115.12.2016jboyaquar6.0We're in Kyoto and it's a shame I see no stain-glass b/c A) It's a venue I've been to B) it's pretty inside the gibbous-shaped, attractively lit construct. This looks like any common two-tiered martial arts hall. Before the heels even make it to the ring, The B Club heels attack and brawl w/ GBH all about. Later B Soldier tries to choke Honma out w/ a strap before being saved. Diving and top-rope Kokeshi gets the duke for Honma. Fine, perk-up opener. Does Omega know anyone in the back, out-of camera by the entrance, b/c he spends a long moment there. Double-heel action that breaks into a brief building-wide brawl a couple after the bout begins. Omega seems to have picked-up from Naito by keeping his T-shirt on t/out a match, but as a true Japanese Naito recognizes that as a tournament he should respect tradition and wrestle appropriately w/out, a detail that is not very LIdJ. I would think it would hurt to have someone of Evil's size powerbombed on your knee but Omega placed his hard throw well. Evil gets the win after SAN eliminates Ome w/ a missle dropkick and plancha, and Evil hits his STO on Owens. Listen to 'The Elite's' Periscope chat for lots incl. them ripping Yoshi-T a new one. Speaking of, third match in-a-row w/ a brawl outside but it's well-conceived as each has gone to different areas of the floor. Noone pops when Gunn/Y-T do their hot tags. CHAOS works light w/ these two low quality workrate goofs. Eventually Okada hits The Rainmaker on Y-T... why not give the rub of a pinfall to Y-H? The M Event was the one match I was most looking forward to and for good reason - it's about at the same level as the CHAOS struggle in Hiroshima. Twas mostly Nagata/Ishii & the high school friends facing off and as he got the better of Goto t/out most the match a sleeper, N's harsh back suplex on I's trapezoid, and then a PK and bye bye Goto. 5. 5 deservedly rounded up for the effort and professionalism.
