Alles wirkt irgendwie nur angerissen, nichts so richtig mit Verstand am Optimum zu Ende geführt. Die mittlerweile doch recht umfangreiche Ankunft der Hogan-Buddies, wie zum Beispiel der Nasties, Traylor, Beefcake, Duggan, Darsow und so weiter und so fort, spiegelt sich allmählich stark in der miserablen Matchqualität wider. Wo früher die Horsemen, Pillman, Austin oder Steamboat brillierten, herrscht hier ein trübes Niveau mit fast ausschließlich mangelhaften Prügel-Partien und wenig spannend gebuchten Matches. Ein Muster seiner Zeit, es fehlt das Super zum Brawl. Nicht gut. |

On the positive side, the Savage/Sting vs Avalanche/Rogers semi-main was actually a pretty fun attraction tag match with big stars that succeeded in getting the crowd off its seats. The Hogan-Vader main, also, was a pretty solid main event brawl, but did have a lot of screwiness (the DQ finish could be forgiven as the main thing here seemed to be setting up Hogan vs Flair, but this DQ came from Flair getting in the ring and chopping Hogan, despite that Hogan had already blasted Vader with a chair in full view of the referee with no consequence). Harlem Heat vs Nasty Boys for the tag belts was mostly OK too, but they would have better matches elsewhere. On the negative side... well, pretty much everything else. The Wright vs Roma match had the makings of a good opening bout, but this would be the match where Roma infamously went into business for himself rather than following his directive of making Wright look good, ultimately leading to Roma's dismissal from WCW and effectively ending his career in the major promotions. Dustin Rhodes vs Blacktop Bully similarly had the makings of a good match but dragged on at least two, maybe three times longer than it should have. And the remaining matches - Jim Duggan vs Bunkhouse Buck and Kevin vs Evad Sullivan - were absolutely abysmal. '95 was mostly a pretty bad year for both WCW and the WWF and this won't do anything to change that opinion. |

The last two matches pick the show up a bit, with a pretty fun tag match with Sting & Savage against Avalanche & Rogers and a decent title bout between Hogan and Vader. Two last matches are fine, but avoid the rest, believe me. |

Everything else on the card however is a chore to sit through, with none of the matches on the undercard worth a watch, except for perhaps the opening bout, Alex Wright vs. Paul Roma, which is more notorious for the controversy surrounding said match (both backstage and in the ring) than the quality of the match in question. This show is not worth a watch, with the exception of the main event of Hogan vs. Vader, which, screwy finish aside, got Vader over as a threat to Hogan pretty well in my opinion. |

Erneut wird einem ein Duell der Sullivans präsentiert. Unglaublich wie damals die Zuschauer zu begeistern waren. (0*) 4. HH gegen Nastys war eindeutig zu lange. Match selber war auch nicht gut. (1 3/4*) 5. Bully gegen Rhodes war langweilig. (1 3/4*) 6. TT Match war auch nichts Besonderes. Unglaublich wie sich die ME Szene der WCW innerhalb kurzer Zeit verändert hat. Männer wie Butcher, Avalanche & Sullivan die eigentlich nichts dort verloren haben sind nun fast schon Dauergäste. (1 3/4*) 7. ME siehe Guide. Das muss bis dahin die schlechteste Ausgabe des Superbrawls gewesen sein. Der ME mit unglaublichen dämmlichen Finish. Dazu noch in jedem Match ein Hogan Buddy. 2 Pkt. aufgrund des Openers. |

Dave vs Kevin Sullivan is terrible, then there is Dustin Rhodes vs Bully, another weird and annoying match. So many DQs and cheap endings, the final two matches are good but not enough to save Superbrawl from mediocrity. Avoidable, nothing relevant happens here. |

