Der Opening Match zu Beginn war gleich richtig gut mit paar starken Phasen und auch das Progress Women's Title Match konnte sich sehen lassen. Von Sabre und Scurll hatte ich ein bisschen mehr erwartet vor allem nach dem riesigen Pop für Marty, das Match war nichtsdestotrotz auch noch gut. Havoc vs. Haskins war für mich nach dem Atlas Title Match das beste Match des Abends und ein tolles Match dieser Fehde. Riddle vs. Walter vs. Thatcher wie schon erwähnt mit der besten Performance an dem Tag und ein Top-Match in 2017. Das Contender Match war solide, aber nichts großartiges. Dann kam das große Titelmatch mit dem Titelgewinn auf den alle warteten. Das Match selbst war zwar gut, aber nach dem ganzen Aufbau hatte ich mir hier ein bisschen mehr erhofft. Es zündete nicht wirklich bei den beiden. Alles in allem war das trotzdem eine großartige Show. |

| 9 | 31.05.2018 | sign squad | 5.0 | Fand die Show insgesamt im Vergleich zu vielen anderen "kleineren" Show vorher nicht so rund, nicht so spannend, nicht so unterhaltsam. Inbesondere der Sports-Entertainment Main Event ging mir über lange Strecken einfach nur hart auf den Keks. Da auch zu keinem Zeitpunkt in Frage stand, dass Dunne den Titel vielleicht doch verteidigt, war das halt nicht spannend. Richtig dumm die Geste nach der Niederlage, wo Dunne Banks den Titel zuwirft und abwinkt. Insgesamt war die Show unrund, weil alles außer Zack vs. Marty aus Spots bestand. Vor vorne bis hinten kein seriöses, ordentlich Wrestling sonder nur Spot Spot Spot, was bei den meisten Shows von Progress eben nicht in diesem Maße betrieben wird. Das Death Match war fast zahm, kam natürlich trotzdem an aber nichts sah "ernst" genug aus, als mehr zu sein als nur Hardcore Gedaddel. Walter vs. Thatcher vs. Riddle für mich mit weitem Abstand das Match, welches ich nicht leiden konnte. Walter in einem puren Spotgedöhns Match in dem jeder Mal dran ist mit seinen Moves ist ein absoluter Abtörner. Viel zu fake, viel zu niedlich viel zu gestellt und nicht die Aura von Walter Singles Matches. Insgesamt eine reine Highspots Show, was ich über 3 1/2 Stunden nicht gut wegstecke. |

