704.02.2017see base 2cubed7.0Most of the show was pretty good but the main fell a little flat . Good match but never picked up steam . The Never match did a good job of keeping both the champion and the challenger strong . Matches worth watching : Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma) & Tiger Mask vs. TenKoji (Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima) & Jushin Thunder Liger , CHAOS (Gedo, Hirooki Goto & Tomohiro Ishii) vs. Guerrillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) & Chase Owens , Juice Robinson vs. Kyle O'Reilly , BULLET CLUB (Bad Luck Fale, Kenny Omega & Yujiro Takahashi) vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay & YOSHI-HASHI) , Los Ingobernables de Japon (EVIL, SANADA & Tetsuya Naito) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Michael Elgin & Ryusuke Taguchi , KUSHIDA (c) vs. BUSHI and my top match was Katsuyori Shibata (c) vs. Bobby Fish .

1303.10.2016jboyaquar5.0I'm glad I flew to Japan for DG's Ota show and not this. Henare is not yet interesting. Trent B came off as somewhat bothered by Rocky's penchant for goofin' off... a turn coming? Speaking of annoyed, there is no doubt now that Yoshi-Tatsu is purposefully over tagging with perennial loser Capt. N. J. And I don't mean 'over, ' I mean disdainfully over any interaction with the pathetic masked man. The third and fourth matches were standard Korakuen fare. With Omega winning G-1/B Fish getting a 'Never' shot, I feel Kyle's putting on weight and slowing up his game, which as of yet has yet to mature/refine itself as a fine wine thus making this singles match with the less polished, (but quite affable, ) Juice an over-extended tedious bore. Omega's remarkable in that the potency of his vibrance matches his position on the card; when in the Main event he feels like a big star, when in forgettable tags, etc. he's just another guy. Like a babyface worth empathizing with, Shibata's selling of his shoulder/neck made the Never match with the 'infamous' (only in his own mind) one more bearable than I thought. Bushi's push stems from his father-in-law's position as an exec with the 'Hello Kitty' corporation, as well as bringing fans to shows. The Main was very similar to NOAH events since the arrival of Suz-Gun but despite B's medicore fundamentals, the match was like all Japanese main-events... the time was put in, the effort was professional and it was dramatic at the appropriate junctures.

3018.09.2016Hunter Dunn7.0Enjoyable event. All the opening tags were nothing special but nothing terrible. CHAOS vs BC 1 was fun, nothing blowaway but nothing bad **1/2. Juice vs O'Reilly was actually very enjoyable and I found it to be a good match. Robinson is doing well for himself ***1/4. CHAOS vs BC 2 was another fun match that furthered each storyline. I was a little upset with Omega taking the pin but I guess they have to make it seem like Tacos has a chance ***1/4. LIJ vs Elgin, Tana, Taguchi was also a very good match. All guys had chemistry and worked well together ***1/2. Fish vs Shibata was really good and MOTN. Shibata dripping blood from that headbutt made me cringe ***3/4. Kushida vs BUSHI I actually found really good. Ik a lot were dissapointed but I enjoyed it. Could it have been better? Absolutely, this was good but could've been great. It felt like a match building to an epic climax but they stopped a few minutes short. Had they had a better climax this would've been amazing. Still I found it really good. BUSHI winning was nice. Props to Elgin for selling his leg still ***1/2. Overall fine show. Nothing super but a good start to the 3 day Destruction
