[7.0] "Although this PPV is pretty much carried by the last two matches on the show, I really found myself enjoying it because it had the kind of chaotic feel from a classic Raw episode. The Bulldog/Owen vs LOD opener has it's issues, but I had a fun time watching it and the teased title change really caught me off guard. The Austin/Hart rivalry pretty much dominates the show where Austin is attacked backstage and Austin v Bret is moved to the main event as a result. Undertaker v Mankind is another very good match and Foley ends up taking a sick bump through the announce table. Pretty brutal for a regular match and theres a good detail after Undertaker gets his revenge on Bearer with the fire sheet after the match where you can hear Bearer screaming in the background when the Harts are interviewed after the match. Austin vs Bret is a terrific main and a damn good brawl. Despite its DQ finish, it's a very good follow up to the two PPV masterpieces they had. I have to say the other two matches on the undercard Rocky v Savio and especially Road Dogg v Billy Gunn was both very poor and it did hurt the overall match quality in my opinion, but it delivered big on the main matches and storylines that was dominating the show at the time."
[6.0] "Good closing matches not that good undercard amounts to a fairly average PPV. I enjoyed the Opening tag more than most despite the shenanigans in the end. Good heelwork from the Foundation and nice intensity from the Road Warriors (6/10) Vega/Rocky is an uneventful match that starts getting a bit decent at the end before having a very flat count out (4/10) Jesse James/Rockabilly was a nothing match that could've been on TV but gets lower points than that for the bad BIlly Gunn repackagin and the whole segment lasting way too long for how little the crowd cared (2/10) Taker/Mankind is a very good brawl that felt heated and personal as it should. Lots of great bumping from Foley. Really fun match (8/10) Austin/Bret is weaker than their Survivor Series and Mania matches but is still a very good match with really good psychology and fairly brutal offense. Loved Austin not being able to hit the Piledriver. Could've done with a bit less blatant cheating considering the finish. Still very good Main Event (8/10)"
[5.0] "A pretty basic PPV from the WWF here with In Your House 14: Revenge of the Taker. The first half of the show kills it from being anything more as it was poorly booked but the 2nd half picked up quickly but it couldn't save this PPV from being an overall basic show with nothing of substance. [**3/4]"
[3.0] "I really didn't like this one - nothing stood out and the best match was decent at best. The opener was alright with a nicely done false finish, but you would still expect more from these two teams. Vega and Rocky had a quick bout with nothing wrong, but just a slug overall with Faarooq on commentary being the best thing. Dogg vs Gunn had absolutely no heat and no wonder, as both of these gimmicks were irritating as hell. And then Taker vs Mankind have another garbage match with so much cheating in front of the referee that you can't take it seriously. They're capable of having a brutal match that makes sense which they proved in their first encounter, but they got so lazy since then that I can't watch them against each other anymore. Main event was alright, but it had the same problem as a previous match, although in smaller doses. Constant cheating with Hebner having to pretend that he didn't see anything and not counting out anybody. They had a brilliant finishing moments though with Bret working the leg and Austin putting him in a Sharpshooter, but I'm not sure how I feel about another screwy finish on this show."
[5.0] "Der Anfang war durchwachsen, das Match von Jesse James war eine Katastrophe unter Main Eventbereich war dann immerhin sehenswert. Alles in allem war die Show dann doch maximal in Ordnung"
[5.0] "Eine wirklich schwache erste Hälfte mit 3 durchwachsenen Matches, gefolgt von einer guten zweiten Hälfte mit den beiden Main Events. Die Story um Bret Hart und Stone Cold bestimmt auch diesen PPV, erst durch die Attacke und dann durch den recht guten Main Event. Beide haben einfach eine gute Chemie miteinander. Ähnliches gilt für den Undertaker und Mankind, die ebenfalls eine tolle Chemie hatten und auch ein ordentliches Match zeigten, bei dem Mankind den einen oder anderen krassen Bump nimmt, vor allem als er kopfüber durch den Kommentatorentisch springt. Opener fand ich noch okay. Typisch für die Road Warriors dominieren sie ihre Gegner nach Belieben, dann das Dusty Finish, bevor es die lame DQ gibt. Savio Vega vs, Rocky und JJ vs. Rockabilly waren nicht gut. Ich hatte die Phase von Billy Gunn als Rockabilly auch total verdrängt."
[4.0] "The undercard was the drizzling shits, but Taker/Mankind and Austin/Hitman saved the night! Definitely FF on the first 2/3rds of the card and go right to Taker/Mankind and the war between Austin and the Hart Foundation!"
