[8.0] "The official WCW youtube channel was set up recently with this PPV being among the first uploads so it felt like a good time to watch and rate it. It's a consistently strong show, some of the weaker matches could've used either more time or better finishes but everything keeps at least a decent level. Theres a nice mix between more technical matches and more brawl heavy bouts to keep diversity. Of course the big highlight is the main event between Steamboat and Flair who as always deliver a great match. A good example of WCW at full potential. [10.0] "Finally a perfect show from top to bottom. Obviously not all the matches were classics, but every single one was good, plus a lot of them surpassed a certain, solid level. Enough said that "the worst" matches here were Mero vs DDP and Vader vs The Boss and these two were still pretty good bouts that got me hooked. Everything else could have been the main event on any other PPV and I wouldn't mind it. Regal vs Pillman was a great, technical contest with Brian bringing back his incredible charisma and Steven excelling with his heel work, The Nasties vs Payne & Foley was a whole lot of fun, where both teams produced a great chaos that felt like a real fight and it was getting better with every minute, while Austin vs Muta had a weak finish, but everything else up to this point was perfect and Steve was showing once more that he was one of the best heel workers at the time. Sting got a very good match out of Rude with the crowd going crazy for every single offense from the babyface, plus the pop they got for Sting's win was incredible. And then a huge surprise for me was Dustin vs Buck, as they delivered a phenomenal, bloody brawl with Rhodes easily connecting with the crowd and Golden really reminding me of Terry Funk with his solid work, while the main event was the best match of the night with Flair and Steamboat adding another outstanding bout to their saga. Technically flawless, entertaining match with a nicely told story of Steamboat being tired of Flair's heel antics, which made this contest feel even more intense than their previous three big meetings. So overall a phenomenal show, lots of fantastic matches and a hot crowd from the beginning until the end."
[8.0] "A very good PPV with a great main event and good pacing with regards to the match ordering. Schiavone and Heenan were fun to listen to especially after watching lots of Raw!"
[9.0] "Vielleicht der beste WCW-PPV, dessen große Klasse es ist, auch im Bereich der Under- und Mid-Card absolut keine Ausfälle aufzuweisen. Mero, Page, Regal, Austin, Pillman, Muta, Foley, dazu Nasties in ihrer Prime - das ist alles mindestens solide, auch wenn das Tag-Titels Match meiner Meinung nach trotzdem gnadenlos overratet ist. Richtig überdurchschnittlich ist das Match der Big Men, sogar noch besser das Bunkhouse Match und der Mainer kratzt am Must-See. Die einzige leichte Enttäuschung ist Sting/Rude, welches klar hinter seinen Möglichkeiten bleibt. Ich habe absolut ein Herz für diese Show und runde daher sogar nach oben auf."

Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne and the Nasty Boys had a wild brawl, Dustin Rhodes and Bunkhouse Buck beat the shit out of each other, Sting and Rude was fun, and Steamboat and Flair tore the house down when they really shouldn't have been able to anymore."
[9.0] "It was one of the better points of WCW during its heyday. This was before the Monday Night Wars keep in mind. So, for them to put on a banger show like this, was phenomenal."
[8.0] "A few mediocre matches, nothing horrible. But there were several matches that were very solid and enjoyable to watch. A few disappointing finishes to top it off. However it was one of the better WCW events in the early 90? s."
[7.0] "Possibly the last good/great PPV before the Hogan era of WCW. Obviously you want to check out Flair/Steamboat and the Chicago Street Fight is worth a look. Nothing outright offensive on this show."
[8.0] "In der Undercard waren durchaus ein paar Lücken, aber letztendlich alles vorzeigbar, die Qualität steigert sich und bietet am Ende eine gute Mischung. Hier und da blieben Potenziale ungeutzt, aber unter dem Strich war das ein wirklich guter PPV. Main Event ist mein MOTN und Street Fight, Bunkhouse Match und Vader/Boss ebenfalls sehenswert."
