Der Opener war das schwächste Match an diesem Abend, aber danach hatte jedes Match mindestens ein überdurchschnittliches Niveau. Das Tag Match daraufhin war phasenweise ganz gut, genauso wie auch das Brave Gate Title Match, obwohl ich normalerweise nicht sehr viel mit Yosuke Santa Maria anfangen kann. Das Six Man war nochmal ein Stückchen besser und mit dem Twin Gate Title Match bekam man das 1. sehr gute Match zu sehen. Das Losing Unit Must Disband Match war dann das Highlight dieser Show und gegen Ende auch richtig dramatisch. Ich war nie ein großer Fan von dem Jimmyz Stable, aber nach so vielen Jahren werde ich sie doch irgendwie vermissen, da sie trotz allem ein Stable mit einer eigenen Identität waren, etwas das vielen heutigen Stables in DG fehlt. Der Main Event war ebenfalls großartig und das beste Yamato Match seit seinem Titelgewinn. Leider litt das Match etwas unter der schwachen Crowd, da sie erst wach wurden, als da Match auch schon wieder vorbei war. Trotzdem war es ein toller Schlagabtausch und ein schöner Abschluss für diese Show. |

The tag title match was pretty good but not up to the standards that CK-1 have set . The match was basically an extended squash with them just killing Kotoka . The loser disbands match was humming along on it's way to being excellent when they decided to take the ring ropes down . Slowed everything down and the worst part is I still don't know why they did it . It did not play into the finish and I can't recall a spot that took advantage of or even played of the fact the ropes were down . Jimmyz (Genki Horiguchi HAGeeMee, Jimmy K-ness JKS, Jimmy Kanda, Jimmy Susumu & Ryo Jimmy Saito) vs. VerserK (El Lindaman, Punch Tominaga, Shingo Takagi, T-Hawk & Takashi Yoshida) was great and my top match was YAMATO (c) vs. Masaaki Mochizuki . |

Shingo Takagi & T-Hawk & Takashi Yoshida & El Lindaman & Punch Tominaga -vs- Jimmy Susumu & Ryo “Jimmy” Saito & Genki Horiguchi H. A. Gee. Mee! & Jimmy Kanda & Jimmy K-ness J. K. S. – (5 Units Survival Race ~ Losing Unit Must Dissolve; No-DQ; Elimination Match) [****] A rare occasion where I don’t mind a Dragon Gate match going long. A massive 10-man elimination tag with the losing group having to break-up! And the wrestling was excellent, but the storytelling was even better! There was perhaps a period there where the air went out of the balloon as they were taking down the ropes and not much was gong on in the ring except creating a mess, but the big spots that was singled out looked great and it also helped elevate T-Hawk almost looking like the star on his team. YAMATO (c) -vs- Masaaki Mochizuki – (Open the Dream Gate Title) [***] Unfortunately the crowd was close to dead for a lot of this main event and they didn’t really step outside their usual big match comfort zone. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good match though. The heart was there, especially Mochizuki’s and YAMATO was looking like a star. The story however was “Could the old man still go”, and at the age of 47 I think Mochizuki proved that! |

Das Tag Title Match ist richtig gut ***1/4. Der Semi Main Event ist ein sehr wichtiges Dragon Gate Match und sie liefern ab - cooles Match ****. Den Main Event fand ich großartig, was für ein cooles intensives Match ****1/2. |

Main Event hatte ich mir etwas mehr versprochen, machte aber ordentlich Spaß (***3/4). Twin Title & 6 Man Tag waren gut, die Undercard okay. |

The Unit Disband match just didn't have the level of heat and juice one would expect from something like this. It felt like a foregone conclusions the Jimmiez were going down. Yamato as a singles wrestler is snooze city for the most part. The dream gate title match was pretty good but not otherworldly. I would go 4 1/4 for the unit disband and 3 3/4 for the main. Keep in mind, I watch DG mostly for the all action bell to bell. I am not nearly as invested in the jimmiez as many, so maybe this was more about the moment than the bell to bell. It does seem like the cagematch fanbase stans really hard for DG, so I wanted to provide a counter balance review. |

Interessant wie BxB Hulk einer der größten DG Namen der letzten Jahre, einen der Irrelevantesten Plätze auf der Card kriegt. Brave Gate Title war super spritzig und spaßig *** 1/2, Six Man Tag war super *** 3/4, Twin Gate Title Match setzt noch einen drauf. Unglaublich wie gut Shimizu geworden ist **** 1/4! Der Co Main Event war dann klares MOTN und eines der besten Matches in DG History! Die Stipulation gibt dem ganzen Natürlich eine spezielle Würze. Es wirkte einfach wie ein riesiger, Emotionaler und Intensiver Gang War mit großartigen Spots und Sequenzen *****. Der Main Event war dann auch nochmal Exzellent, aber kam nicht an den Klassiker im Co Main Event heran. **** 1/2 |