The opener is actually pretty good, Wright is very technically gifted and Roma shows a lot of personality. Buck/Duggan is straight up horrible, just an awful awful match, and the Sullivan match is also truly terrible, but fortunately after you get past that hump it looks a little better. Nastys/HH is a solid match, could have been something pretty good except for a really stupid finish. Dustin/Bully is actually good, Dustin was good at pulling strong performances out of others in this era and this is not an exception. The tag match is actually pretty excellent, the clear match of the night in my book. The main event is... complicated, at times it was bordering on great but then Hogan pulls some of usual no selling shtick, and the finish is a mess. Still, it's very enjoyable at times, Hogan is willing to take some stiff shots from Vader and even breaks out of his usual formula here and there. This would not be a good show in most eras, but in the midst of some of the worst WCW ever it actually doesn't look too bad by comparison. |

Ganz im Gegensatz zu den beiden folgenden unfassbar schlechten Brawling Matches. Hier passierte nichts aber auch rein gar nichts was in irgendeiner Weise interessant war. Da ist Kirmes-Wrestling besser. Auch das Tag Team Match war eine herbe Enttäuschung, aber auf dieser Card fast noch ein Lichtblick, da hier zumindest Sherri ein wenig Farbe in das Brawling-Einerlei brachte. Blacktop Bully vs Dustin Rhodes war dann natürlich zur Abwechslung mal Brawling. Viel zu lang für das wenige was man zu sehen bekam. Der Semi-Main-Event war dann fast schon eine Erlösung. Weiß Gott nicht gut, aber unterhaltsam. Hier passierte wenigstens was, auch wenn das Finish fast schon ungewollt aussah. Vom Entertaining-Faktor war das das MotN. Der Main Event war gut aufgebaut und im Ring bekam man auch das geboten was man erwarten konnte. Also nicht viel, aber zumindest solide Kost. Da das Publikum gut dabei war kann man sich den Kampf echt gut ansehen. Das Finish war allerdings in bester Hogan-Manier unterirdisch. Insgesamt eine ganz schwache Card, bei der man sich alles bis auf die letzten beiden Matches echt sparen sollte. Es ist schon faszinierend zu sehen wie WCW es geschafft innerhalb eines halben Jahres das Niveau der Shows so dermaßen runter zu wirtschaften. |

Der Opener war zu lang und war ein Hold-Fest, Blacktop/Rhodes bot ein klassisches Heel-Manager Finish, aber nicht mehr. Das Tag Title Match war auch nichts besonderes, tat aber nicht weh. Dagegen waren das Match zwischen Buck und Duggan und besonders das der Sullivans eine Beleidigung vor dem Herrn. Auch der Mainevent, der zwar solides In-Ring Geschehen bot, aber bookingtechnisch neben die Spur gesetzt wurde, konnte da nicht viel retten. Wenn man etwas vom SuperBrawl V sehen will, dann Savage/Sting vs. Avalanche/Rogers. Vom Rest sollte man die Hände lassen. |

Hogan vs Vader was good for the most part, little BS booking here but pretty great. Hogan vs Vader had so much potential. |

Für mich ist das definitv nicht mehr ausreichend. |

Sehr unterhaltsam. Blacktop Bully vs. Dustin war ein guter fight. Das Tag Team Match zwischen Savage & Sting und Avalanche & Rogers war insgesamt ansehnlich. Der Main Event und gleichzeitig das beste Match an dem Abend war sehr gut. Vader wusste mal wieder zu überzeugen. Insgesamt ein solider PPV. |

Die folgenden zwei Matches sollte man sich nicht unbedingt in müdem Zustand ansehen, denn sie bergen die Gefahr des Einschlafens. Das Tag Team Championship Match zwischen den Nastys und Harlem Heat wurde schön aufgebaut und Spannung war vorhanden. Leider nutze man diese schöne Basis nicht für mehr als ein solides Match. Blacktop - Dustin Rhodes reiht sich vom Niveau her zu Match 2 und 3, war dennoch aber besser als jene Matches. Das TagTeam Match hätte durchaus noch einige Minuten verkraften können, denn ich fühlte mich ganz gut unterhalten. Schönes Booking mit einigen netten Moves. Der Main Event war anschließend das beste Match des Abends, aber auch nicht wirklich herausragend, sodass der Event es noch zu knappen 4 Punkten schafft. |