[8.0] "Der Opener ist kurz, aber als Start gut, da beide sich hier dynamisch und beweglich zeigen und für die Kürze wirklich was Gutes hinbekommen. Das zweite Match ist dann Technik gegen High Flying, was sich teilweise ein bisschen zieht aber gegen Ende - mit der Annäherung an das Time Limit - durchaus an Spannung gewinnt. Der Chicago Street Fight danach ist für mich das zweitbeste Match des Abends. Natürlich kein großartiges Wrestling aber eine wirkliche unterhaltsame und kreative Materialschlacht, in der die Stipulation richtig gut ausgenutzt wird.. Steve Austin gegen Great Muta ist für mich das schwächste Match des Abends, ohne schlecht zu sein. Handwerklich ist das in Ordnung aber bevor Muta ausrastet ist mir da zu wenig Feuer drin - und ausgerechnet das resultiert dann im einzig nicht so tollen Finish des Abends, auch wenn es mit Mutas Irrationalität Sinn ergibt. Sting gegen Rude lebt natürlich vom Characterwork beider und vor Allem auch von den Facereaktionen von Sting, der einen guten Underdog gibt. Das Bunkhouse Match ist nichts wrestlerisch besonderes aber ein anständig intensiver Brawl mit Character Development von Dustin und einem klassischen Heel Finish. Einen Brawl aber als Hoss Fight gibt es auch im Anschluss zwischen Vader und The Boss. Natürlich ist dieses Match vom Tempo das langsamste, hat dafür aber eine gute Stiffness zu bieten sowie einen fliegenden Vader, auch wenn das etwas verbotched aussah. Dann kam das ME, dass natürlich MOTN war. DIese 30 minuten fühlten sich wie deutlich weniger an, da es von Anfang an immer zu Sache ging mit Chop Serien, der Matchverlauf war abwechslungsreich mit dominanten Phasen von Flair, Comebacks von Steamboat, Comebacks von Flair durch Tricks und vor Allem gab es auch immer wieder diese Schlüsselmomente, in denen beide auch ihren Charakter zeigten. Das Finish war dann vor Allem vor dem Aufbau mit Bockwinkel passend. Insgesamt eine Show ohne Lowlights und zwei Matches die für mich herausstechen und daher 8 Punkte wert."
[7.0] "One of the better WCW PPV's, this show had some strong matches and nothing, at least nothing that was televised, that would qualify as being bad."
[6.0] "Lots of good stuff here, though a lot of nothingness too. DDP vs Badd was just bad itself. Badd was entertainingly flamboyant, but DDP offered nothing. **. Regal vs Brian was pretty good. Regal was a good heel, cowardly at times and aggressive at others, with nice submission holds. Brian had good energy to counter Regal's pace and got many nice hope spots. ***1/4. Nasty Boys vs Jack and Payne had some cool hardcore spots, but was still mostly just a messy brawl. Even by hardcore spotfest standards it didn't really stand out much. **1/2. Austin vs Muta was another alright match. Muta had very nice energy and charisma, which the crowd loved, but Austin's offence was pretty dull and focussed upon for far too long. The DQ finish was stupid. ***. Rude vs Sting was fine. Rude was a very good heel with his cocky poses and expressions. Sting had some random power-ups and was very cartoonish in his acting. Race and Vader's interference was pointless and annoying for the finish too. **3/4. The Bunkhouse match was lots of really awkward brawling, though with a few nice hardcore spots. Dustin sold well and had good charisma. Buck did nothing. Shit finish. **1/2 Vader vs Boss wasn't terrible, but just very slow and a typical 'big man' match. **1/4. Flair vs Steamboat was good and saved the show from being totally mediocre. Steamboat's selling and display of passion was great. Flair's melodrama was okay too. Lots of exciting quick pin attempts. Creative but disappointing finish. ***1/2"
[8.0] "Die ersten beiden Matches sind sehr solide und gute Anheizer für den weiteren Verlauf des Abends. Der Chicago Street Fight sowie das Bunkhouse Match sind jeweils zwei sehr unterhaltsame und spaßige Brawls. Austin vs. Muta & Sting vs. Rude sind solide - nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger. Vader vs. Boss ist ein überraschend starkes Match zweier Big Men. Der Main Event dann erwartungsgemäß stark. Tolle Performance von Flair und Steamboat. Insgesamt ein guter und durchweg spaßiger Pay-Per-View."

