[10.0] "Spoiler warning ofc We kick off with a Public Enemy 'Lex Luger cut' (which is just a close up surprise shot of someone running in), to start off the show with no entrance. They brawl with Hugh and Barb while they hit each other harder and harder as the match goes on. Benoit and Finlay get the crowd really riled up, as Benoit takes home a W in a good match. Booker comes out, with Stevie Ray, and Benoit goes on about if Booker ever needs a reliable partner, he should rely on Benoit. Stevie is right there? Stevie steps in and interrupts, Benoit keeps repeating himself in different wording which is hilarious, and Stevie kicks his ass. Who steps in to help Benoit? THE RETURN OF MONGO! We fill the card with a solid NWO Japan tag and a Canyon match. Jericho gets the Cruiserweight title, as JJ Dillion is slandering his name, Jericho goes out with his hands up singing we are the Champions. He talks ill of Dean's dad, gets his ass beat into the back. Curt Henning and Rude talk about how they've swerved a bunch of people, and Henning swears to never swerve Rude. They look at the camera, look back at each other, and repeat. Really funny. Giant keeps a cigarette in his mouth while he beats Chris Adams. Nash and Sting are the tag team and have a good match with Harlem Heat. We get an interview with Scott Steiner with Bischoff asking questions, pretty funny. We close the show with an ok main event, but it makes sense for Piper, DDP and Macho to be in a ring and for it to not work out. NWO break into the cage, get a beat down for the first time in a while. And Kevin Nash gets a cameraman to follow him, while he finds a way for the Wolfpac to get back into the cage by lifting it up. Could very well be the best show they've ever done. Would be a 9.5/10, but since the rating is too low, gotta go 10. I don't get how WCW can't do this weekly."

[7.0] "There were far better Nitro episodes in '98, but this one was solid. The Benoit/Finlay match was great and while the rest of the show was a bit of a letdown, Sting declaring his tag champs partner was cool and the ensuing match with Harlem Heat was not a good one, but was interesting because maybe we have a Booker T/Stevie Ray feud coming? And the cage match was actually really fun. Of course we don't get a clean finish, but it was fun ending."

[4.0] "Big letdown IMO. We get one big match in Finlay v Benoit, and Jericho gets to be on the mic again when he's awarded the title, so that's always enjoyable. Other than that though this was pretty tame. Starts out with garbage wrestling and ends with nWo kayfabe injuring Savage so he could undergo surgery, and he wouldn't be back in the ring till spring '99. I don't mind shuffling out the old boys, but I'd be pissed if getting beat up was the way I had to go, considering his age. Booker T is back in tag team action, and it's just depressing to watch. Sting is old, but he's been somewhat more energetic since joining the Wolfpac, but Nash is awful and Stevie Ray seems out of it. It's just a lackluster performance. Even the nWo Japan match was disappointing, which was a bit of a surprise."

Unterdessen wirkt Chris Kanyon ohne Mortis-Kostüm angenehm enthemmt.
