320.11.2017see base 2cubed6.0Some good stuff but the ending fizzled due to the Spirit Squad and the ending of the main . The tournament has produced entertaining matches thus far aside from the arm wrestling non sense . EYFBO (Angel Ortiz & Mike Draztik) vs. The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) was great as was my top match Ringkampf (Timothy Thatcher & WALTER) vs. The Rottweilers (Homicide & Low Ki) .
411.11.2017Glover7.0Briscoes vs EYFBO was a very solid match; nothing amazing unfortunately, but the usual great tag offense from Draztik and Ortiz shined against the physicality of the veteran team (***1/2+). The Shotgun 4-Way was decent stuff but didn't stand out much (**3/4). Jinny managed to get a REALLY nice 7-minute match out of a woman I'd literally never seen before; Kelly had some fire to her offense that I liked, but Jinny working her over and making her offense look good as only she can was the highlight; I also very much enjoyed the kick exchange and the finish (***1/2). A4 vs Young Lions just didn't capture my interest much of the time; Al-Ani and Andy are great on offense, especially towards the beginning and end, but Kid/Aslan are just so bland to me and basically made A4 take the brunt of making things exciting (*** to ***1/4). Rottweilers vs Ringkampf was all over the place in a good way; 4 men only similar in style in their raw physicality, with Ringkampf controlling inside the ring, Ki and Homicide controlling outside, and both teams trying to adapt to the other; Thatcher was a real treat in this as he adapted to the brawling and Low Ki was the same (****+). Massive Product vs Spirit Squad was mostly a cooldown comedy match and it did its job well enough; I did enjoy the impromptu arm wrestling match in the middle of the match though (***). Dragunov has some of the best fire and fighting spirit on the indies right now for somebody with his experience level, and Bad Bones played a good heel for him here, Ilja's ability to get destroyed and just go FUCK YOU FIGHT ME with his body language anyway is amazing; the brawling between wXw faces and RISE was good too; the finish was kind of bleh though, just a way to screw Ilja out of the match and turn Da Mack heel, but it pulled the match down (***1/2). A solid show with a couple very good matches and a really great tag.
The Rottweilers vs. Ringkampf: Hartes Brawling mit Technik indem alles möglich wäre, inklusive Homicides Gabel. Geiles Match!