| 11 | 19.01.2018 | CGNRavens | 7.0 | Eine tolle Stimmung im Ally Pally, was ich sehr genossen habe an diesem Abend. Wenn's sogar meiner besseren Hälfte gefallen hat, muss was gut gewesen sein. Ich muss sagen, dass ich bis Marty-Zack echt kalt war. Klar, im Eröffnungskampf fliegen alle vier mit Leitern durch die Gegend, aber ich war nicht ganz so unterhalten aus meiner 3. Reihe. Zack gegen Marty habe ich gefühlt 8301 Mal gesehen, jedoch war das heute echt emotional, weil man beide einfach nicht gesehen hatte seit Monaten. Ich habe mich sehr auf Havoc gegen Haskins gefreut, leider habe ich von diesem Match nicht all zu viel gesehen, weil viel auf dem Boden, bzw. die beiden sich so hingestellt hatten, dass ich vieles nicht erkennen konnte. Das Match des Abends war das folgende, was auch die Note hier definitiv rettet. WALTER siegt in einem sehr guten Kampf gegen Nemesis Riddle und Buddy Thatcher und holt sich den Belt zurück. Das Scramble Match war eig. nur da um Dennis-Andrews zu bringen und im Hauptkampf machte es bei mir nicht "Klick", liegt vllt. daran, dass ich Banks für sehr überbewertet halte. |
| 12 | 29.12.2017 | marexcel | 9.0 | CCK und BSS eröffnen die größte Veranstaltung des Jahres mit einem teilweise arg konstruierten Ladder-Match. Gute Action in jedem Fall, aber fühlt sich teilweise doch sehr choreographiert an. Die Damen machen das ganz gut und auch wenn ich Dahlia immer noch etwas unrund im Ring sehe, macht sie das hier ordentlich. Schöne Grüße von Jinny. Besser kann so eine ZSJ Open-Challenge wohl kaum laufen. Schöne UK-Paarung abseits der Standard-PROGRESS-Card. Action ist fein, aber auf einen Showstealer hatten sie es wohl nicht abgesehen. Die Rivalität zwischen Haskins und Havoc ist doch recht fix eskaliert, aber die Paarung gefällt mir. Im Ring eskaliert es dann genauso. So mancher Hardcore-Spot ist einfach drüber und die Verbindung zum Wrestling fehlt mir dann schon, wenn Havoc Haskins auf verschiedene Arten verstümmelt, aber die Schlussphase sitzt und drückt schön die Garstigkeit aus. Big Lads Wrestling mit einem absolut High Impact-Move-Festival. Etliche Powermoves, Kicks und Chops ohne Verschnaufpause. Starkes Tempo für die Move-Dichte. Bringt wirklich Spaß, der Ausgang auch. (****) Wolfgangs Debüt sitzt. Weiteres Chaos gibt? s dann im interessant besetzten No. 1-Contender-Match. Feines Spotfest für zwischendurch. Eddie Dennis? Heel-Turn interessiert mich irgendwie wenig. Dunne hat weiterhin den besten Entrance im Pro Wrestling. Titelwechsel hier etwas zu offensichtlich aufgebaut. Der Beginn noch arg von BSS zerfleddert, liefern sich die Herren im Anschluss ein starkes Wrestling-Match mit wirklich feinen Sequenzen. Dunne gibt den cocky Champ, Travis den aufopferungsvoll kämpfen Herausforderer. Das führt in der Folge zu guten Spots. Die Verquickung mit CCK und BSS muss man einfach akzeptieren bei der Konstellation. Klappt auch, gutes Ding, übertriebene Dramatik, aber passt dann wiederum zur Fehde. (****) Alaxandra Palace wird nicht mehr meine Lieblingslocation, das frisst hier in Teilen sogar etwas Atmosphäre. Aber dennoch ein sehr starker PROGRESS-Event |

That Piledriver! Man, how awesome was that. Zack Sabre Jr. -vs- Marty Scurll [*** 1/4] It’s Sabre and Scrull…. Love it! Sabre with lethal bending Scrull’s foot! Scurll on the other hand was sly as a Villain. A total crowd pleasing affair even if they didn’t have the most to fight about. Jimmy Havoc -vs- Mark Haskins – (Death Match) [** 3/4] Grueling hardcore bout, but they kept it going for too long surviving deadly weapon spots and finishers until just about everyone was feeling “Come on! That’s enough now! ”. Mark Andrews -vs- Chief Deputy Dunne -vs- Eddie Dennis -vs- Jack Sexsmith -vs- James Drake -vs- Morgan Webster -vs- Strangler Davis -vs- Zack Gibson – (8-Way Scramble Match) [*** 1/4] For such a potential mess, this was pretty great! | 22 | 25.09.2017 | NastyYaffa | 4.0 | CCK/BSS was an OK opener - ultimately I thought CCK dragged the match down quite a bit; they just offered nothing interesting in the match in my eyes (**), Toni/Dahlia was also OK (**), Marty/ZSJ was really good - felt like a fun, technically sound sprint; enjoyed it very much (***3/4), Havoc/Haskins was not my kind of a match - went for too long & the pinfall kickouts were ridiculous towards the end (*1/2), Riddle/Thatcher/WALTER on the other hand was EXACTLY my kind of a match - just incredible action from start to finish, one of the top matches of the year & easy MOTN (****3/4), the Scramble match was nothing really, Gibson's usual antics were fun as usual though (*), Dunne/Banks was a massive disappointment - the overbooking wasn't interesting; didn't come off natural at all, felt super forced (*). Overall Chapter 55 was a mixed bag - some very forgettable matches, a super disappointing, bad main event - but also then a really good match between the LDRS & a classic for the Atlas Championship. I'd say overall the show is more on the weaker side, but it was still OK. |