[8.0] "Guter In Your House-PPV. Die Undercard war kurz und schmerzlos, dafür waren die beiden Main Events mehr als sehenswert und wussten sehr zu überzeugen. Einen kleinen Schocker hatte man noch mit dem Feuerangriff des Undertakers auf Paul Bearer. Insgesamt eine gute 2 Stunden Show."
"That same focus WWE had on unclean finishes at the time, but Austin and the Hitman's main event is just as good as their barn-burner at Wrestlemania 13. Tag match is okay, but yet another DQ. Intercontinental title match was just okay, but the first instance I've seen of the Rock Bottom (but Vega kicks out). I'm just grinning and bearing it through this Jesse Jammes/Billy Gunn feud because I know it's going to lead to one of the most over tag teams of the era. Undertaker-Mankind is great, and I like how they justified it not being the main event in the kayfabe. Interesting that neither main event match was technically "No DQ" but they get away with a lot anyway. Not a bad PPV at all."
[4.0] "Die erste Hälfte kannst du vergessen und die zweiter war wiederum ganz gut. Macht dennoch keinen solide, oder durchschnittlichen Eindruck. Die Highlights ganz klar die beiden letzten Matches. Taker/Mankind sehr hart und das mit mehr Objekten und Waffen(***1/2). Hart/Austin hingegen war methodischer, auch teilweise sehr chaotisch, aber nicht so wie bei Mania. Dennoch war das auch hier ein weiteres gutes Match zwischen ihnen(***1/2)."
[6.0] "The first PPV with Vince Russo as head writer, and it shows. Nearly all the matches had stupid endings, the main event wasn't a title match despite three of them being defended on the card. The first half of the show was pretty awful, but the second was very good, with two matches that are well worth seeking out, even if they're overshadowed by even greater matches between the pairings."
[4.0] "An underwhelming show with Taker vs Mankind being the only real worthwhile thing on it. The opener was somewhat decent, but the following two matches after were about as dull as wrestling can get. Elsewhere Bret vs Austin wasn't necessarily bad, but considering the other matches they've had, was extremely disappointing. Also, having 60% of the matches on a show end in a non finish wasn't the best of ideas."
[6.0] ""If it wasnt for the match between Undertaker and Mankind, this show is nothing special. I loved the In Your House Idea back in the days, but the shows were sometimes poor of card and too short (if we compare with today standards, the show lasted not even 2 hours when a nowdays PPV is almost 3 hour long). The match between Mankind and Undertaker is good, its probably not their most famous one but the best as an in Ring performance. I watched this show to celebrate two things, the first is Undertaker Retirement and the second the Hell in a Cell with Mankind and since I did not want to watch all over again the infamous hell in a cell I wanted to watch another encounter so this match matched. WWE was entering in the Attitude Era, influenced by the ECW revolution of pro wrestling in the East Coast. The match is really brutal, awesome bump to announce table by Foley and incredible Chair Shots on the Head. The rest of the show is really poor. Nothing special. Weird fact that Taker and Mankind were not the main event instead of Austin and Bret in their rematch encounter from their epic submission in WrestleMania 13. My Suggestion, watch only the Taker vs Mankind Match and not the whole show. I recovered it in its entirety and I am happy about it but it s not must see show. The match between Austin and Bret is good as Storytelling Point of view but the finish with the dq takes off at least 1 vote the final match grade."
[6.0] "A PPV with an atrocious undercard saved by two great main events? It's gotta be an In Your House event! Two bad matches with crap endings at the start which saddens me to say cause Owen Hart and British Bulldog had some f**king great tag matches around this time but they couldn't work magic with everyone. The Rockabilly reveal is lame, nuff said. But jesus, those two matches are two f**king great matches. Bret v Austin is MOTN but Taker/Mankind isn't far behind. One of the better IYH events imo."
[6.0] "This show has awful undercard but last two matches saved it. Opener is very overbooked and ending is bad. Rocky vs Savio is okay but again it's a cheap ending. Third match is not bad but too short. Rockabilly gimmick is terrible. Taker Vs Mankind is not their best but still a very good match. Austin Vs Hart is good too. It can't be compared to their matches at SS and Mania but it was something different with Austin as a face and Hart as a heel. This match ended via dq but I think that this is a right decision."
[5.0] "as expected, the only good matches are the last 2, and the finish for Bret vs Austin sucks. Good matches but not the best of their respective feuds."