Several years after their legendary 1989 trilogy, Flair and Steamboat hooked it up again, and if the result wasn't quite to the same level as those previous clashes, it was sure close. We also a good semi-main with Sting and Rude, some violent and bloody brawls in the Vader vs. Boss, Dustin Rhodes vs. Bunkhouse Buck and Nasties vs. Cactus Jack & Maxx Payne matches, some good technical affairs with Regal vs. Pillman and Austin vs. Muta, and a fun opener with Badd and DDP. All killer and no filler in my book - among WCW's very best."
[9.0] "1. Das Match zw. B. Badd & DDP war okay. Zudem sah Diamond Doll damals ziemlich hot aus. (2 1/4*) 2. Ein gutes Match war auch das zwischen Pillman & Regal. Nur kotzt mich das erneute Time Limit Draw an. (3*) 3. Nasty Boys gegen Jack & Payne siehe Guide. (3 3/4*) 4. Austin und Muta konnten dann die Erwartungen nicht erfüllen. Irgendwie fand ich, dass das Match nie aus dem Ersten Gang rauskam. (3*) 5. Auch Rude & Sting konnten mich nicht mitreißen. Irgendwie wie bei all ihren Matches gegeneinander. Zudem finde ich es schade das man Rude den Gürtel abnahm. (3 1/4*) 6. Bunkhouse Match siehe Guide. 7. Boss gegen Vader siehe Guide. 8. ME siehe Guide. Der PPV war ziemlich gut. Nur leider blieben einige Matches hinter den Erwartungen zurück, weshalb die Höchstnote für mich nicht in Frage kommt. Tendiere zw. 8-9"
[9.0] "DDP/Badd is a surprisingly great opener, both guys are really hungry here and seem to be on the cusp of something much bigger. For DDP it would work out, sadly not as much for the future Mero. Regal/Pillman is actually a fantastic bout and arguably the best on the card, even more than the main event. Pillman is FULL of fire here and Regal is brilliant, both with incredible technique and bone rattling strikes, as well as a sneering meanness that gets the crowd all up in his grill. Smartly structured as well. Cactus & Payne/Nastys is excellent in it's way, a pretty out of control brawl that would look extreme even in ECW or Attitude, though it does get a little uncomfortable in how dangerous the spots seems to be. Austin/Muta is disappointing, Muta did not seem to care about his US appearances after 89. Sting/Rude is actually pretty bad, Rude is pretty shot physically and relies VERY heavily on rest holds, and Sting does a kind of lame no selling gimmick that he's not very good at. The finish is booked horribly as well, a badly timed mess with Vader and Harley Race. It's the only real down spot on the card though. Dustin/Buck is a great violent brawl, very bloody and intense, and underrated in my view. Vader/Boss is also way underrated, a fantastic super heavyweight bout which again features bloody brawling and some truly insane spots, this match should get way more love. Flair/Steamboat delivers a fantastic bout as well, you can feel the intensity returning from their previous encounters and there are a lot of clever fall backs. The crowd is red hot as well, for both guys, and the draw finish protects both men. A very fun show for the most part, I enjoyed it a lot!"
[9.0] "One of the best events of WCW. Most of the matches are good, I really enjoyed The Great Muta vs Steve Austin other than the recommended ones. Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat is almost a classic, the Chicago Street Fight match is a surprise for that year, and Regal vs Brian is too long but not bad. Solid event, recommended."
