes it harder for the fans to get truly invested with the matches. Ace Austin vs Johnny Silver (***) Nice opener. Leyla Hirsch vs C-Bunny (*¾) At least got me interested with the characters for a while. Wheeler YUTA vs Alex Reynolds vs Anthony Greene vs Francis Kaspin (**½) Its like, there has to be a 4-way like this on every CZW show. Jordan Oliver vs Rich Swann (***½) This was surprisingly the best match. This was the most struggle like match were fans were really invested. Good story match, other than Swann losing to a kid after getting assaulted by the crew and then "shoot" shaking their hands afterwards. Six Man Tag Team Match (***) This was good old 6 man tornado, all over the place, balcony spot etc. Six Man Tag Team Hardcore Match (**¾) Maxwell Jacob Friedman vs Joe Gacy (***¼) ME was after all a quite nice struggle, but finished with the predictable storyline interference. (I have to be a little harsh here; i don´t care too much about the "Dojo Wars level" Gangone-Gacy feud) The Wired title was invalidated from MJF (aka trashed by the booking), rather than letting MJF be a double title holder for a moment, i have not cared so much about who´s the champ. Why should the fans care if the office doesn´t care? MJF retains and Gangone beats up Gacy.
809.07.2018rykejamal6.0When comparing this CZW show with the last Asbury Park show they did, this was miles above February's abysmal event. While there were plenty of decent matches, the three matches that really stood out were the opening match of Austin vs. Silver, which was a fun wrestling showcase with some brutal strikes, the main event which would have been MOTN had the finish not been so predictable, and the real MOTN, the tag title four way. That match was all over the place and showcased some great teamwork. An extra point is given for an important segment that pretty much defined CZW going forward. All in all, this was a satisfactory event, not the best but good enough.