[6.0] "Ein zweischneidiges Schwert der ersten Attitude-Stunden. Während die Under- u. Midcard bis zu den zwei Main-Events noch im farbenfrohen Federation-Spektakel gefangen sind und mit mittelschwachen Leistungen Gleichgültigkeit in die Gesichter des Publikums zaubern (besonders hier zu erwähnen das Rockabilly/JJ-Gewürge, wo alle anwesenden Zuschauer sich einer Spontanohnmacht hingeben), so entdeckt dieser Event in seiner letzten Stunde doch ganz offensichtliche Ausrufezeichen. Der 'Kopf-durch-den-Tisch'-Spot von Mankind und die Penetranz in der Bearbeitung diverser Kniepartien von Hart & Austin seien da als Beispiele genannt. Insgesamt kann ich eine (nicht zwingende) Empfehlung aussprechen, wobei wie erwähnt, die letzte Stunde deutlich hervorzuheben ist."
[6.0] "Gutes Wrestling in den letzten beiden Matches, aber ansonsten hatte dieser PPV die Ausstrahlung einer Raw Folge. LOD gegen Owen und Bulldog war leider enttäuschend und overbookt und die nächsten beiden Matches haben von der Qualität her nichts auf einer PPV Card verloren gehabt. Undertaker vs. Mankind war für mich das MOTN und ungefähr auf dem gleichen Niveau, wie ihr einzigartiges Buried Alive Match. Austin vs. Bret konnte nicht an die Matches der beiden zuvor rankommen, war aber trotzdem noch gut und ein würdiger Main Event. Für einen PPV gab es viel zu viele unsinnige Finishes, aber Taker vs. Mankind und Austin vs. Hart ziehen diesen PPV noch zu einer ordentlichen Schlussbilanz."
[6.0] "Diese Veranstaltung geht im großen und ganzen ganz in Ordnung - und das hauptsächlich durch den letzten beiden Matches, welche die Veranstaltung auf die bessere Seite befördert. Der Opener ist okay und das IC-Titel Match war irgendwie nichts besonderes, hat mich nicht wirklich mitgerissen. Auch das darauffolgende Match ist kein Burner und eher im schlechten Bereich einzuordnen. Wie schon angesprochen ist Taker gegen Mankind solide, mit ein paar harten Aktionen. Der Mainer ist gut, aber wegen dem Finish auch nicht besser."
[7.0] "1. LoD gegen Owen & den Bulldog war halt da. Wenigstens zögerte man den Wechsel der Titel hier noch etwas raus. (2*) 2. Maivia gegen Vega war doch ordentlich. Hatte doch ein etwas schwächeres Match erwartet. Nur gibt es wieder ein unklares Finish & Spannungen in der NoD werden angeteast. (2 1/2*) 3. JJ gegen Rockabilly war halt da. 4. Taker gegen Mankind sowie 5. Hart gegen Austin siehe Guide. War ein ordentlicher PPV bei dem aber zu viele unklare Matchausgänge gab. Das hat doch etwas gestört."
[4.0] "Man, you guys love everything! A 6. 5? ! Hmph! The only worthwhile match as far as I'm concerned is Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart, and that ends in a DQ! Booooo!"
[7.0] "Stark für einen B-PPV. Die beiden Main Events überzeugten, das Tag Team Match war ebenfalls ansehnlich, das Singles Match zwischendurch diente als Klopause vor den Highlights. Etwas störend war der Umstand, dass hier weitestgehend auf saubere Finishes verzichtet wurde, allerdings auch nicht unüblich bei einer Übergangsveranstaltung."
[6.0] "I enjoyed the tag team match, The Undertaker vs Mankind and the main event between Stone Cold and Bret Hart. The rest of the card was Raw material, Road Dogg vs Billy Gunn is the less interesting match. Not a great event, nothing important happened and there are different inconclusive endings. Classic transitional event."
[7.0] "This In Your House card was carried on the strength of its double main event: Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart and Undertaker vs. Mankind for the title. Though both matches were or would be done better elsewhere (Bret vs. Austin at 'Mania 13; Taker vs. Mankind HIAC at King of the Ring '98), these were both well-done encounters that furthered their respective storylines. The LOD vs. Owen/Bulldog Tag Title match is also worth seeing."