[10.0] "Flair vs Steamboat war ein genialer Main Event. Buck vs Dustin und Vader vs Boss waren überraschend tolle Brawls und alles andere war auch im guten Bereich. Eigentlich gab es kein Match auf der Card, das wirklich schlecht oder unterdurchschnittlich war. Mit also drei verdammt guten Matches und einer soliden bis guten Undercard kann ich hier echt nicht meckern. Super Event. Hätte ich von einem 1990er Us-Mainstream PPV echt nicht erwartet."
[8.0] "Der Event beginnt mit einem bestenfalls brauchbaren Match zwischen dem nach wie vor grausamen Johnny B. Badd und DDP. Wie es besser geht zeigen dann Regal und Pillman in einem wirklich unterhaltsamen TV-Titelmatch das für mich das zweitbeste des Abends war. Wie immer bei Regal passiert in den ersten fünf Minuten nicht viel, aber danach wird das Match noch schön dramatisch und ist technisch sowieso gut. Danach folgt eines der besseren Nasty Boys Matches. Kein Wunder hier können sie sich Brawl-technisch voll austoben und haben mit Foley und Payne auch noch dankbare Gegner. Kurzes und unterhaltsames Hardcore-Match. Austin und Muta lassen es danach erst einmal langsam angehen. Erst nach 7-8 Minuten nimmt das Match langsam Fahrt auf. Dann wird es aber auch deutlich besser bis zu diesem schlechten DQ-Finish. Die Regel mit der DQ-Finish nach würfen über das oberste Seil war komplett Banane und verdammt viele Matches zerstört. Sting darf dann Rude in einem ordentlichen, aber leider nicht so stark wie erhofften, Match schlagen. Das ganze passiert auch noch ausgerechnet mit Hilfe von Vader. Finish war in meinen Augen leider etwas overbooked. Rhodes und Bunkhouse verprügeln sich danach ordentlich im zweiten Hardcore-Match des Abends was etwas länger war als das erste. Daher konnte hier auch mehr Story erzählt werden. Leider gab es dafür auch mehr Leerlauf. Unterhaltsam war es insgesamt aber dennoch. Dies gilt leider nur bedingt für den Semi-Main Event. Hier zeigt der Boss mal wieder das er in oberen Card-Regionen einfach nichts verloren hat. Einfallsloser Big Man-Brawl der für mich der Tiefpunkt des Abends war. Würdiger Main Event war dann ein weiteres Match in der phänomenalen Match-Serie von Flair und Steamboat. Nach verhaltenem Beginn reissen beide mal wieder die Hütte ab und zeigen das sie einfach eine fantastische Chemie miteinander haben. Würdiger Abschluss eines wirklich starken und fast durchweg unterhaltsamen PPVs."
[9.0] "Das war einer der besten PPVs der WCW-Geschichte. Von Anfang bis Ende eigentlich durchweg als gut zu bezeichnen. Das Tagteam-Match war mein Highlight. Schade das die WCW mit der Verpflichtung von Hogan nie mehr dieses Niveau erreichen konnte..."
[8.0] "Einer der besten WCW-PPVs EVER! Da stimmt von vorne bis hinten eigentlich alles, angefangen beim grandiosen Tag Team-Match, das für das damalige Mainstream-Wrestling fast schon revolutionär war, weiter beim intensiven Bunkhouse-Match und dem starken Muta/Austin-Match, das leider durchs dumme Ende gebremst wurde und endend beim Gusto-Stückerl zwischen Flair und Steamboat, das zwar nicht an ihre Trilogie von 1989 rankommt, aber mit dem meisten WCW-Main Events der 90er den Boden aufwischt. Flair hatte zu dieser Zeit großen Booking-Einfluss, was sich beim Spring Stampede phasenweise wiederspiegelt... hätte man ihn nur mal weitermachen lassen und nicht Hogan geholt!"
