Das Three Way Match war sehr Sehenswert. Vorallem Flip Gordon war sehr motiviert und Gut im Match. Denke mal das Flip Gordon dieses Jahr beim Best of Super Jr. Tournament dabei sein wird. Match war aufjedenfall Gut (***1/4). Six Man Tag Team Match danach auch Gut (***1/2). NEVER Openweight Title Match sehr langweilig. Hat bei den Fans in der Halle auch nix gezogen. Main Event ein Super Klasse Match mit dem ganzen drum herum (****). Fazit: Ein Guter erster Tag der Super Matches hervorgerufen hat. ''MotN'' war das Match zwischen den Golden Lover's und dem Bullet Club im Main Event. |

| 10 | 23.03.2018 | marexcel | 6.0 | Bei Honor Rising grüßen NJPW und ROH auch 2018 wieder gemeinsam. Durch die BULLET CLUB-Präsenz bei NJPW, bietet die Card kaum seltene Duelle. So ein Goto/BCB-Match wird auch nirgends auf Traummatch-Listen gestanden haben. Typisch NJPW ist die Undercard müde unterwegs und erst mit den Young Bucks wacht der Event dann auf und zwar schon ganz ordentlich. Gute Action der Brüder und auch Juice und Finlay haben ihren Anteil am Match. (***) Gordons NJPW-Debüt ist dann ziemlich erfolgreich. Feine Action mit weniger Aussetzern. (***½) Das zweite Six Man Tag-Match des Tages macht das auch ordentlich, aber lebt etwas zu sehr von den Einzelkönnern. Ein großes Ganzes wird daraus nicht. Goto brawlt solide mit dem Bruiser, mehr nicht. Im Main Event steht das In-Ring-Comeback der Golden Lovers an. Story wird gut ins Match eingebunden und Cody macht das generell gut. Man könnte meinen, dass man da merkt, wer sein Vater ist und welche Liga ihn sozialisiert hat. Die Action prägen andere, aber er sorgt für das Drama. (***½) Gutes Ding als Abschluss eines ordentlichen Events, welcher leider zu Beginn etwas lahmt. |

Die ersten zwei Matches sind nur solide aber ordentlich zum anschauen dann bis zum Main Event nur gutes Wrestling wo für mich der Three Way Match (***1/2) zweitbestes Match war. Im Main Event gab es dann noch ein fantastisches Six Man Tag Team Match zu sehen (****). Ungewohnt das Chase Owens auf Seite der Face da war. Sehr starke TV-Show, 9 starke Punkte. |
| 16 | 27.02.2018 | Moonblood | 6.0 | Der erste Abend von Honor Rising 2018 bewegte sich auf dem Niveau der üblichen Korakuen-Events von New Japan. Viele Matches waren gut bis sehr gut, keines erreichte den ganz hohen Level. Der Main Event lebte von emotionaler Tiefe, wird aber dennoch nur den Auftakt einer (hoffentlich) langen Matchreihe vieler Klassiker darstellen. Genau das war er eben: Eine Vorschau auf die Dinge, die uns in den kommenden Wochen und Monaten bevorstehen, wenn die Unannehmlichkeiten innerhalb des BULLET CLUBs neue Höhen erreichen. Davor gab es weitestgehend gewöhnliche Kost zu sehen. Young Bucks vs. Juice & Finlay war so kurzweilig wie das Three Way Match. Mein Kumpel Beer City Bruiser präsentierte sich mit einer guten Leistung gegen Goto, kommt aber doch nicht aus seiner Haut. Alles in allem ein Event, den man nicht gesehen haben muß und der auf lange Sicht bloß durch die Rückkehr der Golden Lovers in Erinnerung bleiben wird. |

| 18 | 27.02.2018 | JT Grizzle | 7.0 | Really good show overall. Nothing is below solid. Everything is good to great. The two opening tags are fun little matches (** 1/2). The Bucks vs. Taguchi Japan would mean more if it wasn't just thrown together but I do genuinely feel like the Bucks are having a stellar year and are looking down the barrel of their best year ever in the business (*** 1/2). The triple threat was pretty much a showcase for Flip Gordan; KUSHIDA was the base, Hiromu was the drive, but Flip was the star - it's clear ROH are high on him but it feels like he's a show in for a sold run in this years Best of the Super Juniors too, and the Japanese fans really liked him (*** 1/2). Best Friends and Jay White are a weird combo, rivaled only by their opponents - if the Bucks tag felt throw together, this made that feel totally logical... but it was a fun ride to watch (***). Beer City Bruiser was another ROH talent the Japanese fans really took to, him and Flip had a great weekend. His match with Goto was very entertaining and really elevated him in my eyes (***). The main event was always going to be match of the night, the story telling and action were both fantastic and the ever-happy Ibushi has never looked more elated to be wrestling and Omega was right there with him - the tension between them and Marty and Chase was interesting; Cody and Page have made their intentions towards the Golden Lovers clear, but Scurll and Owens are more in the middle of things, so those interactions were fascinating to me. The whole match was thoroughly enjoyable though and highly recommended (****). |

Glad to see finlay and juice had some chances to shine. 3 way was very good. Good showcase for flip who quickly got over with Japanese fans. Kushida and hiromu were great as always and made flip looked good. Best friends tag was also fun. Never title match was surprisingly good. BCB worked real hard here and I appreciated his effort. Some good nearfalls and crowd loved and was into him. ME was pretty great. Great storytelling with kota and Kenny never tagged each other. Cody was such a great heel here and he also worked hard. Chase and hangman had good showing, too. Very fun and easy to watch. |

Flip's fundamentals stink, but he's a good flyer. Main event: ***3/4. Very good 6 man. I'm not into all this BC stuff but this was good. The crowd was absolutely electric for the Golden Lovers. If you're not gonna watch the match, watch the entrances of Pmega & Ibushi. |

Klar, wir haben hier keine Matches auf großen "Wrestle Kingdom" Niveau gesehen, jedoch konnte da allesamt auf ihre Art und Weise unterhalten. Das Young Bucks Debüt als "Heavyweights" war genauso interessant, wie das Match des "Flat Earthers" Flip Gordon und dem Ace und Romu. Cooles Ding dann mit Goto und dem Beer City Bruiser, welches für eine große Abwechslung zu sonstigen NEVER Titlematches brachte. Highlight klar der Hauptkampf, zwanzig Minuten die einfach schön waren. Die Golden Lovers sind zurück, es wird einiges angeteast und zurück gehalten und Chase Owens und Hangman Page waren beide gold hier. Vielleicht sind es eher 6 Punkte als 7 aber.. Golden Lovers :P |