[6.0] "Der Opener spielt schön mit den Gefühlen der Fans, das Wrestling ist gut und man spürt die Entwicklung zur Hart Foundation, nice, 7/10. Das IC Title Match Match war da, 4/10, nichts besonderes. Genauso wenig besonders dann Rockabilly gegen JJ, auch wenn es lustig ist die NAO davor gegeneinander zu sehen, 4/10. Zu den beiden Main Events mehr im Guide, 8/10 und 8/10. Insgesamt ist eine Stunde hier durchaus sehenswert, weshalb mich die 45 Minuten im Mittelteil nicht arg stören, 6 Punkte."
[6.0] "Runde In Your House-Ausgabe, die mit unter zwei Stunden Laufzeit wieder recht kurz ausfällt, aber dafür gut unterhält. Tag Match ging klar, wie auch Vega gegen Rocky. Rockabilly gegen Jesse Jammes, naja, nicht so doll. Undertaker gegen Mankind fand ich stark und noch besser als den guten Main Event zwischen Hart und Austin, bei dem zudem das Finish wirklich lahm war."
[7.0] "Für einen B-PPV eine wirklich gelungene Veranstaltung. Der Opener war technisch schön gemacht, mußte aber leider mal wieder unclean enden. Savio gegen Rocky war o. k. , aber auch nicht mehr. Die zukünftigen New Age Outlaws boten dann das Lowlight des Abends. Die beiden Main-Events haben das aber locker wieder wett gemacht. Zwei sehr ansehnliche Brawls mit ordentlich Starpower. Haben mich beide sehr gut unterhalten."
[8.0] "Ein guter PPV mit einem ansehnlichen Tagteammatch und zwei sehr starken Main Events, die man beide nur empfehlen kann. Hinweis: Auch Vince McMahon saß bei den Kommentatoren und das Goldust vs HHH Match war kein kein Dark Match."
[6.0] "The matches for the Tag Team & Intercontinental titles were good, but ruined by terrible endings. Rockabilly & Jesse James was a bad match between two horrible gimmicks. Glad they later decided to team together or people would have completely forgot about them. 4 Stars for Undertaker vs. Mankind. A good, hard-hitting match between two great opponents. The only thing that stopped Austin and Bret from getting 5 Stars was the finish (what is up with these cheesy finishes on this show, it should be called "In Your House: Noone Wins Clean"). A great match between these two. 6 out of 10. Two really good matches, two decent ones, one lame duck, and a plethora of bad endings."

Alles, was da sonst noch war, hat doch wirklich kein Mensch gebraucht; störend wirkte dieses Beiwerk aber zumindest für mich nicht. Was musste ich gestern Abend lachen, als Billy Gunn als Rockabilly zum Ring tanzte...."

Das Event hatte 2 gute bis sehr gute Matche und sonst eigentlich nichts besonderes , aber ich habe mich dennoch gut unterhalten gefühlt. Schade das der Opener so kurz war denn sonst wer er besser gewesen , genauso das I-C Title Match. Aber wie gesagt ein nettes Event das mich gut unterhalten hat."
[6.0] "Taker vs Mankind war schon ansehnlich. Der Main Event war zwar nicht ganz so gut aber auch noch befriedigend. Der Rest der Show war nicht so der Bringer. Insgesamt noch ne schwache 3."
[7.0] "Der Opener war gut, hatte aber leider ein blödes Finish (** 1/2). Die nächsten beiden Matches sind nicht der Rede wert. Ganz im Gegenteil zu einem sehr starken WWF Title Match zwischen dem Undertaker und Mankind. Mal wieder absolut sehenswert (*** 3/4). Auch der Main Event war wirklich stark, allerdings ohne klares Finish (*** 1/2). Insgesamt eine solide Show mit zwei starken Main Events."
[8.0] "Das Taker vs Mankind Match setzte wieder mal neue Maßstäbe in Sachen Härte und ich sehe es mir auch nach über 10 Jahren immer noch gerne an. Opener und Main Event waren ok, was mich aber doch störte, war, dass zu der Zeit nichts und niemand an der Hart Foundation vorbeikam und ihre Gegner sie bloß ausschließlich durch DQ schlagen durften. Gerade Austin hätte spätestens hier mal einen cleanen Sieg gegen Bret Hart verdient gehabt."
[6.0] "Wenn die WWF zu dieser Zeit nicht fähige Main Eventer wie Hart, Austin, den Undertaker und Mankind gehabt hätte, wäre sie mit Sicherheit pleite gegangen. Die beiden Hauptmatches auf dem Papier zogen diese Show aus der Kloake und retteten sie sichtlich. Bloß das Non-Finish im Main Event störte, auch wenn es den ersten PPV-Auftritt der reformierten Hart Foundation brachte."