[10.0] "Erstklassiger Event. Opener ist halt nix besonderes, doch schon Regal und Pillman zeigen gehobenen Standard. Das Tag Titles Match ist nach heutigen Standards war nicht sonderlich spektakulär, aber wild und unterhaltsam. Austin/Muta und Sting/Rude bleiben zwar hinter ihrem Potential zurück, sind aber ebenfalls ordentliche Matches. Dieletzten drei reissen es dann richtig raus. Bunkhouse Buck gegen Dustin Rhodes ist für die damalige Zeit sehr physisch und brutal, Vader/The Boss ist ein tolles Big Man Match. Und dann der Main Event. Einfach nur Sahne, wenn auch nicht so stark wie die legendäre Trilogie. Trotzdem ein perfekter und hochklassiger Abschluss für ein PPV ohne Ausfälle und mit vielen sehenswerten Matches."
[7.0] "Opener wurde gerade dann beendet, als er angefangen hat Spaß zu machen *1/2, TV Title Match hat mir richtig gut gefallen. Besonders die spannende Schlussphase , mit dem leider enttäuschendem Fi nish ***1/2, Street Fight siehe Matchguide ***, US Title hat mir gut gefallen, auch wenn ich denke , dass da mehr drin war. Austin verhält sich richtig gut seinem Gimmick entsprechend, so passt auch das glückliche Ende in den Matchverlauf ***, Sting vs Rude war meiner Meinung nach sehr enttäuschend. Schlussphase war overbookt und Sieg war auf die Weise ungewöhnlich für einen Face *3/4, Bunkhouse match siehe Matchguide **, Boss vs Vader siehe Matchguide **1/2, Main Event siehe Matchguide ****1/2. Eine gute Show mit 3 guten und einem sensationellen Match. Das ein oder andere Match hat mir jetzt nicht so gut gefallen , daher keine höhere Wertung. Die Wertungen Meltzers kann ich bei 3 Fällen allerdings nicht nachvollziehen, aber wir haben ja schließlich auch nicht mehr 1994. Dennoch empfehlenswerte Show, besonders den Main Event sollte man gesehen haben."

[10.0] "Nur wenige Schwächen hatte dieser PPV, wodurch er zurecht zu einem des besten WCW PPVs aller Zeiten gehört. Der Main Event sticht natürlich hervor, doch auch andere Matches müssen sich keineswegs verstecken, wie beispielsweise das Bunkhouse Match oder der Chicago Streetfight. Etwas enttäuscht war ich vom Television Championship Match, doch nach den restlichen Matches ist auch das locker vergessen."
[9.0] "Was waren die Shows 1994 noch toll, ehe ein rot-gelbes Unheil am Wrestling-Horizont auftauchte. Ric Flair und Ricky Steamboat mit einem unglaublichen Main Event, der nur geringfügig hinter ihren vorherigen Klassikern zurückbleibt. Und auch der Rest der Show lässt sich durchaus sehen, es gibt kaum ein Match, dass sich nicht das Prädikat gut verdient. Vader darf seine Stärken ausspielen und zeigt gegen den Bossman ein sehr gutes Big Men Match und Steve Austin ist ein junges, aufstrebendes Talent. Stunning Steve deutet hier eine große Zukunft an, leider wurde diese einige Monate später binnen weniger Sekunden von Hogans Freund Jim Duggan zerstört ... ja, was war die WCW 1994 noch toll!"

[10.0] "Ein 10 Sterne PPV! Flair vs Steamboat, der alte Klassiker längst vergangener Tage, war eins der besten Matches des überhaupt gigantischen Jahres 1994 in der WCW! Aber auch Sting vs Rude und Austin vs Muta sind schon mehr sehr gut als gut! Regal vs Pillman war auch ok und ausnahmsweise gabs ja mal ein Time Limit Draw..."
