[7.0] "Despite all the absurd hijinx, awful wrestling, and erratic flow, DDT created a better big event than WWE's crapola WMania. Part of this reason is, for all the zanyness, DDT is a very traditional, almost conservative, organization when it comes to booking the KO-D title and the 'big show' Main Events. Predictability notwithstanding, but one leaves the show feeling satisfied. Tonight was bookended by putting over the next generation; the final match presented the transition to Takeshita as the new mainstay KO-D titleholder while the opening dark match establishes Yoshimura as the DNA-king heir apparent to Higuchi. The Dark six woman tag was sloppy, but Sakai Reika has some impressive(ly sexy) muscles. It seems most fans, even if the silly factor overrode any in-match tension/suspense, were happy to see Suwa Munenori return and faux-shoot. And the eager Guanchulo won his first big-stage match, out-smarting the blue-collar Ohka &... oh drat! That crafty Yoshihiko and his Spy vs. Spy mentality. MAO pinned his trainer to win the six-man tag belts. Hirata Kazuki played a great foil to Yuni the little girl; I dug how he alone sulked to the back. Bailey/Irie was an entertaining sprint, w/ no Bailey slip-ups, though Irie still has insular behavioralisms that emotionally distance me from his successes. In the States his interaction w/ the crowd should have been more of a lovable teddy-bear. Here he still plays the too-earnest power puffer. The six-woman was also easily digestible as I thought Kong looked as good as she can while Satomura brings instant credibility. Big Kudos to Oyama for the hard-charging, very engaged effort; Takayama was so impressed that post-match the two embraced in an appreciable moment of respect. Hey, it's Sasadango-Trump, and as such, tonight's non-sequiter ppoint presentation was in English :o) YaY! Will Ishikawa taking the fall lead to his DAMNATION expulsion? Sasaki/Kasai was not my bag, and that finish was too protracted."

[8.0] "Wasn't the biggest fan of the first half of the show. Six man tag title match was ok, eight man tag suffered from lack of Hirata's theme song, Irie vs Bailey was too short, but still pretty good, womens match was also good and the tag match with Oyama was probably the best match on the show at this point. The Dino vs Ryan match though... Look, I like Dino. I think he's pretty entertaining, but it's not a match I need 4 hours into a show that hasn't really been that great (not ot say it was bad, it wasn't). It didn't help that Joey Ryan was in it, but at least Dino managed to counter the Dick Flip, or whatever it's called. Luckily the second half delivered. Both tag matches were very good and while Sasaki vs Kasai wasn't really a match for me, it was still good. The main event blew away everything else on the card and, for me, saved it from being a bit dissapointing. It wasn't perfect, but the passing of the torch was done really well and the fact that it was probably Takeshita's best performance yet, made this even more special. While I don't agree that it was an all time great event, in the end I still had a lot of fun so I have to give it two thumbs up."

[10.0] "DDT Judgement~20th Anniversary Show is one of the best wrestling shows i've ever seen. Now i'm a big DDT fan and DDT isn't for everyone, but for those that likes the promotion, this is an instant classic. Quite possible the greatest show DDT has put on. The first few hours has the comedy tropes, but the last 4 HOURS of this show is loaded with just awesome match after awesome match, beginning with the Dino/Bailey match and through the rest of the show. EVERYONE and i mean everyone would be able to have a great time watching the last 4 hours of this show! (except Dino/Ryan which is nudged in between all the great matches, so if you don't wanna see the comedy, that's the only one you have to skip). That main event of Konosuke Takeshita vs. HARASHIMA is a nearly perfect match, that i'm giving 5 STARS. Yes, that is indeed the case. This is the greatest match i've seen outside of New Japan this decade. Absolutely up there with the best Wrestle Kingdom matches. I don't have superlatives enough to fairly describe this match. It was from another world. Shigehiro Irie vs. Mike Bailey... Shuji Ishikawa & Tetsuya Endo vs. Masakatsu Funaki & Yukio Sakaguchi... Daisuke Sasaki vs. Jun Kasai... All amazing matches. And last but not least! Kota Ibushi, Daisuke Sekimoto & Jun Akiyama vs. Keiji Muto, Sanshiro Takagi & Isami Kodaka. One of the most incredible spectacles i've ever seen. Keiji Muto & Jun Akiyama finally going at each other and the crowd was losing their mind for it. And Ibushi flying everywhere. Sekimoto throwing mean suplexes. This was like a dream. You HAVE to sign up to *link removed* and watch this show! It's one of my favorite shows ever."

[9.0] "This was awesome! Only a one match that comes comes even close to the MOTYC level, but overall this was still one of the best shows of the year. The undercard was really good, the Irie/Bailey match was an awesome sprint (*** 3/4), the Joshi 6 man was very good, Big Match Meiko is still one of the best out there (*** 1/4), the KUDO/Takayama tag match was very good as well (*** 1/2), Dino/Ryan obviously did nothing for me, skip this shit. The tag title match was really awesome, with Big Dog Shuji being a stand out as always (****). The 6 man tag was so much fun, so entertaining (*** 3/4), and Sasaki/Kasai was surprisingly good (*** 1/2), and the main event, as expected, was incredible, MoTN by far (**** 1/4). Amazing show overall."

[10.0] "A great show, I recommend Daisuke Sasaki vs. Jun Kasai, Mike Bailey vs. Shigehiro Irie and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Shingen Takeda, and Yukimura Sanada vs. Katsuie Shibata and Kenshin Uesugi, and Nobunaga Oda (Daisuke Sekimoto, Jun Akiyama & Kota Ibushi vs. Isami Kodaka, Keiji Muto & Sanshiro Takagi). I think Konosuke Takeshita vs. HARASHIMA and Danshoku Dino vs. Joey Ryan are MOTY contenders."

[10.0] "A strong Anniversary show that seems to be opening a new chapter in the history of DDT, with them getting tour buses and announcing that they want to run the Tokyo Dome. All the dark matches were fun; DNA/TJP/Heavymetalweight stuff is always enjoyable. The Trios title match was a fun little opener with plenty of good wrestlers (***1/4). The 8-Person tag was similarly fun with some great comedy; the incredibly young Yuni was a star here (***). Irie vs Bailey was an amazing 8-minute sprint (****). The joshi trios match was pretty good as well (***1/4). Togo & Takayama vs KUDO & Oyama was very nice, especially since Oyama is an MMA fighter trying out pro wrestling (***1/2). Dino vs Joey is practically impossible to rate, since it's such a complex and wacky comedy segment; I will recommend it for being so crazy though. After intermission, things really got good. Sakaguchi & Funaki vs DAMNATION was a VERY solid tag match where the obvious result didn't happen without taking anything out of the match; Endo & Shuji is a good team and Endo looks like a star (***3/4). The Dynasty Warriors trios match was a fun match with a bunch of big names; Ibushi as Nobunaga is a treasure (***1/2). Kasai vs Sasaki was a pretty brutal match that showed that fire Kasai always has in hardcore, bloody matches; Sasaki was the great cool(ish) heel he is and played good foil to him before finally putting him down after one final ladder/table spot (***3/4). The main event was MOTN, although I expected a tad more; Takeshita isn't all there quite yet, but you can tell DDT is behind him for a reason. This match didn't really have that overarching story that a passing of a torch should have, but it was in fact a great moment for the very young Takeshita, and a lot of the sequences and hits in this were just great (****). No MOTYCs, but a rock-solid show with a large and lively crowd that made everything feel bigger and better. A highly recommended show for enjoyment's sake."