| 25 | 23.09.2017 | TooSweetPhil | 9.0 | All Killer, No Filler - PROGRESS halt! Der Opener liefert erwartungsgemäß tolle Spots und ist eine mehr als würdige Zusammenschließung der CCK/BSS Fehde. Am Anfang wirken die Sequenzen etwas deplatziert, vor allem bei den Leiter Moves steigern sie sich aber kontinuierlich und sehr gut (***¾). Mega Pop für Marty Scurll! Seine Matches gegen Sabre beeindrucken mich generell nicht allzu sehr. Hier lässt man das Ganze zum Glück nicht zu lange laufen sondern hält sich an eine schöne Technische Wrestling Formel. Gute Transitions, unerwartetes Finish, trotzdem nicht ganz rund (***). Mein Problem mit Death Matches ist, dass sie kaum Struktur haben und im "Spot Pause Spot Pause" Thema aufgebaut sind. Havoc & Haskins umgehen das und liefern ein Paar absurd gefährliche Spots und eine fantastische Finishing Stretch. Das Finish schmälert den Eindruck ein wenig (***¾). WALTER & Riddle können es einfach! Die Addition von Thatcher schadet da kein wenig, denn so hat man unglaublich harte und wieder einmal fantastische Sequenzen aller Beteiligten. Sehr hart geführt, dazu mega intensiv und unfassbar dynamisch. Ein absoluter Abriss im Atlas Titel Match (****¼ + MOTN)! Eight Way Scramble erfüllt die Erwartungen. Auch hier sind teils absurde Spots drin und jeder der Beteiligten darf glänzen - von Flugeinlagen zu Comedy & technischen Transitions. Finish kommt etwas unerwartet, dennoch richtig gut (***½+). Der Main Event ist nach Ospreay vs. Havoc das wohl größte PROGRESS Match aller Zeiten und ist dementsprechend so aufgebaut. Natürlich kann man argumentieren, dass dies am Ende ein kleiner Overkill und einfach zu viel gewollt war, aber das war nicht ein Match, bei dem man einwandfreies Wrestling sehen wollte, sondern ein Match, bei dem man bis zum Bitteren Ende (Pun Intended) mit Travis Banks mitfiebern sollte, deswegen runde ich auf (****). Fantastische Show und neben den vielen anderen PROGRESS Shows ein Kandidat für die Beste des Jahres! (9. 35/10) |

The action in the ring was great there were some amazing spots and both teams held their own. The ending was quiet nice as well and started building a possible BBS break up. The second match was very nice as well. I thought both wrestlers did a great job and I think the right wrestler won, It was exactly what the match should have been. The whole bit with Jinny at the end was great story building as well, really just a great job done here as well. ZSJ v Marty was exactly what you would expect. They both gave there usual and put on a great match. The Scurll bit at the end was really nice too. As I'm not a hardcore fan I didnt watch the next match, I assume its exactly what you would expect it to be personally I don't like these matches so it just serves as break time. Next the atlas title was put on and another great match in it. They made Riddle and Walter feel like titans which was great and worked perfectly with the electric crowd. I wish Thatcher could have looked a bit stronger in this, he almost felt like a third wheel in this match but it was not to much of a problem. Next Wolfgang made a suprise appearance, in all honesty it was a little bit underwhelming to me. The number one contenders match was also very good each wrestling got to show there stuff and everything came off really good. They picked a good number 1 contender especially with the upcoming match where Travis Banks seemed like the likely winner having a face win made the results of the finally seem a little more unsure. Last but not least the main event. The promo to start was great it really brought you up to everything that happened and got you hyped for what was gonna happen next. Very good opener (***1/2) even if I expected a bit more from CCK and BSS, Storm vs. Dahlia was the weakest part of the event (**), great match between Sabre and Scurll(****) and emotional goodbye for the Villain, Havoc and Haskins absolutely MAULED in each other (****1/4), great story told in the ring and brutal at times (goddamn that paper spot), Atlas Championship Triple Threat was probably the best thing of the night, fighting wise (****1/2), I saw some of these spots other times but the addition of Thatcher was perfect, the 8 Man Scramble was nice and easy to follow (***) with an awesome post-match angle, Dunne vs. Banks was a fucking great Main Event (****1/2) there was plenty of overbooking, but it was so well done that it worked perfectly into the story they wanted to tell. All in all, I had a great time watching this, PROGRESS is always enjoyable but they really outdid themselves this time around. |

Main event was overbooked to shit, but I still have to admit it was a very good match, ****. |
